Happy New Year! In December I read Caroline Hiron’s book “Skincare a No NonSense Guide”. See earlier post for a review (I definitely recommend the read!). In her book she lays out the basics for creating a skincare routine. I am 35 with dry, normal skin. My concerns are preventing fine lines & wrinkles, dullness, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation. Here’s her basics for an AM Routine: 1. Cleanse A recent trend has been that you don’t need to wash your face in the morning. Instead you should look for a gentle cleanser. She also suggests staying away from foaming cleanser (these contain Sulfates) CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap
I bought this Jumbo Clinique Facial Soap on sale in the summer and I’m still slowly working through it. It is gentle. However, after starting my clean skincare journey I found it has sulfates (second ingredient), TEA, and PEGs. I will swap for a “clean” soap when I finish it. (See my clean skincare posts for more info) 2. Exfoliate Caroline recommends using toners to exfoliate. Buy two acids a gentler and a stronger and rotate them. I’ve learned I like serums better for exfoliating, but I have started rotating two Pixi toners (see post for longer review) pixi - Glow Tonic
pixi - Milky Tonic
3. Spray Mist She suggests to look for a mist with glyercin or hyalonic acid or rose water. Or use a hydrating toner I’ve been using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
for this step. A very affordable hyaluronic acid that won an Allure Beauty Award. Do you use a facial mist? What do you recommend? 4. Eye cream Many people say eye cream should be after serums & moisturizer, but says it should be first to act as a barrier for the eye area. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
See my previous post for full review. I’ve been using this to target my dark circles, but haven’t noticed much difference. 5. Serums / oils This step is where you should target your concerns (i.e., hyperpigmentation). I love Vitamin C serum for the AM. VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum
This is a great drugstore Vitamin C serum. I’ve noticed my skin is brighter and more radiant! See earlier post for more info. 6. Moisturize CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion
I got this as a reward from Clinique and really like it for a daytime moisturizer. If you are a fan of their Moisture Surge line you will like this. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated. With this concentrate you use less and it absorbs easily quicker. But from a “clean” beauty perspective it contains dyes. 7. SPF And finally always SPF. ICLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25
This is a great BB cream with SPF, light coverage, and moisturizing This routine leaves me feeling great even without putting on anymore make-up

beautiewithjenAs for a mist, I like Youth to the People’s or Indie Lee’s. Both are great hydrating options.

Day 4 of Beauty - Clinique Facial Soap 🧼
Today in my Macy’s 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar I was pleased to find a mini size of Clinique’s Liquid Facial Soap for Oily Skin. I’ve used this in the past and found it really great for my combination skin. It’s refreshing. It feels great and light on my skin without drying it out. These days I use a double cleanse, but this will be perfect for traveling! CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap

THROWBACK - My First High End Skincare Product
I have been using this product for 6+ years! I was gifted the Clinique 3 step system when I was in high school and stuck with it until I broke out on my own skincare journey a little over a year ago. This product has seen me through my worst acne and my clearest skin 🌷 For young skin this is a great product! I think if you’re beginning to improve your skin care routine this is a great entry level product where you can pick a formula that suits your skin type. For older skin with more complex needs I would not recommend this product, as it’s pretty basic for an expensive cleanser. My main concern was that for my dry skin type this product did leave my skin feeling dry and tight, even though I was using the formula made specifically for dry skin. I know that Clinique does include alcohols in a lot of their skincare, so this might be why? 🤬 I guess this is why they made their moisturizer so luxurious.. but anyways it was a great product for that time in my life. Will I repurchase - Not anytime soon. As my skin needs begin to change I think I will need to use different products with better active ingredients for my current skin concerns.

