Reflecting on 2020

PamelaSargent
2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie 2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment
I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum
SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum(haven’t started using) OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser 3. Best Look My best book would have to be my everyday 5 minute natural make-up look (see earlier post). Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25
SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer
Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek
CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara
CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse
4. Favourite Creator on Cherie I might be biased because I won a great giveaway from her, but I really love following @JadesJourney I really enjoy her intersection between skincare and wellness. Check her out! 5. Something I learned The biggest thing I learned this year is not only can I find the time everyday to take care of my skin but that I look forward to it! Happy New Year!

I used the skin ceuticals Vitamin C holy grail
6 months after I started to take better care of my skin. Here’s some pics non filtered of my routine. 1. I purchased the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum the most recommended from dermatologist and was definitely not sure whether to purchase or no because of its price. Thank god I did 🙏 this is really the holy grail. 2. The OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème this eye cream was gifted to me by cousin over a year ago. I love it. It’s absolutely amazing. 3. Last but no least thanks to Cherie for gifting me absolutely the best eye cream ever used Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Highly recommend these products. The most important is being consistent and using them every morning. 😘

eye cream so BRIGHT 🌟🌞⚡️💥
OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème thank you cherie for gifting me my first ever eye cream !! I had heard so much about this product, so I was super excited to try it. the first thing we gotta talk about is the scent. i’m not the biggest fan of fragrance in skin care, but this product is too good that I don’t mind at all ! it smells like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice 🍊 and I love it ! as you can see, the texture of this product is amazing! it has a creamy thick texture that glides on the skin so smoothly. I guess a disclaimer would be that I don’t have dark under eyes, but I do notice a difference when I put this on! it brightens my whole under eye area and makes me look so much more awake! a little goes a really really long way with this product ! even if the tub is a little small, I don’t see it running out any time soon. $39USD for 0.5oz

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Make-up Bag
If you’ve been following me, I’ve done two posts on clean skincare and ingredients to avoid. I started looking at my current skincare line-up to see if the “dirty dozen” chemicals were in my products. Surprise, almost every product had something. Now I’m going to take a look at my make-up bag. I don’t wear a lot of make-up, so my make-up bag is pretty minimalistic. Dirty Dozen: 1. DEA / MEA / TEA 2. Coal Tar Dyes 3. Phthalates/ Perfume / Fragrance 4. Sulfates 5. PEGs 6. Formaldehyde releasing preservatives 7. Hydroquinone 8. Parabens 9. Petrolatum/ Paraffin 10. Siloxanes 11. Talc 12. 5 Minute 5 Product Make-up Routine
With an endless lockdown and having a baby in February I went months without wearing any make-up. It was an easy excuse. Im exhausted and Im not going anywhere, why bother 🤷🏻‍♀️ What I’ve learned is that taking care of my skin and finding a couple extra minutes to myself in the morning to put on some make-up has become my daily self-care. It’s about ME and makes me feel better. Here’s my quick 5 Minute 5 Product morning make-up routine: To start, nothing looks better than glowing skin. Here are a couple products I use as part of my skincare routine but go a long way to making my skin look better are: CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Exfoliating Scrub A gentle daily scrub cream that polishes away dead skin cells for a smooth face SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment Skip a primer and use this treatment! The claim is that it gives you smoother, brighter skin in 3 minutes and let me tell you it’s true!! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil I love this face oil in the morning. I find it instantly brightens my face and gives me a sun kissed look. I use right before my bb cream. And I love the citrus smell as a little extra to perk me up. My Make-Up Routine: SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer 🙋🏻‍♀️Tired mom over here. I need the extra help to cover up my dark circles. It’s lighter coverage than I would want but blends great and feels very light smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35 My multitasker, spf, moisturizer, sheer coverage Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek A little on my cheeks and a little on my lips for a pop of colour and add a little life to my face SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Brow Builder I love that this is super easy to use. Fills in my natural brows for a more finished look. CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara Last step a little mascara. I’ve received these in bonus bags for years. My first retinol - Tretinoin routine
As part of the @cherie and Apostrophe Save My Skin, I got a consult and month of treatment from Apostrophe. My main skin concerns are beginning signs of aging and some dark spots/age spots (hyperpigmentation) that are beginning to appear. A couple of the dark areas on my face are quite pronounced. The Apostrophe process was super simple. Created my account online, answered some questions about my skin concerns, and uploaded some photos of my face and areas of concern, and chose my Dr. All of my information was reviewed by a Dermatologist who suggested a treatment plan to meet my goals. Less than 2 weeks later I had a box at my doorstep! The box from Apostrophe - Topical Formula included my prescription, a sheet detailing my treatment plan, a postcard, and some stickers. Cute. I was prescribed Tretinoin 0.025% + Niacinamide 4%. I’ve been using Niacinamide for about 2 months now, but this is my first prescription retinol experience. I was directed to apply every other night for 2 weeks, if no irritation, move to every night. In order to lessen the chance of irritation I was also directed to use a light moisturizer before and after, use sunscreen daily, avoid eye and mouth area, discontinue use of any acids, and use a moisturizing cleanser as well as a Vitamin C serum each morning. My retinol / Trentinoin daily routine Evening: If I have makeup on I cleanse using BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing or ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm which I also use as a mask of my skin is super irritated. Apply pea size amount of Tretonin + Niacinamide cream over face and half that amount to neck Moisturize with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer Apply BITE - Agave+ Nightime Duo to lips, generic castor oil to brows with a spoolie, and PETER THOMAS ROTH - Lashes to Die for Turbo Nighttime Eyelash Treatment lash serum to my lashes Morning: Cleanse using BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing or ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Apply SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum all over face and neck Use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under eyes Then rose hip oil on areas that feel especially dry or are peel Since it’s only been a couple weeks I will probably end up refining this routine, I’ve noticed dryness mostly around my mouth and nostrils. Highly recommend the Apostrophe process so far! 💙

