Highlighters I’m loving at the moment ✨
These 4 highlighters are the ones I love using. They’re all super pretty and I usually apply them really light just to give me a slight glow. Floss. Highlighter in “sunlit”, I got this in my August allure beauty box. This is so soft and feels almost buttery but in powder form, so it’s not a cream. It’s a light champagne with ultra fine gold pearl, it’s super beautiful. I have cool undertones and at first I thought this wouldn’t work for me but it’s been one of my favorites. Available on floss website $20.00 floss. - floss Highlighter Seraphine botanicals daisy + pearl natural radiance booster. A very pretty natural highlight. It’s a light rose gold. I can use this as a slight shine or wet my brush and it can give me an intense color that highlights my face. Available on seraphine Botanicals for $22.00 SERAPHINE botanicals - Daisy + Pearl Natural Radiance Booster Winky lux strobing balm in “radiant pink”. This is really creamy. It’s a cute light pink color. It’s best to apply this with your fingers and gently pat on the cheeks. I also like using this as blush or eyeshadow. Available on winky lux site for $16.00 WINKY LUX - Strobing Balm Highlighter Tarte amazonian clay 12 hour highlighter in the shade “stunner” it’s a opalescent highlight. Has gold tones. This smells amazing, kinda like a subtle vanilla scent. Very beautiful and makes me feel super pretty. Available on tarte, Sephora and ulta for $29.00 tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter
hi everyone ✨ for my first post on here i wanted to share some feedback on popular highlighters on the market right now! loves 💕💖💓 CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops (Moonlight): i was pleasantly surprised by this product! there was a lot of pigment to it and it spread very easily. just a warning, a little goes a long way and it isn’t as easy to get that small of an amount out of the dropper bottle! Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (Moonlight): becca’s highlighter is a long-time fav of mine! i love the shade pearl because my skin is so light in the winter and it still pops! the moonlight is just as good, just a bit darker and good for a more natural look 🤍 the milk makeup highlighter was the worst of the batch, it took multiple applications to get near to the result i was looking for and by that time the pigment was too dark to make it look natural i actually really liked the nudestix one too! it just wasn’t as great as the others i had sampled the bareminerals and tarte highlighters left something to be desired, becca has perfected the powder application of highlighter but i felt like these products wouldn’t last as long on my skin benefit’s high beam was very dramatic and came in a liquid application. it would work best for special events but not great for everyday wear in my opinion! thanks for reading🥰 share your experiences with your favorite products in the comments!

mask-proof makeup for oily skin! 😷💫
whether you’re oily or not, I have the best mask proof makeup that have been my tried and true makeup items since before covid because of my oily skin! I don’t wear makeup under my masks often, but when I do, I make sure it doesn’t budge so if I do take my mask off, I don’t have any weird lines on my face. sharing some of my tips and tricks below 👇🏼 for reference, my skin type is oily/dehydrated with light/medium skin tone. foundation: my longest wearing foundation is ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation ! I’ve been wearing this foundation since high school and I find that if you use a small amount, it’s not too cakey or thick. I’ve had the best luck applying this foundation with a brush instead of a sponge? because a sponge soaks it up too much. PRO-TIP: super oily or want to prolong its wear even more? pat a thin layer of translucent setting powder BEFORE applying the foundation. I do this on my nose before putting on a mask, so it doesn’t rub off there. powder: holy grail powder is laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder ! I bake with this powder in the areas that my mask will rub against a ton (the sides of my face and along the bridge of my nose) and my makeup stays unmoving under my mask. bronzer/blush/highlight: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer has always been many peoples HGs, and one of the reason it’s mine is because it stays put all throughout the day. if I use this under my mask, it doesn’t budge or transfer. I also pair with any blush and my fave ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Amrezy Highlighter lips: although my favorite is gloss, I can’t stand the feel of gloss sticking to my mask or transferring onto my mask so when I do wear makeup under my mask, I opt for a matte lipstick. to make sure it stays put and doesn’t transfer, I apply as usual and then blot away with a tissue. another option to make sure your lipstick really sticks around is to take a single ply of tissue paper or toilet paper, place it on top of your lips, and dust some loose translucent powder over it to further mattify it and help it stay out. brows: although my brows don’t go underneath my mask, my holy grail non budging brow product is ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade - truly waterproof and super easy to apply, just use a light hand and a tiny tiny bit of product. hope these product recs helped you guys! feel free to share some of your mask proof recs down below. ❤️

Product Review: Skincare and Makeup
