HELP I’ve tried everything!

I’ve been trying to take extra care of my skin for the past 4 months but nothing seems to be working. Morning routine: CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide Night routine: THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil Every few nights, I alternate between Paula’s Choice 2% BHA exfoliant and the CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol in place of The Ordinary Niacinamide. In addition to this routine, I wash my pillow case every week, eat relatively healthy, and don’t wear any makeup. I also use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutiononce a week for 10 minutes. I have acne-prone combination skin. My struggles are acne scars and bumps/texture on my cheeks. I’d especially like to know how to get rid of the bumps and what’s causing them. I also recently abstained from my actives for 2 weeks in hopes of my skin clearing up but that obviously didn’t work. I’ve been using my CeraVe products for almost 2 years. My skin only started breaking out more once I incorporated more products little by little. I don’t think this is considered purging because this has been going on for 3 months. I also don’t think this is maskne because I rarely leave my house. PLS HELP! I feel like I’ve done all I can. I can’t even see a dermatologist because I don’t have insurance. #help #helpmyskin

NathaliePatajoI’m glad I’m not the only one struggling! So far, I’ve eliminated The Ordinary niacinamide and SA lotion and my skin seems to be calming down a bit. Too much of those ingredients can be bad. I’ll be sure to post an update!

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. Holy grail of Salicylic acid/LHA washes
I’ll get straight to the point: $15 and I’ve still been on the same bottle for nearly two months. When a skin guru says to use a “dime size,” yes, it’s tempting to make its waaaaaay more than that. But imo, with this wash, less is truly better. This La Roche Posay cleanser is a 6.8oz bottle. If you’re researching this specific product, odds are you have tried or want to try CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinbut can’t find it in stock anywhere (thanks Hyram lol). Sure, Cerave has more product for around $9. But notice that there’s no percentage of salicylic acid listed on it? Products containing 0.5% or greater of SA are required to list this on their packaging (in the U.S. at least). That combined with the fact that SA is over half way down in the ingredient list, we can assume the product is greatly diluted and not as effective of a SA compared to La Roche Posay. This is not something to use as a first step if you have make up on already. I prefer to use it as a second step in a double cleanser with my THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil. Being gel based, it does have a light foaming effect to it. I massage into the skin for about 1 minutes then rinse. Follow with your preferred moisturizer (nothing with SA so you don’t double medicate!) then SPF (if it’s daytime). Awesome Face Oil for Combination Skin!
What’s the first thing we think of when it comes to hydration? Water, Squalene, Essence...and a whole bunch of other things. But what about oil? I recently ran out of my DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum and I figured it was time to get my third bottle. The ingredients in the bottle help with removing dead skin cells, dryness, and help cell turn over. Little did I ask myself WHY my skin had dry patches and why the dry skin kept coming back. Like everyone else, I thought dry is dry, I’ll always have this and it’s normal. Then, I got breakouts from makeup and had to deal with additional problems. Little did I understand, I was only solving the symptoms and not the root of the problem. BUT THEN I DISCOVERED OILS! After using SUNDAY RILEY - Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil not only was I able to go without a moisturizer for two days(which is a lot for me), I was able to see my skin really improve over a weeks time! I didn’t have any dry patches and oddly enough, my redness on my cheeks weren’t as prominent! I don’t usually mind the redness because it gives me a natural “blush”. However, having less red cheeks means less time to spend on doing makeup, so it’s an added plus! I was wondering why this stuff worked so well. This blend has a mixture of oleic acid and linoleic acids, perfect for hydrating the parts of my skin that were dry and my acne-prone areas. Dry skin needs Oleic Acids and Oily skin needs Linoleic Acid. I opted for something that has both, because Acne/Combination skin needs a little bit of each oil. For the past two weeks, I have only used this oil or another face oil with TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream and have seen AWESOME improvement in my acne scarring and NO DRY PATCHES! I can even go without moisturizer for two days! If this oil is a bit spendy, I would also reccommend trying pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil ! More on this oil in a later post!

Are you ready for fall?🕯🍂
I love rosehip seed oil, especially when the weather starts to change. It gives me a warm glowing feeling inside and out! pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil Many people massage this into their face twice a day. I do this only at night before bed a few times a week for a boost. I use gentle massaging techniques from acupressure courses I have taken in the past. The idea is to move fluid from the center of your face and flow everything downwards. I can do a video tutorial on this later. I just purchased a Gua Sha and Jade Roller, so on the days where you are too lazy for a proper massage, there are great for working the oil into your skin! The Benefits of Rosehip Seed Oil Brightens dull acne prone skin Natural fatty acids moisturize Vitamin A and C help fine lines and wrinkles All of the natural fatty acids and vitamins help fight scars, (a Maskne recovery necessity! ) Astringent properties help tighten pores and brighten up skin Evens out skin tone and helps with hyperpigmentation Helps with elasticity and tightens skin If you don't have acne prone skin, and your skin is dry and flakey, mixing this with baking soda makes a wonderful exfoliating Facewash that doesn't dry out your skin. Although this is a fine product to use as a moisturizer for acne, if you use it as a cleanser you may find it doesn't clean out as much sebum as you need it to and it won't help prevent breakouts. It is amazing for dry skin that is not prone to acne though! If you are into natural skincare this is a clean and pure ingredient anyone needs in their routine💖✨

So I thought I would do a skin update. All the products I’ve been using have been tagged in the first photo. I’ve started this new regime a while back when my acne got really bad after I tried oil cleansing. And it’s been a long and difficult road since then and I noticed my skins needs have changed a little bit so I decided to update my routine. I have combination skin and the skin on my forehead is really dry and so is the area around my mouth but my nose and my cheeks are super oily. So I’ve decided to start usingThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5to help combat this as well as The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilto further hydrate my skin. I also need a new sunscreen because I wasn’t a fan of the Neutrogena ultra sheer. The sunscreen would take a really long time to rub it in and if I got the sunscreen on my eyebrows or any of my hair it would turn white and flake, which wasn’t fun. So I’ve decided to try the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. I’ve also started icing my face recently and I’ve noticed that it helps reduce inflammation from acne. And I’ve also noticed that my facial features have become a little bit more defined but only when I ice my face consistently. While I don’t have much acne around my cheeks anymore, i’ve noticed that I keep getting acne in my upper lip area in the same spots. Although I still don’t know exactly what’s causing this acne I did read that certain toothpaste can contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which can clog pores if you get toothpaste on your skin. So I’ve become hyper aware of toothpaste getting on my skin when I brush my teeth now but I haven’t been paying attention long enough to notice a difference yet. And because of the consistent acne around my lips I have hyper pigmentation and that area is kind of getting dark now. I’m using vitamin C and Azelic acid to treat the hyper pigmentation but I’m not seeing results as fast as I would like. Does anyone know of a way to get faster results or how to treat it more effectively?

My 2020 Top 5 💄🍒
PRODUCT : YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Refill Youth To The People's Superfoods Cleanser was shockingly reviving, and not in any manner drying, as I'd foreseen because of a portion of the fixings. What I delighted in about the item the most, both due to and notwithstanding of its value point, was its capacity to truly last. I found the jug endured me a while, and a limited quantity makes a significant decent frothy foam when applied to effectively clammy skin. TREND : CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide I’m loving this sunscreen with tinted texture 😍 MY BEST LOOK : i love natural look bc I don’t put makeup on everyday I love to be natural sunscreen on and moisturizer and that’s it . Cheek Acne
This is really hard to post, but my skin was beautiful in the beginning of this year (first collage pic). didnt have a flaw on it practically. around summer time i began noticing closed comedones all over my cheeks. i have dermatillomania and tried to get them out but obviously it didn’t do anything but make my skin worse. what the tipping point was, i used a face shaver and i did this multiple times and ruined my cheeks. i thought it would help...no, not at all. my skin got worse, and worse, and worse. september was the worst my skin has ever been and i’ve never felt so insecure (2nd collage pics). the past few months i’ve been using CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser and i think it’s really helped. the horrible horrible chin acne has died down, and things are just left as scars now. i use this morning and night along with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin these two have also helped a lot for what i believe is just the “congestion”. at night i do the same thing but add The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA and The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil for my scars, because i’ve read it really helps brighten and decrease the appearance—which i think it has. once a week i use the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution i’m beginning to worry i have too many things going on and that’s why the progress is so slow. i’m also on the hunt for a new sunscreen because i was using CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide and i HATE it—the white cast is awful and it makes me feel sticky. i thought this was a good routine but i’m beginning to get concerned. i switched my cleanser from the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser because i was seeing no progress at all and thought i needed something with a bit more strength. does anyone have any suggestions? i’ve gotten better about not picking, but some days it’s very hard and i’ve lose a lot of confidence this year due to my acne. i’ve also been on 100 mg of Spironolactone for 3-4 years now, but in september i upped it to 150 because of how bad my skin got. i do my best to not eat any dairy and i’ve worked on having a better diet, to really flush my system, but i don’t know what’s right or wrong for me anymore.

Hey beauties! Just here to touch base again and show you guys how my skin has been doing. As I stated in my last post I did have a little flare up and didn’t know what was causing it since so many things had changed. (I added new products, that time of the month, and I stopped my doxycycline) I am still faithfully using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin as my one and only cleanser and I truly love it! Still leaves my face feeling clean without that dry feeling. My The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% bottle fell and broke😭 so I have to purchase another one. But I have not been using for the past week so I wanted to keep it transparent with yall! I decided to treat myself to a facial (thanks to my bf for getting it for me 🥰) the medical dermatologist first did some dermaplaning, which is the concept of using a sharp blade to remove peach fuzz, hair, and the top layer of dead cells. It is always advised to have a professional do such procedure because you can cut yourself or spread bacteria. She did a few extractions and followed with an almond cherry mask that smelt like a cherry now and later. She recommended I use an exfoliant after I told her my regimen and recommended ZO SKIN HEALTH - Exfoliating Polish every other day starting tomorrow. I will keep posting weekly updates to show you how its working out! After a week of adding a few new things to my skin regimen I see some new break out and have actually stopped using the CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 because I feel it is causing me some irritation and with adding CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum I feel like it may have been too many new products at a time. I will keep you guys updated on my skin and how it continues to adjust. Help me 😭😭 PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ!!!
I have been on a journey with my skin this year. In my recent post you can see my skin was clear and nice and I was using Clean&Clear - CONTINUOUS CONTROL® Acne Cleanser and I rarely had break outs. Is it really that bad? I mean it kept my skin clear. I started using what they called better for skin like CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser and then I switched to the hydrating one and still got break outs. Then I switched to LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel which claimed my skin down. Then it started getting bad again and I switched to YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Cleanser + Cream Youth Duo Mini last week and it’s okay I haven’t used it long enough to see if it works for me. But I need tips on if I should go back to my clean and clear or if Should just keep waiting. I haven’t been eating as healthy as I was so idk if that plays a factor. Someone please help because it’s really putting my confidence down . :((

