Recently, I have been experiencing terrible breakouts around my cheek, ear and jawline area. They are super painful and when they heal they leave behind terrible dark spots. This has taken a serious toll on my mental health and self esteem. If there is any products, diet of habits that you recommend for my struggle with acne please let me know. Thank you! These are the products I use in the Am: PLANTS FOR SKIN - African Black Soap Face and Body Bar
THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent
CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30
Pm routine: PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength

SlightlyChaiI would ditch the black soap and witch hazel for the time being. Use a hydrating and calming cleanser during the day. Inflamed acne does not do well with vitamin c so hold off on that as well.

Sun damage is one of the many causes of uneven skin tone & daily use helps to prevent those effects 2-Helps Protect Against The Visible Signs of Premature Aging 3- protects your skin against the sun's broad spectrum of harmful UV rays 4-Reduces Risk of Cancer 5-Healthy Skin Overall!!! Please keep in mind that in order to receive these benefits from SPF creams/products , you must wear sunscreen EVERYDAY and reapply every 2/3 hours, rain or shine, sunny days or not. SPF 30 or higher is ideal and recommended while SPF 15 is the minimum. Im a sunscreen junkie, I have tried so many along the way, these are the ones I currently use and have used. Some not so good, some good and some just GREAT. Have you tried any of these? Did you love them or did you hate them? Please tell 😃 Stay tuned, I will be reviewing and sharing my experience using these sunscreens very soon.

This is the only facial moisturizer all year round from CeraVe. This facial moisture from CeraVe for am use contains SPF 30 protection when you are out in about to prevent you having wrinkles do UV RAY. The Hyaluronic acid helps to give you hydration of layer of your skin and helps to retain moisture. Ceramides helps with restoring healthy skin for the natural barrier. Finally Niacinamide helps to calm your skin down. For my opinion I suffer by dry skin especially in the winter time and it helps me so much during the winter season. Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.

The Process !! Everyone !!! The Process !!
Hey everyone !! Since you’ve guys last heard from me , I had a completely different skin care routine.. I just came to tell you guys how much I love THE ORDINARY!!! Thanks to the ordinary , I’m feeling better than ever & so good with my healthy , glowing skin. It’s only up from here!!!!! My new skin care routine is below : I start out using my Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser mixing it with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I then pay my face dry with a PAPER TOWEL. I stopped using clean cloths like rags or towels... they seem to work better. I after go in with my The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% After using, The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% ThenThe Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I then go in with my Tretinoin 0.025% cream , mixing it with my The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane After this using my Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream mixing this with The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil In the morning , I mix in my sunscreen with the Rose hip oil & my moisturizing cream , because my sunscreen which is CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for Body with Zinc Oxide gives off a very white cast. At night I just moisturize with the listed above products . At night I also use my AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay AFTER cleansing my face . Then I go in with my serums & retinols. The Ordinary really has become such a life changer . Finally , Making me feel comfortable in my own skin. I hope this helps anyone who is going through acne. You’re not alone. Don’t let your acne define you! You’re beautiful!! Thank you everyone💓 I hope you guys keep helping me & stay by my side during my journey!!! Have a blessed day!!! Much love!

Bliss Products..... just ok
I picked up some mini’s of a few products from Bliss. I was excited to try these and well.... I was a little disappointed. bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer This moisturizer feels good going on. It melts to a very light, water consistency- reminds me of belif’s aqua bomb. However, this product is BLUE and smells like Axe body spray! The unnecessary fragrance and color was a turn-off for me, as I have sensitive skin and don’t want to bother with unnecessary fragrances and colors added to products that are going to sit on my skin. bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum This serum feels like more of a moisturizer going on. This is also fragranced which is why I gave it only three stars. Personally, I’d just stick with a hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that isn’t fragranced. I also prefer the classic serum consistency bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum Also fragranced! I didn’t notice this product doing anything for my skin either. Overall, if these products lacked fragrance and the color added in, I might like them better. Overall these are overhyped and overpriced for what they are. Wouldn’t bother buying!