Updated Night Routine!
I had a lot of empties in January, so here is my updated night routine! I have a post detailing actives that I use and my schedule around those actives, so they won’t be included in this post. My first step is my double-cleansing step, I use the Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser (📍)to remove SPF and makeup, which I really love, it’s very unique, but it doesn’t break me out at all. Then I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser (📍) to cleanse a second time, I really enjoy this too, my skin tends to freak out when it comes to Laneige’s fragrance, but this is fragrance-free!! After cleansing I steam my face with the Dr Dennis Gross - Pro Facial Steamer which I feel like has really helped the hydration levels of my skin. After that I’ll apply the TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener (📍)which I also like, but I’m not sure how much it’s really done for my skin for what it’s worth. I’ll steam again, for about 30 seconds and then go into my PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum which is the only serum that can truly repair my moisture barrier when I’m breaking out. Then my eye product is The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (📍)which I’ve been loving a lot too! My current winter moisturizer is the Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream which again, I like, but it feels like it puts a barrier on my skin, which kind of felt weird to begin with. After moisturizer, my last two steps are to treat any breakouts or spots with the Murad - Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment and use something to lock it all in like the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil it does the job, but smells super weird. The only way I’ve been able to describe it is, picture the olive bar at a local grocery store, and the smell that comes from that. Not super pleasant, but it’s okay. 📍= product was sent to me for free

These are my ride or die
So, I have an autoimmune disease and I tend to have lots of inflammation. That being said, when I wake up puffy like a blow fish 🐠.... these are my life savers ! The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this little baby packs a punch! De-puffs and gives my eyes a wake up call!! It is unique in that it is not a cream. At first I wasn’t sure, but I’m hooked. One drop on each eye does the trick. Easy to apply, smooth and silky! Wake up those peepers with this little bottle of magic 🪄!! mizz bloom - JADE ROLLER this is my go to in morning to drain my lymphatic system. I keep mine in my skin fridge, so it is nice and cold! Add my serums and then have a nice little roll! De puffs my face and helps with contouring. T

my progress in the span of 3 years
This is my first post pls be gentle I am soff My experience and exposure to skincare was...odd growing up. I came from a poor family and was constantly switching between households. Consistent skincare routines did not exist for me, if we could afford it at all. I also had no idea what was going on with my face or why, just that I was being mocked and berated for it as though it was some sort of lack of hygeine or moral failing on my part. About 3 years ago, I started using a consistent skincare routine with more than just a face wash in the shower. Granted, it was whatever the cheapest face wash I could find at Safeway that week (likely biore or st. ives) and argan oil that I found at Marshall's. I had no idea what ingredients to look for or even what my skin type was. That first pic STILL marked a huge improvement for me and kicked off my desire to learn more to finally rectify this issue that had plagued me for more than a decade. The 2nd pic is from a few months ago. I kinda think I peaked there. I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser in the shower. I have oily, sensitive skin (thanks eczema) and it's very gentle, not irritating in the slightest. However, it feels like all it does is clean my face. No real benefit apart from that. I was using pixi - Glow Tonic as a toner which I loved and gave me great results but rent is literally over half my monthly income and that doesn't touch all the other bills I have and at anywhere from $18-$24 a bottle? Well... I'd rather eat tbh. I also got over the "oily skin don't need moisturize hurr durr" mentality and began to use (still do, this jar has lasted me since like July) AVALON ORGANICS - Intense Defense, With Vitamin C, Oil-Free Moisturizer . Works fine, nice and light, absorbs pretty quickly, and I like the smell. I'd like something that qualifies as a night mask instead tho, just because my entire routine is done exclusively at night with extra moisturizer or treatments as necessary. 3rd pic is from about a month ago. I've changed up the roster a few times. I'm really feeling FORMULA 10.0.6 - One Deep Attraction Daily Foaming Face Wash as I used it years ago, liked it then for the suds and the actives, but haven't gotten much in the way of results. I might try the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Three Times Sublime 3-in-1 Blackhead Wash + Scrub + Maskand FORMULA 10.0.6 - P.M. Perfectorinstead of the moisturizer I use as mentioned above. I'm also alternating between Cos De BAHA - BHA Salicylic Acid 2% Exfoliant Liquid 4oz with Niacinamide Acne Spot Treatment + Redness Relief + Pore Minimizer + Pore Cleaner and The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% . The serum makes my skin incredibly soft and the suspension helps a bunch with oil control. If y'all have any comments, questions, or suggestions regarding my routine, I'd love to hear what y'all have to say!