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Skincare
I want to move towards a clean skincare routine. My current products were not purchased with clean skincare in mind, but I want to know how many of the Dirty Dozen chemicals are in my skincare. See my previous clean skincare posts for more details. Dirty Dozen Chemicals to Avoid: 1. Coal Tar Dyes 2. DEA / MEA / TEA 3. Phthalates / Parfum / fragrence 4. Formaldehyde releasing perservatives 5. Parabens 6. PEG compounds 7. Petrolatum 8. Siloxanes 9. Sulfates 10. Triclosan 11. Talc 12. Hydroquinone A quick summary, almost every product contains PEGs! PEGs (polyethylene glycols) are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. Depending on manufacturing processes, PEGs may be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, known human carcinogens. 1,4-dioxane can be removed from cosmetics during the manufacturing process by vacuum stripping, but there is no easy way for consumers to know whether products containing PEGs have undergone this process. Here’s what’s in my current products: The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ✅ clean The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ✅ clean CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel ❌ contains paraffin ❌contains Petrolatum (Also contains dyes) Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment ✅ clean of dirty dozen SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment ❌ contains PEG-100, PEG-75 CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - All About Eyes ❌contains PEGs ❌contains Petrolatum CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator ❌ contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula ❌contains sulfates ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum ✅ clean from dirty dozen I’m new to reading labels, so if I’ve missed something let me know! The Rewards Keep me Coming Back!
Clinique has been my go to brand since I was a teenager. My mom uses Clinique. It was my first introduction to skincare. Recently I started really researching skincare because I’m in my 30s and I want to make sure I’m using the best products and ingredients to prevent aging. I want to expand my routine beyond Clinique to see what works best for me. But, their Smart Rewards program is really hard to turn down! Here’s a rundown of my new purchases and freebies! If you use Clinique sign up for their Smart Rewards. You’ll get email discounts and gift with purchase offers constantly. A way better deal than Sephora offers. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Purchased for $49 I love using BB creams. / tinted moisturizer. This has nice sheer / light coverage, moisture surge hydrator that I love and spf. Perfect multi-tasker. I also chose it because it does not have oxybenzone, a chemical sunscreen ingredient that I want to avoid since I’m breastfeeding. CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse Purchased $26 Haven’t used yet but I ran out of the SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Brow Builder that I have been using and this seems like a similar product (also I wanted to spend $65 to get a free gift) Gifts / Freebies CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Birthday Gift FULL size 115ml! Value $42 I haven’t tried a cleansing balm yet and I have been looking to switch from alcohol based makeup removers. This has great reviews online. Looking forward to this Birthday Gift! CLINIQUE - Dewy for Days Moisture Surge Set Value $65 includes 3 FULL sized products! This was one of the free bonus gifts to choose from for spending $65. The set includes: CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate 48ml - This is categorized as a moisturizer but it feels like a serum. It’s in a similar bottle to my other Clinique serum. One pump is enough to cover your face. At first it felt tacky on my skin, but absorbed after 10mins and left my skin feeling hydrated. I’m not sure how to use this differently than their Moisture Surge gel. Add it to my routine in place of a moisturizer or add it in as an extra hydration serum 🤷🏻‍♀️ CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator 50ml - I love this moisturizer! Great for winter. Really leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated. I’ll never buy the Dramatically Different Lotion again! CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Eye 96-Hour Hydro-Filler Concentrate 15ml - I haven’t tried this yet. It has okay reviews online. I’ll review later. So, for spending $75 I got an extra $100 in free product!!

