Ingredients to Build your Routine Around

PamelaSargent
I am 35 years old with two kids. I have dry / normal skin. My top concerns are fine lines & wrinkles, preventing aging, dullness, and dark circles. When I started my skincare routine, all I knew was that I started to notice fine lines & wrinkles and wanted to buy new products for “anti-aging”. After a lot of research, here are my Top 5 Ingredients with proven benefits for 30s Skin: 1. Retinol Retinol is a powerhouse for wrinkles. It is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It alters the behaviour of aged skin cells. It smooths skin texture, enhances radiance and treats aging. Retinol can be irritating to skin, so build up your tolerance gradually starting with a lower percentage and only 1-2 days per week. DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil If you need an alternative to retinol because you have sensitive skin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, bakuchiol is a good plant-based all natural alternative to retinol or rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
2. Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, irregular pigmentation, and promotes healthier collagen production. It neutralizes free radical damage and great for AM routine. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Duo SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum
3. Exfoliate / AHAs Exfoliation is about boosting cell turnover. You should do it twice a week. Use different acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Build up a tolerance. You can use toners, serums, or creams. Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment
SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment
The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum 4. Peptides Peptides preserve and boost collagen production. Peptides are short chain amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins such as collagen. It improves the appearance of firmness and wrinkles. Extensive research supports that peptides improve skin function and appearance. The Ordinary - ''Buffet''
OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides
PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster 5. Hydration In your 30s your skin tends to get dehydrated. Hydration will plump up skin. Add a hydrating toner, facial spray, hyaluronic acid serum. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
**BONUS** SPF Never forget you sunscreen ☀️

Patience is Key 🔑
Pictured: left side The right side of my face was not as bad but did have similar results. I wanted to post my progress to show that results take time (normally weeks to months)! Whenever I recommend a product to someone, I make sure to tell them to wait at least a few weeks before judging a product because it can take anywhere from 24hrs to a few months to see results from a product/active. Time table with consistent use: Cleansers: generally right away Toners: 1-2 weeks Moisturizers: immediately-weeks Chemical exfoliants: 2-8 weeks Acne products (SA/BPO): 24hrs-12weeks Niacinamide: 8-12 weeks OTC Retinoids: 3-12 weeks Prescription Retinoids: 2-6 weeks Time will vary from person to person. Consistency and patience are key! Products that helped me from May to now: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser @bibalosangeles 2.8% BPO Acne Treatment

Hey whoever is reading this please rate my skincare routine I need to know if it’s okay or not thank you.. 🔆PM🔆 First I start with the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser This cleanser is amazing for my skin it cleanses very well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stretchy after words. Then I follow up with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product is really great but I feel like it stop working for me for some reason. After that I go in with RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil I love this oil so much not only does it fix your complexion but it heals your skin of any kind of damage. I have only used it for about a month so far I like it. Next I go with CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I don’t really have anything to say about this one I’ve used it for almost a year now and had no problems with it. After moisturizing I use sun bum - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 this is an amazing sunscreen super lightweight, use it everyday. Then to finish it off I apply The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I’ve used this one for quite a while now and I haven’t really seen much of a difference unfortunately I might stop using this one so please recommend me something for dark circles. Ps: I use this product for dark circles. 🌙 PM🌙 After I shower I don’t cleanse again because technically I’m cleansing with just water in the shower. I go in withThe Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque love this product the way it cleans your pores and leaves your skin feeling smooth is just great. I only use this product on Friday’s. Then I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution only on mondays once a week. Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this product is amazing it feels really nice in the skin. Then I follow up with The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' After that I use CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum I use this for my dark circles but sometimes I’ll use it on my entire face. Then I go back with the CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Please someone tell me how this is I really need to know if this is okay ....

How I Built an Entire Routine for Under $150
For a long time I was intimated by skincare because it seemed very expensive and overwhelming. How do I know what to buy 🤷🏻‍♀️ When I started noticing wrinkles that was enough of a push for me to invest in skincare. Here’s some great lessons I’ve learned to build your skincare routine affordably: 1. Research to figure out what you need- here’s where my love of @cheriestarted! I read lots of reviews, advice, so I knew what type of products I should buy and what ingredients I should focus on. 2. Keep it Simple It’s easy to want to buy new products, adding new steps or ingredients to your routine, or try out the hype after reading reviews! Focus on your concerns and add slowly to give your skin time to adjust and see what’s working. It’s better to have a few great products that you love than many products you don’t use. I started with: Cleanse AM antioxidant serum, PM anti-aging serum Moisturizer Sunscreen Toners, eye cream, facial oil, and masks can be extras if you are looking to save money 3. Spend your money on the middle - if you can only splurge on one product make it the serum! This has the most benefit. Drugstore cleansers, moisturizers, and spf are great! 4. Try some great affordable brands such as The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Versed, or CeraVe 5. Buy trial size first, Value Sets or better free rewards before investing in a new product 6. Once you’ve found your Holy Grails keep your eyes open for sales to stock up, join the brands mailing list or reward program, buy value size Here’s my current skincare line-up and how much it cost me: CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild Use AM & PM Bought on sale for $27 for 13.5oz CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Use PM Free from Clinique rewards pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic Rotate PM Bought multi-pack on sale for $22 OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème Use AM and / or PM Bought on sale $25 The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Use AM $6.80 VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Use AM $26.99 OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides Use PM Bought on sale for $32 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum Use PM 1-2 times per week Free from Sephora Rewards Bazaar CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator Use AM & PM Free gift with purchase from Clinique CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer Use PM when not using lactic acid Free offer with purchase from Sephora The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Use PM $9.90 (Not pictured) currently using my kids Banana Boat Kids Simply Protect SPF 50 as my sunscreen

