Nighttime Routine and Skin Journey

Hey everyone! Just wanted to talk about my routine at the moment and my skincare journey. I started having acne my sophomore year of college and it became exponentially worse. After trying numerous prescribed and over the counter creams, gels, and pills, I started on Accutane. I was on this HORRIBLE prescription for about 8 months and experienced terrible symptoms. My acne cleared and dark spots diminished. During this time, and some time after, I was using Cerave face wash and cream twice a day. The cream would often burn upon application due to the sad state of my dehydrated skin When I started to move for work (multiple places with various climates) my acne came back about 80% full force. I tried more creams and purchased the Clarisonic cleansing brush which made my acne worse. At this point, I’m 193730% done with ingesting chemicals and smearing them on my face. I’ve transitioned to all natural/Vegan products and noticed a huge difference: my skin is no longer dry/tight and it feels healthier. This being said, I still have the majority of my breakouts. The three pictures after my products were taken a week(ish) ago and the last picture was when I had next to no acne (post accutane and pre work travel). After using all natural/low waste products by Meow Meow Tweet (a brand I love) I’m looking to mix it up again (with other low waste/ethical/all natural brands and products). Recently my night time routine is the following Face wash: raw honey (wet face and apply about 1 tsp of honey and rub into face like you would any other face wash then rinse) meow meow tweet - GERANIUM PALMAROSA Face Toner
I like this product: the smell is nice, it’s refreshing, and I think its helped my skin some. I don’t know that I’m obsessed, I’m definitely open to other toners. meow meow tweet - JUNIPER CARROT SEED face oil
I actually do LOVE this product. It’s super moisturizing and has most definitely played a role in fixing my dry skin to feel more nourished and healthy. It leaves a nice glow and isnt greasy or sticky. Absorbs really well and has a wonderful smell. AMAZING. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask
honestly, I don’t get the hype over this product. It makes me break out and I’ve tried to give it a month+ to see if there is something more to be gained from this product. It has a nice smell and luxurious texture. One of the reasons I keep it in my routine is because of its vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, among other wonderful things, I don’t get from my other products meow meow tweet - SPOT SERUM
LOVE. This product is awesome. It works great for my cystic acne. The downside is it doesn’t do much for my smaller pimples or blackhead/whiteheads. It also runs out fairly quickly for the price. Let me know what products work for you!

Must have at Sephora! With it, stay up late without fear!🥰🥰
Would you like to hang out in Sephora and Ulta just like me? It's not about buying anything. But every time I go, there will be some new products or promotions. After you buy it, you will find the occasional "trophy" really useful. I am a typical oily skin, so I often go to Sephora to see what products are suitable for me. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask $48 This is a mask that Sephora staff recommended to me. It is hard to find in other places and is a relatively niche brand. Its brand was established in 2015, which is Youth To the People. Its custom formulations blend nutrient-dense premium super foods with clinical, pro-grade vegan actives, pushing the boundaries of efficacy and environmental consciousness, for the benefit of our skin's health. It is an overnight mask with Vitamin C as its main functional component. In other words, the main function of this product is to moisturize and brighten skin color. This mask is used for smearing. Its most prominent feature is that it can thoroughly hydrates, plumps, and brightens with THD ascorbate (vitamin C), antioxidant-rich superberries, squalane, and hyaluronic acid. Therefore, the skin problems it can solve are Dryness, Dullness, Uneven Texture, Fine lines and wrinkles. I like this product very much, because my skin has been allergic or has pimples after using this mask. But the most valuable thing about this facial mask is that it contains Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid. These can mimic your skin's natural oils to boost skin hydration without the risk of clogged pores. So even if you have oily skin like me, then I It is also recommended that you can use this mask. I usually take this product as the last step of skin care before going to bed. Apply a layer evenly on your face. The next day, my skin will become translucent and white, no matter how late I stayed up late the day before.
🍁This Orchid Oil is carrying my skin into fall
Let me start by saying that I am OBSESSED with this Orchid oil by Herbivore! 😍 It’s probably the real reason why I started adding it into all my products before fall even started 😅 I have dry/combo skin with bouts of eczema, so I have to keep it hydrated at all times no matter the season! 💧 I’ve found that this lightweight oil packs a mighty punch, and I only need to add one or two drops to balance out the moisture in my skin. And it smells amazing! 🌸 FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This moisturizer by Farmacy has been my summer moisturizer for 2020. While I love the smell and creamy gel texture, the hydration left much to be desired most days. I found out that that’s because it’s formulated for oily skin! Once I started adding Orchid oil it has been a killer combo and I’m very sad that I’m almost out of product! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask This overnight mask by YTTP is already extremely nourishing to the skin, and can stand alone. However, since my skin tends to be on the dry side and I do use a central heating system in colder months, it doesn’t hurt to up the hydration! One drop of orchid oil should be enough for those with very dry skin. Have you tried these products?

