Cream vs. powder eyeshadow

Eyeshadow can be such a fun part of a makeup routine. Whether it is cream or powder, eyeshadow can enhance the eyes in a simple way. Let’s delve into two formulas I have in my collections: Personally, I love the versatility of cream eyeshadows. Will it be an eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer, base, eyeliner, etc.c today? Who knows? The Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment
in Silent Disco is relatively beginner friendly. What it does?: On Milk’s website, the eye pigments come in 8 different colors available for purchase. (Only 5 are on Sephora.com.) The pigments are meant to be long-wearing, crease-free, oil-free, cruelty-free and a whole lot of other things free. Use with an angled brush for a colorful winged eyeliner look. There I was digging through the beauty section of one of my local T.J. Maxx and I saw the Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment
in Silent Disco. Described as a deep brown base with copper and gold shimmers, it is actually more unique than it sounds. To me, the base almost looks black which is why I compared it to the black in the REVOLUTION - Soph x Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette
palette with both COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow
used on top of that to create a similar look. MY EXPERIENCE: This pigment is so pretty and acts as a great all-over lid shade of you are having a lazy makeup day. The $5.99 price tag (0.34 fl. oz./10 mL) makes me love it more. (It is originally $24.) My eyelids are slightly darker and oily, but this covers the discoloration and shows true to color. The oils from my eyelids don’t break this pigment down easily. ••• If you ever want to dupe another shadow, then COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow
and REVOLUTION - Soph x Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette
are the way to go. Like I said the Milk pigment was such a unique color that CP just didn’t have. (Or at the very least, wasn’t in my collection.) I do think the this combo gets pretty close. Recommend? I recommend both. Milk for the product, but not the $24 price tag and CP/MR for the price tag, but not for the specific color.

NikeVikiMe too! It can be hard to blend sometimes depending on the base, but the whole palette is a great value.

MERMAID inspired makeup!🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🐚
hello everyone! today i am sharing a more wearable mermaid inspired makeup look!🧜🏼‍♀️ theres a big trend online to do mermaid inspired makeup, and although they look amazing, it would be a little weird to wear them out. this makeup i created is very intense, but its still wearable!😌 the point of the trend is to use purples, greens, and blues to emulate a mermaid. a lot people do scales on their face, but i would like this to be more wearable😊 so, heres how i got this look! dont forget to follow and cheer for more! i started with my e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer as normal. then, i applied my Juvia's PLACE - I am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation in alexandria. this foundation is great for people like me who have very pale/very dark skin and oily skin!☺️ i used my e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer under the eyes as normal, and set with my e.l.f. - Perfect Finish HD Powder as normal. i dusted my COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush in “whole nine yards” as usual, just to add some color to my face. then comes the fun part-the eyes! 👁 i used my PLOUISE - Base Shade in “1” as an eyeshadow base. without eyeshadow base, your eyeshadow will crease and not look as bright! i then started my eye shadow with a light lilac shade from colourpop called “heiress” above my crease. i deeped it with a darker purple called “try me”. both of these are COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow !😃 i then used one of my all time favorite palettes, and an essential to this look- COLOURPOP - Blue Moon Shadow Palette 🌙. this palette is SOO pigmented and beautiful! i used the shade intense blue “fine china” on my outer corner, and put “tide pool” on my outer corner to add shimmer. i used “lumi” as a highlighter on my cheek and brow bone. lumi is the most beautiful, iridescent eyeshadow i have EVER used!😍 i used the mint blue shade “haze” from the HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette on my lower lash line, and COLOURPOP - Crème Gel Liner in “ice breaker” in my water line. the most essential part to this look in my opinion was the COLOURPOP - Colourpop Glitter Gel in “disco lady”! this glitter is a stunning, reflective “pastel rainbow” glitter! it looks a bit like scales and added so much to this look! i put it on my lid and in my inner corner. i finished off with my all time favorite L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara and then added a pop to my lips using MILANI - Ludicrous Lip Gloss in “beaming light” to add an amazing blue shine to my lips! u can see it alot better in person🙂 and viola! im casually a mermaid😎 lemme know what you think of this look and if you would wear it!💖 #CheriePartner

