What does it do? Rose
Rosewater, rosehip oil, rose essential oil, and the list goes on ... Roses have been an essential beauty product for centuries From perfume to oils to face creams to medicine, it has been in something. So for this “What does it do?,” I decided to breakdown the properties of roses in skin care. I mean roses may smell nice, but what can adding it to your routine do for you? Let’s talk about it ... What does it do for the skin? Roses are full of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. They also have antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. Antioxidants help your skin fight against free radicals, which can reduce the strength of your skin. Basically, look younger for longer. (Is there a way to get an IV of this stuff? 😂) Rose byproducts tens to be used by people of all skin types: dry, combination, normal, oily, sensitive and mature. Smelling like roses: Rosehips are packed full of high levels of vitamin C, which is why the oil has recently been suggested to help with hyperpigmentation. Vitamin A also may treat the appearance of lines and wrinkles and other visible signs of aging. The oil from roses also moisturizes your skin and protects your skin from moisture loss. It also keeps free radicals and toxins out. Actual rosewater hydrates your skin, provides antibacterial help while it regulates your skin’s pH. Talk about a multitasker! Your roses really smell like: Because of the growing numbers of people with a smell sensitivity, I am sure there are people who have experienced a negative reaction. Now let’s talk about the two products I decided to highlight: 🌹 fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner
Hyaluronic acid moisturizers
Hyaluronic acid face cream & gel
Dry and sensitive skin creams
Katee.BI love the fragrance of roses soooo much! A favorite rose product of my is the Thayer's toner, smell like dream!

NikeVikiI love the smell of rose, too. I actually did a review of Thayer’s. The witch hazel is an astringent and can dry out your skin over time. LABeautyologist, an esthetician, has a whole YouTube video about it. Her YT name is GoldenSkinRx

My Thoughts on LUXURY SKINCARE 💸✨ Worth it? p.1
First of all skincare that’s a luxury to me may not be a luxury to you. I honestly think that it’s not the product brand or claims that make it a luxury, but the science, thought and ingredients behind it. We all have our own budgets and limits on how much we’re willing to spend so with everything I say on this subject, take it with a grain of salt! Skin Ceuticals. This is probably my favorite skincare brand- there’s so much research and science behind each product. My favorites include: - SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel a super lightweight, but extremely hydrating and skin-plumping serum full of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin B5 - SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum a potent anti-oxidant serum with Vitamins C & E, Ferulic Acid & L-Ascorbic Acid to help treat hyper-pigmentation and brighten the skin - SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 a low percentage retinol for speeding up cell turnover without any irritation or overly drying the skin - SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 a super thin serum formula with high SPF to protect your skin from the sun - no white cast! Drunk Elephant. Their products are expensive and get hyped up A LOT (which sometimes makes me not want to try them?), but I like that their products are usually centered around one main ingredient. I’ve tried: - DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum which is a nice glycolic serum that helps to smooth and exfoliate the skin but I’ve tried other glycolic products like ALPHA-H - Micro Super Scrub with 12% Glycolic Acid which I find more effective! - DRUNK ELEPHANT - D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops just a bronze-colored serum but I don’t find anything too special about it or its ingredients. I fell for the “anti-pollution” claim- never again! Fresh. I love some and don’t love some. I like their whole “natural” approach but I find some of their formulas not effective on my skin at all. - fresh - Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence I LOVE this facial treatment. I use it as an essence, as it contains Lactic Acid, to help gently brighten & smooth the skin. - fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer This is super moisturizing night cream that really plumps up my skin overnight so I wake up to glowy, bouncy skin! - fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner This is so disappointing compared to their Black Tea Facial Treatment. It does nothing to hydrate- just feels like overpriced rose water. - fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer I think the rose in the formula irritates my skin and turns it a little pink. I’ve just been using it as a body cream so I it doesn’t go to waste! Elemis- check out part 2!
One of my all time favorite brands - Fresh
fresh - Rose Face Mask The rose face mask is one of my all time favorites! It tones, hydrates, corrects hyperpigmentation and scarring and feels so nourishing on my skin. This is a mask that I can reach for any day and any time, I highly recommend you try it out! fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer The rose deep hydration face cream is a great product that works well for my dry/normal skin! I love the rose scent, but the perfumes are a little too overpowering for me to repurchase (I’m trying to stay away from highly scented products to minimize skin irritation). The face cream has a rich texture but my skin soaks it up so quickly and it does not leave me feeling greasy! Let me know what your favorite Fresh product is!