How I Built an Entire Routine for Under $150
For a long time I was intimated by skincare because it seemed very expensive and overwhelming. How do I know what to buy 🤷🏻‍♀️ When I started noticing wrinkles that was enough of a push for me to invest in skincare. Here’s some great lessons I’ve learned to build your skincare routine affordably: 1. Research to figure out what you need- here’s where my love of @cheriestarted! I read lots of reviews, advice, so I knew what type of products I should buy and what ingredients I should focus on. 2. Keep it Simple It’s easy to want to buy new products, adding new steps or ingredients to your routine, or try out the hype after reading reviews! Focus on your concerns and add slowly to give your skin time to adjust and see what’s working. It’s better to have a few great products that you love than many products you don’t use. I started with: Cleanse AM antioxidant serum, PM anti-aging serum Moisturizer Sunscreen Toners, eye cream, facial oil, and masks can be extras if you are looking to save money 3. Spend your money on the middle - if you can only splurge on one product make it the serum! This has the most benefit. Drugstore cleansers, moisturizers, and spf are great! 4. Try some great affordable brands such as The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Versed, or CeraVe 5. Buy trial size first, Value Sets or better free rewards before investing in a new product 6. Once you’ve found your Holy Grails keep your eyes open for sales to stock up, join the brands mailing list or reward program, buy value size Here’s my current skincare line-up and how much it cost me: CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild Use AM & PM Bought on sale for $27 for 13.5oz CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Use PM Free from Clinique rewards pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic Rotate PM Bought multi-pack on sale for $22 OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème Use AM and / or PM Bought on sale $25 The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Use AM $6.80 VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Use AM $26.99 OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides Use PM Bought on sale for $32 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum Use PM 1-2 times per week Free from Sephora Rewards Bazaar CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator Use AM & PM Free gift with purchase from Clinique CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer Use PM when not using lactic acid Free offer with purchase from Sephora The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Use PM $9.90 (Not pictured) currently using my kids Banana Boat Kids Simply Protect SPF 50 as my sunscreen

When hydration is needed 💦
I am a dry skinned girl so I am always on the look out for hydrators and moisturizers. This is especially the case as I like to use actives in my routine and they can further dry out my skin. Hyaluronic acid is one of my go to ingredients as it draws moisture into my skin and it works well with other ingredients. The ordinary offers this serum which is great as it is super affordable and it works well with my skin. What is it: This is a hyaluronic acid serum with 3 different weighted molecules so that it can penetrate and hydrate different layers if the skin. Hyaluronic acids is a humectant meaning it absorbs moisture from the air and draws it into the skin. This serum also has b5 which helps nourish and soften the skin. Texture: This is a goopy and cloudy serum that is easily absorbed into my dry skin. Price: This sells at Sephora for $6.80 cad for 1 oz or $12.20 cad for 2oz How I use this: I use this along with my steamer to make sure that the air is moisture rich in order to draw moisture to my skin. This ensures I get the best result. Pros 👍: affordable 2 sizes available accessible effective cruelty free 🐰 Cons 👎: some people don’t like the texture you shouldn’t over use hyaluronic acid (check other products) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this is a super simple serum that has really helped my dry skin

1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

This or That? Which toner wins my heart…
A great toner is always important for an effective skincare routine. I’ve tried lots of toners these years and today I would like to introduce two of them for you, one is my recent fav and one is my always repurchase. Before starting to recommend my toners, I want to make it clear that my skin type is combination around the whole year and my major skin concern is severe dryness and skin sensitive, which leads to redness recently.  CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion This toner is my new fav babie these days. The formulation is a little thick, so I think describing it as lotion is more specific. It’s very lightweight, I usually drop some of this lotion to cotton pads and smear it around the face. It could be absorbed by skin easily and rapidly. You will not feel any thickness after using it. It has good fragrance which would put you in a good mood. It has sucrose and caffeine, my skin always feel much more calming and soothing after applying it. It can draw enough moisture into my skin to plump the look of dryness for a smoother appearance. Also, it’s a good prep for serums and moisturizers. After use, skin is left dewy-fresh, glowing and hydrated. I’ve been using this lotion for four months and this has been the second bottle, it only cost $35 for 200 mL.  LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner This toner could be Lancôme’s best-seller, I think. It owns more than 40k loves on sephora. I’ve been using this toner for more than three years. Every time I’ve no idea which toner to pick, it always comes in my sight. It’s a lightweight pink formulated toner which is very soothing and moisturizing. It could gently cleanse and hydrate my dry skin for a smooth and glowing appearance. I love the lightweight liquid formulation, which always be absorbed by my skin quickly. The texture is a little like serum. I can feel my skin softer and visibly glowing after using it. I also apply it on my neck. The price is also friendly, $31 for 200 mL and $54 for 400 mL. You can give it a try if you’re searching for a hydrated toner. Do you have your fav toner? Just comment below and give your opinions!

