Once upon a starry night 🌌

I am really into stars and ILNP BOUTIQUE COSMETICS - Holographic Nail Polish
is like having a stars on your nails. ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) describes it as a “captivatingly deep midnight blue nail polish that’s sure to remind you of a night sky filled with dazzling stars.” Looking Up was a part of the 2016 Winter Collections. It is also fully opaque in 2-3 coats. It has a gorgeous glossy finish. When doing these nails, I did these steps: 1. Base coat: I used Pink Amour 2. Looking Up 3. Quick dry top coat: Sally Hansen - Big Kwik Dry Top Coat Pro tip: If you want to save polish, then paint a layer of black polish so Looking Up has a nice foundation to build upon. Price: $10 on ILNP; same on Amazon with added shipping fee. #CheriePartner

The brown and gold mani I’m bringing into 2021
BASE COAT OPI - Nail Envy Original : I used one coat of this on each nail as a base coat. BROWN POLISH I have been searching for the perfect brown nail polish and while I almost bought one from Essie’s Expressie line, I decided to get a $15, four-piece Zoya set from Amazon instead. (Zoya polishes usually cost $10 each. On the Zoya website, the same quad costs $30.) The “Tis The Season” quad had two cream polishes and two shimmers. The brown polish is called “Debbie” and is a plum brown. On the thumbs and the pinkies, I used the Zoya polish “Tasha,” which is described as a “sensual brunette brown metallic.” It is perfect. Zoya polishes has Big-10 free breathable formula free of: • Formaldehyde • Formaldehyde Resin • Dibutl • Toluene • Camphor • TPHP • Parabens • Xylene • Ethyl • Tosylamide • Lead GOLD POLISH AND NAIL STAMPING PLATE For the gold design, I went with Maniology’s Gold Rush polish, a metallic champagne gold, and the MxM041 plate. Maniology is 5-free and doesn’t use: • Formaldehyde • Formaldehyde Resin • Dibutl Phthalate • Toluene • Camphor TOP COAT To seal in all of my work, I chose an old reliable, the Sally Hansen - Big Kwik Dry Top Coat . It doesn’t smudge the stamp, dries quickly is leaves a glossy smooth surface. I did this mani Saturday and the first picture was taken on Wednesday. As of New Year’s Eve, there hasn’t been a chip. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

THIS FUN NEW POLISH MAKES ME SMILE
I got kbshimmer - Oh Splat! White Glitter Nail Polish with Rainbow Glitters from Amazon more than a month ago and just opened it three days ago. I. AM. OBSESSED. Not only is it a super fun nail polish, but the white base with multicolored hexglitters actually lended to me using Maniology - Mani x Me June 2019 Jazzercise (B285) Sky Blue Stamping Polish , a color I got from a Maniology mystery bundle that I had yet to use. I also decided to use a Nicole Diary stamping plate for the design. And I sealed everything with Sally Hansen - Big Kwik Dry Top Coat . What do you think?

🎃 FAV witchy / fall nail colors
Together, I think these colors are the perfect gradient for a Fall-themed striped shirt. If you like any of the colors you see here, here’s a break down on each ~ ILNP BOUTIQUE COSMETICS - Holographic Nail Polish ILNP is known for making super glittery, unique polish colors. I adore this shade because when the light hits, you see blue, green, red, and gold flecks of glitter. But in dimmer lights, the gold is more noticeable. This makes it look elegant or party-esque depending where you go. My only complaint is I wish the color was a little more opaque. And it takes a steady hand to apply it evenly. It took 4 thin coats to get it to full opacity. Still, it dries drown reasonably quick- about 6 minutes per coat. And what makes it stand out from other nail polish is how s h i n y it is without a top coat. I wonder if that’s why they made the color almost -jelly like: to emphasize the shine. I got it for $10.00 on Amazon. That’s the same rate as popular brands like OPI and Essie- except you get more beauty and uniqueness for your buck. It wore on me for 5 days before minor chipping but I HIGHLY recommend this brand. 🌹 Wear this to go out at night or for a Euphoria watch party. essie - Expressie Quick-Dry Nail Polish in the shade Taxi Hopping. I love this color. It’s like... an alien mustard. But it’s super flattering~ neither too bright nor too muted for my neutral-toned skin. This one is opaque in about 3 coats. At 2, you can still see the white ends of your nail. But the point of this line- Called “Expressie-“- is that is dries fast. Each coat was dry within 2 minutes. It wasn’t exceptionally shiny, but it was nothing a good top coat couldn’t fix. It wore for 5 days before I saw some shrinkage at the tips. It wasn’t patchy at ALL- which can be hard to pull off with unique colors like this. I got it for $9.00 at Bed Bath & Beyond. It comes with 0.33 oz, whereas most of Essie’s polishes come with 0.46 for the same price. But hey, the quick dry time and interesting colors more than make up for it to me. 🌹 Wear this for Halloween or to dress like an E-girl. essie - Longwear Nail Polish in Bubbles Only. Dark wine red is my FAVORITE nail polish color. This one was even and opaque on 1 coat. Though I did notice it has a slight pinky look to it when applied. It had a standard dry time similar to ILNP’s. The texture felt like liquid even though it’s a gel. I still need to wear it longer to see how well it puts up with daily duties! I got it for $11.50 at Ulta, and it comes with 0.46 oz like Essie’s regular line. You’ll love this polish if you’re looking for a trusty dark red that’s easy to work with. 🌹 Wear this... whenever and where ever. Red just has confident energy where ever it goes.