I received these item free in exchange for my honest review on them. Iv been using these products for about a month now. So here we go! 1. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch Acne Pimple Master Patch $6. Firs of all holy value! These patches are actual magic. They are virtually invisible when on and I love how there are multiple sizes. It honestly cleared up deep pimples overnight. I’m going to stock up! 2. @LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) Effaclar Duo Acne Treatment. I do not have very strong breakouts, while I wish I had this product in high school when my acne was really really bad this product was good but too strong/intense for where my skin is currently at. I used it on a few problem areas but it seems more like a long term treatment not a quick fix for someone like me. 3. MAYBELLINE - Mascara Lash Sensational Lash Sensational I loved the applicator but the formula itself was just not doing it for me. It clumped together on the brush and that transferred over to my lashes. I think the applicator is awesome but not the biggest fan of the formula. 4. MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Master Chrome Highlighter. I absolutely love this product! It provides a very natural glow that is PERFECT for literally everyday. It blends beautiful and I just really love it. 5. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin GOLD STAR! This cleanser is seriously the BOM! It’s affordable, gentle, and gets everything from lipstick to lash glue off your face. I’m buying the biggest bottle they have right now!
Affordable luxurious glow
This product has a very luxurious and creamy texture. It provides a casual yet noticeable glow. It’s going to be my new everyday highlighter for sure! I am very impressed by this product and can’t believe Iv never tried it before. Highly recommend.
Achieving The “Airbrushed” Look 🤎
Start with making sure your face is prepped and clean and moisturized! I start with Simple - Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 make sure your face is damp when applying so it’ll retain the moisture! This is important Then I seal it in with The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane Make sure to wait 30 seconds to let these products seal in. Makeup: For foundation COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation Now before I blend it in I spray my setting spray and let it dry a little before.. this will make it looked airbrushed!!! It’s important trust me. Then I use my REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge For concealer I use the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer I use the #Maybelline - Fit Me Loose Powder[products]#[FiveStars] and this stuff is great especially if you’re taking pictures or using a ring light! I use a dark concealer for my contour e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer And the wet n wild - Color Icon Bronzer Square I love this stuff it blends so well!! Then I use MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush in luminoso it’s the best For highlighter I use wet n wild - MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in precious petals this applies so good I use the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara After I spray my NYX - Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray and use my beauty blender to make sure everything sets properly! For my lips I use NYX - Suede Matte Lip Liner in Brown And NYX - Butter Gloss in Praline Then layer a coat of NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream in Cairo Let me know any suggestions in the comments of your fave products! 🤎
Do you use these?
been wanting to try these as both have great reviews online and really cheap. But when it comes to highlighting powders, I'm never sure which colour to pick. Any suggestions? Thx
Are you a holo fan?
I love a holographic shimmer, a color shift, a duochrome. I’m a sucker for them all. Just a collection of holographic inspired products ogx - Kandee Pop Glam Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner this and the shampoo that go with it are my favorite. They smell so sooooo good. And the scent stays. I actually hadn’t used regular shampoo/condition in a couple years but broke my routine just for this scent. Now I’m hooked. It’s great for coaxing a wave out too. KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Alchemist Holographic Palette eh. Pretty and fun. You aren’t wearing it everyday so who cares beyond that. It’s cool as hell. LUSH - Groovy Kind Of Love Bath Bomb I could go broke buying all the Lush bath bombs. This one is no exception. Smells amazing. The color can sometimes stain your skin though, it’s hit or miss. GLAMGLOW - Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer this is one of those products that I can’t ever tell if I love it or hate it. It smells good. Has a good texture. Sometimes I’ll wear instead of moisturizer and I feel like a shimmery oil slick. I think it’s better dabbed on dry spots. I have it in Nude Glow Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer URBAN DECAY - URBAN DECAY Single Eyeshadow I would buy every dang duo chrome color Urban Decay made I love these so much! These 2 are Tonic and Lounge. BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter I use this alllllll the time as a highlight for the inner corner of my eyes or to give my lips an extra pop. It’s way too shimmery for all over though. #Doll Face Beauty - hologram prismatic lip gloss[products]#[FourStars] perfect holographic color. Sheer shimmery blue. A little sticky and doesn’t last long.