Reflecting on 2020
2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum(haven’t started using) OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser 3. Best Look My best book would have to be my everyday 5 minute natural make-up look (see earlier post). Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse 4. Favourite Creator on Cherie I might be biased because I won a great giveaway from her, but I really love following @JadesJourney I really enjoy her intersection between skincare and wellness. Check her out! 5. Something I learned The biggest thing I learned this year is not only can I find the time everyday to take care of my skin but that I look forward to it! Happy New Year!

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Make-up Bag
If you’ve been following me, I’ve done two posts on clean skincare and ingredients to avoid. I started looking at my current skincare line-up to see if the “dirty dozen” chemicals were in my products. Surprise, almost every product had something. Now I’m going to take a look at my make-up bag. I don’t wear a lot of make-up, so my make-up bag is pretty minimalistic. Dirty Dozen: 1. DEA / MEA / TEA 2. Coal Tar Dyes 3. Phthalates/ Perfume / Fragrance 4. Sulfates 5. PEGs 6. Formaldehyde releasing preservatives 7. Hydroquinone 8. Parabens 9. Petrolatum/ Paraffin 10. Siloxanes 11. Talc 12. Triclosan CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 ❌ contains PEGs SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer ❌ contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm ❌ contains coal tar dyes SEPHORA COLLECTION - #Eyestories Eyeshadow Palette ❌ contains talc Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek ✅ clean CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara ❌ contains PEGs ❌ contains coal tar dyes CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Lip Hydro-Plump Treatment ❌ contains Petrolatum ❌ contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Quickliner for Eyes Intense ❌ contains coal tar dyes smashbox - Photo Matte Eyes Palette ❌ contains coal tar dyes This makes me want to buy clean cosmetics! What’s in your make-up?

Ingredients to Build your Routine Around
I am 35 years old with two kids. I have dry / normal skin. My top concerns are fine lines & wrinkles, preventing aging, dullness, and dark circles. When I started my skincare routine, all I knew was that I started to notice fine lines & wrinkles and wanted to buy new products for “anti-aging”. After a lot of research, here are my Top 5 Ingredients with proven benefits for 30s Skin: 1. Retinol Retinol is a powerhouse for wrinkles. It is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It alters the behaviour of aged skin cells. It smooths skin texture, enhances radiance and treats aging. Retinol can be irritating to skin, so build up your tolerance gradually starting with a lower percentage and only 1-2 days per week. DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil If you need an alternative to retinol because you have sensitive skin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, bakuchiol is a good plant-based all natural alternative to retinol or rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 2. Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, irregular pigmentation, and promotes healthier collagen production. It neutralizes free radical damage and great for AM routine. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Duo SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum 3. Exfoliate / AHAs Exfoliation is about boosting cell turnover. You should do it twice a week. Use different acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Build up a tolerance. You can use toners, serums, or creams. Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum 4. Peptides Peptides preserve and boost collagen production. Peptides are short chain amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins such as collagen. It improves the appearance of firmness and wrinkles. Extensive research supports that peptides improve skin function and appearance. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster 5. Hydration In your 30s your skin tends to get dehydrated. Hydration will plump up skin. Add a hydrating toner, facial spray, hyaluronic acid serum. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 **BONUS** SPF Never forget you sunscreen ☀️

Overhyped - Pixi Glow Tonic
Overhyped - Pixi Glow Tonic
I saw so many raving reviews about this toner, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately for me, I saw no difference in my skin at all :( Even after continued use, I notice no difference. Nothing is wrong with it, it just doesn’t do anything noticeable for my skin. But I’ll also say that my skin is fairly durable (?) so I don’t tend to see changes from most things! It may be great for skin that is more receptive! I’m giving it 3/5 stars since it still hydrates my skin and seems to work as good as any regular toner. I’ll finish it, but won’t be repurchasing.

