HOW I AIR DRY MY FRIZZY HAIR☝🏼

My hair is very thick and wavy naturally, with quite a lot of frizz! Blow drying and straightening my hair everyday just got way too tiring for me, so I decided to experiment and find a way I could air dry my hair without it getting too frizzy or curly. 🥺 Here is my step-by-step guide on how I have learned to do this👇🏼 STEP #1: Right after washing your hair in the shower, dry your hair with an old cotton T-shirt, NOT A TOWL. 🙅🏻‍♀️ Because T-shirts do not have the rough grooves of a towel, the flat surface allows water to sink in and slides over the hair instead of roughing it up. The T-shirt will absorb excess water and reduce the frizz! STEP #2: PRODUCTS! 😍 I like to apply the L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream
- this serum (more cream-like) really helps bind my split ends together and keeps my hair looking smooth throughout the day🤷🏻‍♀️. This L’Oreal product is super affordable and lasts forever! I then apply a water-based, leave-in conditioner spray. A leave-in conditioner is used to reduce frizz and keeps those soft, beautiful curls nice and smooth without using heat! ❌ I found my leave-in conditioner in a little drugstore in Greece 🇬🇷 last year, but there are hundreds of nice spray in conditioners that you can find almost anywhere! STEP #3: (the most important step): A crucial part of making sure my hair air dries the way I want it to, is to tie it up in a very TIGHT low pony tail. This ensures that the top half of my hair remains as straight as possible and that the bottom of my hair still gets those light curls. I like to continue brushing the ponytail every now and then to make sure it dries smoothly. I hope this will help you guys fight that frizz.💛 Try it out and let me know if it works for you! Paula x

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp!
I’ve always put coconut oil in my hair, since I was a kid. It was something mom would do for me once a week, with a nice hot oil head massage. I never realized it then, but those hot oil massages helped my scalp health. My hair is about a 2b/3a curl, so it’s pretty frizzy and can be dry, and I’m dandruff prone. I’ve never loved that about it until 5 years ago when I started to be more meticulous about my scalp health. So coconut oil is amazing and I still do it. But now I’ve been mixing other oils and products into my routine. Now my weekly routine is: 1. Mask day - SheaMoisture - Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Leave-In Conditioner start with the scalp, massage it in. Then focus on the ends and make sure it’s absorbed. Focus on other dry areas. Brush through. 2. Wash day - L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Shampoo followed by L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Conditioner And then after rinsing everything out, wring out excess water. Let air dry for 10 minutes. Then add a dollop of L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream and a dollop of aussie - Miracle Moist 3 Minute Miracle with Avocado for Dry Hair Repair on the palm of your hand and mix the two products before working it through damp hair. (I always bend over flipping my hair forward to go from root to end). Detangle with fingers. 3. Post wash day - maintain scalp health with a small amount of oil mix. I mix coconut oil with black cumin seed oil and add a couple of drops of rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils. 4. Mid week day - another round of oil mix. Add rose hip essential oil if necessary for extra hydration. 5. Same as 4 6. Same as 4 7. Pre mask day - work towards heavier oils, if your hair can take it. Mine LOVES extra virgin olive oil. So I usually mix a little with coconut and black cumin seed oils with a little bit of rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils. Work it through all of the hair, not just the scalp. I usually braid my hair afterwards to keep the oils from rubbing onto my clothing or any furniture. Rosemary is helpful for creating new hair follicles so the hair follicles are denser (since there are more). Eucalyptus is good for combating dandruff. Rose hip is good for deep hydration, which can help combat dandruff since the scalp doesn’t get dry enough to start flaking. Coconut oil, EVOO, black cumin seed oils help hydrate the hair. They can be heavier so if your hair is finer, use avocado, almond, and/or jojoba oils instead. One week of this specific routine with the L’Oréal and Shea Moisture products and my hair is softer and less tangled. So less hair fallout when brushing. My scalp is also really moisturized, so it’s not itchy or dry or starting to flake. Hair journey updates will occur as often as I remember to do so.

