About the product: The HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion
contains five types of hyaluronic acid plus urea to lock in moisture and keep skin hydrated longer. It also has a skin pH-balanced formulation contains no fragrances, mineral oils, alcohols and artificial/added coloring. The bottle is a hard plastic. How to use: After cleansing, rub lotion between palms then pat into your face. It can be used morning and night. Best for dry, dehydrated skin. I first tried this product during the week I went to visit be family during the holidays. I went into my sister’s bathroom every day for my trip’s duration to use it. i definitely noticed a difference in my skin. When I got home and knew I had to get it. I have waxed on about my oily skin in plenty of videos and since my skin overproduces oily because it is dehydrated this helps. My skin drinks it up. It doesn’t pill when I do the rest of my skin care so that is a major plus. There are similar other products from this brand that target different concerns. Recommend? Yes!!!! Specs: 5 oz./170 mL for $14.40 on Amazon. Note: Since this product is a J-Beauty brand, the instructions on the bottle are in Japanese.

NikeVikiIt is to show the thickness and clearness of the product. It was just so hard to capture since the lotion is so clear. I added a third photo. Let me know, if you like that one more and I will delete the OG one. Thanks for the feedback! ❤️

New Products!
I’m adding three new products to my routine! Here’s a quick overview- (I will be doing detailed posts about each of these products after I’ve used them for a while.) VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser This cleanser was highly recommended by the skincare community, especially benneiley on Tik Tok! Before this, I was using CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin which I absolutely love, but I wanted to switch things up! The Vanicream cleanser is gentle, while still providing a deep clean. It does provide a nice foam. I am wondering if it’s too cleansing to use twice a day on my dry skin, and if I need to use the Cerave in the morning and Vanicream at night. I will keep y’all updated! HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium LotionThis hyalouronic acid lotion was highly recommend by whatsonvisface (check her out on Tik Tok and IG!). I am currently using PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner , which I love, but again I wanted to switch things up. I haven’t started using this product yet, as I’m not quite out of the PC toner. I’m beyond excited to start using this! It contains 5 different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster I recently went to a check up with my dermatologist, which I will be making a separate post about. One of the changes that we are making is adding azelaic acid to my routine! I already had this product at home, so I will be using it up before switching to prescription strength azelaic acid. It should help with my acne and PIE (post-inflammatory erythema). Do you guys use any of these products? What do you think about them?!

Skincare Alphabet - H is for Hyaluronic Acid
If you haven’t heard of Hyaluronic Acid, you must be living under a rock (no offense to any starfish out there that might be reading this.) Hyaluronic Acid or HA has been all over the skincare world for quite sometime now and you can find this incorporated into almost every imaginable type of skincare product as well as makeup products like foundation and lipstick. HA is naturally occurring in your skin, joints, eyes, etc. and acts somewhat like a sponge. It holds water on your face to not only hydrate but keep it looking plump and fresh. It is a humectant which hydrates by drawing moisture into it from outside sources. Although it is an amazing ingredient, use with caution. Applying HA in the right order, after toner and essence but before moisturizer and oils, will make the HA and it’s effects on your skin last longer. This is especially important in dry, less humid environments. HA draws water and moisture from ANYWHERE including your skin. I live in Southern California where it is beautiful, but can also quite arid. On less humid days, I spray Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray on before I add HA so it grabs the water on the surface of my skin, instead of drawing from within my skin, and then seal it off with an emollient. I like to mix HA into my foundation on days I wants lighter coverage or more of a dewy look, especially when I’m experiencing post retinol flaking and dryness. How do you use your HA?