rosehip seedoil 🌹
I love using this oil it changes my skin care routine. When using this oil I needed something close to retinal, so when using this 100% Prue rosehip oil I like to use 3 drops in the morning and when at night use 5 drops. This oil gives me perfect hydrogenation for my dry skin especially in the winter time. The oil 100% pure rose Canine seed oil contain high omega fatty acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil The benefits of using this oil includes Anti-inflammatory, calm redness, hydrate dry skin, treat scars and wrinkles Overall I'm helping using this oil for my morning and night time skin care routine don't forget to like and follow and also follow my Instagram page @sweet_citrustea

Skincare 101: Retinoids
Retinoids (vitamin A derivatives) are antioxidants and encourage cell turnover, stimulate collagen and elastin production, suppress excess serum production, and inhibit tyrosinase production. They prevent damage from free radicals, reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, prevent hyperpigmentation, fade hyperpigmentation, reduce acne, and minimize the appearance of pores. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲? • Retinoic Acid: Tretinoin (ie Retin-A) and isotretinoin (ie Accutane) is the gold-standard of aging and is typically quite effective at treating acne. Prescription-Only. I can’t preach my love for my Apostrophe - Topical Formula 0.05% Tret formula enough. It has been the only product to dramatically reduce my acne, plus banished my oily skin and orange peel texture. But go slow, it’s potent! If you can afford it, go the Tretinoin route, as it is the most clinically-supported retinoid for the benefits it offers! • Naphthoic Acid: Adapalene (ie Differin) has retinoid-like activity and is approved by the FDA for treating acne. Available OTC up to 0.1%. I had horrible breakouts and irritation using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel , but know many love it! • Retinoic Acid Ester: Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (ie, HPR, Granactive Retinoid) is new to the OTC retinoid scene as a gentler retinoid with similar benefits, but has limited clinical data to back up its claims. I tried The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion and honestly saw no difference, positive or negative. But I’ve thought of using this as a hand treatment alongside a moisturizer with sunscreen! • Retinaldehyde: Retinal and retinyl-aldehyde are broken down into retinoic acid in one step, making it the most potent/effective OTC option for anti-aging. I’ve not tried Medik8 but know they’re hugely popular for their retinal products! • Retinol: Retinol breaks down into retinoic acid in two steps. You can find it up to 1% OTC for reducing sun damage and wrinkles. I love The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane for its gentleness and moisturizing formula (perfect for dry skin), but a more bougie option that I’ve enjoyed is DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream , though it is deceptively potent so be sure to go slow! • Retinol Ester: Retinyl acetate, “” linoleate, “” palmitate, “” propionate takes three steps to break down into retinoic acid. There’s not much research to support these esters but they are known to be very gentle.

Retinol alternative for sensitive skin!
Did you know bakuchiol is found in the seeds and leaves of a Babchi plant? PRODUCT: Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Smoothing Serum is a natural anti-aging serum that acts similarly to a retinol. It’s meant to gently fight signs of aging, improve skins texture and hyperpigmentation. The highlighted ingredients are: 💜Bakuchiol- helps with skin texture and brightness, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and controls acne. 💜Polyhydroxy Acids- (aka PHAs) are chemical exfoliants and help remove dead skin and also help other ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin 💜Tremella Mushroom- nourishes skin, improves elasticity, slows skin aging process, and brightens complexion. MY THOUGHTS: This has been my first experience with Bakuchiol and I’m loving it! I think this is a gentle alternative for retinol, especially for those with sensitive skin. I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter and smoother. I specifically use this serum when my skin is acting up and it does a great job at controlling my blemishes. The texture feels extremely light but a little sticky (due to the Tremella Mushroom) which I don’t mind because the application of other products takes the stickiness away. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a retinol alternative! SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰♻️ This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging

Alternative to Retinol- drug store dupe!
What is Bakuchiol? Pronounced ba-koo-heel, is an extract derived from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant; a common herb used in Indian Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines. It has anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties which help to heal, calm, and soothe the skin. According to a study in The British Journal of Dermatology, bakuchiol is not only as effective as retinol at targeting fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone; it’s also less irritating. Like a retinol, it triggers skin cells to create several types of collagen that are useful in skin health and anti-aging but unlike retinol it doesn’t causes excess dryness, irritations, and sun sensitivities. Can you use Bakuchiol with retinol? If your skin is sensitive to retinol, Bakuchiol is a perfect alternative. But, if your skin is not sensitive to retinol Paula’s Choice recommended that you use them together. According to Paula’s Choice Skin advice/ Ingredient spotlight— Yes, both ingredients can be used together. “Bakuchiol’s calming and stabilizing properties let retinol work better and increase skin’s tolerance to this well-studied ingredient (1). This duo can make an impressive difference for visible skin concerns like wrinkles, dark spots, and loss of firmness.” ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Dual Phase Bakuchiol Serum This is a unique ampule with a top layer of antioxidant and probiotic rich essence and the bottom is a moisturizing serum blend of Bakuchiol, Blue Tansy, and Probiotics. All you have to do is shake well, apply a couple of drops on cleansed, toned, skin before moisturizer and oils. It sinks so well into the skin- giving it an extra bit of moisture. And it because it is so gentle I can use it day and night. I honestly didn’t know that it has blue tansy in it! It’s a perfect surprise and I need all the calming and soothing ingredients I can get this winter. I’m not sure if it’s a dupe for any of these other expensive serums below but if you are new to this ingredients and you are in the market for retinol substitute, you can get this $20 serum at Ulta, Sprouts, or Acure.com. Or if you are feeling fancy, can use it along side these serums/ moisturizer HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum THE inkey LIST - Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum OLE HENRIKSEN - Goodnight Glow Retin-Alt Sleeping Crème Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Have you tried any of these serums or cremes? Let me know your thoughts/ other products I should try below. Thank you! Be Kind, Stay Beautiful.

