My Normal/Dry Skin Routine
Lord I should update you guys on my skincare routine. Cleanser: I use CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin and to be honest it’s actually really nice :). At first in my previous post I gave it a bad review, but it’s pretty nice and I’ve seen less acne. Toner: For toner I use peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner and it’s soooo hydrating I was actually shocked- it doesn’t contain any alcohol (thank goodness), so my face doesn’t burn. Treatment: I use COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and this is also very hydrating too I really do love it. Just with this product it makes my face seem like I put everything on it already. Moisturizer:I use CeraVe - Healing Ointment for my moisturizer and it makes me skin feel so smoothhhhhh-like I literally look like a glazed donut and I love it. Sunscreen: For sunscreen I use PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ which is really good and it doesn’t leave a white cast..but the problem is that I heard the spf is actually 15+ and not 50+. I will wait till I hear more stuff about it but I’m just going to finish it up since I’m at the end. :)))))

My Skincare Routine! Holy Grails!
Here are my morning and nighttime skincare routines! Feel free to give any suggestions or recommendations! Also keep in mind that if you are just starting out with skincare, focus on the main 3 products in your routine (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) before getting into the more fancy stuff. I’ll be making an article for skincare beginners soon! Morning Routine: Krave Beauty Match Hemp Cleanser: Cleans my skin very well without leaving it feeling stripped or dry. Has very clean and beneficial ingredients. Also very affordable! WLDKAT Coconut and Noni Fruit Electrolyte Spray: This is the first spray I’ve found that 1.) Does not have fragrance or essential oils 2.) Does not have witch hazel or alcohol 3.) Is actually beneficial and hydrating for my skin! The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum: If you are into skin care even just a little bit, you definetely have this serum. Niacinamide is truly the miracle ingredient and has done wonders at reducing my sebum production. Versed Vacation Eyes Gel: To be completely honest, I haven’t seen the biggest difference using this product or any eye cream. I personally struggle with puffiness when I wake up every morning and I’ve never found a product to help it, because I’m convinced that it happens because I don’t drink enough water. So I definitely recommend drinking water! Naturium Marine Hyaluronics Water Cream: I love this product to death! Water creams are my absolute favorite textures when it comes moisturizers because I have very oily skin. This product is very hydrating but is super light weight and absorbs within 10 seconds. This one is also on the more affordable side. Purito Comfy Water Sun Block SPF 50+ PA++++: This is a new discovery in my skincare routine, but I’m already in love! I have an article on it already so go check that one out for more information, but to sum it up, this sunscreen is is very lightweight with no white cast. The ingredients are absolutely amazing and it’s only $16! Nighttime: Slaii Makeup- Melter Butter Cleanser: I’m not super amazed with this product, but it does do a good job at removing makeup, dirt, and excess oils. It is a little bit to thick and dense for my skin, but this might be a good one if you have dry skin. The only reason I’m using it right now is because I ran out of my last cleansing balm, so leave you’re recommendations below! Krave Beauty Match Hemp Cleanser Naturium BHA 2% Liquid Exfoliant: Where do I even start with this product! This is one of my absolute holy grail products. I have lots of blackheads on the sides of my nose and this made them almost completely disappear. If you have acne, blackheads, or any textural issues, I would define you recommend you use a BHA product, but do your own research first! DIFFERENT TYPES OF ACNE AND THEIR FIXES
Whiteheads Quick, think of a pimple. Chances are it looks like a whitehead. These pimples sound just like what they’re called – the result of pores becoming clogged with dead skin cells, oil, sebum or bacteria. best solution - Pimple Patches help to drain whiteheads and protect skin from outer bacteria. For best results, leave patches on until all fluid is drained. Blackheads Blackheads are much like whiteheads, except the clogged pore doesn’t close up and makes the gunk inside oxidise and turn a darker colour. best solution - AHAs, BHAs and clay masks, which can help to clear out congestion in the skin. Pustules Pustules are pretty much how they sound – a pocket of skin full of pus. You can get pustules when you’ve got an infection and your body is pumping out more white blood cells. A consequence of this is a mix of liquid from the infection and dead white blood cells. This is pus, and when it builds up under your skin, it can cause pustules. Be careful when treating pustules – they involve infections. best solution - Medicated patches or products designed to dry out and heal the pustule. If the pustule pops though, it’s worth keeping it covered with a pimple patch to protect it while it heals. Cysts Ugh, cystic acne! These pimples lie deep within your skin and can be super painful. Often caused by hormones, cystic acne occurs when pores become blocked and infected. best solution - If you can, seek the advice of a doctor or dermatologist because cystic acne is unlikely to fully heal without medical help. Cortisol injections can be relieving, and often products like Vitamin A and/or retinoids can help. If using Vitamin A/retinoid, your skin may dry out easily, so be sure to keep your skin moisturised and nourished. Nodules Nodules feel a lot like cysts, except without the pus and infection. Nodules will form a hard bump deep within the skin and feel painful (just like cysts). best solution - Seeking a doctor or dermatologist’s advice is the most effective way of getting rid of nodules because these rarely go away without treatment. Doctors will often prescribe antibiotics. In the meantime, keep the spot iced to help relieve inflammation.
YTTP Exfoliation Power Toner
YTTP and I got off to a rocky start (see my post about the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi ) but I decided to give their products another go and try the Power of Dreams kit. I will make another post about the Superberry Dream Mask, but today I want to focus on the Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfolation Power Toner. Having used AHA products and really loving how they decreased my dark spots and uneven texture, I was so excited to try AHA in a toner. Being a lower percentage than a chemical peel, I feel more comfortable using this more than once per week and achieving quicker results. The package suggests 3-5 times per week as appropriate. I applied the product after cleansing my face and noticed only a slight tingle, no itching or burning or redness. In the morning, I had a significant decrease in the size of my blemishes and more even tone. More good news: this product is vegan, cruelty free, sustainable packaged, and has a relatively short ingredient list. The bad news: after applying the toner, my skin was left feeling tacky, which I didn’t enjoy. It also claims to shrink pore size but I can’t say I saw any results in that area. Overall, I like this toner more than ones I have previously used because of its effectiveness with the inclusion of the AHA. I think it is worth trying if you’re looking to upgrade toner and it conveniently comes with a hydration mask to use after application when you buy this kit! Power of Dreams Kit retails for $24.00 Full size toner retails for $38.00 YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - POWER OF DREAMS KIT with AHA + Vitamin C