Ulta Annual Sales!!! 3 MUST Have Skincare Products At Ulta To Add To Your Shopping Cart!
Ulta Beauty's seasonal and semi-annual sales are always worth waiting for, especially if you're looking to go big and restock your makeup bag, skin-care cabinet, or shower caddy for back to school season. Nothing quite tops the Ulta's annual Fall Haul sale, which is running now through next Saturday, October 3. You can shop the sale in stores or online and score crazy deals of up to 50% off top-selling beauty products. I'd love to share the must-have skincare products that you can get from Ulta! During this sales season, get your skin satisfied!  When you head to the Ulta Beauty site, you'll be directed to the event landing page, which provides a full breakdown of the week's deals — and they're extensive. If you're looking for product recommendations, I would like to introduce three products that I can't live without! 🤩Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner 30%OFF $7.66/ $10.95  THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner This toner has racked up more than 5,000 five-star reviews on Amazon alone, been recommended by Allure, and been called a "Holy Grail" product by users and lots of celebrity makeup artists! And their entire brand on Ulta is on sale! Thayers' Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner is an alcohol-free toner made from witch hazel, aloe vera, and rosewater. Witch hazel, a botanical extract derived from a flowering plant that humans have used medicinally for ages, is known to be soothing, anti-inflammatory, and have antioxidant properties. This product pairs the clarifying properties of witch hazel with rosewater and aloe vera to hydrate the skin. According to Thayers, the formula's rose petals work twofold: their natural oils and sugars ramp up the skin's dewiness, while its vitamin C aids collagen production, strengthens the skin, and fades blemishes and scars. Certified organic aloe vera helps pump moisture back into the skin. Altogether, it's free of alcohol, parabens, and propylene glycol. 💋My Review: At first I was skeptical of a $10 toner that claimed to be gentle and effective. However, post-personal use, I get the enthusiastic fandom: for me, the Thayers' Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner was indeed gentle, relatively non-drying, and did the job of helping clean off the vestiges of earlier cleansers so the rest of my skincare routine could sink in more effectively. My pores also looked noticeably smaller, and I've started using it as an effective spot-treatment to isolate and treat blemishes as they pop up. If you're looking for a toner, it's a solid option.   🤩Bliss -- Glow & Hydrate Day Serum 25%OFF $16.50/ $22.00 bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum Get healthy, glowing skin with Bliss’ Glow & Hydrate Day Serum. This serum contains niacinamide to diminish dullness, blemishes, and the appearance of pores. It is also formulated with the holy grail ingredient hyaluronic acid, which Bliss claims holds 1000 times its weight in water to keep skin hydrated and lock in moisture. This multi-action, power serum contains special grade niacinamide (a potent antioxidant is also known as vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E to replenish and defend skin for the ultimate everyday glow. Helps improve dullness while diminishing pores and blemishes Antioxidant properties help shield skin from environmental stressors Formulated with hyaluronic acid for lightweight hydration Layers beautifully without leaving a tacky residue CRUELTY-FREE & VEGAN Also their entire brand on Ulta is on sale!  💋My Review: I like the fruity scent that the product smells. It gives my skin the prettiest glow ever I never thought my skin could look this good! My skin looks glowy and feels really soft. It is very light and gentle. I use it before my moisturizer. I really like this serum! 🤩PIXI -- Hydrating Milky Mist $9.750/ $15.00 pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist Hydrating Milky Mist is like the less oily, more humectant (water-boosting) form of PIXI Glow Mist. It contained glycerin, there are a few other humectants like glycosaminoglycans and Ethylhexyl glycerin. Hydrating Milky Mist also contains a couple of light emollients (Ethylhexyl palmitate, cetyl ethyl hexanoate, and lecithin) that soften skin without making it feel greasy. Small amounts of anti-irritants like black oat and allantoin add a slightly soothing effect. It has a slightly floral moisturizer sort of smell. 💋My review: This is my favorite mist, since dehydration is my biggest skincare woe, and the high glycerin content of this mist makes it really good at hydrating my skin without being sticky. I use this before sunscreen and makeup to make my skin feel plump and soft, although you can also use it after makeup to get rid of the powdery look. I also use this a lot after I shower, if I’m not quite ready to do my whole evening routine yet and I don’t want my skin to feel tight. While most of the deals are standard — like 30, 40, or 50% off select products from participating brands — there's one extra-special skin-care offer worth considering: When you add a serum and a moisturizer to your shopping bag together, you'll get to throw in a facial cleanser for free. Better still, you can mix and match your brands! ❤️Hope you guys like it!