Is it going to be worth the 💸?
I just received this in the mail and I am SO EXCITED! I have heard so many good things about the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum and as I read further about it, the SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin CF Prevent Serum Antioxidant Treatment seems to be more suited for my oily and acne-prone skin. I will be trying this product and make a review in a month. I hope it is going to be worth the price. 🙃 Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments!

December/January Empties!
I’ll start this off with my favourites: MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk I’m so sad that I’ve run out of this. If you don’t like the feel of sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, pick this up! you won’t regret it! I also ran out of the Volition sunscreen that I paired along side this one, but recycled it before I took a picture. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask (📍) Again, was so sad to run out of this, check out my post featuring this and the new hair mask I picked up for more info! THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum If I could give this 100 stars out of 10, I would. This is my favourite serum of all time and I always have two back ups in my collection! Now for my meh products: SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum I liked the way that this felt don’t get me wrong, but I think because of the shimmer effect it has, it may have been breaking me out a bit. This didn’t have enough in it to last me long enough to see any effects. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream this is unbelievable. Although I will never buy this at the $104 price point, it’s a beautiful, thick, heavy cream. Wonderful for winter skin. fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm, Watermelon I actually have the lime+mint scent, but this is also amazing. I’ve just began started applying all my lip balms on damp lips, and I’ve found it’s made the biggest difference. No more dry lips! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion (📍) If you’ve seen my marula oil post, you’ve seen that I don’t support Drunk Elephant anymore, this is one of my last products I have from them (that they sent me) and it was too light to be a body cream. I have really dry legs and this didn’t do the trick. I ended up keeping this on my desk as a hand lotion and it worked well! Now for my no good product: Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara (📍) I don’t understand that hype around this mascara. On me, it doesn’t make my lashes look longer or fuller, it flakes super easy and it doesn’t hold my curl. Happy to have finished this so I can move on. 📍= product was sent to me for free

🧡 FAVORITE Vitamin C Product 🧡
⁣Don’t forget to check out my Instagram for more content! @skincare_by_reba 😍 🧡 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐂 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬! 🧡⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? Meet the boss, SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum This serum is “targeted to quickly fight the look of dullness, dark spots, and discolorations at the source, while diminishing the signs of premature aging. Skin looks firmer and plumper, as youthful skin bounce and even-tone are restored.” ⁣And again featuring SR’s blue hearts bubble wrap that I just can’t get enough of! ⁣ 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: For once, I can say I tried several other Vitamin C products before ultimately coming back to this one. I promise I don’t have blind loyalty to SR! 😂 I started with Pixi to get used to Vitamin C at a good price point. Then I tried CEO in a kit my mom got me for my birthday (which ended up being the starting point for my SR obsession). Once that bottle was gone, I wanted to try something else just because there are so many Vitamin C products out there! I tried Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma and wasn’t impressed - it was way too tacky for my liking. I also tried Ole Henriksen’s Truth Serum for a while, which I liked but still found myself itching to get back to CEO. ⁣ ⁣ One thing I really love is that it is a creamy serum, and is so hydrating for my skin that I often don’t need to follow with moisturizer! Some people really like the clear, orange, sticky Vitamin C serums on the market but for me, CEO is the one. It literally makes me glow, and has helped immensely with some PIH I have. I love it so much that I’ve recently added a Vitamin C night to my PM routine so I never go a day without this baby ☺️⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: The price point is identical to A+ at $85/oz or $122/1.7oz. If you are wanting to try this product without the commitment to the price tag, I encourage you try it out in one of SR’s kits first! Bright Young Thing is the kit I got for my birthday last year, and it was a perfect intro to the brand for me!⁣ ⁣ 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯 𝘊 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘮??

Weekly Treatment Schedule
I have a set, written down schedule for all my treatments for the month, because I have a really bad memory and find that if I don’t write stuff down I tend to over use or under use the products. This is how my routine was all through 2020, and have had no problem so far. I use The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane 3 times a week, on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. I’m pretty experienced when it comes to retinol, so I feel comfortable using it 3 times a week. This is also the only one of my schedules that isn’t set in stone. When my skin is feeling more sensitive, or is feeling very dry, I might only use this 2 times a week. I exfoliate using the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner and the SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment 2 times a week on Tuesday’s and Sunday’s. I usually use these on the same days, but again, if my skin is feeling sensitive or dry, I will leave out the toner and just use the serum. I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week for 10 minutes, I use this on Thursday’s and Friday’s are my resting day where I focus on repairing and hydrating my skin. 📍= product was sent to me for free