Another Marshall’s Haul
Before the snow hit in the north east, I had to hit up Marshall’s so I had some new products to play with. This shopping trip I found makeup products from Becca and Milk to try out. As with any trip to Marshall’s it’s hit or miss with products and shade ranges, so I know this foundation is a bit too light, but the undertone was right. There were also a few other things I wanted, but their packaging was open and the products were clearly touched. So let’s dive in to what I used for this look (3rd pic, I don’t use any filters/beauty mode). Milk MAKEUP - Blur Stick I like the powdery finish it leaves on my skin. I’ll have to use it a few more times before I decide how much I like it. BECCA - Ultimate Coverage 24 Hour Foundation I’m generally not a fan of full coverage foundation. But this does not feel heavy or caking on my skin (yes, it’s a shade too light). I applied it pretty lightly, but you can easily build this up to you preferred coverage level. BECCA - Limited Edition Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder I was pleasantly surprised by this powder. I usually only use powder lightly under my eyes o set my concealer, but this was so light that I used it all over my face. It did not settle into my fine lines or make me look dry (aging skin). I applied with a velour puff and used a fluffy brush to remove the excess. Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek I’m a big fan of cream products and the fact that this does double duty, lips and cheeks, makes it a winner in my book. Milk MAKEUP - Kush Waterproof Mascara I’ve been dying to try this mascara (if you’ve read any of my previous posts, you know I’m on an unending hunt for the perfect mascara). But I couldn’t justify the price tag if it was just going to end up in the “meh” pile of mascaras I already have. It gave a great first impression, but I’ll have to use it a few more times before I decide to invest in a full sized tube. For under $40, I got to try some high end products that are usually out of my budget. I love Marshall’s for exactly this reason! What is your favorite Marshall’s find?

Miniature Milk Makeup haul
Milk Makeup is a brand I’ve been dying to try. But it is not in my budget. So when I got my hands on these mini products for under $20, I couldn’t wait to play with them!! Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer after one use, I like it, but it’s something that I’ll have to use all of before I decide for sure. Milk MAKEUP - Blur Stick easy to apply. Didn’t have to use my fingers. Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek love!! I enjoy a cream blush, and the fact that it does double duty as a lip gloss is even better. Milk MAKEUP - Kush Waterproof Mascara this is the product that I’ve been most excited to try. The brush is quite large and it applies the mascara nicely without clumping. What’s your favorite Milk product?