Toner for dry skin - pixi glow tonic
If you have dry skin, this toner is perfect for you! It’s a gentle, non drying tonic that can be used daily. It gentle exfoliates the skin to reveal brighter, smoother complexion. It delivers great on the promises, and just after couple of uses I could see small changes in my skin. It’s gentle enough to be used daily, but if you’re not sure if your skin can handle it, totally start off with every other day, or even every few days. I have dry skin, and this toner never dried my skin out. It always left it feeling normal, not tight or dry. It’s also super affordable, which is amazing! pixi - Glow Tonic

1. THE INKEY LIST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM I love this product! It may or may not be replacing my holy grail some by mi aha-bha-pha serum😬. I actually just bought this product around 3/4 days ago and I can already notice a difference. Like all hyaluronic acid products, this is on the watery side. It’s fast absorbing and does a really good job of hydrating the skin without being sticky. I’d definitely recommend this product to everyone regardless of your skin type. 2. THE INKEY LIST Q10 SERUM One of my favorite products from the inkey list. I can apply this everyday without it clashing with my other serum ingredients. As someone with dry to normal skin, this adds a nice layer of hydration before my moisturizer. It’s non-sticky and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I’ve been using this product in the evenings for the last 3 months. It almost has the consistency of a light-weight lotion. I would without a doubt recommend this product. Q10 is such a great ingredient that everyone can benefit from. 3. THE INKEY LIST GLYCOLIC ACID EXFOLIATING TONER THE PRICE SAYS IT ALL. This is a light-weight liquid that you can either apply straight to your face or with a cotton pad. To avoid creating more waste I personally take a cotton pad and cut it in half. I use this product in the evenings to avoid my skin from becoming overly sensitized. I love using it since it exfoliates my skin while I’m sleeping, it’s worth it because it saves time, all you have to do is put it on and just let it do it’s thing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is concerned about dark spots, uneven texture, and fine lines & wrinkles. 4. MILK MAKEUP VEGAN MILK MOISTURIZER I’m obsessed with this product. I have repurchased this product a total of 4 times and I really enjoy using it. I use this as my night time moisturizer which is what I find best for my skin type because it does have a thick consistency. Totally recommend this product to anyone who has more of a dry skin type.

Hydrating PM Routine
Hydrating PM Routine
I don’t always use the same products since I have so many; I like to change things up. Tonight I was going for more of a hydrating routine. Step 1: I cleansed my face with the FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser This cleanser is, as the name suggests, ultra gentle and soothing. I apply this to wet skin and massage it in, ensuring I get the dirt and oil, etc. from the day off. Rinse with warm water and you’re good to go. This smells great and I’m obsessed with honey and bees so this is heaven for me. Step 2: I don’t always use a toner but tonight I felt like it. I used an old faithful: REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner I love this toner because it smells amazing and it gets rid of anything I may have missed while cleansing. I like using a toner when I feel like I need to exfoliate and help out my pores. I love the glow this toner gives my skin. Step 3: I can’t remember the last time I skipped out on using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this every day, twice a day. AM and PM. I cannot get enough of this. I rarely have dry skin anymore because of this product. It keeps my skin so hydrated. Step 4: My other love is the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I love the Inkey List niacinamide as well, but I felt like I should pair TO with TO. Like I said above with toning, I like to keep my pores in check and this is wonderful for doing so. It decreases their appearance and if I have a spot this clears it up so quickly! Step 5: In keeping with wanting my skin to feel extra hydrated, I went with the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil This light-weight oil is super hydrating. It’s also a great alternative to a moisturizer but is also great to mix with a moisturizer. Whenever I use this in the PM, I wake up and my skin looks really glowy and I’m all about that. Step 6: Hydrate and moisturize your under eyes if you feel like they’re looking a little dry or dull. I love love love this eye cream: OLAY - Eyes Brightening Eye Cream It smells nice and fresh, has brightening effects, and is super moisturizing. Whenever I want to add that extra moisture under my eyes this is what I reach for. Step 7: I sometimes mix the Rose Hip Seed Oil with the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA but tonight I decided to use these separately. I adore this moisturizer because it’s really hydrating and gentle. It’s not greasy and it doesn’t clog my pores. I don’t always use a moisturizer after using Rose Hip Seed Oil but because I wanted to really moisturize my skin, I added this. Step 8: I like to add a lip scrub on occasion and I love this honey flavoured one :) It smells great and it makes your lips feel hydrated and so soft SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Balm & Scrub