Farmacy Farmer’s Market Kit 😄😐🙁
Me: dry-combo, currently acne prone, sensitive or very sensitive For my first dive into Farmacy products, I purchased the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit so that I could try a variety of their bestsellers. Overall, a good tester kit for your money with adequately sized samples! (Much bigger than the Glow Recipe sample sizes.) From favorite to least favorite: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This was my first ever cleansing balm and I fell in love 😍 Your skin feels so smooth and moisturized afterwards. As a dry skin person I often used this as a single cleanse and didn’t notice any breakouts. I knocked off a star because it contains fragrance.... but actually I LOVE the smell... I just worry about my sensitive skin. The next balm I’m trying out is the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This was a nice lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t like the smell quite as much as the balm but it was fine. It did leave a bit of a shiny sticky residue for me but that went away when i added oil on top. Overall, not enough moisture for my skin right now, but I could see myself loving it in the summer! The next lightweight moisturizer I am trying is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I wanted to love this one, and about half the time I loved it, but about half the time I HATED it. When it was good, it made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated, and brightened. When it was bad, it BURNED my skin, horribly at times. I guess it depends on how my skin barrier is doing? Probably not a repurchase since it was so unpredictable on my sensitive skin. I love honey and would love to hear thoughts on other honey masks to try! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry My least favorite of the group, this one was just too sticky for me. I also didnt like the smell... it was almost sour smelling? Idk, just not for me. I’m now trying the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumfor my next vitamin C product. I also now purchased FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry and it is too soon for a full review but right now I am liking it a lot! It is not sticky, and does not have the funny smell of the serum. What do you guys think?? What Farmacy products should I try next? I’m eyeing the FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizeror the FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerand the FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serumand maybe the FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papaya!! Let me know what you think!

Honey Honey 🍯
Want to wake up glowing and ready to show off your fresh face? Then look no further than FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum This product is a resurfacing night serum with glycolic acid , AHA’s, and BHA’s. This 3 in 1 product provides the following benefits: “Refines pores. BHA from willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid, helps visibly diminish pore size. Gently exfoliates. Flower acids from hibiscus extract help exfoliate and clarify skin. Perfect for all skin types. Hyaluronic acid, along with our proprietary honey blend, deliver intense yet gentle hydration to ensure skin is never dry or over-stripped. I use this no more than every other night. I have a plethora of serums, so I like to rotate them. And I don’t like to use an exfoliant everyday, even if it is a gentle one like this. Make sure to be generous with your moisturizer following this, and maybe opt for one that’s more hydrating. I love my GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream however, I am pressed on Farmacy’s honey line, so I think I will be purchasing FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerfor night time use. This picture is no makeup, no filter, just a natural radiance thanks to this HG serum. ✨🍯 🤩🌙

Dry, redness prone, sensitive skin
Hi everyone :) Since I can remember I’ve dealt with dry and sensitive skin. My skin is always red to some level. I’ve been to dermatologists in the past and they always said it was something I would grow out of. I’m 27 and while my skin has improved over time, I still have a lot of redness. I was never told that I have rosacea, but I’m pretty that’s what I’m dealing with! Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for products that might help? While my current routine works well for my skin, I’m curious to see if there’s anything else I could incorporate to help with my redness. Thanks in advance!

Nighttime Daily Routine
I started this routine a few months ago and it has been working for my dry skin. I start with micellar water Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water This helps remove makeup from my face before cleansing. It’s gentle and does not irritate my skin. Even when I don’t wear makeup I use it because of the tint in my sunscreen. Then I cleanse CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I use this product and it does not dry out my skin at all, it takes a while to get used to the lotion texture of it. This cleanser does not remove makeup well for me and that’s also why I use the micellar water. Then Niacinamide The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this because it works well with the retinol and helps reduce irritation that can be caused by the retinol. I am interested in trying a different Niacinamide because I read the percentage in this is higher than necessary Then retinol VERSED - PRESS RESTART I got this retinol, because I heard it was great for beginners. After I finish with this I am looking to try something new. I started using it only 1x/week and slowly increased. I now use 5x/week Then moisturizer CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I chose a cream over the lotion because it is thicker and is better for the dryer winter months. I used to wake up with dry skin on my forehead and around my lips, but since using this it has really helped! JOSIE MARAN - 100% Pure Argan Oil I started using this oil when my face my feeling extra dry, but have recently added it to my routine every night because I love the way it makes my face feel. I feel like my skin is glowing when I wake up in the morning. I love the consistency, it’s not thick or heavy. It is pricey, but totally worth it for dry skin in the winter. 2x/week I exfoliate The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I use this AHA on the days that I don’t use the retinol. Retinol and AHAs should not be used together I read that it was a good option for dry skin.

Nighttime routine for combo skin
up&up - All In One Micellar Cleansing Water this is a good dupe for the garnier micellar water and it removes even waterproof mascara without ripping out your lashes 👍 CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin this is the best face wash that I have tried because it leaves my skin super smooth and clean The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA this is a really good serum for textured skin. It makes my skin super glowy and helps with texture The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA this is a good moisturizer and it’s good for combo or dry skin because it’s really thick and moisturizing #CeraVe - Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM[products]#[FiveStars] this is my favorite moisturizer ever! It has niacinamide and 3 ceramides in it. Also it’s really lightweight and it’s oil free #Up and Up - 10% benzoyl peroxide gel[products]#[FourStars] this is a dupe for the clean & clear persa gel. It works pretty well but it takes a while for it to work. Also it’s only $3.59 at target The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution this is the best face mask if you have acne prone skin. It makes my skin so smooth and feel so clean

my Sephora haul
Do you ever walk into Sephora thinking you’re gonna buy one thing, and you end up walking out with 5 more products than you intended? Well, that was me today! I went in to get a lactic acid serum, and I walked out with so much more, sorry wallet! I got a variety of products, from a brow gel to a highlighter palette to a whole set of sample mascaras! These are all brands that are new to me, so I can’t wait to try these out! Like and follow for more coming soon!