Smells ahhmazing but overall pretty meh...
I have pretty dense, thick, frizzy hair that seems to grow outwards and not down but after a *very* long wait it’s finally a nice longer length (hallelujah 🙌) I bought this to try and keep growing my hair and to keep as much moisture in my waves as possible but unfortunately it just didn’t do anything for me other than drying my frizzy hair out even more 🙃 It smells incredible and I’d definitely recommend the conditioner version, which also smells incredible and left my hair super soft but this is was not the one for me. I’d maybe recommend it to someone who’s hair doesn’t crave as much moisture as mine but I think there’s probably better products out there for my hair type! ☺️

HOLY GRAIL DEFINING CURL CREAM‼️
HOLY GRAIL DEFINING CURL CREAM‼️
cake - The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream For reference, I have type 3A curls and thin hair strands. So, I was going to wait for a couple of more uses with this product, but I just HAD to make this post after using it for the first time because WOW I’M SUPER IMPRESSED! I headed out to buy my usual aussie - Miracle Curls with Coconut Oil Paraben Free Detangling Milk Treatment , but they ran out of stock, and that’s when I stumbled upon this cake - The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream . After long due diligence, I decided to buy it because it’s vegan (no harsh chemicals, parabens and/or sulfates) and it also won an allure’s best of beauty award in 2019. The packaging is beautiful, and, when I opened it after washing my hair, I couldn’t help but notice the lovely and amazing smell that was coming out of this. It’s definitely sweet, but not overwhelming at all. Once I tried it, I noticed that the cream felt so smooth, silky, & lightweight (great for thin hair strands). It has avocado oil, soybean oil, and shea butter in it! It seems like this is definitely the perfect combination (for now) for my hair. I’ve shied away from butter mostly because it can be too heavy for my thin strands, but I guess that having it in smaller quantities works great. My hair is so SHINY, DEFINED, and VOLUMINOUS, and smells like CAKE. I mean, look at it! I can definitely say that this is my NUMBER 1 defining cream. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, please let me know how it feels if you try it. I am definitely going to try more cake products in the near future after finding this holy grail.

Managing Dry Ends ✨
Managing Dry Ends ✨
Back before I chopped my hair off it was very damaged, especially at the ends. It was dry, frizzy, and all around a pain to deal with and look at. This is where IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm came in to save the day. I want to say I have naturally wavy hair that has dealt with years of heat damage, color damage, and is very thick. IGK (which is hands down my favorite hair care brand) claims this hydrating balm conditions the hair without weighing it down. For $29 you get 5 oz of products (I have a sample size of it). It contains: coconut oil to nourish and strengthen shea butter to add moisture argan oil to nourish and strengthen This really brought the moisture back to the ends of my curls. I usually used this on days when I wanted to wear my hair natural and I would distribute a little bit into the ends while it air dried. It’s a very lightweight balm that melts into the hair. I would only use this in my ends because of all the oils it has. It didn’t weigh them down or make them feel greasy. It has a nice fragrance to it but it isn’t too strong which I enjoyed because some hair products I own can definitely give me a headache. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a leave in product to hydrate any dry, damaged ends. #CheriePartner

Lazy to clean your hair every day? This is for you!😍
Lazy to clean your hair every day? This is for you!😍
Lazy to clean your hair everyday? This is for you! My hair is a little bit oily but the end of hair is kind of dry, and I believe that most of people have the same problem with me. Honestly, I’m not a diligent girl, and I heard that we can’t wash hair everyday if we have long hair, cause it will take away the protected cover of our hair, and makes the hair dryer at the hair tip. In this case, my hair will not seem that fresh and airy the second day after washing hair. What do we do if we have to meet someone at once? This time, you need something quick and efficiency. I heard of dry shampoo many years ago, and have tried a lot of products, but my favorite is KLORANE - Dry Shampoo with Nettle Oil Control. This is a French hair care brand, and they also have many great shampoo and hair care products. How this product works? This hair dry shampoo also contains powder that likes other dry shampoo, and it use this dry powder to absorb the oil from the scalp. The spray is smooth and even, and it is not white powder but pink, so that the powder is not very obvious on the hair. How to use it? The method of using it is very easy. The only thing you have to do is press the top, and rub the powder in hair until it totally spreads evenly. I forget to say that there is a tip. When you spray the powder, remember to cover your face or nose and mouth, because I always think that this tiny powder will be inhaled in our body. Just in case. Is this product works well? After applying this powder on hair, my hair looks loose and fresh. It likes that I just finish a shower, and have used a really good treatment. This dry shampoo will not make the hair look dry, but with glowing effect. I feel that my hair looks smoother than it looks before. This is a not very popular brand, but I highly recommend this product if you are a lazy girl like me. You will be surprised!

