[REVIEW] My Mini Empties
[REVIEW] My Mini Empties
Hey y’all! I recently decided to actively work on emptying skincare products I’ve already opened. In this case, I was able to get through quite a lot of sample and mini/travel-sized products and here is my two cents on these empties! Enjoy ❤️ *Note: I have oily/acne-prone skin 🍃 YTTP Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser - Great cleanser if you like the scent of leafy greens (i.e predominantly kale and spinach) - Non-stripping and lathers nicely - Really expensive (perhaps overhyped) for a cleanser - I like it but I would not purchase the full size for myself unless it was on sale 🧼 REN Perfect Canvas Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser - Great cleanser if you like a balm-to-milk texture - It is super thiccck (hard to get product out) - Again, quite expensive for a cleanser - I prefer cleansing oils and I noticed that I used a lot of product and had to aggressively scrub my face; I would not purchase the full size 🌾 VSPINK Lavender Hand Cream with Shea Butter - Great product if you like a fairly quick-absorbing and lavender-scented hand cream - A little goes a long way! - Fairly affordable for a hand cream - Loved this hand cream! I am looking forward to trying the coconut version! 🧴 CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion - Great gentle moisturizer for all skin types (especially oily skin like me) - Easy to spread and quick-absorbing - Affordable for the amount you get - Loved this moisturizer! Great for daily use and especially when my skin becomes irritated. I would definitely consider purchasing the full size. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Perfect Canvas Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin

How I do my lips with eyeshadow!!!!
How I do my lips with eyeshadow!!!!
So here is a mini tut on how I do my lips sometimes. I just love using eyeshadow sometimes because you can give your lips dimension and a really nice gradient look! I line my lips with the darker shadow of my liking. This time I used my: ELOISE - The Queen Eyeshadow Palette COLOR- Throne Then I dabbed some #Wet n wild - Lipstick- black[products]#[FourStars] ...and I mean very little, focus on the corners and not too much on the center. Blend it out and pack on more of the darker shadow. Avoid the center. Then I took color- Powerful And packed it on the center of top and bottom. After that I take my ILLAMASQUA - Loaded Lip Polish in clear and just dab it on. I also like to take a little more of the shadows to melt it onto the gloss and add a little more color. I know it’s a little weird and the process makes no sense but I love the outcome!!!! 💄 Special tip!!!! Applying some concealer to your lips before will create a better base! I didn’t in this one but it does help! What do you think??? Try it out! Let me know!!!

Ceramides - your skin barriers best friend
Ceramides - your skin barriers best friend
I’m a huge sucker for anything with ceramides in them. It’s such a great skin fortifying ingredient that I can’t get enough of. One of the latest product additions to my routine is THE inkey LIST - Ceramide Hydrating Night Treatment . This is an overnight treatment that contains a multi ceramide complex 3% and multi molecular hyaluronic acid 2.5% along with squalane, sodium pca, cholesterol, and a variety of amino acids. These all work in synergy to help protect and rehydrate the skin by forming a protective barrier to prevent moisture lost. This has a slightly thick and sticky cream-ish texture that takes a bit of experimenting to be fully incorporated into a routine. Once fully absorbed, it leaves a bit of a tacky finish. Since this is considered a treatment product, I use it during serum step after my watery serums, if I’m using any that night, right before my moisturizer. So the first time I used this, I experienced massive pilling. I had to do some guesswork and experiment with what I was using before and after this product. What I found worked best for me was using minimal products before applying this, and applying it on slightly damp skin. Applying it on slightly damp skin helped me spread it all over my face easier, and I noticed it also helped the product absorb much quicker. I really liked this product after I figured out how to utilize it. I’ve used this every night for the past 3 weeks now, and especially on exfoliation nights to help rebuild my skin barrier. Since then, my skin has definitely felt stronger and looks more nourished. I didn’t experience any irritations or breakouts while using this as well. Overall, this is a great product to have in an evening routine once you’ve figured out how to utilize it within your own routine. After that, you can expect a stronger skin barrier over time. The inkey list really impressed me with this one. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts on it? Rating: 4/5🌟 #CherieCreator #TheInkeyList

Will Salicylic Acid Clear Your Skin?
Will Salicylic Acid Clear Your Skin?
The short answer is maybe. Here's the long answer. First, let's find out what salicylic acid is. Salicylic acid is a lipid soluble beta hydroxy acid which has comedolytic (inhibits formation of comedones) and desmolytic (breaks the junctions between corneocyte cells in the stratum corneum) properties. How does it work? The molecular structure of salicylic acid is what makes it lipid soluble, allowing it to penetrate the lipid layers between skin cells and dissolve debris in pores. This is how it's able to prevent the formation of comedones (blackheads and whitehead). Furthermore, salicylic acid breaks down the "glue" that holds corneocyte cells together, resulting in the softening and sloughing off of the very top layer of skin cells from the top layer of skin known as the stratum corneum. This is known as exfoliation. Exfoliation helps prevents accumulation of dead skin cells, sebum, makeup, etc. In plain English, it gets down deep into your skin, clears out your pores, and keeps all that gunk from getting back into you pores by not allowing it to build up on your skin. So to answer the title question, if blackheads and whiteheads are an issue for you, yes, salicylic acid may be a great ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine. NOW, HERE'S THE CATCH. Salicylic acid can absolutely help you on your way to clear skin, BUT you need to use it properly, patiently, and persistently. How to use it: READ AND FOLLOW PRODUCT DIRECTIONS first and foremost to make sure you are properly using each product. Also, consider patch testing the product before putting it on the affected are. If using in wash form, it may help to leave it on your skin for a couple minutes to let the salicylic acid be in contact with your skin longer, then wash off completely. If using in a spot treatment, tread lightly until you know how your skin will react. you also definitely need to makes sure you keep your skin moisturized as salicylic acid can be very drying. And as always, use sunscreen every day. Failure to properly use products containing salicylic acid may result in skin injury!!! How long to use it: Providing it's well tolerated, it's important to give salicylic acid time to work. Trying a product for a week and giving up is common, but salicylic acid can take up to 6 weeks to give you the full result. 6 WEEKS. So if you find a product that you tolerate well, give it time, sis. Be patient. For best results be persistent, trust the process, and don't get discouraged. Taking a "before" picture will help you monitor your progress. Look out for: -allergic reaction -tingling -itching -peeling *make sure to talk to your doctor before using salicylic acid during pregnancy Lastly, the product pictured is Zapzyt, my all time favorite salicylic acid acne wash. It's fragrance free and very gentle on my sensitive skin. You can expect to pay no more than $10 USD and it lasts for months. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 📢😂 and happy skincare hunting!