CERAVE HYDRATING GEL CLEANSER REVIEW! 💚
Hi! 👋 I am going to be talking about my overall experience with this cleanser from Cerave! CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser INFO: This is recommended for Normal to dry skin! Though, I would recommend it for all skin types. For reference, I have combination skin! I have areas of dry patches and oily areas on my skin! This cleanser can be found at Target, Ulta, Walmart, and Amazon! The cleanser is $14 USD for 12oz! They offer a trail size of 3oz which is great if you want to try it out! REVIEW: This was recommended by my dermatologist, when I had severe acne. My overall experience with this product is great, it left my skin hydrated after washing it off (does not strip the skin). This is a gel cleanser, so it does not foam (create bubbles). Some people say that the product did not cleanse their skin well enough or that it caused them to get breakouts. I use it also as a double cleanser, so I use it twice in a row to get off makeup. This didn’t happen to me, but just another reason to try the trial size! Highly recommend! thanks for reading! Comment your experience with this product! Follow me for more! :)

Brand Spotlight: BLISS
Bliss is one of my favorite affordable drugstore clean and cruelty free brand. They are easily accessible, you find them at: Ulta, CVS, Target and Bliss.com, etc. I can’t help but love everything that I’ve tried from them. Here are current favorites and must haves: Left to right: bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum A mixture between toner and serum this is an awesome toner that is alcohol free, vegan, and packed with skin calming and pore refining ingredients : BHA, niacinamide, zinc and cica. bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer My day/ night cream depending on my mood and what serums I’m using. Sinks in the skin well and has great texture. bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer This is comparable to TATCHA - The Water Cream very lightweight but pack a lot of moisture. It leaves my skin feeling a bit tacky which I love as a base before my primer and make up. bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Moisturizer All times favorite basic moisturizer for day and night. I usually use this when either my skin has a break out and I have to go back to basics or when I’m using retinol or some other harsh serums. bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum If you are new to glycolic acids or AHAs this is a great beginner’s choice. For me I thought this quite a gentle formula... I didn’t feel any discomfort or irritation. bliss - Fabulips Lip Scrub This is my first lip scrub... so I don’t know if it’s good or not. It’s not bad. It’s moisturizing, exfoliating and didn’t taste bad. 😋 Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Have you tried any of their product? Tell me your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

Fall-Winter Nights Moisturizing Edit
bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum If you are new to glycolic acids or AHAs this is a great beginner’s choice. For me I thought this quite a gentle formula... I didn’t feel any discomfort or irritation. The gelly consistency feels really nice on my skin and the formula absorbs quickly into the skin. I have been applying this nightly on cleanse skin and allow the product to completely absorb and dry before applying other serums and oils. ✅✅✅Super Clean & 🐰Cruelty Free Bliss products are also made without: PARABENS • SLS/SLES • ADDED PHTHALATES • FORMALDEHYDE OR FORMALDEHYDE DONORS • TRICLOSAN • TRICLOCARBAN • PETROLATUM • TALC • NPE (NONYLPHENOL ETHOXYLATE) • BHA (BUTYLATED HYDROXYANISOLE) • BHT (BUTYLATED HYDROXYTOLUENE) • HYDROQUINONE • PLASTIC MICRO-BEADS The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane I’ve been loving this squalane serum on my face and body this month. I have eczema on my face, neck and arms and omg guys... This is so light weight and it absorbs instantaneously! So far I’m just happy that it soothes the irritations (eczema) and give my skin an extra layer of moisture where I need it most. Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan COSRX - Low pH BHA Overnight Mask This is ultra moisturizing. It has the consistency of Vaseline and ointment cream.. so use sparingly. Half a pea- size is more than enough for the entire face and neck area. Even though it is very moisturizing and goes on quite thick— give it a few minutes and it’ll sink in like a dream. I use this overnight mask once or twice a week/ when I really feel like my face just need that extra boost and glow in the morning. This is a staple product in my travel bag! Gorgeous product! I ordered mine from ULTA but you can also order them on Amazon, Soko glam, Cosrx, etc. This product is also 🐰cruelty free. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for eczema relief below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

