Oh the Hydration!
When it says “hydrating,” oh it’s hydrating I tell you! But seriously, I apply this at night, I go to sleep, I wake up in the morning, and my skin is still incredibly soft! My only qualm with this lotion is the fact that it can be a little sticky for a while. GOLD BOND - Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion with Aloe

What does it do? Aloe
Each year, it seems like the beauty industry picks a “key ingredient” to put in hundreds of products so they can give us an excuse as to why they are upcharging us. It’s been collagen, snail mucin, tea tree oil, hyaluronic acid, CBD, argan oil, coconut, matcha, manuka honey, niacinamide, vitamin C, etc., to name a few. (Did you know Morroccan Oil is just expensive argan oil?) I think it is a good idea to know why those key ingredients are worth making it into the product name or at the very least on to the label. So aloe ... What does it do for the skin? Aloe is full of vitamins — specifically vitamins A, B , C, D and E as well as minerals like magnesium, potassium and zinc. All of these contribute to the healing properties of aloe vera. It reduces irritation causing by the sun or by things that naturally irritate your skin. Once applied to the irritated area, it can help repair your skin’s damaged barrier. NATURAL ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER: Aloe vera comes in a multitude of forms on the market: decolorized aloe, aloe latex, aloe water and the “sap-like” gel. From “Why Aloe Vera Is Controversial Right Now, According to Experts“ on allure.com: “Non-decolorized, whole-leaf aloe extract contains a chemical called aloin, which has been shown to cause cancer in rats.” BUT it isn’t shown to be dangerous unless it is consumed. (No evidence was shown that is carcinogenic when applied topically.) In the same article, Perry Romanowski, cosmetic chemist and cofounder of The Beauty Brains, said: "Aloe vera is a safe ingredient to use in skin products. But this is a great reminder that just because an ingredient is natural, does not mean that it is automatically safe and effective." Now let’s talk about the two products I decided to highlight: 🚿The OLAY - Mist Ultimate Hydration Essence Cooling Face Spray comes in a pretty soft plastic bottle. It has aloe leaf, chamomile and vitamin B3 to hydrate and calm “dry and tight skin.” You can apply it before moisturizer and after makeup to set and refresh your skin, as needed. When you spray, hold to 5-10 inches from your face. (Contains niacinamide and glycerin.) MY THOUGHTS: This is one of the products that I put under “YouTube made me buy it.” I first saw this mist on Jackie Aina’s channel and I swiped two different types up. I would not repurchase this product. It is unnecessarily fragranced with a floral-like scent that some people may love. I live in the camp of “fragrance is for perfume not for skin care.” Also, the cap DOES NOT want to stay on the bottle. It comes off so easily. Recommend? No. 🧴GOLD BOND - Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion with Aloe has seven moisturizers and three vitamins to “reveal nourished skin” a deliver 24-hour hydration. MY THOUGHTS: I LOVE THIS LOTION. I’ve used it for more than a year. It hydrates so well. It is my go-to moisturizer to toss in my luggage. It is thick, but absorbs well into the skin. Recommend? YES!
Lift + Firm body creme!
vinosculpt lift and firm body creme enriched with blend of grape polyphenols and firming iris extract which targets to firm, tighten and sculpt 4 key areas of the body. it is. delicately scented with an infusion of orange blossom. it feels so luxurious and so hydrating on the skin and the. whipped texture absorbs instantly. I have been using it for few months and excited to see the longer term results.
the GLOW!!! ✨✨✨
GLAMGLOW - Barbie x Limited Edition Glowstarter Mega-Illuminating Moisturizer First off, I’ve used this product in the shade “nude glow” and LOVED how it looked on my skin alone or under makeup. This Barbie edition came out (same price as original so you’re not just paying for the name) in a beautiful pink so I had to grab it. If you don’t like a thick cream feeling on your face then this is NOT for you. I have combo skin, and this glow moisturizer works wonders on my cheeks no matter the season! In the winter it keeps the moisture locked in my cheeks and in the summer it continues to make me glow. I personally love using it on my “no-makeup makeup” days where I just use concealer on any spots and this moisturizer on my cheeks with a little bit of powder in the t zone. I find this is the most flattering way to wear it and really show off the shine, but it is still very beautiful under foundation - you lose some of the glow but you keep the moisture. Absolutely looooove this moisturizer and find it very underrated. SIDE NOTE: I don’t use this on my t zone at all because I’m oily, so I really keep it to my cheeks or else it is too glossy.

Mario Badescu facial spray aloe+ chamomile +lave
✨My skin type is Dry with a little T-zone action, sensitive, medium in skin tone✨ “Empties” I love facial sprays and this one was a gift from a friend. Mario Badescu’s rose water facial spray as I already mentioned is my fave, this is runner up. It smells amazing, soothing lavender and chamomile notes make for a relaxing refreshing spa like facial spray. The price is affordable and the bottle is a great size. I will be buying more of this and recommend this to anyone who loves the smell of lavender! MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender

🆘 LIFESAVING moisturizer for DRY SKIN! 😍😍
Hey beauty lovers!! 👋🏼 I have an awesome moisturizer for dry skin that is effective and affordable!! Your skin will go from feeling like a desert 🌵 to an ocean 🌊!! SKIN SCRIPT - Hydrating Moisturizer is the PERFECT go to moisturizer!!! Before I dive into it, let’s talk some skin care 101! 👀 ✍🏻 Dry skin is a type and should not be confused with dehydrated skin which is a condition. When you have dry skin, your pores are VERY SMALL and your skin doesn’t product enough oils! ⚠️ Dehydrated skin means your skin is lacking 💧. ‼️ Anytime you have dry skin, you need to use products that are oil based, minus coconut oil, ceramides, and occlusive (thick) products that keep moisture and oil inside your skin! 👍🏻 💙💙 My fav oils are Jojoba and Argan! 💙💙 The brand: If you have never heard of Skin Script, please message me!! This is a professional only company specializing in corrective skin care and products are sold only through licensed Estheticians like myself! 😁 They use natural ingredients and free from the nasty like sulfates and parabens. Best of all, this brand is made for men and women of all color!! 👩🏻🧑🏼👨🏽👩🏾🦱👨🏿🦱💙💙 Why I love this product: This moisturizer has a variety of oils including olive, sunflower, sweet almond and rose hip oil to give your skin the OIL love it needs! 🤗 It has Shea Butter that heals your skin and aloe to soothe. It’s a nice thick moisturizer, but doesn’t feel overwhelming on the skin and blends very easy. ‼️ When to use: Those with dry skin or dehydrated skin will really benefit from this moisturizer due to all the lipids aka good fatty acids that lock and seal moisture inside your skin. If you are oily or ace prone, skip this. 🤦🏻♀️If you have chapped skin that is irritated or itching, this product will really improve the barrier and the difference is noticeable. This is great for psoriasis and eczema too!!! 😍😍 Since this is a thicker moisturizer, I recommend using this at night mainly. If you use this during the day you can mix it with your foundation or just use a smaller amount. Price VS Size: 1.7oz for $23.00!! 🤯🤯🤯 how great of a deal is this?!? If you are interested in purchasing this moisture, please let me know and I can mail it to you! 😍 Xoxo, Blyssey #cheriecreator #skinscript #dryskin #moisturizer #dehydrated skin

Pretty in pink!
The Alpyn Beauty Melt Moisturizer is so beautiful and smells very earthy! It has a very beautiful pink tint to it. I enjoy this moisturizer but it is not my favorite. It is very thick, and sometimes leaves a dry egg feeling on my face. Which is a no for me. I have very dry and sensitive skin so I though it would be perfect for me! I ended up giving it to my mom who has combo skin and she loved it! She likes it so much that I bought her a new one for her birthday! It is a beautiful skincare line, and I absolutely love the little meanings behind some of their products. For example the pink color of their products is meant to mimic the alpynglow!

NOT WORTH THE HYPE 😑
✨your follows and cheers mean so much 💛✨ I’m so confused by this product, I recently purchased it and as you can see from the photo there are no sunscreen claims on the bottle. Which is confusing because on the Sephora website it said it is SPF 15 but I’ve seen other bottles with the SPF claim on it. I was also under the impression that FDA requires you to list it on the bottle ??? No where on the bottle or box does it say it’s SPF. It has zinc oxide in the ingredients, but doesn’t list its effectiveness ? Maybe I’m missing something ? I was really hoping to find a great moisturizer with broad spectrum SPF, this is something that is missing in my routine and would love recommendations if you have any. Here’s my review on the ALGENIST - ALIVE Prebiotic Balancing Moisturizer SPF 15 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| Meh, left skin feeling greasy and shiny. Didn’t find it ‘hydrating’ or ‘balancing’ 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| for a moisturizer I was shocked how close the consistency to regular sunscreen it was. This moisturizer when on thick and white and took FOREVER to soak in and even when it did my skin just looks SO oily for the rest of the night. 👃🏻|SCENT| the products was unscented 💦 |INGREDIENTS| this product is free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. And is also Vegan. Contains algae prebiotic which helps re balance the skins natural ecosystem (prebiotics are the food probiotics thrive on to be more effective) 💸 |VALUE| this bottle was $53 for 50ml. Which is a total pass for me, way to much money for something that doesn’t deliver. I’m all for paying the price for good sunscreen/ moisturizers but this was not one of them. Womp womp.
