It applies my foundation better… brush or sponge

I guess a lot of girls have the same questions as me, what kind of tools could help create a flawless foundation look? Brush, sponge, or even finger? I did a foundation applying test by Artis brush and Beauty Blender sponge. Let’s see which one performs better. Beautyblender Pro Sponge $20 beautyblender - Makeup Sponge Applicator
This is a drop shape sponge that can be used in different areas. I use the pointed tip to apply on tiny area like noise side and use the bottom round area over most of my face. When applying foundation, I like to make it wet, which makes the foundation soak into the skin perfectly and leaves an even and smooth application. It is easy to clean and nice to take it during travel as it only occupies a tiny spot in my cosmetic bags. Artis Elite Oval 6 $60 artís - Elite Oval 6
This is a multi-function brush designed to be used with foundation/concealer/highlighter/blush/bronzer/compact powder. But I only use it with foundation. I like the double oval design of it that make the application go on smoothly. The brush is so soft and makes my skin feel nice, which blends foundation flawlessly. It’s very pricy, but I think it is worth every penny, as the design is so unique and the product is great. As shown in the finish look picture, beauty blender sponge creates a more natural look. Artis brush looks like make the foundation have a higher coverage. The sponge is going to absorb some of the foundation. I will need to apply more pumps of foundation if I use the sponge. If I use the brush, I just need a pea size foundation, and it could cover my whole face. Both of them apply foundation better than my fingers. I love both of them! They're both my go-to. If you like the natural look, you can go with the sponge. If you like some coverage, then go with the brush.

My 3 Go To Beauty Tools
I’m mainly a skincare person so when I do make-up, I try to keep it to basics as much as possible. When I do go for it, I cannot do it without these 3 tools here. 💕1. IT Cosmetics Unstoppable Powder Brush This brush was a gift from my mom in a set from Ulta and I adore them. First of all, they last forever and they’re a great quality. They are super soft and this one is perfect for after I let my setting powder bake, for wiping off any excess gently and to get a nice smooth look. They’re also easy to clean! I could also use this for bronzer or blush too. Even a highlight really! The key with brushes, especially this one which I use all over my face, is regular cleaning so bacteria doesn’t build up and make skin breakout. I use a cleanser from Sephora that I’ve had for forever that is anti-bacterial and try to do that regularly to maintain the brush as well as my skin health. 💕2. IT Cosmetics Effortless Crease Brush This was another that was in an Ulta set from my mom. Sets are a great way to save on these but these are definitely worth it. I use this one for my eyeshadow and sometimes contour and I adore it. It’s also very soft, versatile, great quality and has lasted me forever. 💕3. Beauty Blender I recently purchased this after losing about 3 other beauty sponges because I figured this is supposed to be the best so might as well commit financially. I also find when I do that, I tend to treat them better 🤣 I’m loving this so far! I purchased it from Sephora and it’s super soft. It’s a bit smaller than I expected but that doesn’t change how I enjoy it. I find I can get bigger and smaller areas with this and I really adore it for smooth concealer and foundation/ CC cream. I know it is supposed to be lightly damp when using it, but I find it works well dry too to be honest! beautyblender - Makeup Sponge Applicator #CheriePartner

Beauty Tools: Favorite Sponges!
These are my favorite beauty sponges. On top is the Real Techniques sponge with a travel case. I like that it’s a bit larger than the Beauty Blender, although i don’t find it to be quite as squishy. I find they last a long time and you can’t beat the price. If money were no option, I would use my Beauty Blender 24/7. However, they seem to wear out pretty fast in my opinion – they don’t wash all that well and tend to stain or rip more than I’d like for the price. However, the application it provides is second to none. REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge + Travel Sponge Case beautyblender - Makeup Sponge Applicator

Makeup should be professional! You need a brush set!
Makeup should be professional! You need a brush set!
At the beginning of makeup, you don't need to distinguish the use of each makeup brush. Several months ago, while trying on perfume in Sephore, I happened to see a 15% discount on make-up brushes for the whole set, which would be about $100 after the discount. I bought it and went home to and search how to use each brush. I'm going to tell you all about them. First, the biggest one is for brushing powder, that is, after applying the base makeup. Personally, I don't think it is necessary to buy. Because the general powder will be equipped with the corresponding powder puff. The second thing I'd like to introduce is that it comes in three different sizes: large, medium, small and three sizes. Eyeshadow brushes are a great buy because girls have a lot of monochromatic eyeshadow in addition to eye shadow trays. The 3rd is eyebrow pencil double - use brush, this is very necessary buy. A lot of eyebrow pencils out there will be very misaligned. The fourth is concealer brush, concealer brush also has two models, one is the detail brush, one is the ordinary concealer brush. The fifth is the shadow brush. The sixth is the blush brush. Personally, I think the blush brush has only one size, and the brush is too big, which is not very friendly to girls with small faces. The seventh is the highlighter brush. Highlighter brush is friendly to girls who use solid highlighter. However, my personal makeup feels heavy, so I usually use the highlighter on the makeup egg. That's all Sephora has in its basic set of foundation brushes. If you're a makeup artist or a serious makeup lover, check out Sephora’s website, which also has a brief description of the 10,12 brushes.

Love Rihanna Love Fenty Beauty!🤣
Love Rihanna Love Fenty Beauty!🤣
The brand Fenty beauty created by Rihanna. So this brand got a lot of attention when it is released. From my view, fenty beauty has a medium high performance during the same level brand. Their popular product is diamond highlight, which has fine powder, large and shiny particles. I bought one but lost it. I am going to show you some other products, which one of them has similar to the popular diamond highlight. The first is sponge egg. Wet it before using can bring you a better makeup effect. I use this egg whatever for the primer or foundation. Its shape is different from that of other sponge eggs. It's not a standard egg description. The sharp side has a special design. It's easier for us to cover all parts on our face. Very soft and smooth feeling when it is applied on your face. FENTY BEAUTY - Precision Makeup Sponge 100 The second pink diamond blush highlight is actually the pink version of the popular diamond highlights. It can be Painted on the face as a blush as well as a high gloss, very convenient. And Daily necessities. However, I have to show one another product from fenty beauty. It is also an highlight, with purple color. But…the performane is really bad. If the powder pink highlight has four stars, this highlight stick only can got 2. Yes…the color is very pretty. It presents the purple luster with colorful glitter. However, that makes no sense! Because it is so hard to apply on your face. Every time when I try to wear it, it will make my foundation got mess. FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter So when you shop in the future, don't just look at the packaging and just try them on your hand. Because sometimes even if it looks good on your hands, it is not necessarily practical!

Sponge or brush? 🤔
Sponge or brush? 🤔
What type of tool do you prefer to apply your foundation? I personally am a big fan of these two. The REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge is such a staple in my collection, I can’t believe it took me so long to try it. It blends even my creamiest concealer like a dream. This paddle brush is also one of my favorites! It’s similar to the infamous Artis brushes in shape but I bought it at a small Korean shop. It’s so easy to use thanks to the ergonomically handle and doesn’t absorb a ton of product thus providing fuller coverage. I’m more keen of a sheer finish and dewy skin but sometimes I do like a medium satin finish. I used my brush on one side of my face and the beauty sponge on the other, you can see on the brush side my under eyes look slightly less noticeable. I used a sheer concealer since I’m not going anywhere lol but that’s the main difference I note since these two both blend makeup beautifully. I think it just all comes down to preference because these two are just lovely in my opinion ☺️

Drugstore dupe for my favourite foundation!
Drugstore dupe for my favourite foundation!
Dupe Alert...❗️❗️ The Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation has some striking similarities to one of my favourite foundations the @itcosmetics your skin but better CC + illumination. Even the packaging has a very similar resemblance. After trying out the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover for a couple of weeks I can say that this drugstore foundation is definitely a great dupe for the It cosmetics your skin but better CC. Both of their consistencies are pretty much the same and they both have an SPF of 50 which is great for protecting your skin during the summer months. This foundation claims to have antioxidants that benefit your skin by protecting it from certain environmental stressors. Like the it cosmetics foundation it provides great coverage and also includes skin benefits. MAYBELLINE - Dream Urban Cover Foundation SPF 50 What I love about the Dream Urban Cover is that it doesn’t have a scent to it like the IT cosmetics one does it’s also a fraction of the cost of the IT cosmetics CC. The Maybelline foundation retails for 9.96 Canadian at Walmart and the IT cosmetics foundation retails for 52 Canadian which is quite the price difference for a very similar product. I’ve gotten a similar wear out of both these foundations and if you want my advice I would save your money on the IT cosmetics one and go for the drugstore option instead, your wallet will be thanking you later. Also the Maybelline foundation has a larger shade range of 21 shades and the IT cosmetics one has only 12 shades to choose from. Have you tried this foundation yet? Will you be ditching the IT cosmetics one for this cheaper option? 😘🌼☀️

I tried really hard to like this product. However, every time I wore it someone commented how I was wearing too much powder. My skin is dry but this product only highlighted the dryness. 😤 Instead of looking “born this way” I looked powdery and flaky. Yuck! 💗 If anyone has any good powders for dry skin please leave me a suggestion in the comments 💗