Klair’s Supple Preparation Toner for Dry Skin
Klair’s Supple Preparation Toner for Dry Skin
This toner is non-irritating and is the most hydrating toner I’ve tried. It balances and maintains the skin’s pH to optimize the absorption of all your other skin products that you apply in your skincare regime. It’s clear and has a really slippery consistency that gives a glowy effect to the face. I never really used toners before this but I feel like it really does tone the skin. I’ve used this toner for a year and a half and here are my thoughts: My Experience I decided to try this because I’ve never used a toner before and thought it might make a difference to my skin. I actually really like this product as it’s moisturizing and feels amazing when I put it on. I think it does a good job of prepping the skin too as I hate putting serums and stuff on my face when it’s dry. I feel like they don't soak in well enough but this makes a huge difference. Overall Thoughts I love this toner and feel like it’d be great for those with any skin type but specific those with dry skin looking for something to give an extra boost of hydration. It’s priced at $22, which is about midway as a price for a toner but the lack of alcohol and good ingredients makes it worth it. dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner

A toner to LOVE
A toner to LOVE
I’m sure you’ve heard of the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner! And if you haven’t, are you living under a rock??! This is a cult FAVORITE with a dedicated following; and for good reason! This toner is so amazing! It is slightly viscous, but not super watery. It has a really lovely herbal/light fresh scent. I’ve gone through one bottle already, and I know I will continue to buy more. This is THE MOST moisturizing toner I’ve ever used! They make an unscented version now as well, but the scented version doesn’t bother me, so I’ll stick with this one. If you have dry skin I would 100% recommend this toner! You can usually find a great deal on this toner. I think I picked my bottle up for $15 on sale!!! Pick this toner up!!! dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner

I swear by this toner and I absolutely adore it

klairs Supple Preparation Tone
klairs Supple Preparation Toner. This is my 3rd empty bottle and I’ve not repurchased only because I’ve too many toners to use up. Thicker viscous consistency, faint herbal scent, insanely hydrating. I love everything about this toner and it is affordable. asistobe Hyaluronic Essential Toner. Loaded with hydrating and soothing ingredients this delivers a boost of hydration to your skin. My wishlist is going to get longer with every new product I discover today, can’t resist a good hydrating toner.

Today I wanted to talk about m
Today I wanted to talk about my absolute favorite product that I’ve been trying over the last few weeks - the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizeris SUCH A DREAM PRODUCT This product is a two-in-one formula that preps your skin like a toner but also moisturizes so make sure you get tons of hydration in just one step. It works super well for me - i have very dry skin and sometimes run into issues with toners as they often dry my skin out, even if they aren’t intended for oily skin. I’ve never had any issues with this - it definitely preps my skin well for any steps I use after, but it also keeps my skin suuuuper soft. You get 5 oz for $33, which is definitely a bit more expensive than a normal toner, but I think it’s fair for something that’s two Good products in one. 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not Worth the Hype: K-Beauty Edition
Not Worth the Hype: K-Beauty Edition
I don’t really “get” the hype around K-Beauty in general, to be honest- the emphasis on hydration is wonderful for drier skin tones but leaves a bit to be desired for my sensitive combo skin since the actives often aren’t as concentrated as in brands like Paula’s Choice. Finding K-Beauty products without fragrance, alcohol, and/or essential oils is surprisingly difficult, so when I had the opportunity to try out LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer through Octoly, I jumped on it. I’ve seen this toner raved about on Instagram by tons of skincare influencers so I was excited to utilize it on nights I use tretinoin, to prevent dryness. I was mainly excited because I had seen it mentioned by @citizenglow on Insta and she has never failed me. But this was... unremarkable. $33 USD gets you a sturdy bottle filled with 150mL (5 fl oz) of toner that claims to moisturize as effectively as a cream. It is a milky white liquid with the thinness of water, with no identifiable scent and a somewhat sticky finish. I legitimately couldn’t and can’t tell a difference when I use this and when I forget to apply it. I used it consistently for two weeks but saw no long-term or short-term results so I just use it here and there on nights I remember to. It’s not a bad toner, it’s just pointless in my opinion and not worth the money despite the large amount of product you get. It also isn’t cruelty-free, which is a bummer. This was definitely a “miss” for me in the Insta Hype Product category.