Little but mighty!
Ok, first things first: This little guy has helped me well with my face mask acne. I already did a full review on it on my previous post, but I believe this little bottle deserves its own space here. The one thing I CANNOT stand about this product is the smell 😩😩😩 It’s super strong and definitely not pleasant. However, when it comes to its effectiveness, I must say it’s great. My skin does feel clean, like I’ve taken away a thin layer of extra whatever was there (sorry lol, it’s hard to explain). It burns a bit on my breakouts, but it has helped reduce them too. This product is NOT to be overdone, it’s a strong formula that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which can be damaging to the skin when not used properly. PLEASE use at night only, and REMEMBER to use SPF during the day as well as minimum sun exposure for the sake of your skin staying healthy and getting the most benefit out of AHA’s!! Add this to your PM routine.
HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Blue Tansy—provides antioxidants and soothes/ calms sensitivities, and Kukui Oil—fends off free radicals, balances serums, provides hydration and nourishment. Also contains moisturizing ingredients like plant based squalane, jojoba and vitamin E but if you’re in pinch and can’t spare the $72 (+tax) for 50ml bottle at Sephora. Just use nightly, a couple of drops on cleanse skin (after your toner, essence, serums, and other treatments). Massage in as (recommended on the packaging) in place of your facial moisturizer. Or apply it after your moisturizer. My skin having been loving this great product, my breakouts are less angry and red. And my skin doesn’t feel tight or dried out the morning after. I also can’t wait to test out the mask and report back! Love. This. Oil! I started off with a sample size (from the Multivitamins Kit) and it didn’t take me long to order the full size so I wouldn’t be without. FINALLY! It’s mine!
This is one brand I’ve been stalking and I’ve finally got my hands on the highly raved, much talked about PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I’d say what really draws me to this particular brand is its commitment to highly effective, well tested products. I feel they really listen to their customers and value their feedback. Well, imagine my surprise when in pops an email from a Paula’s Choice social media team member asking for my address to send me some products just for being me?!? I couldn’t respond fast enough with a...., “YES!” I’m not sure why I’ve been sleeping on this brand for so long. I follow so many diehard fans that swear and have visual proof of the changes their products have made. I have a feeling it’s all going to change after this... Just a little about PC if you haven’t heard of the brand (taken from the website) : Did you know that the founder, Paula was actually fired from her job working at a cosmetic counter for explaining to a customer what products could and couldn’t do for their skin? (This is what we need more of!! I was immediately drawn to the brand when I first heard about that!) Our Philosophy Science & Truth Highly Effective Formulary Excellence Non-irritating & Fragrance Free Multi-faceted Formulas Cruelty Free Packaged for Potency Environmentally Conscious On the website you can find Skincare Quizzes that can help you develop a Instant Routine or develop a more in-depth Routine at no cost! You can also find Expert Advice Articles on just about any subject you’re curious about. Have a question about ingredients? They have every ingredient known in the beauty industry—-a go-to resource for everyone! Everyone needs to use this! With Paula’s Choice you can choose individual skincare products or you can have an entire skincare routine developed from start to finish! I’ve had on my wishlist, along with the exfoliator I just received, their PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - Anti-Aging Eye Gel Honestly, I want to try it all! I’d probably start swapping out some of the products I currently use for similar items. For instance, I am looking for a replacement vitamin c so I’d trade mine out for theirs. Then the Niacinamide and Hyaluronic and so on. I’m definitely going to do the skincare quiz and see what’s recommended for me! Do you use any Paula’s Choice products? What’s your favorite? Please share! 😘 I’ll be back in a few weeks to tell you what I think of this exfoliator! ❤️🍒

Peptides, what you need to know. 💚
Peptides have been widely thought to help preserve and boost collagen and therefore helping the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. But do polypeptides actually do anything? POLYPEPTIDES TYPE OF INGREDIENT: Protein MAIN BENEFITS: Smoothes fine lines, increases collagen production, decreases the appearance of pores. WHO SHOULD USE IT: Generally, polypeptides are safe for all skin types. HOW OFTEN YOU CAN USE IT: For maximum effectiveness, polypeptides should be applied during both morning and nighttime skincare routines. WORKS WELL WITH: Getting a facial peel before applying peptide products will help peptides penetrate the skin more deeply. DON'T USE WITH: AHAs will reduce the efficiency of peptides. Polypeptides can best be understood as "small chemical compounds composed of short-chain amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. Peptides tell your cells to produce more collagen: one of the major building blocks of the skin. So by applying them directly to your skin, you're telling your body it needs to make more collagen. Peptides are essentially fragmented portions of proteins. So when they're used in skincare, the objective is for those fragments of collagen to stimulate collagen growth. Peptides can be included in serums, moisturizers, and masks,They are also included in some topical serums used after micro-needling or superficial laser procedures to increase the penetration of the peptide and help the skin recover from the procedure. When used in cosmetic skin products, peptides fall into three main categories: signal peptides, carrier peptides, and those that inhibit nerve signals. By acting as messengers, signal peptides can trigger collagen synthesis, which then increases skin firmness. BUT....... There just has not been significant scientific data on peptides for anti-aging, and they may not be as effective as the tried-and-true retinoids, AHAs, and antioxidants. Plus, the word 'peptide' can be used generically to describe any short chain of amino acids, so that term can easily be used for marketing even if the product does not contain a known active ingredient. Not to say that it’s not an ingredient that could have some benefits so it’s always worth a try! Here are some of the best products with polypeptides if you want to give it a go. HydroPeptide - Face Lift Moisturizer (grading on reviews I’ve seen) The Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA I personally use this and have seen results!! See my previous review. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream (rating based on reviews I’ve seen) A lot of people love this but personally I’d rather use the Ordinary Martrixyl. PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster (ratings based on reviews I’ve seen) Do you use peptides? What are your thoughts on them? 🤔

