How marked up my face is atm
This is to use as a reference for my first post about my first full glam satisfying look. You can see my spots are pretty bright red atm and I have scarring and uneven texture from scabs. My face is actually a little more even and healed since it had been 2 days since my trip to the movies. I pick my scabs almost everyday so the healing is very slow. I shower and pick at night so they are scabbed up by morning and I can put makeup over them. I just started double cleansing which I find very helpful. I clean up and tone using a mixture of water, tea tree and witch hazel on a cotton ball, which helps tremendously. I think part of the reason my acne was so bad was because I had run out of this mixture which I use on my face nightly. Once I started using it again as I felt the urgency, things got better way faster. It helps to clean my skin, calm the inflammation and dry up the wound. Using oil for moisturiizng my skin works well because my scabs are more evenly textured around the edges so I pick less. What I learned from this whole mess is that I shouldn't take my skin for granted. I am turning 30 in 3 months and I still get mistaken for a teenager and I think I want to keep it that way! I now make sure to take my skincare seriously everyday.

My Makeup Journey - 1st satisfying full glam
I've been on a makeup journey for the past few months and I've been peaking in the last 2 weeks. I've become obsessed watching JuicyJas videos and buying lots of makeup! Some makeup was given to me from friends' ipsy bags, bought as Sephora with help from an associate (very beginning of journey) and a bulk was bought from Ulta, Walmart and Target based on reviews by JuicyJas and my own curiosity. This is my first really good, satisfying full glam look. I've had huge trouble with acne from one particular break out induced by stress about a month ago which really kickstarted my makeup experimentation. I used to wear barely anything but this breakout was super distracting and embarrassing as I am a scab picker and cannot leave things alone. My face has big red spots from picked scabs and dark scars. I have been doing this all my life and know they will go away and fade eventually. The skin finally almost healed. This whole look took about two hours which included my skin care routine, letting moisturizers and primers set, and washing sponges and cleaning brushes. As you can see I used a huge amount of products. They worked well to cover my acne and it was my first time doing a pink eyeshadow look. I loved it!! I only use a small amount of NARS foundation because it's pretty heavy which I don't like much but I do love adding a small amount over my troubled areas over my Maybelline foundation. I also used e.l.f. eyeliner tape to do the wing for the first time. It worked so well! I have been doing winged eyeliner for years and I'm still not very good at it so I was so happy to find out this product existed. I can do winged eyeliner but it takes much longer to get it just right without the tape. I'm excited for when I better at doing makeup and have less acne to cover up so I don't have to spend so much time getting ready but still get the same results. I am a very expressive person and would love to do full glam everyday! I love coordinating my eyes and lips with my outfits. I went to the movies with this look and wore a pastel pink beanie and pastel pink sneakers to match it. My next project is figuring out how to do my eyebrows!

Mermaid Eyes 🧜♀️ 💚💙 #CheriePartner
Hey Cherie Beauties! Halloween is just around the corner so I thought I would wear my wig today. I’ve been wanting to do mermaid eyes as well and thought the two meshed and went well together. I used JSC x Shane Dawson’s Conspiracy palette and one shade from the Morphe x Jaclyn Jill palette to create this look. I used: -Food videos (transition) -Cheese Dust (crease and lower lash) -My Ride is Here (outer corner and lower lash) -Pool Party from the Jaclyn Hill palette (lids) -Illuminatea (outer lid) -Conspiracy (inner lid) -Ranch (inner corner, brow highlight and cheek highlight) -Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Exit -House of Lashes in “Temptress Wispy” I hope this gives some inspiration for Halloween...if were even going to have it this year 😭 The wig is from Amazon. Legit luxury but worth it? 🤔
You are all super familiar now of the brand Tatcha. It became really popular and you started seeing a ton of influencers touting their products. This brand was started by a Missouri-born Taiwanese American who holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She worked in large corporations for over 10 years and decided she wanted to start a skincare line with a more holistic approach using classical Japanese beauty secrets passed down by generations that took a different approach to skincare - that less is more. You’ll see some really unique ingredients in Tatcha’s products! So needless to say, I needed to try it! Here’s one of the products I’ve tried. TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream Claims: An anti-aging eye cream that melts to release a double shield of hydration with line-smoothing liquid silk and moisture-locking Japanese White Peony for youthful, radiant eyes. Cushiony balm designed for comfort around the delicate eye area melts upon application to release a powerful moisturizing elixir with liquid silk. Blurs the look of fine lines and wrinkles, helping skin resemble the soft, smooth, natural radiance of pure silk. Ideal for prepping the eye area before makeup application. Key ingredients 🌸 🌸Japanese White Peony Extract- helps strengthen the skin barrier function, providing a “seal” that enables the thinnest skin around the eye area to retain moisture for reduced dryness and sensitivity. 🌸Silk Extract- Includes the two proteins that comprise silk — sericin and fibroin — that together closely parallel the amino acid structure of human skin. This complete protein provides a protective veil of hydration like a second skin without weighing it down, revealing a lustrous glow. 🌸Hadasei-3 Complex- a signature trio of pure Japanese superfoods, double fermented to yield essential skin nutrients for visibly radiant, more youthful-looking eyes. My experience- I know a lot of us think eye creams are just unnecessary because you can use a regular moisturizer and it works the same. I agree with this with the exception of a few eye creams and this is one of them. After applying this lightly to my under eye area, the skin just looks better with a hint of brightness. As I’m aging, I notice the skin under my eyes getting saggier and most likely thinner and since I’ve been using this eye cream, alternating with one other, that is actually getting better. It’s looking brighter and my eye bags aren’t as bad. This cream really does seem to melt into silk on my skin and looks like it literally lifts that area. I’ll definitely continue using and provide some before and after pics to see how it goes with long term use but for now I really like it! This is expensive at $60.00 for .05 oz. so I wouldn’t really recommend this unless you are trying to combat aging. Otherwise I do think a less expensive cream or just a moisturizer is fine! 🌸🌸🌸