I got an allergic reaction to my entire routine!
So 2 years ago I woke up with my entire face swollen, red and dry. I had nothing else on my body so it had to be due to something in my face skincare routine. After going to the doctor and getting a steroid shot, I was advised by the allergist to patch test all the products i was using. The result: I WAS ALLERGIC TO ALL OF THEM This was especially weird because I had been using some of these products for over 2 years, but apparently it’s called contact dermatitis. These were the products I used: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel -this one was recommended to me by my dermatologist. I don’t know that it was anything specifically about this cleanser that made me have the reaction but it was just too strong for my sensitive skin THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent - my theory is that this caused my reaction, because I had only been using it for 2 days before I woke up looking like a monster lol. it's still weird that it made me sensitive to my other products as well. Now I know that witch hazel is extremely sensitizing and will never use it again. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream - I don’t see anything wrong with this product in terms of ingredients, but i tried it again recently and got a similar reaction, so I guess it’s just not for me Now it’s been 2 years since all of this happened, and I was slowly able to build up a routine that isn’t sensitizing to my already sensitive skin (check out my last post to see it!) Let mw know if you have any questions/comments/feedback :)

Starting differin and panoxyl
I wanted to document my skin journey before I started using differin to see my skin’s improvement. I’m slowly introducing it once every two weeks and then using it more often nightly. My current skincare routine in the am is DR. BRONNER'S - Organic Eucalyptus Castile Liquid Soap This product is great for shaving and other purposes but I haven’t seen any difference in my skin GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner Makes my skin really bright and awake GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum Makes my pores look smaller and gives me bright skin as well ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream This was a waste of money I didn’t really see any difference in my under eyes. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 A little sticky but makes my skin feel very moisturized. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ Makes my skin feel a little oily but there is no white cast. For pm I use LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser Makes my skin feel very clean great for oily skin And then I continue with the am routine minus the spf. ADVANCED CLINICALS - Dark Spot Corrector I then use this product last it has made my dark spots much less noticeable. Once a week The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I haven’t seen much improvement in my skin. I don’t feel much at all using this product. I oil cleanse with castor and jojoba oil then use my la roche cleanser Previously I have used The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Very sticky but improved my acne there was purging with this product initially. THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent I used this out of habit for a long time there was no improvement in my skin. I’m also going to be switching out my am cleanser for PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength I understand the two products I’m going to be using make your skin very dry so if you have any moisturizer recommendations please leave them below. If there’s anything you think I can change in my routine or any advice please feel free to leave a comment. This is my first week starting these two products I will continue to leave updates. Thank you!

Best Acne Nighttime Treatment (non-fungal)
Best Acne Nighttime Treatment (non-fungal)
Okay so I’ve posted results of my use of Differin Gel & now I’m going to post my usual routine. (When I’m not wearing makeup). My skin is so weird now since I started using Differin Gel (I went from extreme oily to more combo/oily). Step 1 cleanser CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I use this when my skin is dry from the day. If I used a mask earlier or a scrub this usually happens. I also like this because I find that adding that extra moisture is important to prep for the Differin gel -or- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin I use this of my skin is extra oily from the day. It’s for oily sensitive skin . Sometimes when I go outside with my heavier sunscreen it leaves that annoying oily feel at the end of the day (especially in my t-zone). This cleanser is amazing. I bought the travel size because it was first time trying it but I’ll definitely get the biggest size when I run out! Step 2- I left out my toner because I threw away my Kiehl's - Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner after doing more research into the ingredients & ordered my regular toners I used to use. Step 3 Treat: Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this is great for my pores and acne breakout I already have. I know it’s totes for oil control to, but I use it all over my face. *Actives* DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel this is my HG acne treatment. I’ve been using religiously it & now I need to buy a new! (I have a lost how to apply correctly). BURT’S BEES - Natural Acne Solutions Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Cream **NEVER USE THIS THE SAME NIGHT AS DIFFERIN GEL!** I use this if I get a really bad spot that I want gone by the morning. It’s the highest concentration of salicylic acid you can get over the counter & it has willow bark (a great pair for salicylic acid). I love a majority of Burt’s bees products due to the high natural ingredients. BURT’S BEES - Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream I did a previous post about using this & how its a effective retinol alternative. I have sensitive under eyes and don’t like to put too many harsh ingredients. This works great for my fine lines. Step 4 moisturize: CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I love this moisturizer. It’s not too heavy but just enough ingredients to be effective. It has that extra added niacinamide I need fr my pores & it doesn’t clog my pores at all! WELEDA - Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream I only use this if my skin is extra dry. This will replace my CeraVe (don’t want too much moisture). A little of this goes a long way! I use like two pea-size dots and it covers my entire face dr. brandt - Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask after my moisturizer. I love how this replenishes my moisture. I use this mask 2 times a week.