Be Careful When Using Retinol🧏🏻‍♀️
Two of the most powerful whitening anti-aging ingredients on the planet are hydroquinones and retinoids. Unfortunately, both ingredients are medicinal and are usually prescribed by doctors when patient have skin problems. For Healthy skin usually doesn't need such drastic ingredient. As A result, skincare products often use hydroquinone and retinoic acid substitutes, which are less aggressive and have fewer side effects, but can be effective -- truly "safe" and "effective". In general, arbutin is used as a substitute of hydroquinone. Retinol (also known as retinol, A alcohol) use as a substitute of Vitamin A acid. I started to use add retinols into my skincare routine 2 years ago after been introduced with all the benefits of retinol. My mistake is just starting with 2% retinol on a daily basis. And I have those peeling all over my face. The benefits of retinol can be proved in acne treatment acne. Retinol in skincare would work to open up clogged pores and allow the acne drug substance to soak into the skin better, killing bacteria. In addition, retinol helps reduce facial oil production and prevent skin inflammation. Although it has many benefits, retinol can also cause side effects: Dry and irritated skin Changes in skin color The skin is sensitive to sunlight Red, swollen, hard, or blistered skin For beginners, it is really important to build up tolerance. It is recommended to starting with low concentration 0.5% once or 2 times a week. Then if your skin is okay with this concentration and frequency for a month, you can increase to 2% and 3-4 times a week. Avoid sunlight when using retinol cream, especially at 10 am and 2 pm. If you want to leave the house and be exposed to the sun, use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or higher. Don't forget to also use moisturizers to prevent dry skin, which can inhibit the work of retinol. These two are retinol product that are very gentle and friendly to beginners. Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol L'ORÉAL - Revitalift Derm Intensives Night Serum With 0.3% Pure Retinol

My Thoughts on LUXURY SKINCARE 💸✨ Worth it? p.1
First of all skincare that’s a luxury to me may not be a luxury to you. I honestly think that it’s not the product brand or claims that make it a luxury, but the science, thought and ingredients behind it. We all have our own budgets and limits on how much we’re willing to spend so with everything I say on this subject, take it with a grain of salt! Skin Ceuticals. This is probably my favorite skincare brand- there’s so much research and science behind each product. My favorites include: - SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel a super lightweight, but extremely hydrating and skin-plumping serum full of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin B5 - SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum a potent anti-oxidant serum with Vitamins C & E, Ferulic Acid & L-Ascorbic Acid to help treat hyper-pigmentation and brighten the skin - SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 a low percentage retinol for speeding up cell turnover without any irritation or overly drying the skin - SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 a super thin serum formula with high SPF to protect your skin from the sun - no white cast! Drunk Elephant. Their products are expensive and get hyped up A LOT (which sometimes makes me not want to try them?), but I like that their products are usually centered around one main ingredient. I’ve tried: - DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum which is a nice glycolic serum that helps to smooth and exfoliate the skin but I’ve tried other glycolic products like ALPHA-H - Micro Super Scrub with 12% Glycolic Acid which I find more effective! - DRUNK ELEPHANT - D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops just a bronze-colored serum but I don’t find anything too special about it or its ingredients. I fell for the “anti-pollution” claim- never again! Fresh. I love some and don’t love some. I like their whole “natural” approach but I find some of their formulas not effective on my skin at all. - fresh - Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence I LOVE this facial treatment. I use it as an essence, as it contains Lactic Acid, to help gently brighten & smooth the skin. - fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer This is super moisturizing night cream that really plumps up my skin overnight so I wake up to glowy, bouncy skin! - fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner This is so disappointing compared to their Black Tea Facial Treatment. It does nothing to hydrate- just feels like overpriced rose water. - fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer I think the rose in the formula irritates my skin and turns it a little pink. I’ve just been using it as a body cream so I it doesn’t go to waste! Elemis- check out part 2!