Timeless makeup w/ July Boxycharm
I received my boxy charm boxes yesterday and I am pretty impressed! I received both June and July boxes at the same time. BC had issues delivering my June box so I got both boxes at the same time. This is my first time trying this out and so far I am pretty impressed. I used the fill up orange palette on the eyes. However, I am not a huge fan of this palette. There wasn’t enough color pay off and the palette didn’t have enough shades to deepen the look so I mixed this palette with Colourpop’s California love palette to create this look. touch in SOL - Fill Up Orange & Pink Parade Eyeshadow Palette I received Hourglass scattered light glitter shadow in the shade “blade” and this is the star of the show of my eye look. I used it on the inner lids. I believe this is what made the look. HOURGLASS - Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow I used doucce’s graphic liner and it surprisingly impressed. I may like this more than the Stila liquid liner. The bristles are a little more firm so I had complete control of my wing liner. However, this liner isn’t as dark as stila’s. doucce - Fierce and Fine Graphic Liner I like this bronzer. The last 2 dark shades really bronze me up for the summer. My regular bronzer is currently too light for me so it’s nice to know this bronzer palette can be used all year round. ACE BEAUTE - Bronzed In Paradise My favorite in my June box is the artist couture coco bling diamond powder. Holy moly! This is definitely the brightest highlighter I own. #Pinky Rose COSMETICS - Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder: Supernova[products]#[FiveStars] Honestly I am impressed with boxy charm. Besides make up, I received some skin care items as well. For 25 USD a month, I feel it pays for itself. Considering the hourglass scattered light glitter eyeshadow is 29 USD by itself. I am a happy customer for sure. Have you tried Boxy charm? What are your thoughts? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Another Classic Smoky Eye + Extra review 💕
I forget how a pale pink smoky eye goes so well with brown 😍 Second time using the NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette palette and haven’t gotten any reactions again! 🥳 So far I’m a big fan of the color Lash line. It’s not totally black and not totally gray. When you smoke it out it doesn’t look muddy and the color still stays the same rather diffusing into something else. I have this experience with Colourpop shadows. Although it can be cool, I can find it quite annoying at times especially when it comes to layering colors. Sometimes when I layer Colourpop shadows a completely different color combination appears because the shadows essentially mixed into each other. I like how stable this formula is and the texture has remained consistent. The more shimmery shades are slightly more sheer, meaning it will allow your skin to peak through the shades. To build up more coverage in the shimmery shades, I have to lay down a colored base, set it, and then place the shimmer on top to give it that nice POP. If you’ve ever gotten upset when your shimmer shade completely dulls out when applying a matte shade on top for the sole purpose of building extra pigment, I have good news for you! The formula for each shade complements each other well enough that it doesn’t do that! Just make sure you’re blending well and use appropriate amounts/techniques(too much of anything/your matte shade won’t help if you’re planning to pull off more shimmer as your end result). I struggled a bit with this when I used ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette You could definitely see a “blurred” spot where I placed the matte shade on top of the shimmer using this palette. In theory, you’re “suppose” to put the matte before the shimmer. However, it’s always good to be able to interchange them, especially if you need to “compensate” because one eye might look darker than the other. Trying this formula makes me curious about her other palettes! I wonder if I would get a reaction with the brighter colors 🤔

Over-The-Counter Acne Treatment 101: Esthetician's Guide
Many of us have found ourselves in the same position: It’s time to revamp your skincare routine or simply replace one of your holy grails. You watch a couple of youtube videos, read some product reviews, and you feel ready to take on the drugstore. But as soon as you arrive, you find yourself overwhelmed by all of the choices in the skincare aisle. Suddenly, the acne cream you were set on is being overshadowed by the appeal of a similar product from a different brand. The only concern? They have two very different active ingredients.