3 Best Face Masks for Blemish-Prone Skin
3 Best Face Masks for Blemish-Prone Skin   For years I have struggled with my acne and searched for the right skin-care products. For so long, I thought I needed to strip my oily-skin of all oils, thinking these were the root of my acne. After plenty of research, I learned that you have to give your skin oils and hydration. If you attempt to dry it out, you will only be left with increased oil production in your pores. The best masks I have found over the years are: ·       High-quality ·       Made of natural ingredients ·       Clarifying for combination skin-types ·       Ideal for acne-prone skin ·       Wonderful for brightening and cleaning skin My three favorite masks of all time (and my best kept secrets!) are: Blue Tansy Mask – Used in combination with Herbivore’s Lapis Oil (also made of blue tansy flower) this line of blue tansy products is made specifically to combat acne – With flower power! Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask
HERBIVORE-Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask
The FARMACY - BEE CLEAN is extremely gentle— like the title suggests. It smells incredible but the smell is quite strong so maybe stay away if you’re sensitive to fragrance. It leaves your skin so hydrated and doesn’t ever strip your skin. It’s formulated without any harsh ingredients so it’s amazing for anyone with sensitive skin who don’t mind fragrance. The FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum is the BEST product I’ve used hands down. It burns a little but I’m not new to exfoliation so it was bearable and went away after a while. Waking up after using this— I was blown away. All my small pimples were gone. My skin looked so clear and was glowing. The product is not cheap. I first tried it when I got it in a boxycharm but after using it, I knew I had to repurchase. I ended up buying the set with the cleanser, oil and serum and it was $86 CAD for the set, which is a good deal because the serum itself is $77 CAD. This is one of those products that I will keep repurchasing because it works so well on my skin. I highly highly recommend. The FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is an amazing mask if your skin feels dry and irritated. I’ve never used a mask like this. It warms up as you rub it in which feels really soothing. As you rub it in, it turns into a creamy white consistency. The morning after using this, my skin is so hydrated and so moisturized, it feels incredibly soft. I have only used this mask two times now so I have yet to see what it does for my skin long-term. The FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil once again, this smells incredible! The consistency is very thick and it feels like you’re putting raw honey on your face. Again, PERFECT for people with dry, sensitive skin. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it can get very sticky. I save this oil for when I feel my skin needs the hydration but it becomes too much on a daily. The SKINFOOD - Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off is the only product that isn’t from Farmacy. Anyone who really loves skincare has to try Korean skincare! This product is from skinfood, a Korean brand. I can only give a first impression on this product because I’ve only used it once. This is a physical exfoliant, which I don’t use often as I prefer chemical exfoliation. This is great for people who prefer a physical exfoliation because it’s very gentle and will not irritate your skin. It smells heavenly and leaves your skin nice and hydrated. Not to mention, the packaging is so cute and part of the reason I purchased the product. Honey is one of the best natural ingredients for your skin. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial properties and super hydrating, making it extremely beneficial for your skin. I really encourage anyone who wants to incorporate honey into their skincare.
Youth To The People Power Duo
Youth To The People Power Duo
I have been testing out this Superberry duo for a few weeks now and I am ready to share my experiences! Let’s get into it! 👇🏻 Oil Claims 🍐 Hydrate and lock in moisture 🍐 Illuminate and revive dehydrated skin Price - $58 for 1 oz. The Good Stuff 🍊 Prickly Pear contains a high amount of vitamin E, and is also a great hydrating ingredient 🍊 Maqui, açai, and goji combine to create an antioxidant elixir that helps protect your skin from environmental aggressors and free-radical damage 🍊 Sunflower and Jojoba Seed Oils hydrate the skin and are packed with fatty acids and antioxidants Sleeping Mask Claims 🍐 Hydrate, plump, and brighten dry, dull skin Price - $63 for 2 oz. The Good Stuff 🍊 THD Ascorbate, the most stable form of vitamin C, firms and brightens skin 🍊 Squalane and hyaluronic acid hydrate without clogging pores 🍊 Superberry mixture of goji, açai, and maqui provide antioxidant protection 🍊 Prickly Pear is a great source of vitamin E and a wonderful hydrator —————— I used this duo 5 nights a week for 2 weeks, applying the lightweight oil first then the sleeping mask. When I applied the oil, my skin did feel nice and hydrated. Though the glow wasn’t as bright as I thought it would be. No big deal, I still looked cute. 💁🏼‍♀️ The sleeping mask is super thick, but it absorbed quite nicely. I enjoyed the fruity scent of these products too. Each morning after using this super duo I woke up with bright, firm, and happy skin! I noticed my face looks a bit more plump and bright with repeated use, and my skin looks surprisingly clear. My oily and acne-prone skin handled a facial oil well, though I only used about 3 drops a night. The brand uses glass packaging so when the jars are empty they can be recycled! ♻️ I do wish the sleeping mask came with a spatula, but I guess I could always use a clean one that I already have. The dropper for the oil doesn’t hold the oil very well because it isn’t thick, so just make sure you don’t hold the dropper over the counter or you could lose a few drops of product. 😱 Overall I really enjoyed these products together, and I think I might try mixing the oil in with the sleeping mask to see if I get different results. Happy Tuesday everyone!