Inspired by Caroline Hirons
Happy New Year! In December I read Caroline Hiron’s book “Skincare a No NonSense Guide”. See earlier post for a review (I definitely recommend the read!). In her book she lays out the basics for creating a skincare routine. I am 35 with dry, normal skin. My concerns are preventing fine lines & wrinkles, dullness, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation. Here’s her basics for an AM Routine: 1. Cleanse A recent trend has been that you don’t need to wash your face in the morning. Instead you should look for a gentle cleanser. She also suggests staying away from foaming cleanser (these contain Sulfates) CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap I bought this Jumbo Clinique Facial Soap on sale in the summer and I’m still slowly working through it. It is gentle. However, after starting my clean skincare journey I found it has sulfates (second ingredient), TEA, and PEGs. I will swap for a “clean” soap when I finish it. (See my clean skincare posts for more info) 2. Exfoliate Caroline recommends using toners to exfoliate. Buy two acids a gentler and a stronger and rotate them. I’ve learned I like serums better for exfoliating, but I have started rotating two Pixi toners (see post for longer review) pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic 3. Spray Mist She suggests to look for a mist with glyercin or hyalonic acid or rose water. Or use a hydrating toner I’ve been using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for this step. A very affordable hyaluronic acid that won an Allure Beauty Award. Do you use a facial mist? What do you recommend? 4. Eye cream Many people say eye cream should be after serums & moisturizer, but says it should be first to act as a barrier for the eye area. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG See my previous post for full review. I’ve been using this to target my dark circles, but haven’t noticed much difference. 5. Serums / oils This step is where you should target your concerns (i.e., hyperpigmentation). I love Vitamin C serum for the AM. VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum This is a great drugstore Vitamin C serum. I’ve noticed my skin is brighter and more radiant! See earlier post for more info. 6. Moisturize CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion I got this as a reward from Clinique and really like it for a daytime moisturizer. If you are a fan of their Moisture Surge line you will like this. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated. With this concentrate you use less and it absorbs easily quicker. But from a “clean” beauty perspective it contains dyes. 7. SPF And finally always SPF. ICLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 This is a great BB cream with SPF, light coverage, and moisturizing This routine leaves me feeling great even without putting on anymore make-up

My January 2021 empties
Looks like I emptied many of the cleansing products. Star of the month goes to: Bronze - BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream likely to repurchase when finished other eye cream inventories. This is somewhat rich eye cream and glide on easily. Silver - FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm got silver just because it has attracted everyone’s attention. I still have one big jar to go then will try something else after. Gold - DHC - DHC Lip Cream this is something I can’t live without and will never trade for anything else. Will definitely keep repurchasing!

It’s retinol night! So these products I have grouped together to give me the best results with retinol and prevent any irritation! Background info: I have combination skin that is sometimes dehydrated. My skin is also very tolerant of active ingredients. SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel My go-to Hyaluronic Acid serum! It’s my favorite hydrating product because the Hyaluronic Acid seriously plumps up the skin and brings hydration to the surface of the skin. I apply a few drops of this on my palms and press into the skin. SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum My favorite Vitamin C/antioxidant serum! It brightens the skin, and boosts the performance of my sunscreen so I make sure to incorporate it into my routine every morning! This formula also includes L-ascorbic acid which is a rich antioxidant ingredient that neutralizes free radicals and protects against oxidative stressors, and Ferulic Acid which has similar benefits, enhances antioxidants and stabilizes the Vitamins C & E. SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.5 Retinol Night Cream Retinol! This night cream contains 0.5% pure retinol which helps to promote cell turnover, improves the appearance of lines, wrinkles, discoloration and pores, and reduces breakouts! This particular cream is formulated with a Soothing Complex that calms the skin with Bisabolol and Boswellia Serrata Extract which soothes and comforts the skin. I apply two pea-size amounts on my finger tips, rub them together and press into my skin (focusing on problem areas). VINTNER'S DAUGHTER - Active Botanical Serum This is a powerhouse serum full of botanical oils and extracts that really help the skin. There’s a full list of ingredients on their website but this serum basically heals, balances, fights free-radicals with antioxidants, strengthens with ceramides, nourishes with fatty acids and brightens with vitamins to renew, repair, protect and tone skin. Like what else could I ask for?! I use their push/press method to apply! PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster When my skin needs an additional boost I like to mix a tiny bit of this booster into my moisturizer (the next step). Azelaic Acid is amazing for gently exfoliating the skin, unclogging pores and refining skin’s surface. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi To lock in all the active ingredients in my toners and serums, I love this cream from Youth To The People because it feels thick and nourishing. The key ingredients in this cream include Squalane, Ashwagandha, and Fermented Reishi which together helps boost skin hydration, minimizes risk of clogged pores, reduces visible signs of fatigue and detoxifies and combats signs of aging.