expressive eye makeup💖
hello everyone! sorry i havent been posting much lately, ive had a very ruff week. but today i decided to share a really colorful and expressive eye makeup look!😊 its hard to make cool eyeshadow looks sometimes, because i have very hooded eyes. its hard to tell in my pictures, but when i look straight foward my crease touches my lash line. thats why i like to do “all over the lid” looks like this. my hood hides glitter sometimes, so this is a better way of of incorporating glitter in my opinion. these shadows will stand out great on most skin, but especially pale skin like mine because its such a stark contrast. because it stands out against my skin, it also draws attention to the eye area. 😊 i started off with the PLOUISE - Base Shade in shade 1 as a eye shadow primer. this helps eyemakeup MUCH longer and appear much brighter then, i went in with the COLOURPOP - Miss Bliss Shadow Palette palette. i used the soft pink shade “loves it” on the outer part of my eye. i used the orange shade “optimist” in the middle, then i used a single yellow shadow from colourpop called “tiki” on the inner part of my eye. COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow these shadows are great, but i wanted a more intense, neon look. MORPHE - 35O3 Fierce By Nature Artistry Palette . i wanted a more intense look, so i used the hot pink shade from this palette to make it even brighter. i used the neon orange shade as well😌 after that, i went back in with the miss bliss palette and applied the glitter “law of attraction” all over my lid. the cool thing about white glitters is that you cant see them unless theyre hitting the light. its almost like a little surprise!💖 i then applied a COLOURPOP - Colourpop Glitter Gel called “glam rock” in the inner corner. this lasts a long time, but i would recommend using a glitter glue for this. i forgot to use one for this look, but i like the NYX one!😊 after that, i used another colourpop single shadow called “star child” on my lower lashline to add a pop of purple! i finished with my e.l.f. - Intense Ink Eyeliner . this stuff lasts pretty long and is pretty easy to use too! its a standard black liner with a felt tip. and finally, i finish with my all time fav L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara . this stuff NEVER clumps or falls on your cheeks, and will last ALL DAY! it truly works wonder! i know this look was... colorful😂 but i wanted to do something fun, since were all stuck at home anyways. this is not something i would wear to work, but i would wear this out because i like to express myself😊 lemme know what bright colors you would like me to try next! dont forget to follow and cheer😊😊 #CheriePartner

My spring makeup looks
These are my everyday “natural” makeup look, I prefer light things on my face that just make it look more natural and beautiful and all this stuff is tested tried and true finally! It took me awhile to find the best stuff for what I wanted to look like, I will say Kosas lip balm is amazing but the cream blush and highlighter is not my favorite, then again nothing compares to glossier am I right?? They always knock it out of the park. And when I’m going for a little more noticeable makeup then I pull out my milk make up eyeshadow cream 5/5 cause that baby stays on alllllllll day long with no creasing, and yah girls got some oily eyelids too. Also their kush mascara is beautiful Just thought I would share the products I love and what I will be repurchasing when I run out, what are some of your guys favorite tried and true products? #springmakeuplooks

Milk Makeup Eye pigment
Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment The Milk Makeup Eye Pigments were my first introduction into eyeshadows in a form other than powder. There’s a lot of color options available, but the ones I have (in order of top to bottom) are Gig, Rager, Hotel Lobby, All Nighter, After Party, and Rave. Sadly, Gig and Rager are no longer being sold, which is a shame because Gig is my favorite shade. These bad boys do not budge when you put them on the eye. I don’t need a primer or anything, but actually have to work super quick to blend before the shadow sets. I work one eye at a time in order to make sure they’re properly blended, and I apply with my fingers rather than brushes. I use these on their own without layering over powder or other eyeshadows. Love them.Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment

MELANIN TREASURE By beauty of
MELANIN TREASURE By beauty of colour is a joyous wonder. I love it when black owned brands step up the game. This baby is huge with really generous pan sizes 🙌🏾. Let’s get into the packaging real quick. This baby reflects light so beautifully and the colours mimic the shades in the palette. I also love the representation of women of colour on the palette, I can’t stop admiring the rendition. She is an 18 pan eyeshadow palette;”pigmented matte and ultra metallic eyeshadows”. . All the colours were swatched without a primer or base and she is popping! ✅blend ability ✅pigmented AF ✅made for all ✅cruelty free, gluten free, paraben free ✅worldwide shipping Thoughts? As for me, I am gagging to use those shimmer/metallic shades. The matte shades were so easy to swatch... an in love.