How I deal with my thick, wavy, and frizzy hair
How I deal with my thick, wavy, and frizzy hair
When I was little my hair used to be straight up curly. Over the years as I grew up (and as my emo phase raged on) I heat styled it to death so depending on how long I go without heat styling I have anywhere from curls to waves. Right now with my hair being so short it’s just simple waves. With it being so short in the back as well it makes it a lot easier for me to straighten it then deal with the waves. The first video is my natural waves I woke up with. I washed my hair the night prior and used the Amika Flash Instant Mask in the shower as well as the Chi Silk Infusion after I got out. The Chi Silk Infusion is something I use on my hair when I wash it regardless of length or curl phase it’s going through (it’s usually a lot curlier when it’s longer). It’s a gel/oil consistency that smooths the hair and makes it feel silky soft. Whenever I heat style my hair I always use the IGK - Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray . I usually part my hair into sections, spray all over, and comb through (which you’ve seen me do in past videos). This smells amazing, acts as a heat protectant, and smooths down any excess frizz (which I get a lot of). Then I take my Paul Mitchell flat iron and iron my hair. I do this in three different sections so everything is straightened properly and I don’t have any waves or bumps. Then I take the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil which I just started using recently. I was surprised with how lightweight this oil was and how it didn’t make my strands feel greasy or weighed down no matter how much I used. It feels silky smooth and I’ve noticed a lot less frizz when I use this product in the ends. This is how I deal with my hair on a normal basis. When it was longer I would usually throw it up in a bun with a head band but with it being so short I can no longer do that. Being shorter with all the smoothing products and heat styling it makes it a lot easier for me to manage throughout the day.

Hands down the best finishing oil 🙏
Hands down the best finishing oil 🙏
I couldn’t find this product to tag but it is available at Sally’s in Canada. This is hands down my favourite finishing oil after I straighten/ curl my hair. I’ve been using this for over 10 years and I can’t get enough! First of all, it smells so good!! It leaves my hair soft and shiny and protects it from environmental damage. It’s about $20 for this size and a little goes a long way! Use it to tame flyaways, or all over (minus the roots) when you finish styling your hair. It doesn’t leave my hair sticky or oily and the scent lingers. The best product for my hair!!

Are Dry Shampoos Worth It?
Are Dry Shampoos Worth It?
Hi everyone, So I previously mentioned that a great way to care for thin and curly hair is to use dry shampoos more often. But I do feel that I need to dive in deeper as to the reasons for that. The picture above is the current dry shampoo that I’m using, but I will provide in the near future a post about a few that have worked for me, so stay tuned! Dry shampoos allows you to wash your hair LESS often! Washing your hair constantly with water and shampoo dries and can damage your hair by stripping away your hair’s essential oils and moisture. Thus, diminishing that washing process protects you from damaging your hair and, by using a dry shampoo, you will be able to get rid of the EXCESS oil ONLY, instead of ALL ESSENTIAL oils. Dry shampoos are also time-saving! Not only do you have to wash your hair less, but the process of using it is very simple. You just make sure that you’re holding the bottle a few inches away from your hair and then you spray it evenly, especially in the roots (or scalp). However, you have to let the product SIT in your hair for a couple of minutes to do its work BEFORE distributing it evenly and then styling on your hair. I personally like to spray it onto my hair and distributing it evenly before going to bed so that I can just focus on styling it the next day. Dry shampoos ADD VOLUME! This is also super amazing, you can lift your hair once again without even having to WET it! If you tend to dye your hair, then dry shampoos help with maintaining your HUE! By diminishing the washing process, that means that your hair color will take LONGER for it to dissipate and that you will need LESS color treatments to maintain the dye. Dry shampoos also have pretty great scents! I know that many who wash their hair more often tend to do it because they sweat a lot and the hair also accumulates the smell. With dry shampoos, you won’t have to worry about that because you’re cleaning your hair and they also have strong scents. Hope that you try these and notice a huge and positive difference in your hair!