Inspired by Caroline Hirons
Happy New Year! In December I read Caroline Hiron’s book “Skincare a No NonSense Guide”. See earlier post for a review (I definitely recommend the read!). In her book she lays out the basics for creating a skincare routine. I am 35 with dry, normal skin. My concerns are preventing fine lines & wrinkles, dullness, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation. Here’s her basics for an AM Routine: 1. Cleanse A recent trend has been that you don’t need to wash your face in the morning. Instead you should look for a gentle cleanser. She also suggests staying away from foaming cleanser (these contain Sulfates) CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap I bought this Jumbo Clinique Facial Soap on sale in the summer and I’m still slowly working through it. It is gentle. However, after starting my clean skincare journey I found it has sulfates (second ingredient), TEA, and PEGs. I will swap for a “clean” soap when I finish it. (See my clean skincare posts for more info) 2. Exfoliate Caroline recommends using toners to exfoliate. Buy two acids a gentler and a stronger and rotate them. I’ve learned I like serums better for exfoliating, but I have started rotating two Pixi toners (see post for longer review) pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic 3. Spray Mist She suggests to look for a mist with glyercin or hyalonic acid or rose water. Or use a hydrating toner I’ve been using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for this step. A very affordable hyaluronic acid that won an Allure Beauty Award. Do you use a facial mist? What do you recommend? 4. Eye cream Many people say eye cream should be after serums & moisturizer, but says it should be first to act as a barrier for the eye area. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG See my previous post for full review. I’ve been using this to target my dark circles, but haven’t noticed much difference. 5. Serums / oils This step is where you should target your concerns (i.e., hyperpigmentation). I love Vitamin C serum for the AM. VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum This is a great drugstore Vitamin C serum. I’ve noticed my skin is brighter and more radiant! See earlier post for more info. 6. Moisturize CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion I got this as a reward from Clinique and really like it for a daytime moisturizer. If you are a fan of their Moisture Surge line you will like this. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated. With this concentrate you use less and it absorbs easily quicker. But from a “clean” beauty perspective it contains dyes. 7. SPF And finally always SPF. ICLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 This is a great BB cream with SPF, light coverage, and moisturizing This routine leaves me feeling great even without putting on anymore make-up

How I Built an Entire Routine for Under $150
For a long time I was intimated by skincare because it seemed very expensive and overwhelming. How do I know what to buy 🤷🏻‍♀️ When I started noticing wrinkles that was enough of a push for me to invest in skincare. Here’s some great lessons I’ve learned to build your skincare routine affordably: 1. Research to figure out what you need- here’s where my love of @cheriestarted! I read lots of reviews, advice, so I knew what type of products I should buy and what ingredients I should focus on. 2. Keep it Simple It’s easy to want to buy new products, adding new steps or ingredients to your routine, or try out the hype after reading reviews! Focus on your concerns and add slowly to give your skin time to adjust and see what’s working. It’s better to have a few great products that you love than many products you don’t use. I started with: Cleanse AM antioxidant serum, PM anti-aging serum Moisturizer Sunscreen Toners, eye cream, facial oil, and masks can be extras if you are looking to save money 3. Spend your money on the middle - if you can only splurge on one product make it the serum! This has the most benefit. Drugstore cleansers, moisturizers, and spf are great! 4. Try some great affordable brands such as The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Versed, or CeraVe 5. Buy trial size first, Value Sets or better free rewards before investing in a new product 6. Once you’ve found your Holy Grails keep your eyes open for sales to stock up, join the brands mailing list or reward program, buy value size Here’s my current skincare line-up and how much it cost me: CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild Use AM & PM Bought on sale for $27 for 13.5oz CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Use PM Free from Clinique rewards pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic Rotate PM Bought multi-pack on sale for $22 OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème Use AM and / or PM Bought on sale $25 The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Use AM $6.80 VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Use AM $26.99 OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides Use PM Bought on sale for $32 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum Use PM 1-2 times per week Free from Sephora Rewards Bazaar CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator Use AM & PM Free gift with purchase from Clinique CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer Use PM when not using lactic acid Free offer with purchase from Sephora The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Use PM $9.90 (Not pictured) currently using my kids Banana Boat Kids Simply Protect SPF 50 as my sunscreen

