🧼Rebuilding My Moisture Barrier💧🤍
It’s always a balancing act when it comes from skincare. 😅 at least for me! Haha 💧I’ve had adult acne and have acne-primed skin, so when it comes to finding the right products that don’t over-strip my skin but also keep my breakouts & acne under control...you could say it’s been a journey! 💧If you saw one of my recent posts about my retinol breakout 😪 I’m back to familiar territory aka flaky, dry, inflamed skin aka my moisture barrier is damaged. And with the colder months, I’ve been spending more time trying to repair it. 💧These are some of the products that have been helping me: 🧴COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence : I recently purchased this essence and have really loved the effects. I use it after cleansing and find that it helps when I use it when my skin is still damp! It’s made my skin so soft & since it’s an essence, it allows for my other products to penetrate deeper into my skin. I will say, for those who are not really familiar with essences (especially this one), many often have a gel-like texture that isn’t super typical in some products (slightly sticky & for this one, slimy). 🧴CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin : my tried and true!!! I’ve been layering this product on, especially at night after the essence. Day or night, this lotion is a must-have in my book. It doesn’t feel oily on my skin and the hyalauronic acid is such a bonus since this an ingredient that helps draw in moisture into the skin. 🧴Krave - The Beet Shield : WORTH THE HYPE! Love Krave Beauty and I LOVE the Beet Shield. The texture is amazing, super light and dried down pretty quickly without a white cast. It makes me WANT to put on sunscreen and not just feel like I NEED to. 〰️After cutting back on the steps in my routine, and feeling& seeing results, I’ve been reintroducing these products for gentler exfoliation!〰️ 🧼CLARISMA - Cali Dreaming Cream Daily Moisturizer : the Clarisma moisturizer is super light and something I’ll typically wear during the day. It’s gentle and I like to wear it on days I’m inside especially since it is a lighter moisturizer and when I’m outside in the cold, I prefer something heavier. 🧼CLARISMA - Malibu Blush Exfoliating Scrub : the most gentle exfoliator! The exfoliating scrub isn’t at all like other physical exfoliants. The Luffa fruit breaks down when you use it so no micro tears with this one. The enzymes used also provide such a gentler exfoliation unlike most harsh acids. It also doesn’t cause hyperpigmentation, which I’ve experienced in the past with acids. 🏹Let me know what’s helped you with repairing or protecting your moisture barrier! 🤍
Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 4
Hey ya’ll! In part 4 of Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines we’re reviewing @Raks and @juliachristine’s skincare routines. Starting with @Rakswho reached out to me via Cherie message because she started skincare about a year ago because of her upcoming wedding. She starts by cleansing with theThursday Plantation - Tea Tree Face Wash Foam which costs $8.99 for 5.1 fl oz. This cleanser is very basic. It has tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. My issue is with the eucalyptus oil, which is a very irritating essential oil right up there with lemon oil and peppermint oil. If this doesn’t irritate your skin then it’s a great cleanser, but I can’t recommend it to those with sensitive skin. Then she goes in with 4 serums. First is thepura d'or - 20% Vitamin C Serum which costs $14.99 for 4 fl oz. This is a really good serum. It has aloe vera juice, glycerin, jojoba oil, and argan oil which are hydrating ingredients, and then it has hylaronic acid, retinol, and Vitamin C. I love it! Then she uses#The Ordinary - Nicinamide Serum[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $5.90 for 1 fl oz. We’ve talked a lot about this serum, it’s very good. Next is the#Tree Of Life - Hylaronic acid serum[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $10.95 for 1 fl oz. I don’t like this serum. It started off good with hylaronic acid, aloe vera juice, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but it contains way too many Essential oils and irritating extracts. And her final serum is theSkinMedica - LYTERA 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum which costs $130.90 for 2 fl oz, which is very expensive. This is not worth the price. It has nicinamide and glycerin, and then some not very researched acids. I don’t recommend continuing use of this serum. Then to moisturize she goes in with theOLAY - Regenerist Regenerating Day Cream which costs $29.99 for 1.7 fl oz. I don’t like this moisturizer. Let’s start with some positives. It has nicinamide, glycerin, and Vitamin B3. Now it has a lot of bad ingredients also. It has Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is a harsh cleansing agent, as well as fragrance being the 6th ingredient. The she uses a Neutrogena sunscreen, and occasionally usesThe Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which costs $7.20 for 1 fl oz. This is a great exfoliant. I think @Raks is using too many serums. I would stick to only the Pura D’or and The Ordinary serum, and ditch the other two. Keep the cleanser, and maybe try a different moisturizer. You asked for mineral sunscreen reccomendations for dark skin tones that don’t have a white cast, so I got you girl! I have light skin, but I did some research and I’d recommend the#First Aid Beauty - Weightless Mineral SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $34 for 1.5 fl oz, and the #Biossance - Squalane Zinc Sheer SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $30 for 1.7 fl oz. Both of these have minimal white cast, and Skincare by Hyram recommends them. Next is @juliachristine’s night routine. She starts off by cleansing with the #Vanicream - Unscented Gentle Cleanser[products]#[ThreeStars] witch costs $8.99 for 8 fl oz. This a nice basic cleanser with glycerin. Next she uses the#OBAGI - Tretinoin 0.025% Cream[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $84 for .7 fl oz. This cream has tretinoin which is a Vitamin A derivative which can treat acne, as well as retinol which also Vitamin A. I don’t think it’s worth the price, but it’s okay. Next she uses the #The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%[products]#[FourStars] which costs $7.99 for 1 fl oz. Along with azelaic acid, it has dimethicone which is a great moisturizer for dry skin. Next she uses theCeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin which costs $17.99 for 15 fl oz. Y’all know I love this product! Finally she finishes off with theVERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream witch costs $17.99 for .5 fl oz. Eye cream is definitely not necessary but this one is great! It has glycerin, algae extract, and olive oil which are hydrating, along with shea butter and a blend of peptides which can help firm the skin and increase collagen production which can help reduce fine lines around the eyes. Overall @juliachristine your routine looks great! That’s it for this post please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment your opinions on these products, and follow me for similar content. Upcoming posts include a 1 month Curology review and unnecessary skincare steps you don’t need. -Mae

CERAVE HYDRATING GEL CLEANSER REVIEW! 💚
Hi! 👋 I am going to be talking about my overall experience with this cleanser from Cerave! CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser INFO: This is recommended for Normal to dry skin! Though, I would recommend it for all skin types. For reference, I have combination skin! I have areas of dry patches and oily areas on my skin! This cleanser can be found at Target, Ulta, Walmart, and Amazon! The cleanser is $14 USD for 12oz! They offer a trail size of 3oz which is great if you want to try it out! REVIEW: This was recommended by my dermatologist, when I had severe acne. My overall experience with this product is great, it left my skin hydrated after washing it off (does not strip the skin). This is a gel cleanser, so it does not foam (create bubbles). Some people say that the product did not cleanse their skin well enough or that it caused them to get breakouts. I use it also as a double cleanser, so I use it twice in a row to get off makeup. This didn’t happen to me, but just another reason to try the trial size! Highly recommend! thanks for reading! Comment your experience with this product! Follow me for more! :)
Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.
Oh Ceramides, How I Adore You
I have combination skin on my face, and that is acne-prone. I was bothered by acne when I was about 20 years old. So I bought a lot of products to try to find which one can balance the water and oil. The first skincare product that worked well for me was from CeraVe, Which I chose because some bloggers highly recommended it. In the beginning, I just wanted a cleanser that did not strip my skin squeaky clean. I use CeraVe cleanser and lotion that tout ceramides as one of the essential ingredients. And When I found out that Ceramides take care of my protective skin barrier. I love it, and I can not live without it. Ceramides are a vital yet often overlooked skincare ingredient. Ceramides help restore the barrier function of skin, which keeps water in and prevents moisture from escaping out. Thankfully, products contain ceramides as an ingredient are so easy to find — they will say it right on the label. You can buy the products which contain ceramides online or pharmacy，there are so many choices for you. And here are my picks: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser– It is useful for my sensitive combination skin, And this is a fragrance-free product. As you can see, the picture one is my sixth brand new bottle. I recommend this face wash, especially for those who are struggling with acne because it isn't too harsh on the face. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin – I have been using this for three more years, which is nourishing, gentle. The label suggests that this would be better for dry and dehydrated skin, while I feel good even though I am combination skin. By the way, I also apply the lotion to the body because it's vast and affordable. I recommend CeraVe. 🙌

How To Save Dry And Eczema Prone Skin...
I’ve had eczema since I was little and it got terrible three years ago. Since then I’ve had to create a routine to make sure my eczema doesn’t get to the point where they skin is red and dry. I struggle with eczema on my face and my arms but I’m going to show the products I use to keep my eczema moisturized and keep it looking as if it was never there. THIS ROUTINE WORKS FOR DRY SKIN AS WELL AS PEOPLE WITH ECZEMA First the type of soap I use is really important. Some soaps irritate my skinCeraVe - Hydrating Cleansing Bar for Normal to Dry Skin My dermatologist recommended the Cerave hydrating cleansing bar to me and I’m obsessed! I love this soap bar. I can definitively say this helped keep my skin moisturized. I use this in the shower on my arms and eczema spots on my face. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin this keep my skin feeling great! The key to this is to put this on right after you get out of the shower to really lock in the moister. VANICREAM - Moisturizing Skin Cream The VaniCream moisturizer! I love this VaniCream product! It keeps my skin feeling great and it is one of the moisturizers I switch between! Definitely think you should check this product out! CeraVe - Healing Ointment I use this product every once in a while. For those of you who can’t go to a dermatologist I recommend you use this. The one I use comes in a tub instead of a tube but ether one will do wonders for your skin. If you struggle with bad eczema I recommend a dermatologist. My dermatologist gave me a ointment prescription. This really helped my skin. If you can’t go to a dermatologist then I hope the products I recommend help you!
