Two kinds of YSL Blur Primer. Which is worthy?
Naomi_
I’ve got two primers from Yves Saint Laurent beauty that want to share with you gals. I bought the perfector a year earlier than the primer. At first, I was struggling with if I should buy this primer or not. As looking at the name of these two products, they look exactly the same. Finally, I'm so glad I bought it. How they performed and how they work are different.
Touche Eclat Blur Perfector
I have to admit that I bought this product because of its package. It looks so high-end and has YSL beauty iconic features. And, it was a new launched product at that time. I'd like to try new stuff. But this is definitely not a worthy try. As a blur perfector, it could barely cover my pores. The texture is creamy, but it's so hard to take it off by puff (kinda like wax) It’s around $50 (can’t remember the exact number). A waste of money.
Touche Eclat Blur Primer
$52
I’ve tried this primer in-store in Bloomingdales. I was attracted by it's gel texture and how amazing I blended it. It's a non-greasy lightweight primer that really does what it claims - blurs, and goes on smoothly and beautifully onto my skin. I have large pores on my nose side and oily T-zone. This primer helps to cover my skin flaws without making my foundation look greasy or cakey.
The primer is formulated with gold specks, which makes it looks quite exquisite. I like it! When you apply the primer, the gold specks will disappear under the foundation. I also like the scent of this primer. It smells so good. It’s a high-class floral scent. Though it's $52, which is pricy, it is worth every penny.

2 Minute Makeup! ⏱
Yesterday I was running late for work and needed to do my makeup as quickly as possible. So, I cut down my normally ten minute routine to two minutes (yeah I timed it!) using four products.
Here’s what I did:
-Primed my skin using YSL’s Touché Eclat Blur Primer.
-Applied the matte end of Wander Beauty’s Dualist Matt and Illuminating Concealer under my eyes only.
-Applied Thrive Causemetics’ Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara.
-Applied Sephora Collection’s Color Enhancing Lip Oil
-Got on my first Zoom call.
Honestly, the YSL primer is so great for me I barely need anything else when I use it. I think I still ended up looking pretty cute, just two minutes later! 🥰

Highlighter - This or That: Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder V.S M.A.C Extra Dimension Skinfinish
I would like to talk about two products from my highlighter collection today, which are Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight 01, and M.A.C Extra Dimension Skinfinish Double Gleam. Both of them are my favourite but can creates different look. So you can check this post and find out which is more suitable for you.
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight 01
This one is quite special as it says it’s matte as a highlighter, and it is also a very popular product recommended by many YouTubers, so I got one to try what exactly it is.So you can see it’s actually a compact which gives very large amount of powder so it’s quite cost-effective. I would say the texture is good. It’s smooth, not chunky. But because it’s baked powder, it’s still kind of dusty. It has a golden, yellowish colour, and works well especially for yellow skin tone. And the finish is not a totally matte (of course, it’s a highlighter!). It’s kind of a pure sheen with no visible shimmer, and gives you a very natural and radiant look. Most of the time I use it for my whole face and it won’t make my face looks oily and it’s perfect for daily use.
M.A.C Extra Dimension Skinfinish Double Gleam
This is also a very popular one and recommended a lot. And it’s very different from the Laura Mercier’s one.I bought the shade called Double Gleam, which I think is the best colour of this series. It has a light, quite pale golden shade, which is nice for both porcelain and yellow undertone skin. When I swatch it on my arm, the texture feels very smooth and pigmented. And it doesn’t have big glitters and won’t accentuate your pores. When you apply it on your face it reflects the light from different angles and gives you a very beautiful and shimmery look. I would pick this highlighter for party and any occasions that I want a intense look.So I love both of them but just use different products to create different looks.
I would recommend Laura Mercier’s highlighter if you are a student or you prefer a natural look, and if you like more shiny and eye-catching finish, M.A.C’s highlighter is your must-have.

inclusive foundation brand!
so i decided to try juvias place after seeing how many different shades they carry. i have a very weird skin color myself and am very pale, so i was looking for something that wouldnt turn me orange like other foundations do. plus, this foundation has a huge range for darker skin tones too, and i think its really great they include women of all skin colors!
when i first received it, i though the bottle was a little small. but once i put it on my face, i realized a little goes a VERY long way and its VERY high coverage. (this is why i may look a little cakey in the picture, as i didn’t know it would spread so far!) and guess what? i dont look orange!
i really like this foundation. its very blendable and matches my skin very well. dont mind how big my pores are in the picture, they always look like that no matter the foundation, so its not the foundation’s fault. i only have one complaint- its not very matte. i actually look a little oily even though i just put it on! but, otherwise, its a very high quality foundation!

MAC VS. LM 💎Highlighter for Glow Skin
Hi! Today I'd like to compare 2 highlighters head to head and give you my thoughts!!!
MAC - Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter
Shade: Beaming Blush
My Mac Beaming Blush Extra Dimension highlighter broke😫😫, so I pressed the pieces back into the case myself. It's a light pink base with warm undertones and a gold shimmer, like a mermaid shade, which comes off too pink to be used as a highlighter, so I occasionally use it as an eyeshadow. One case can last me for a long time.
laura mercier - Matte Radiance Baked Powder Compact
The highlighter is my favorite. Its fine pearlescent powder brings a flawless glow to your face and it's very durable. It leaves you with flecks of highlighter all over your face but to an acceptable extent. It results in natural makeup and it doesn't leave a white cast. The delicate pearlescent tone doesn't emphasize pores when I use a brush to apply my highlighter, and when I tried using a beauty blender recently, I found the results to be even more natural and appealing, as if the highlighter has blended into the skin. Everyone should give it a try.

does it pass the primer test??
This primer is great for holding your makeup and helping your skin look smoother, but pores are a different story.
Claims: perfecting, smoothing effect, (for all skin types)
My thoughts: This primer does smooth out my skin and helps hold my makeup for most of the day. You can still see my pores (although not very large, they become a lot smaller with this on). This primer isn’t cheap, the full size coming up to $42, but I have the mini ($20) and I still have a bunch of product! I will say that this can make your skin feel dry, so beware!! It has a very odd texture. Overall it isn’t my favorite primer, especially for the price, but it does work well on most of its claims, so it’s 50 good/50 bad for me.

I am pretty satisfied with the coverage.

Fenty Beauty 150 = my perfect foundation shade
I am very into hydrating formulas these days and this is one of my favorites - especially considering I wasn’t a fan of Fenty’s OG foundation. This one is super hydrating and provides the perfect amount of coverage for whatever you’re in the mood for that day. My shade is 150 and it matches me perfectly - Fenty is so good about their shade range! It blends so well into the skin and really looks like skin once it’s on.