I got most of these babies fro
I got most of these babies from a Sephora Favorites set a while ago but haven't tried everything yet. I decided to finally try the Skin Laundry cleanser last night followed by the Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial (on spots only) and the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil which felt really good surprisingly! Keep reading if you wanna know my first impressions 💜 . 🍡 The cleanser from Skin Laundry is a clear gel with a nice fresh scent that bubbled easily. Left my skin very soft and smooth, and not dry at all! This combo of nice scent + lathers + non-stripping is what I look for in a (second) cleanser first and foremost and this one passed with flying colors 🙃 But I won't be purchasing the full size yet as I have too many cleansers atm haha, I'm sure a lot of you can relate 😆 . 🍡 The Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial has 25% AHA and 2% BHA which is a little intimidating to me 😂 so I used it on my pimples only for the first time. It stinged a little stronger on broken skin (where I had popped a pimple) but nothing too painful. I let it sit for 20 minutes and washed off, after which my breakouts were a little less inflamed, with the big whitehead on my temple flatter! 😆 Not a huge difference, but I definitely need to try it all over my face next time to hopefully see results in appearance of pores. . 🍡 The Drunkelephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil was an amazing surprise in how it made my skin feel! It wasn't oily at all for me but super soothing, nourishing and moisturizing, kinda like a rich serum? Not heavy, suffocating, or with a greasy film that some oil products can feel. Scentless like the Sukari. Just wish the sample was bigger! The pump is just so tiny 😭 . OTHER PRODUCTS: 💛 sol de janeiro Bum Bum cream (already repurchased the bigger size!! Smells soooo good and it's really moisturizing for everyday) 💚 tata harper skincare Restorative Moisturizer (felt nice on the skin but sadly I can't stand the smell!! Idk what it smells like but ugh, nope 😷) 💙 herbivore botanicals Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask (Made my skin brighter and calmer; love the herbal scent!)

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask- I
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask- I like to use this as an overnight mask and wash off in the morning Acure Blue Tansy Night Oil- maybe my favorite night oil of all time? I love everything about this from the texture to how it makes my skin feel. It’s a powerhouse and affordable! Sunday Riley Tidal Cream- I enjoy this cream. It’s supposed to hydrate and help fade dark spots. I haven’t reached for it enough to share my thoughts. ▫️ Rosen Tingling Mud Mask- I don’t generally have acne prone skin but I love the tingle of this mask and would recommend Rosen for anyone who is trying to find products to help clear breakouts and keep them at bay. Complex Beauty Pout Protector Lip Mask- This is a thicker lip oil that I like to spread on my lips before bed. I have been applying a balm on top to really lock in the mask. I live the vanilla tones!

Some first impressions on the
Some first impressions on the Ohio Beauty Before + After Vitamin C Mask 🍊 — Vitamin C has been a crucial part of my routine for a long time, so naturally I was really excited to receive this in the mail this morning 🤗 This mask looks like a gel but feels like a thick oil when applied. It spreads really well so you only need like one or two pumps at most. What’s on my hand is one full pump. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and wash off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Vitamin C is great for brightening the skin, which is why I like it for my acne scars. Other ingredients in the mask are cucumber seed oil and rosehip oil. Both are very hydrating and soothing. Rosehip oil is also good for scarring 👌🏼 honestly ohii is never a let down!