New Buys and Rebuys
I did a mini skincare and haircare haul and I’m excited to get into my new products! I had already used the mini versions of the fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner and PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator and love the way my skin feels when I use them, so I decided to rebuy in full sizes. The exfoliant has been helping with my skin’s texture and pores, while the toner makes my skin feel smooth and luxurious, which just what I need as the weather gets colder. My thin hair has been looking pretty dull and stringy the past few months, so I decided to try out the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampooto help with buildup, as I’ve heard really good things about this scrub. I also wanted to try out The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Densityto see if it would help my hair look thicker and fuller. Excited to start using these! #cheriepartner
Toner’s battle: Which one Wins?💪
For every skincare product, they have their own different responsibilities. In some people's minds, toners seem to be dispensable commodities. They may think that essence or lotion does a better job of caring for their skin. I am hopeful that this misunderstanding will be rectified here. In fact, the effect of toner lies in cleaning again after facial cleanser, adjusting the skin's natural pH balance, and promoting the skin to better penetrate the follow-up essence or cream. In my skincare routine, I attach importance to the benefits of toner and have tried many products. For dry skin type like me, it's best to choose a nonalcoholic toner. Let me first state that I have dry and a little sensitive skin, then I’d like to introduce some toners I ever used. ▷ Lancome Comforting Rehydrating Toner LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner This toner contains honey and seed almond extract, smell good, and not overwhelming. It’s not all watery, more like a liquid gel, not greasy, and feels great when putting on your face. It is gentle enough and very moisturizing, so my sensitive complexion loves this. My skin becomes softer and more even. ▷ Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner I like using Fresh products but this Fresh toner doesn’t impress me. It smelled great, formulated with rose fruit extract. My cheeks indeed glow but I don't really feel the benefits of nourishing. In addition, the rose petals do clog the nozzle so it can be difficult to pour the product. ▷ Clarins Toning Lotion CLARINS - Toning Lotion with Camomile This toner is also very fragrant, with purifying Chamomile and Linden extracts. Actually, I think it does better in face clean since it can pick up a lot of stuff that the face wash omit. It’s gentle enough to use on the eye area to remove remnants of makeup. It’s mild and effective, and leaves my face clean, refreshing, and nourishing. In addition, it doesn’t leave a residue and doesn’t burn. My sensitive skin becomes less irritated. I'm happy with it. In these three things, I love Lancome toner best because it gives me better experience and results Share with me your thoughts!

GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer Glow Recipe’s Pink Juice Moisturizer is A STAPLE for me. This is my go to moisturizer for the summer especially and then I will use this a serum during the winter months. YOU GOTTA LOVE VERSATILE PRODUCTS, amirite?!! * * * This moisturizer is a brightening, lightweight moisturizer, formulated with watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid, and botanicals to boost radiance and glow. For any skin type and it’s targeting dryness, redness, fine lines, and wrinkles. But when I mean lightweight, like DAMN, this is a lightweight gel, ya feel me. In the bottle, it looks like it would be thick and creamy and sticky, but noooooo!!! As you’ll see in my picture, it’s really lightweight. I love keeping this in my fridge cause it’s the best when it’s coooooling!! * * * I’ve repurchased 3 of these, so yes, you can say I love it or something like that. I’ve used this for at least two years now, and I wanted to originally try it because of the main ingredient- WATERMELON! I’m glad I did, because for $39 (or $21 for the mini), it lasts you quite a while. As a serum I only use 1-2 pumps, and if I wanted to use it as a moisturizer, probably about 4 pumps. My skin always feels glowy AF and super hydrated every time I use this sucker. * * * Now I mentioned the main ingredient is watermelon. This is so unique to me because I think this was the first beauty brand to incorporate watermelon extract, which hydrates the skin while delivering essential vitamins as well as anti inflammatory properties to soothe irritated skin. Hyaluronic Acid is also a key ingredient which hydrates the skin by holding up to 1000x its weight in moisture. This is a must, and since I’ve repurchased it quite a few times, well this deserves 5 stars!!

