STOP USING THIS TONER ‼️‼️
First things first - FOLLOW ME 💛✨🤗 I’m hoping I don’t get bullied off of Cherie for this, but hear me out 😂 In isolation, this product is great. The ingredients are great, and the formulation is pretty good. But using this product daily means that you can’t use your serums that contain actives (such as your retinol and lactic Acid) afterwards. Using this everyday is also likely to highly sensitise your skin to the sun and in general. This can lead to additional breakouts, redness and skin cancer. Glycolic acid is an exfoliator, and I because this is marketed as a toner, I don’t think people realise that they are over exfoliating their face. If you HAVE to use this product, try to strip back use to once-twice per week if you must. One of the golden rules of skincare is to use retinol every night. Another golden rule is that you can’t mix retinol and AHA’s. Be kind to your skin. Use glycolic acid only once or twice per week. And don’t use any actives on the day that you do use this product. Stick to a simple toner if you can (I love Andalou Naturals, Isntree and Paula’s Choice toners). At the end of the day, everyone’s skin is different. I just personally prefer to use The Ordinary’s 30% AHA Peel once a week instead of this toner. This way I’m not sensitising my skin everyday. Treat your skin like the delicate petal it is!