A wonderful vegan/cruelty free youth serum!
A wonderful vegan/cruelty free youth serum!
I’m making a revised review of this serum because I’ve realized it’s actually one of the best products I’ve ever used, and here’s why. This serum can either be your favorite beauty product or something that confuses you. So I’ll explain how to use it properly and why it is so great. The vitamin C derivative is Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a water soluble and stable form of vitamin C. This makes it safe for use in clear glass containers. So if you’re worried about oxidation, this one should not oxidize like the notoriously unstable l-ascorbic acid. The first ingredient is water, followed by citric acid, lactic acid and malic acid. The exfoliation quality of this serum is very gentle yet effective for brightening the complexion. Many vitamin C serums are highly irritating and irritating products are not going to help your skin, there is no point in continuing use of a product that leaves you bright red and irritated constantly. This also has panthenol, two types of Hyaluronic acid and aloe Vera to hydrate the skin deeply. Peptides in the formula help to train skin cells to act younger, rebuild collagen and firm up the skin. And I have noticed that effect, my skin feels firmer. Antioxidant rich green tea, kale and spinach provide protection against free radical damage, making this perfect for use in the daytime under SPF. So, on to how to use this. Do not apply it to dry skin or it will feel sticky. Apply this to damp skin after cleansing, or after misting your skin with something water based like the Evian Mineral Water Facial Mist. This helps it to sink in deeply and also prevents the Hyaluronic acid from pulling water out of your skin. Trust me, this keeps the serum from feeling tacky. The feeling of this serum is wonderful, it feels refreshing and comforting. It spreads nicely since the consistency is very thin. I use 1 and a half pumps on my wet face and pat it in and I also get my neck and backs of my hands. This doesn’t cause any pilling/dry skin patches; it just leaves me feeling so hydrated and ready for the day. This serum is incredible. It’s perfect for people with sensitive skin who want a vegan/cruelty free/silicone free serum that will hydrate, anti age and brighten the skin and protect against free radical damage. I give it 10/10 and I would repurchase, given the price is actually not terrible in comparison to so many other vitamin C serums. A little goes a long way and I enjoy using this daily! Skincare Line-up: Combo Skin Nighttime🌜(simple)
When my skin is already looking and feeling pretty good, I like to simplify my routine a little just to not over compromise my skin barrier. This routine really helps me nourish, treat and target any skin issues without layering too many products. Background info: My skin is combination and acne-prone. It’s also pretty tough so I don’t get irritation from “harsher” actives and ingredients! SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.5 Retinol Night Cream Retinol! I apply two pea-size amounts on my finger tips, rub them together and press into my skin (focusing on problem areas). THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Eye cream is one of those things that I have a love/hate relationship with. It’s undecided if I really see a difference as technically my serums and moisturizers should do the same thing- but I recently started using this one from the Inkey List that has brightening properties. I haven’t seen much brightening yet but it has a very lightweight, hydrating formula that I like. THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil Rosehip Oil is one of the most nourishing antioxidant oils. This 100% pure rosehip oil helps to promote softer, smoother skin and the fatty acids help to nourish. I use this as my last step to seal in all my products because it’s so emollient. It always leaves my skin GLOWING✨

My Biossance Faves!!
My Biossance Faves!!
Hey Babes!! 👋 Have you feel in love with Biossance like I have?!? As a Licensed Esthetician, I appreiciate that their products are nontoxic, effective and they are free from over 2,00 chemicals!! 🌱 I use two of their products: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum This serum is awesome!! They use bakuchiol, a plant similar retinol minus the irritaiton!! Bakuchiol boosts collagen and elastin production. This helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and exfoliates the skin mimizing dark spots and scarring. I like to use the serum at night when my skin can regenerate and love how lightweight it is for fast absorption. It goes on very smooth with no irritation. This also has Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid to bring moisture to the skin! The product is pricey retailing at $72 for 1 Fl Oz Bottle, but it;s worth the price tag for clean beauty! The next product is great for oily and acne skin: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil This oil is such a life saver for oily and acneic skin!! It really helps control and balance oil production thank to tea tree, grouncherry, squalane and rosemary extracts! Tea tree is antibacterial and antiinflammatory making it the superstar ingredient in this oil! The tea tree smell is very light and non irritating. I use this in the evening after applying my moisturizer and when I wake up, my skin is crazy baby soft WITHOUT looking oily!! A little goes a long way too, so the product lasts longer. This oil retails for $49 in a 1 Fl Oz Bottle. xoxo, Blyssey #Cheriecreator #biossance

🚫 DO NOT MIX 🚫
🚫 DO NOT MIX 🚫
Retinol, vitamin C, chemical exfoliants. All amazing products that deliver great results! So you might be asking “what if I mix this with that and get the smooth, radiant skin I long for?” But let me tell ya, mixing these potent ingredients is a recipe for disaster! They play great with others (i.e. vitamin C and vitamin E or retinol and hyaluronic acid), but shouldn’t be used together for a couple of reasons. Vitamin C products have a very specific pH which allows them to work best, using a vitamin C based product with acidic ingredients like glycolic acid can alter its pH which can reduce the effectiveness of your products. Now mixing retinol and vitamin C or glycolic acid is just a big NO for me. These combo can lead to irritation, sensitivity, dryness and even flakiness. These three are amazing on their own or with complimentary products like I mentioned before ✨

SKINCARE LINE-UP: BAD SKIN DAYS
SKINCARE LINE-UP: BAD SKIN DAYS
This is my go-to skin routine on mornings when I wake up to “blah” skin; maybe I have a few breakouts, skin’s looking a bit dull, or I just need a “feel-good” routine to make me feel better about my skin. Background info: I have combination skin that is sometimes dehydrated. My skin is also very tolerant of active ingredients. THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid This BHA from TheInkeyList has 2% Salicylic Acid which really helps to exfoliate the skin and unclog pores (which then reduces blemishes!) It also has Zinc (to control oil production) and Hyaluronic Acid (to hydrate and plump skin)! I apply it by putting two drops on my palms and pressing it into the skin. ALPHA-H - Vitamin B Serum With Niacinamide This is a cocktail of amazing ingredients like Niacinamide to improve skin texture, Copper peptides to rejuvenate skin cells and boost collagen and elastin production, and Chia Seeds which are rich in Omega-3, fatty acids and antioxidants to plump and hydrate skin. I also apply a few drops to my palm and press into my skin. ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 This is my secret weapon when it comes to bad skin days. This lightweight serum can be applied on its own or as the last step in your skincare routine! It’s lightweight, tinted and evens out skintone. This also contains Squalane, Zinc Oxide (a physical sunscreen), Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide (all the ingredients I love!). It offers great sunscreen coverage, just make sure to apply enough or as I sometimes like to add this on top of my regular sunscreen for extra protection and a skin tint! I work really quickly with this product to prevent pilling so I use half a dropper of this product, rub quickly between my palms and apply to the face. This routine gives me a GLOW for when days I’m not looking my best!
