How to Identify Your Curl Type and Why Every Curly Girl Should Know It
Although curly hair is generally used as an umbrella term – it doesn’t account for every curl type. Determining your curl type can be quite difficult as there are a number of different curl patterns ranging from 2a – 4c. Each hair type comes with its own unique set of challenges and characteristics and it is actually very important to know your curl type. When it comes to identifying your specific curl type, there can be some confusion as one head may have multiple different curl patterns and textures. So, how can you find out which of the 9 curl types match your hair? It takes an understanding of your hair, the numerous curl patterns and a whole lot of patience.
Attention Curly babes ✨
I have a special product from Briogeo to all my curly and coily babes. I had my eye on this product for a while now. Ever since I tried their Don’t despair, repair mask I searched their curly hair products. And here is the one that caught my attention. What is is: This is a rich and very creamy Style product for curly hair that hydrate, enhance and define your curls. This has amazing ingredients like Shia and flax seed. This product is safe for color treated, keratin and relaxed hair. Most importantly their free of silicones, parabens and sulfates! My experience: The moment I used this and used my defuser after, my hair just looked so hydrated and most importantly super curly! Something important to know is that this is a very thick formula which you won’t need so much product on your hair. I was super surprised how much I fell in love with this! Now I’m dreaming about the other products for curly hair they have. 😍 I recommend to use this with on damp hair. 💸 How much you ask? This product is retailed at their Briogeo website and Sephora for $26. Which is really good considered the amount you get and you really don’t need much of this daily! 5 Tips for Diffusing Curls
5 Tips for Diffusing Natural Curls: 1. Hover Diffuse to Maintain Length: What it is - Hovering the diffuser with the air coming from the sides of the curls with the hair dryer barrel parallel to the floor. What it does - This keeps the curls’ maximum length while drying. You will most likely get some shrinkage as your hair dries, but not as much as with cupping curls! 2. Root Lift for Volume: Place the teeth of your diffuser directly on your scalp a few inches from the root, and then push the hair up with the diffuser. This will lift the hair at your root and hold it in place while drying - the result is amazing volume. 3. Cup Curls for Volume: This is likely what you think when you hear of diffusing curls. Take small sections of hair and cup the curls in the bowl of the diffuser. I usually stay on a section for 30 seconds to a minute and then I move to a different section. Repeat until curls are dry. This method helps give your curls lots of spring and maximum volume. 4. Gently Move Your Curls While Diffusing: This one is very important! While diffusing, moving your curls from side to side (and even drying with your head upside down) will help create volume. You want to move your curls around with caution - the last thing we want to do is disrupt those curl clumps we formed while applying products! Gently use your hand to “sweep” your curls from side to side, being sure to keep clumps intact. Once your hair is fully dry is when you pull the clumps apart. 5. Wait Until Curls Are Completely Dry Before Sepeeating Clumps: Don’t try and manipulate/part your curls until they are 100% dry! This will help prevent unnecessary frizz and keep your curls looking gorgeous. *I always diffuse with low heat and low speed, give it a try but feel free to play around and see what works for you! xtava - Black Orchid Hair Diffuser xtava - 1875W Pro Hair Dryer - Salon Blow Dryer ECOSLAY - Banana Cream Hot Head Thermal Hair Care - Jeweled Hot Head MopTop - Gentle Shampoo ECOSLAY - Orange Marmalade #CherieCreator

Makeup Mistakes You Might be Making⁉️
I've made tons of makeup mistakes in my trial and error of wearing makeup! My makeup philosophy is that it should at a bare minimum enhance my features! These are two of the biggest mistakes I've made and how I apply makeup to avoid them. CONCEALER Mistake: adding concealer under my eyes in a giant triangle, for my round face shape this pulls my eye down and adds to the fullness in my cheeks. Correction: add concealer to the inner corner and outer corner of the under eye only. This will conceal the dark spots on the inner corner and lift the outer corner! It will also be a lot lighter under the eye and will crease much less. BLUSH Mistake: adding blush to the apple of my cheek, for round and full cheeks this will only add to them! Making the face look round and wide! Correction: only add blush to the back half of the cheek, stopping in line with the pupil. This will lift the cheeks and even start to sculpt them, like contour. I used the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer it's full coverage and doesn't budge, plus it feels super lightweight. For blush I used MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in the shade Nude Flush, it's a color dupe for Glossier's Cloud Paint in Dusk. #CheriePartner