My Korean Skincare Routine for Acne!!
My Korean Skincare Routine for Acne!!
SATURDAY SKIN - RISE + SHINE Purifying Cleanser AROMATICA - Rose Absolute First Serum MIZON - Snail Recovery Gel Cream BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner I was on accutane for 4 months in 2019, and I thought I found the cure for my acne. Unfortunately, I started breaking out again in February of 2020. My breakouts went back and forth, but either way they left me with more PIE (Post Inflammatory Erythema aka those RED/PINK marks leftover from acne) My skin was also insanely dry and painful!! Any face wash I used just burned and irritated my skin even more! I didn’t have a consistent skincare routine, so I turned to peachandlily.com to look for a Korean skincare routine that’s also cruelty free. I think I found my new go to routine! It’s pretty simple, but after only 2 weeks I am satisfied with the products so far. Of course they don’t create miracles, but I don’t have any current breakouts (which I’m surprised my skin didn’t purge), my skin is MUCH more hydrated, and I feel as though my PIE looks slightly lighter! I started with the Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser, then use the Banila Co Dear Hydration toner to help with my acne, follow it with the Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, and finish it off with the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel! The Saturday Skin cleanser surprisingly leaves my skin moisturized! The Banila Co toner has peppermint extract to help calm acne. The Aromatica serum has niacinamide which is supposed to help calm acne and fade both PIE and hyperpigmentation. The Snail Recovery Gel has snail mucin to help calm acne and also moisturize with anti-aging effects! Overall I’m very satisfied with this new routine, and I will update in a month to see how my skin is doing!

A natural toner! 🥒
A natural toner! 🥒
EXPERIENCE 💁🏽‍♀️ Trying to find an alcohol free toner that actually helped my acne was a challenge for me. The toners I used in the past provided a burning 🔥, itchy sensation to my skin; in addition, the products left my skin feeling dry. One of the toners I used was called Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control. I went with the Neutrogena brand due to the amazing results I gotten in the past, however, I believe the chemicals in the toner were too harsh for my skin. Plus, I didn’t see any improvements with my acne; so much so, I felt as though adding a toner to my daily face routine was adding more problems than it was fixing the original problem. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Therefore, I stopped adding a toner to my daily skin routine due to the reasons I mentioned previously and due to the expenses, until I came across this product, Thayers Natural Remedies. Lately, I noticed using natural products helped remove my acne and does not leave my face feeling dry 🌵, but finding which natural products work the best ✨ for the type of skin and problems I have was another challenge. By using Thayers as a facial toner, I noticed an immediate change with my acne and the texture of my skin. HOW TO USE 🤷🏽‍♀️ I use this facial toner twice a day: once in the morning and once at night. I squeeze a little amount onto a cotton ball and put it on my face. This toner is alcohol-free 🚫 (which eliminates sensitivity and redness) and has liquidity (almost like watery) feel to it. After using this toner, my face feels soft, smooth, and moisturized for the day. My face also smells good due to the cucumber scent. 💚🥒💚 RECOMMEND 👍🏽 I recommend this product to those who have sensitive skin, dry skin, and acne. This product is for YOU and will hopefully work for you, as it did for me.

Current PM Routine
I’m very early in my journey of finding the right products for my skin and clearing my acne. I currently love theCeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream My skin can be angry with pimples and redness but by morning redness is minimum and dryness gone. I also love MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for treating active acne. This lotion seriously reduces the life and size of pimples overnight. All other products pictured above I’m still experimenting with and very open to suggestions for my combination, acne-prone, aging, dull and rough skin.