i have been on the hunt for a perfect summery tangerine nail color. i haven’t found it yet, but this was the next best thing that i saw at ulta this weekend. essie - Enamel Nail Polish in “check your baggage” is such a fun shade - it is described as a bright creamy yellow with red undertones. i think that this would be gorgeous on anyone with warmer undertones. i am determined to find my tangerine shade! we’re almost to the end of the summer so i have to maximize my time with fun colors, lol.

Sally Hansen - Insta Dri Nail Color in ASAP Apple So this is the red nail polish I currently use. It’s very bright and pigmented and it’s a great red for warmer seasons. It’s easy to get an even coat of color. I took off one star because first the brush is really really big. This is good for easy application but I have narrow nails so sometimes it gets messy for me. Also it’s not the most long lasting nail polish and it chips very easily in my opinion even though I’m usually pretty careful with nails. This is why I use Sally Hansen - Ultimate Shield as a top coat especially when using this nail polish. This actually makes the nail polish last longer and has a beautiful shiny finish. It can double as a base coat but I don’t see a big difference using it before nail polish or not.

Doing my nails for the first time in a while is my way of practicing at home wellness. In general I’ve been trying to pay more attention to myself and see what I would enjoy or benefit from! Adding these pops of color was a great way for me to brighten the coming days! I don’t recall the nail polish brand but I used the Sally Hansen topcoat. It did it’s job!

Rock and Roll!!! Cool girls must have🖤🖤🖤
Rock and Roll!!! Cool girls must have🖤🖤🖤
Black and silver nails are recommended for girls with cool or neutral styles. Because of the condition of my work, I always wear black on stage, so my nails are mostly black. My friend and I made these black nails for each other at home with nail tools. I chose the frosted black style. First, we need to trim dead skin and file the nails to make a square circle. Then, we need to apply black nail polish evenly to the nails. Because black is still a thick color, so you need to paint 2-3 layers. The second step is to apply the frosted gum. Black scrub can sometimes show more thick, let a person have no sense of vitality . Not only did I paint the ring finger of both hands silver for color jumping, but also I added some gold powder. The black nails were inspired by an Instagram blogger, who is a freelance musician who often focuses on rock and jazz. Unlike my usual cutesy nails, it's great to try a new style once in a while. My friend's black nails are a bit more complicated than mine, with beautiful diamonds and shades of silver, which took me about 90 minutes to finish. As someone who doesn't have a lot of diy manicure experience, it's still very difficult. First, we make our nails round. Then paint black on the thumb, middle finger and little finger, and silver on the forefinger. The hardest part was the ring finger, and I needed to use the thinniest nail brush to do it, which was quite a challenge for me when I tried it for the first time. But with the encouragement of my friend, he placed great confidence in me. After the last color, I used the base sealant. As we all know reinforced bottom glue is only needed when sticking diamonds and other ornaments. Finishing with yellow diamonds. wow! What a perfect DIY nail art experience

Ombré Nails Tutorial
Ombré Nails Tutorial
Need a use for those old cosmetic sponges? This is nail look perfect for that! What you’ll need: •cosmetic sponge (any shape is OK) •3 nail polishes that will look nice together •paper towel •2 q-tips or a tiny paint brush •nail polish remover •top coat Steps: 1. Paint your nails the color that is the lightest out of your 3 chosen shades. Only paint 1 layer - don’t worry if it’s messy or not opaque. This layer must be completely dry! 2. Take your cosmetic sponge and paint 3 thin lines using your polishes. The color closest to the edge will be closest to your cuticle, so keep that in mind for your finished results. 3. Bounce the sponge 1x on your paper towel to remove excess polish. 4. Bounce the sponge on your nail a few times while slightly rotating your nail so that you get polish on all edges. 5. Repeat on each nail. 6. After first layer has dried, repeat with a second layer. 7. Clean up around your nail with a q-tip or paint brushes dipped in nail polish remover. 8. Once all nails are completely dry, seal in your ombré mani with top coat. Note: I wasn’t able to remove all of the excess polish around my nails with my polish remover soaked q-tip. I suggest doing this mani a day ahead of time because after a few hand washes the excess will wash away on its own. Products I used: Seche - Vite Dry Fast Clear Top Coat Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in shades “babe blue” & “jam sesh” Sally Hansen - Miracle Gel shade “tidal wave” up&up - Strengthening Nail Polish Remover I’m not sure where I got the cosmetic sponge, but you can easily find packs of them at any drugstore, Walmart, Target, etc for very cheap!