I’m From - Rice Toner: Hydration 💦
Ooo I love this toner. It’s so simple but does SO. MUCH. I'm from - Rice Toner I think oily skin hunnies would love this toner due to it’s lightweight property. It quickly sinks into my skin and makes it feel soft, silky, & smooth! This is a really hydrating product, in my opinion, so I think people with dry skin would also love this toner. ❗️It doesn’t come in a glass container anymore, so that’s a bummer. But, the formulation has stayed the same and I haven’t personally noticed any differences. 💡 Did you know: This product is made with 77.78% Rice Extract. Rice is known to provide a very light exfoliation (which is what leads to the skin brightening and anti-aging effects). Rice also contains amino acids (like lysine) which can promote collagen production. Further, this product contains Niacinamide - which helps with hydration, oil control, appearance of pores, inflammation. ✅ Benefits: Brightens and Evens skin tone Hydrating Anti-inflammatory Anti-Wrinkle 💁🏻♀️ How I Use: I don’t have a strict routine when it comes to toners, since they’re ultimately not necessary in a skin care routine (they’re a nice to have but not essential). I use this one a couple of days in a week, in the morning or night time, after cleansing. I make sure my face is damp and then turn a little bit of product onto my hands and pat it on. You don’t need a lot and make sure to shake before use. ☝🏼 I first purchased this product because I was researching non-exfoliating toners that would help me with my PIH. Over time, alongside the rest of my routine, my PIH did fade but I wouldn’t rely on this product alone to fade hyperpigmentation. I do think that my skin has extremely benefitted from this products hydrating properties.

How to get the most out of your type 4A natural hair
To find the best treatment for different hair types, celebrity hairstylist Andre Walker devised the Hair Typing System, categorizing hair from 1 (straight, curl resistant), through to 4 (coiled, kinky hair). If it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for us!