I resent it quit my birth control (the kyleena IUD) and my skin freaked out. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures but I started breaking out in hormonal acne and little bumps all over my chin and forehead. And here’s the routine that helped support my skin CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I use this product morning and night to gently cleanse. I’d like to give this more stars but I’ve only been using it for about a month and I’m still not COMPLETELY converted. I love how hydrating and gentle it feels on the skin, it doesn’t damage my skins moisture barrier and I never feel stripped and tight after cleansing. However it doesn’t seem like it would work very well to remove an oil cleanser and additionally I feel like I need to cleanse longer when my skin is oily but since I mostly break out due to dryness I like it. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin A classic holy grail for a reason. It’s super moisturizing, skin barrier friendly, doesn’t break me out and is just all around a great product. I use this morning and night The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I use this every 2-3 days at night time to exfoliate. It helps get rid of texture and dark spots and works very well, however; it causes a bit of a tingling/stinging sensation since my skin is super sensitive but it goes away within a minute. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Combats sensitivity, and inflammation and helps sooth redness which is amazing for healing breakouts. I will say I’m sure it’s doing it’s job but you won’t see any drastic overnight differences COSRX - Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion The BHA and centella asiatica extract in this are an amazing combination for any acne or blackheads. This changed the appearance of the bumps on my forehead and chin overnight. It’s super gentle and feels great on the skin. This is one of my favourite products COSRX - Master Patch Combo Just like the BHA toner this product is amazing especially because I have the awful habit of picking my skin. These draw out all the hung and impurities and blend into the skin so much better than I thought they would. They also have a bit of a blueing effect on the spot so it hides the angry redness and they are even great for day wear. These get rid on any problem spots practically over night. Kiehl's - Super Fluid Daily UV Defense SPF 50+ Sunscreen is nonnegotiable for me especially because I’m so prone to dark spots. This one is super lightweight and doesn’t smell like sunscreen which is great but I think it’s a little over priced. It’s still a great product though FOREO - LUNA mini 2 This cleansing brush is amazing. I’ve been using it for 4 years and It helps clean out your pores and leaves your looking super dewy and fresh

what worked for me
what worked for me
background: all my life i thought i had oily skin because i had acne but recently i’ve noticed my skin is dry and sensitive. i used Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser for 2 years. the cleanser did have some good ingredients that kept my cysts at bay but overall i found it very stripping and i still had acne. my doctor recommended a water based moisturizer so my mom picked up Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer and i used it for 2 years as well. with a constant skincare routine i thought that my acne would settle down but it did not. i asked my friend whats she did to control her acne and she said that she popped her pimples with a hot needle so i tried it. to nobodies surprise, i got acne scars. i went back to my doctor and she prescribed a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream mixed with 0.3% adapalene (tactupump) and that cleared the whiteheads but it gave me very bad chemical burns all over my face. what worked for me cutting out fragrance was the best decision i’ve ever made!!! i change my pillowcase every night and only use a cleanser at night. i have a really bad habit of sleeping on my hands so i use hand sanitizer after i put my phone down for the night and i don’t touch anything else. products i use The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser i use this as a cleansing balm to remove my makeup. super hydrating and non irritating YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser it’s not overly stripping and still has a little bit of a smell due to the natural ingredients but is non irritating The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane i alternate between retinol and chemical exfoliation every night. as i just introduced retinol into my skincare routine i’m starting with a lower percentage to build up a tolerance. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA i apply the product after i finish with my squalane cleanser and then wait 10 minutes for the acid to do its job then follow up with my superfood cleanser. it has done wonders for my acne scars and pores!! it’s great for my sensitive skin The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA i use this as a “primer” for my moisturizer. because this product is filled with humectants, it does a really good job of making sure that my moisturizer really penetrates my skin. because i live in a dry climate, using this as a moisturizer by itself wouldn’t be enough CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin SO GOOD. this is the only moisturizer that can make my skin not feel like it’s been grilled on a bbq. it offers amazing ingredients and protects the skins moisture barrier CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 it’s not very moisturizing and it’s hard to spread but it gives good sun protection. it has a little bit of a white cast but it’s not terrible