Ingredients to Build your Routine Around
I am 35 years old with two kids. I have dry / normal skin. My top concerns are fine lines & wrinkles, preventing aging, dullness, and dark circles. When I started my skincare routine, all I knew was that I started to notice fine lines & wrinkles and wanted to buy new products for “anti-aging”. After a lot of research, here are my Top 5 Ingredients with proven benefits for 30s Skin: 1. Retinol Retinol is a powerhouse for wrinkles. It is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It alters the behaviour of aged skin cells. It smooths skin texture, enhances radiance and treats aging. Retinol can be irritating to skin, so build up your tolerance gradually starting with a lower percentage and only 1-2 days per week. DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil If you need an alternative to retinol because you have sensitive skin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, bakuchiol is a good plant-based all natural alternative to retinol or rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 2. Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, irregular pigmentation, and promotes healthier collagen production. It neutralizes free radical damage and great for AM routine. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Duo SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum 3. Exfoliate / AHAs Exfoliation is about boosting cell turnover. You should do it twice a week. Use different acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Build up a tolerance. You can use toners, serums, or creams. Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum 4. Peptides Peptides preserve and boost collagen production. Peptides are short chain amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins such as collagen. It improves the appearance of firmness and wrinkles. Extensive research supports that peptides improve skin function and appearance. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster 5. Hydration In your 30s your skin tends to get dehydrated. Hydration will plump up skin. Add a hydrating toner, facial spray, hyaluronic acid serum. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 **BONUS** SPF Never forget you sunscreen ☀️

The gift of good skin!
For Christmas, I made my sister a new skincare routine! She has combo acne prone skin with some sensitivity and redness, she also complained of some dark circles around her eyes. She currently uses terrible products and is pretty lazy when it comes to skincare so she doesn’t even wash her face everyday! I tried to design something simple, affordable, and easy to keep up with (e.g. mostly drug store products) but also an effective starting point for her skin needs! How did I do? AM: Cleanser: OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser Eyes: THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Moisturizer: Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer PM: Makeup remover/lazy day cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover Cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanseror CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skindepending on what her skin is doing Eyes: THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Moisturizer: CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion For dry days or dry patches: CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream Spot Treatments: ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gelor PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots Masks: OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Maskand YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask

Allure March Beauty Box First Impression!
Allure March Beauty Box First Impression!
|| GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask Actually pretty satisfied I got this in my box because I’ve always wanted to try this! Everybody knows it’s a cult favorite but I wasn’t ready to take that jump because this product is priceyyyyy 😩 glad I got a little sample to see how I feel about it. Haven’t tried it yet but first impression it kind of has a strong smell that I’m not really liking but if it’s as good as everyone says I could probably overlook that. Stay tuned for a review! || OFRA - Nikkietutorials Everglow Highlighter The consistency/texture is so buttery and it’s sooo pigmented 😍 on my skin tone I could probably only use the gold one as a highlight but the copper/bronzy color can be used as a bomb eyeshadow and the lightest pearl shade can def be used as an inner corner highlight. Haven’t used it on my face yet but I’m soo excited to try this!! || URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil This one isn’t a first impression because I’ve used this product before. Love that it’s very smooth and glides beautifully BUTTTTTT I find that it isn’t very long lasting 😩 if you don’t mind reapplying throughout the day then this could be for you but I prefer a long lasting eyeliner that I don’t need to babysit lol still beautiful tho! || Mamonde - Rose Water Toner I have a veryyyy high standard when it comes to my rose toners! My holy grail toner is the rose hydrating facial toner from Fresh and I’m not sure if this one can compare, but I won’t pass any judgement until I try it. It has a nice light scent nothing too over bearing so stay tuned for a review! || FLOSS GLOSS - Floss beauty my new favorite lip gloss I’m a lip gloss girl through and through and I love adding new glosses to my collection. Cute minimalistic packaging and smells like cupcakes😍🧁 the gloss isn’t sticky or thick at all it’s very light weight on the lips and gives a beautiful shine!! || LUÉ by Jean Seo - ERASE So this claims to be a “cleansing, exfoliating, and brightening” powder that you just add water to. I’ve never used a product like this before so I’m curious to see how this goes. The powder is very fine and it kind of smells like oatmeal which I’m actually not mad at. Stay tuned for a review! || LAPCOS - Derma Sheet Mask Ceramide So this is the only product I can’t open and see what it’s like because then I would have to use it at that moment before it dried out so I have no first impression other than it’s a pretty color and I’m intrigued to see if it will really firm my skin. I’ve always been really iffy when it came to sheet masks but stay tuned for a review! The Allure Box is only $15 a month and I def think it’s worth it. 1 or 2 of the products are full sized and the rest are deluxe sample sizes but I think that’s all you really need to see if you really like the product and would purchase full size. Can’t wait to see April Box!

