IS LUXURY SKIN CARE EVEN WORTH IT?🙅🏻♀️
I’m sure all of us can agree that skin care should be made a priority, but that doesn’t mean we need to spend thousands of dollars on it. Does it?🤷🏻♀️ Luxury skin care brands like La Mer and Dior are some of the most expensive on the market - I’ve never tried any of these brands because I don’t think I can spend $175 on a moisturizer! I’m sure these products all smell and feel amazing BUT we need to remember that these products are also filled with ingredients like fragrances to smell nice, that really aren’t so good for your skin. We want products that have natural ingredients and solutions to help our skin fight acne and blemishes. We want products that are clean, fragrance free, environmentally-friendly, and of course... affordable. Brands such as The Ordinary and The Inkey List have really shown us that you don’t need to spend lots of money to have an effective skin care routine. I always used cheap drugstore cleansers and moisturizers like Cetaphil...and it worked for a while, until it didn’t. My dermatologist advised me to stop using Cetaphil as it’s “basically just Aqueous Cream”. As I grew up I realized I needed something more effective to really help fight my pimples and blemishes. That’s when I got introduced to pH formula. pH formula is a dermatological skin resurfacing system. It is a bit more expensive than drugstore products but it doesn’t come close to the prices of the high end skin care brands. This brand has changed my life and I don’t think I could ever use anything else. PRODUCTS I USE DAILY: pH formula - E.X.F.O. Cleanse

The Squalane For You
This face oil by Biossance is truly a wonder for my skin. I tried a sample size of it a little over a year ago and it really was one of the first oils that actually helped with my acne and sensitive skin. So when they had this full size as apart of a huge set, I jumped at the chance to finally add this oil to my routine. I feel as though it works well for most skin types. I have semi dry/oily sensitive skin and this oil doesn’t irritate or cause any redness. It has a very subtle rose scent to it. Nothing too over powering. You only need a few drops to apply to your entire face and neck. I feel as though it works well with even acne prone skin. It doesn’t cause any breakouts... but it does help heal and soothe already prominent blemishes. It leaves your skin super soft in the morning!!! BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil

Refreshing Facial Mist to Help You Stay Cool this Summer
As the season change, so does my skin. Because of that, I often switch up my skincare routine and use different products to accommodate my changing skin conditions. I have oily skin, and it produces even more oil when the weather gets hotter. Fortunately, my skin’s inner dryness is less troublesome when summer’s approaching. Nevertheless, I still suffer from uneven skin texture and dull skin all year round, plus hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, enlarged pores, and acne-prone skin. Product: Caudalie Grape Water ($12 / 75ml) CAUDALIE - Grape Water This product is a newly discovered favorite of mine, but it has been a highly regarded classic on the market for a long time. I always make sure to use a face mist and toner throughout the year, even if my skincare routine changes as the seasons change. Usually, in the winter, I would use a more moisturizing face mist and toner to help with inner dryness, whereas, in the summer, I would change to a more refreshing and calming face mist and toner instead to soothe my skin from the burning sun and to prevent more oils being produced. During hotter days, I use the Grape Water both as a face mist and toner because my skin doesn’t need layers and layers of hydration. I love the packaging of this product because you can choose the size. For me, the smaller bottle, 75ml, is enough to get me through the summer and it is easy to carry around. Normally, during summer times, one would expect to be in air-conditioned rooms frequently, and this environment would actually dry up the skin, so it is a good idea to carry a face mist for immediate hydration. The mist also sprays very finely, evenly covering every part of the face, which I am extremely satisfied with. There’s not a strong scent from this product, which I really like, and a lack of fragrance means that it is appropriate for sensitive skin. The price is also very kind to the wallet, given the amount and effect this face mist provides. The texture is just clear water. My Experience with this product: I had a high expectation for this product because of all the good reviews that I have been seeing online and the functions it claims to achieve, including toning, setting, and hydrating the skin. Turns out, this product did not fail my expectation. It did a good job of hydrating my skin, and even setting my makeup in place throughout the day. I normally spray it once across the face after cleansing and then wait for it to dry without patting. This helps to control the oil on my face and for faster absorption. It is suitable for summer because it feels very refreshing and hydrating. It also soothes rosacea and reduces the redness on my skin from the heat. I use this product many times throughout the day to keep refreshing, soothing, and hydrating my skin. Even though I have only been using this product for a week, I highly recommend this product for all skin types. I love this product because not many face veils of mist can be this refreshing and hydrating at the same time, not to mention its amazing setting powder! Thanks to its affordable price and convenient packaging, I would definitely repurchase it in the future.

MEDERMA - Quick Dry Oil If you are over 30 years old, dry skin is just one of your skin problems. If you add little wrinkles appearing out of nowhere and hormonal acne breakouts here and there, you have a recipe for disastrous skin. No moisturizer in the world was good enough for my face. They feel great when I put them on, but as soon as I wash my face, my skin feels dryer than before. Also, I’m a busy person... who isn’t nowadays? 🙄 so, natural masks were too time consuming to do on a daily basis. So, I decided to look for another solution for a daily routine.