Cerave for my dehydrated damaged skin!
If you have dry skin and sensitive skin I recommend this lotion and facial cleanser . It’s the only lotion that doesn’t burn my skin and it soothes the red patches on my face . One week into using this cream and I’ve already notice a huge difference on my skin . The only downside to the cerave facial cleanser is that it’s so gentle on the skin that it doesn’t remove makeup. This cleanser would be great as a morning cleanser...Im also using this two products to help restore my protective skin barrier which is damaged from years of over exfoliating .CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin

Review My Routine 💜
Hello all!!! I’ve posted many skin care tips and products on here, but I thought I’d give a run down on my daily skin care routine. In the shower I use PanOxyl 4% creamy wash. I lather this allllllll over my face and let it sit on my face for roughly 3-5 minutes while I condition my hair. That’s the ONLY thing I use on my face in the shower. After getting out of the shower, I then apply my Cerave Moisturizing Cream. This stuff is the sh*t!!!! The absolute best lotion I have ever used in my entire life. (I also use this over my entire body) After moisturizing, I then use my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo cream. I put this on my more “troubled” spots. Mix this in super well, and you’re done!!!! As a final step, I LOVE to use my Rose Quartz Facial Roller. This makes me feel refreshed, and leaves my skin feeling plump and first. (Did I mention this also helps with SO many skin concerns?!? Hello!!! Do you see my pores?!?) This has been my daily for a few months now, and it has seriously worked wonders for my skin. Store it, See it, Use it: Organization Tips
Tips for better bathroom storage: 1. Keep only your most-used products on the counter. For me, this is cleanser, toner, moisturizer, cotton balls, tissues, and a bag of some other frequently used skincare products. 2. Ideas for your “frequently used” counter bag: Men’s deodorant (changes your life) Once a week exfoliant and cleanser One product for chapped lips Products for eczema SPF moisturizer/sunscreen New products to try soon, like a special moisturizer 3. Great in a pull out drawer with dividers: Dental products/floss Gels like neosporen or scar gel Foot products All those extra lip balms Tweezers Nail products Contact lens Combs/brushes/hair ties Feminine hygiene products 4. Have refills ready in a plastic tub under the sink. Tools can go under the sink too! 5. I’m not leaving the house or wearing makeup right now due to the pandemic, so all my makeup is stored in one train case under the sink. Comment below if you want to see what’s in the makeup case I hope this inspires you to organize your bathroom. Have a great day beauties 🥰

UPDATE ON MY CERAVE SKINCARE ROUTINE
so I just started using these products exactly 2 weeks ago and I don’t really have any before or after pics but I do see a difference.! Before my acne was very inflamed and now it’s more smooth if that makes any sense. Some of the redness has also gone down. I still have a long way to go as far as the scaring etc. but if you guys have any tips for acne scars for sensitive skin (i think I have combo skin but I’m really not sure) please let me know!! Now I will go into depth with these products thanks for reading :)) The CeraVe Sa cleanser : Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars I really like this cleanser so far! It’s very smooth and doesn’t have much lather which I like!! it really got most of my pimples and acne gone within 2 weeks! It does exfoliate your skin every time you use it (I found this out from one of the comments :) so I make sure to only use it once a day. I’m still debating if I should get a skincare night routine as well but I’m not sure yet. Anyways to sum it up I really like this product so far and it hasn’t caused any trouble to my skin as far as I can see. The CeraVe Sa moisturizing lotion: Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 and a half/5 stars I really like this product! I’m just not sure it’s really right for me. It does leave my face feeling moisturized but almost greasy at the same time I might be using to much. But I do like it! I still have a big bottle so I’m not sure if I will be getting any new moisturizers any time soon but I am open to suggestions! The CeraVe SPF 30 sunscreen moisturizing lotion Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A lot of people had a problem with this since it doesn’t leave a white tint behind but I really love this product. The won’t tint doesn’t really bother me it might mess with someone who might wear makeup but I don’t so.. yeah. I would definitely recommend. But I am open to suggestions for a new one! Maybe something with more protection since it is summer time! Thank you guys so much for reading :))