Too Faced - Gingerbread Extra Spicy Pallet
Too Faced - Gingerbread Extra Spicy Pallet
This#Too Faced - Limited Edition Gingerbread Extra Spicy Eye Shadow Palette[products]#[FiveStars] is by far one of the most perfect eye shadow pallet! So beautiful and stunning that I bought my mom one as well (this is her untouched pallet in the video 👀) even though she hasn’t used it yet hahaha! I didn’t buy the original Too Faced gingerbread pallet so I can’t speak on similarities only that they both have 18 neutral gold toned shades. This pallet ranges from shimmer and matte shades that look great together or separately. As you can in the video, the shades look stunning and have great color pay off too! I have oily eyelids so I always need to use a primer. My go to Primer is MAC Painterly pot and it has been for over a year! I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a strong base for your eyelooks. I think it’s such an outstanding pallet with stunning colors. However, I was not sure why the pallet started appearing in Marshall’s or TJ Maxx but if you find it on sale definitely pick it up and add it to your collection. I did not pay full price since I got it on a special promotion on qvc. The shades are pigmented and blend well with other colors too! For now the pallet retails for $29.50 instead of the original $49.99. This pallet was extremely popular doing the holiday season and got lots of positive reviews from what I could tell! It was limited edition but I think you can still find it in stores! Like I said I picked up a pallet for me and my mom and definitely recommend it to others! Great pallet all year long!

Nabla Cosmetics Nude Cutie Pal
Nabla Cosmetics Nude Cutie Palette (€23,50/$26.73usd) Okay so how perfect are these Nabla Cosmetics palettes?? I love the color stories, the mix of finishes, the formulas, the packaging... everything! Normally I'd prefer the warm tones of the Coral palette but these neutrals are sexy af! The Nude Palette features three formulas: Satin, Metal Foil and Latex Matte. Metal Foil is a brand formula with an incredible metallic and mirrored foil effect and a creamy touch. The Latex Matte formula is described on the website as 'extremely sensorial and almost wet to the touch, with a unique polished-matte finish'. It reminds me of a satin finish in that it looks shimmery in the pan and will maintain its sheen when packed on with a shader brush (like in the swatches) but it buffs out to a matte finish. The 6 shades: ▪️Moonlight (satin)- cream with delicate peach and pink duochrome shimmers ▪️Seducer (Metal Foil)- mauve with pink and gold reflects ▪️Latex Nude (Latex matte)- medium-light taupe pink ▪️No Doubts (Latex matte)- milk chocolate ▪️Glorious (Metal Foil)- light neutral golden bronze ▪️Plastick (Latex matte)- black . I love the formulas in this palette! Seducer and Glorious are so damn beautiful and reflective on the lid. And I love the versatility of Latex Nude, No Doubts and Plastick. You can use them in the crease the way you would a regular matte or pack them all over the lid for a natural look with just a hint of sheen.

Nabla Cosmetics Coral Cutie Pa
Nabla Cosmetics Coral Cutie Palette (€23,50/$26.73usd) Okay so the palettes... there's two little 6 pan palettes: one warm and one neutral. Nabla always comes correct with the packaging and presentation and these palettes are no exception. They're a nice heavy cardboard with a swirling watercolor design and a good mirror. And all of Nabla's products are cruelty free and vegan. Although they are smaller, I wouldn't call them 'mini' because the shadows are full sized and the palette contains 8g of product. For reference the ABH palettes have 11g of product and 14 shadows. The Coral Cutie Palette features a variety of different formulas with multidimensional finishes including Fluid Metal, Satin, Super Matte, Celestial and Metal Foil. Metal Foil is a formula with an incredible metallic and mirrored foil effect and a creamy touch. The 6 shades: ▪️I Got You (Metal foil)- flamingo with duochrome magenta and coral reflects ▪️Red Shape (Satin)- fire red with copper reflects ▪️Anyway (Super Matte)- espresso ▪️Mandarin (Celestial)- mandarin ▪️Feelings (Super Matte)- coral pink ▪️Coral Amber (Fluid metal)- coral amber with bronze reflects It's absolutely beautiful and I adore the mixture of colors and textures.