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream
Loving the newest addition to my stash! The fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer Finally decided to grab this beauty. I tried a sample couple weeks back and loved the way it made my skin look and feel, and could not stop thinking about it. It was just so convenient that I was in need of a new moisturizer too ☺️ ⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀ First of all, the texture of moisturizer is gel-cream. It looks like a cream, but feels and applies like a gel and blends out into a burst of water, absorbing into the skin so beautifully! Just give it a couple minutes after applying, and you won’t even see it bc it’s so lightweight, no greasiness or tackiness left behind, all you’ll see is the glow! From the video you can see a little goes a long way and this is the full size jar that I have, so for it’s price I think it’s a great value that will last me quite a while! That’s one thing I love about gel creams, I’ve noticed that bc of their texture just a dab is more than enough to cover the entire face. This was also a deciding factor for me in purchasing this and precisely why I love it! ⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀ This goodness is definitely a moisture magnet! The ingredients in this work wonderfully to address dryness, dullness and uneven texture. It contains rose water, vitamin E, angelica leaf extract, rose flower oil, hyaluronic acid and hydropatches which create a veil to attract and retain moisture in the skin. So if you’re looking for a deeply hydrating moisturizer that’s lightweight and will actually leave your skin soft and moistureized even after being washed off, then I highly recommend this for you! Definitely a 5/5 ⭐️ product! ⠀⠀

Best toner for sensitive skin!
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner What am I? Ultra Repair toner is a hydrating toner containing wild oat, colloidal oatmeal, and propolis extract to soothe and hydrate the skin. This products target concerns are dryness, fine lines, redness, and uneven skin tone. The toner itself is a very lightweight milky water consistency, and is best to be applied to a cotton pad to sweep over the skin. You don’t need to use a lot as a little goes a long way. This can be used day and night every day of the week. This product was gifted to me by the brand, but I would definitely use my own money to purchase a refill. The brand is “clean” and cruelty free, and they’re an environmentally conscious brand that I feel good supporting. Ive been using this product at least once a day for a little over 2 weeks now and I’m already hooked. This toner feels like such a nice light extra layer of hydration. I have a lot of redness in my skin and the ingredients in this toner really help to soothe my skin and even out my skin tone. It sinks in right away and it doesn’t irritate my skin at all like some toners do. I know I’ll continue to use this well into the winter since I need all the added moisture I can get! I would 100% recommend you go and purchase this toner. It retails for $22 for a 6oz bottle, which is at the lower end of the price range for toners from higher end brands. This toner is affordable, effective, and refreshing. I will buy this again and again!

Caudalie is one of my favorite brands. The Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is my favorite! So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I got to try this set. As I’ve mentioned countless of times, I have dry skin and with that in mind, you can understand the love I have for the Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum. It’s hydrating like no other! My skin has been loving it a lot! The Vinosource Creme is amazing too! My dry skin is a fan! I use these two as part of my PM Routine. The Caudalie Elixir is my first and last step during my AM routine. It will always be part of my skincare.

Products that I will non-stop repurchasing!
I have super dry skin. So I need skincare products that are super hydrating to protect my skin especially in winter. I have tried a lot of stuffs and these two are my favourtes that I will keep repurchasing them for million times. DECORTÉ - Liposome Moisture Serum It's lightweight that won't ball up on face. But it's hydrating enough for dry skin. It can obviously improve your skin since it's so moisturizing. When I use this in winter morning before using makeup products, it's easier for me to make a perfect base makeup that won't be cakey at all. Besides hydration, I don't feel any other effects of this products, neither brightening nor helping with fine lines and wrinkles. But I still love it. It's the saviour for people who have dry skin just like me. belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb It's very good for all skin types to use. It's weightless but hydrating enough. So for oily skin, it won't be sticky and greasy. And for dry skin, it's super moisturizing! It's the best cream moisturizer I have ever used. It's calming when I apply it and after blending it, I can barely feel it on my face. Recommend to anybody!