Today’s look 👀 must say Sephora brand foundation really good one thing I didn’t like was its super full coverage but goes on smoothly didn’t dry out on my face and also contorted my oily zones. Over all it’s good but I will only use it if going to party or wedding for that full Matt face coverage I got that for hella cheap from TJ MAX FOR ONLY $3.99 yes in Sephora it’s like $20.
2020 Summer “Sweet Treats” Themed Makeup
For those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere, Summer is just around the corner, and things are already heating up, and it’s not just the weather, honey! In the next few months, half the world will be heading into springtime, and that brings fresh fashion, bright colours, and fierce makeup with it. Here’s how you can create a quick, easy, “sweet treats” themed makeup look to match your shining summertime personality. Complexion Work: For my base makeup, I used REVOLUTION - Fast Base Stick Foundation in shade F3. I concealed with the help of REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer in shade C1. I contoured my cheeks using Revlon Sculpt & Highlight Contour Kit, in shade light/medium. I then applied a soft layer of Juvia's PLACE - The Saharan Blush Palette shade Leena. I also used NYX - Strobe of Genius Holographic Stick in “Mermaid Amour” for an iridescent shine. Colourful Sweet Treats Eye Makeup: Moving on to the eyes, I used theMORPHE - The James Charles Palette for the whole look. I started off by packing on “Pinkity Drinkity” onto the inner half of my eyelid and crease. I then took a light dab of “Skip”, then more Pinkity Drinkity on the same brush to deepen the shade slightly and make it more of a soft but vibrant pink. For darker skin tones, you may want to use more Skip to create a brighter colour. Next up is shade “518”, which I took on a small blending brush and packed onto the outer corner of my eyelid, sweeping inward diagonally toward my lash line. Similarly, I pulled that orange shade outwards towards the tail of my brow, and softly blended it into my pink shadows. I also pulled some of 518 onto the outer third of my lower lash line. To complete the lower lash line, I used shade “Bee” to bring some lightness and brightness to the inner portion of my eye, blending it into 518 along the way. For a final pop of summery colour, I packed shade “Hello” onto a small pencil brush, and spritzed it with a setting spray, before packing it onto the inner corner of my eye. The super shiny effect of the shadow and its lustrous, tropical colour really added a fun and fabulous edge to the themed look. I finished the eyes off with a little black eyeshadow on the outer half of my upper lash line, and some MAYBELLINE - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara on my lashes, and there you have it! A quick, easy summer makeup look for all levels of makeup lovers. Would you like to see some “how to guides” for more wearable, colourful looks? flesh - Flesh to Flesh Highlighting Powder value $28 I do love this highlighter. I like it more than the OFRA I featured earlier. I love how the pink tint blends well with my blush unlike the glazed donut. This one is so nice and delicate, it gives that’s kisses glow we all know and love! I also love how it comes as a mirror compact for on the go even though I have not had to touch up.

P I N K 💗
This is classic for pink lovers! I’m attempting a crossover between the soft girl/ e girl aesthetic and I’m pretty happy with the results! I started with a simple light pink eyeto blend it with a brighter, neon pink and top it with my shiniest glitters. After that I drew a dramatic winged liner to tie everything together but the main focus are lips and cheeks! I put a lot of bright cool toned pink blush on cheeks and nose and then drew a heart on in with concealer. For the lips I used a pink lipstick topped with a gloss to help me diffuse the colour and give some shine. My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