I haven’t tried a lot of tarte
I haven’t tried a lot of tarte skincare, but I love their Busy Gal brow gel. The color matches my brows so perfectly and it’s the quickest/easiest brow gel i’ve ever used! I like the Mermaid Skin hyaluronic serum. It’s not sticky and it absorbs fast! I wish the smell was different - it’s not strong or bad necessarily, but it’s kind of chemical-y to me.

avantskincare - Deluxe Hyaluro
avantskincare - Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Face & Eye Night Cream - I love a BOGOF kind of product that works for multiple parts of your face/ body! This is one of those. A night cream that covers your whole face, neck & eyes, filled with amazing ingredients such as Shea Butter, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B3, Sea Water & Sweet Almond. So nourishing, my skin is soft & hydrated and looks fresh when I wake up in the morning (apart from today) byterry - Colour Fix Eyeshadow (Frozen Quartz). A glossy, rose gold glitter eye shadow with amazing sparkle and strong staying power. So pretty to look at and so effortless to use. . byterry - CC Serum (White Rose). In my best Minion style voice all I have to say is “illumination”. This brings the dullest of skin the look of radiance. A soft focus illuminating glow and a perfect base for foundation. Can also be used alone and over foundation. Basically this is glow, glow and more glow with the benefit of a skincare product. bobbibrown - Tinted Moisturiser. This saves me so much time when I am running around failing at life in the mornings. It gives a light coverage of a foundation tint with the benefit of a moisturiser and SPF. I whack this on over my moisturiser then dull down with a face powder or setting powder. Unfortunately because I am oily this does make me look extra shiny, the powder absorbs that shine and makes it look natural. Takes 5 minutes the only tool you need is your fingers. drunk elephant - A Passoni Retinol. First impression- amazing

Trying THE TikTok viral foundation hack ✨
Trying THE TikTok viral foundation hack ✨
Today on this segment of testing out TikTok beauty hacks I present to you: The foundation application method that has everyone amazed. Originally posted by TikTok user @/ridaaaamat (I used her audio for this tutorial), she explains that she recently discovered this trick and your makeup is going to look amazing and stay on 24/7. I personally don’t know who wears their makeup for a full day but you do you, bb. Now on to my thoughts, I noticed my makeup went on a bit more matte than I usually prefer but it still looked pretty good to me and not caked on at all. It wasn’t hard at all to do because I’m already following all these steps when doing my usual face base routine, you just alter the order of application et voilà, a beautiful canvas ready for the rest of your makeup products. I never wear my makeup longer than a few hours tbh so I can’t attest to the longevity of it but I’m guessing it would stay put throughout the day without issue. Have you tried this foundation hack? Did it work for you? Here are the products I used ✨ Moisturizer: cocokind - Texture smoothing cream Setting powder: laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder Setting mist: TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Foundation: DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation

FAB tinted moisturizer SPF 30 $28
FAB tinted moisturizer SPF 30 $28
With no place to go or much to do these days, I’ve let my full coverage foundations rest along with my face. I initially purchased this product from Sephora to wear on weekends because of the natural sheer coverage and SPF. It wears well for running errands, going for a walk or staying around the house. From the photos, I have scars, redness, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, but the product is buildable. When my skin looks too oily, I applied powder over it and it still looked pretty good. I applied the tinted moisturizer with a damp makeup sponge after applying toner and serum to my face. Con: It does have an SPF smell. Shake the tube before use as it tends to separate.