Affordable&Amazing! Pixi Saved My Skin!!!😘😘😘
Sudden changes in the environment and irregular wore and rest are most likely to cause skin problems. I have been looking for a set of products that can help reduce dullness and breakouts and keep my skin in the best condition. Finally I found Pixi, which products are really suitable for dry skin. I would def recommend it to you if  calm and radiant skin that glows sans layers of highlighters is at the top of your agenda. pixi - Glow Tonic It features 5% glycolic acid which exfoliates and brightens skin, and is paired with ginseng which acts as an anti-oxidant, and finally aloe vera as well as other natural plant extracts which soothe and moisturize skin. People with dry skin may feel a warming sensation when trying it for the first few times, but as a 5% concentration glycolic acid product, it's considered quite gentle. I normally use it for double cleansing. It has a light and fresh plant scent with refreshing texture. It's also very moisturizing, credited to its aloe vera and fructose ingredients. It doesn't leave your skin tightened, allowing easy follow-up application of serum and cream. You can consider this tonic if you're looking to exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin as well as reduce bumps in a short period of time while taking into account your skin tolerance. You must wear sunscreen during the day when you're using fruit acid skincare products. pixi - DetoxifEYE The ingredients include caffeine that reduces swelling and acts as an anti-oxidant, and cucumber that moisturizes and soothes the skin. There are 30 pairs of eye patches in a box for daily use. They look like jelly and have a green, gel-like texture which is gentle and not irritating. They're cooling when applied under the eyes and stick snuggly to the skin. A 10-minute application is enough to see great results, such as instantly reducing puffy eyes and brightening dull skin. pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist Its featured ingredients include hyaluronic acid for hydration, oatmeal extract, and vitamin B complex for calming and soothing skin. It focuses on moisturizing and soothing, and it's not at all second to La Mer. The amount of delicate mist sprayed is enough for the entire face, and the mist won't leave you with sticky skin. It also provides instant moisturizing, and I usually use it before applying my eye mask, instead of using a moisturizer. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tightened or dry. Besides, the bottle is convenient to carry around. I will repurchase all of these Pixi skincare products. What do you think of either products? Let me know!!!👇

Basic Nighttime Routine for Normal Skin
Basic Nighttime Routine for Normal Skin
How to start a nighttime routine: These are some basic steps you could take when starting a nighttime routine. 1). Cleanser 2). Toner 3). Treatments 4). Eye cream 5). Moisturizer 6). Spot treatment It’s best practice to layer your products from lightest to heaviest/richest. I used the Marcelle micellar water to remove my makeup, then I followed with the Farmacy clean bee gentle cleanser. Next, depending on what your skin needs, this is where you apply your treatments; these can include hydrating serums, retinols, oils, peels, etc. I used TO‘s hyaluronic acid serum and then the TO’s cold pressed rosehip seed oil. It’s best to use water-based before oil-based. Then I will apply my eye cream and then my moisturizer. Lastly, you need to use a spot treatment, this is the time to do it. Cleansing your skin can be a great way to unwind at the end of the day. I personally find it really relaxing. I will only tone my face 2-3 x a week to detox/balance my skin, which I skipped tonight as I did so the previous night. Treatment is great to repair and protect your skin. The two I chose were hyaluronic acid to hydrate my skin, and the rosehip seed oil as it is a great antioxidant/fatty acid to promote cell regeneration, etc. And I always use an eye cream and face cream before bed for that extra hydration :) 1). MARCELLE - Micellar Water 2). FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser 3). The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 4). The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 5). FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream 6). Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer
