Cute VS Cool🤔Easy Day to Night Makeup Hacks!
I do love a sensible smokey eye and sexy dark lips, but it makes me uncomfortable when my teachers or classmates ask me, "where are you going" when I wear heavy makeup to college in the morning. If you've ever been to a live bar or partied after a long day at work, then you know the struggle of transforming your makeup in a very short time is real. As a punk lover, I just can't miss even one minute of the happy hours in the live house on Friday night after class. Here are my 3 hacks to spice up my look fast after grabbing a cool top, taking my makeup from cute-at-school to cool-at-bar without having to redo the entire face:
Hack 1: Get Winged
Adding a wing to my bare eye makeup is one of the best ways to change the overall makeup style instantly. My favorite eyeliner to achieve this is smashbox - Always Sharp Waterproof Kôhl Eyeliner. Drag it from the inner corner of my eyes, extend it a bit toward the end, and flick it out at last.
Hack 2: Add more Lashes
The night is all about drama and fun! Add another coat of mascara with a volumizing, waterproof formula, something like Too Faced - Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara will define my eyes more.
Hack 3: Brighten Eyes Up
The bold smokey eyes are the key to fantastic night makeup, so I always take smashbox - Photo Edit Eye Shadow Trio with me to apply darker eyeshadows on my crease for a grunge look or a sexy smokey finish. This palette is not big and is quite pigmented, so I always take it with me and do me extra makeup after class very quickly. Furthermore, I also line my waterline with the MAYBELLINE - Maybelline Lasting Drama Light Eyeliner in Starlight Gold. Its extra sparkle adds exactly the right amount of details I need to stand out in clubs or bars.
Hack 4: Wear Bold Lipsticks
You know the lights will be subtler at night, so I'd like to apply lipsticks with bold colors on my lips. I love punk makeup, therefore I often go for a dark lipstick like LIPSTICK QUEEN - Lipstick Black Lace Rabbit, and you can get brighter colors if you like.

The trios come in a range of matte, duo-chrome, shimmer and metallic formulas with insane pigmentation! While a couple of the matte shades swatched were little patchy they blended like a dream on the eyes. 👍🏻👍🏻 I bought 3 - Showmance, It's fire and Pic me.
💖Showmance-I really love this one! All 3 shades work really well for me and I find the quality and performance to be excellent for my needs. It's hard to find a greenish palette so beautiful and unique like this!
💖I would recommend Pic me for those on a hunt for pink shades. It has pink glitter and rust glitter with a lush pink matte shade, which are curated to build your ultimate pink look.
💖It's fire - it has brilliant, sun-drenched metallics, containing a light yellow, rich orange-gold, and deep copper. Two shades were fairly good while the yellow light doesn't work on my skin tone.
Tips: it would be essential to use this formula over a primer and to use the shimmers with a dampened brush to maximize coverage, blendability, and application.

Each palette contains three shadows, a base and two complementary shades and are available in a variety of neutrals, color combinations, and finishes. You can mix and match the three colors to create a variety of different looks for both day and night. 💃🏻💃🏻
The formula is smooth and creamy, blends out nicely. But I do advise you to use a primer as a base to make it more long-lasting. I got 4 shades:
Holy Crop
It's a gorgeous, rich burgundy with a shimmer finish. I think its "fall appropriate", and it's also perfect for the nighttime halo eye.
Snap Queen
It's a purple-themed one, very gentle and feminine. The subtle everyday shade is my go-to eye-shadow look for work.
Double Tap
It has a shimmery champagne, a shimmery rose gold, and a matte deep brown. They complement each other very well. I find myself reaching for this one the most when I’m looking for a striking eye combination.
Night Shoot
A cool-toned neutral trio and I'm delighted with it. It's the perfect night out palette, true to its name.
All of the colors in the trio complement each other nicely, and are all basics and be used with any other palettes! Very pigmented and bendable! 10/10 recommend!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Warm Tone Palette: Dupes vs High-End Products
COLOURPOP-FEM ROSA - KARRUECHE X COLOURPOP
Price: $18
This palette is a straight-up warm and a hint of the neutral colour like. I personally recommend this palette out of all the colour pop palettes. This swatch has six mattes in it. It also has the shade ‘Ladylike’, you can set your eye primer with this and that’s what I have to do with this shade. It’s kind of like creamy light banana shade. You can also use this to highlight your brow bone and your inner corner if you want a matte highlight.
‘Chick’: if you want to highlight your brow bone with it, it is more gold and it’s glitterier.
It also has some nice ledge shades, like ‘Dainty’, ‘Mademoiselle’, and ‘Empress’.
You get 4 transition shades: ‘Dear’, ‘Missy’, ‘Damsel’ and ‘Duchess’. The first three shades are warmer, and ‘Duchess’ is more neutral.
So, you have that option definitely with transition shades it really directs where your look is going.
Naked Heat Collection by Urban Decay
Price: $54
It is definitely warm tones too. It has 12 rectangular shape shadows, a large mirror, and a double-sided brush as usual. The shades set up from light to dark. I’m going to quote urban decay on this, it says this is the most shade driven Naked palette urban decay has ever created. And I completely agree with that. These shades in this are very monochromatic. There are too many ‘RED’ in it. It only has four shades are neutral and one shade is kind of purple. There are 7 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades.
In terms of the shade, the two palettes are similar. Urban Decay is more expensive, but I don't think it performs better. If you want to travel with one of them, I think you'll prefer COLOURPOP because it's much lighter in weight.

Is it a great price (19 Canadian) but it has great pay off. The shimmers are very pigments and the mattes blend beautifully on the lid. I not only use this on the eyes but everyday for faux freckles! A must have!
COLOURPOP-Going Coconuts
Sweet Peach Palette
I love this palette. I usually tend to go with natural colours or pinks/peaches and this has what I am looking for but with a little variety. The sweet peach scent you get whenever you open it or brush some on your eyelid is just a bonus! The colours are very blend-able and they have a nice range of both matte and shimmer colours. I don’t notice too much product fall if you make sure to lightly tap the brush and I haven’t had an issue with it staying in place once I apply it. My only complaint and the reason I only gave it 4 stars is although the colours are quite pigmented they could stand to be a bit more so you don’t feel like you have to use as much to obtain the look you are going for.

My Favorite Eyeshadow Palette
This is a palette that I ALWAYS go back to. I use it on myself if I want a simple 2 color look, or if I am doing something dramatic.
Many people complain that ABH shadows have to much fall out and are too soft, but it doesn’t bother me. I usually go in with eyes first when using this palette in case this is fallout.
My only complain is that the brown sparkles on the packaging get EVERYWHERE!