Lost my teenage and 20s to acne
I have been working since forever to make my skin healthy. I had so many treatments. Finally, a dermatologist with chemical peels and years of consistent skincare had lead me to these results; These are nowhere near half the results i have expected. I still cannot take a picture without a filter. I still have very large pores, which i am working on. I am currently using the following to reduce the visibility of my pores: It’s been a few weeks but I have started to see a little bit of visible shrinking🤣 CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser My pores have started to look very smaller as compared.

HELP!!
HELP!!
My current skincare routine consists of CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser, then up&up - Deep Cleaning Pore Treatment at night, then Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil, and finishing it off at CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin. I want to add The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%into my routine but I'm not sure where it fits in or how to apply the product. I am new to serums like that. Any recommendations? All and any input is wanted!! Thank you.

Needing a cheap but effective cleanser? ✨✨
Okay, so i have spent years upon years trying to find the best combination of skin care that reduces my oily skin and calms acne. I spent literally hundreds of dollars and went through dozens of products with truly nothing giving me the results i wanted. everything from drugstore to high end and i had the same results. I decided to strip it right back to a basic, fragrance free, cult cleanser. for such a well priced cleanser i didn’t expect much to be honest but wow in combination with the daily lotion and niacinamide (the ordinary) i am blown away by such a cost effective and simple routine. my acne is by no means completely gone (hence the 4 stars at the moment) but i honestly feel this is such a staple product that anyone with oily skin should try The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin

review my skin routine (dry/eczema prone skin) ✨
step 1. CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin Best face wash for dry/eczema prone skin, recommended to me by very single doctor, dermatologist and skincare specialist step 2. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is formulated to help with hyperpigmentation (which i have loads of due to my pesky skin picking habit). isn’t abrasive or burning towards the skin. step 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% has helped a lot with my acne scares, but hasn’t really helped with my large pores. step 4. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin HOLY GRAIL FOR DRY SKIN. really lightweight and absorbing makes my skin soft and has helped my dry skin. step 5. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100 this is a pretty basic sunscreen i haven’t been going out in the sun too much so i don’t know if it’s working but it has lightened some of my acne scares/prevented them. i’m looking for batter one but this is the only one i have extras: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has legit made it so my skin doesn’t get massive pimples or breakouts anymore. burns the first time but it’s nothing i couldn’t handle and i have pretty sensitive skin. sometimes i use this as a spot treatment for 10 min. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil i use this when my skin feel really dry and it always softens the texture of my face. can be used for double cleansing or oil cleansing which really gets rid of sebum in the pores

• I have been following this skincare routine for roughly a month or so.. I have Normal/Combo skin, and so far, I haven’t been seeing many noticeable changes on my skin. I struggle with small white bumps on my face, uneven skin tone, as well as hyperpigmentation. I did lots of research about skincare prior to purchasing these products, and I was recommended these products based on my skin type + struggles. • step 1.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying I use this product every night to take off makeup and/or sunscreen. The bottle says to use a cotton pad, but I use my hands because I am trying to be more environmentally conscious. • step 2CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I heard good things about this cleanser from the Youtuber Skincare By Hyram. I also heard it worked excellently for other people, so I gave it a try. It’s been working pretty well for me so far. I cleanse every morning + night. • step 3 The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I struggle with dark spots (hyperpigmentation.) I heard this product is supposed to help brighten + fade dark spots, so I ordered it. I’ve been using it for roughly a month now, and I’m still not seeing results. I’m not gonna give up on the product, though. I use this every morning + night. • step 4The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Okay, I’m just gonna come clean and say that the only reason I bought this product is because Skincare By Hyram recommended it. But I ended up finding out it works well with The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. I use this product every night. • step 5CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I heard this product was good, and everyone needs a good moisturizer in their life! I have nothing bad to say about it, its lightweight, and a go-to for me! I use this product every morning + night. • step 6Neutrogena - UltraSheer Face Sunscreen SPF 60I’ve heard good & bad things about this sunscreen. But so far, I dislike it. It feels heavy on my skin and it leaves a HUGE white-cast. It also doesn’t even dry on my skin. I kinda feel like its contributing to my acne because its so thick. I use this product every single morning. • Please criticize my routine, or tell me why it isn’t working all that well on my skin. Also, if you have any product recommendations for me, please, do tell!
