Winter slugging 2.0 🐌❄️
In Canada winters are harsh and the Cerave products are hard to come by (always sold out in Montreal anyways) so I used to slug with just vaseline. It works fine, but I decided to upgrade after finding this baby at the drugstore. I was surprised to find the cerave baby line also had a ointment and skincare junkies seem to not have found the baby aisle just yet! CeraVe - Healing Ointment
1 DAY AGO
I have completed my first month of accutane! Now that I’ve finished the first month, my dosage is going up so I’m anticipating more dryness. 😩🏜 PROS: WILL I EVER WASH MY HAIR AGAIN!? It’s never greasy anymore and has so much body! THIS PART IS BOMB. Cons: oh my aching EYES. You know when it’s allergy season and your eyes ache and burn? Well picture that but like you’ve slept with your eyes pried WIDE OPEN ALL NIGHT with sand and sun blowing into them. Also, skin around nose is dry AF. Love looking like I have bats in the cave at all times. Also my hands peel?! I’ve never had ashy dry hands til now. Products that have been helpful when dealing with the shedding uglies and dry skin misery: CeraVe - Healing Ointment Feels greasy but offers sweet relief from painful skin cracking. Dr.Dan's - CORTIBALM LIP BALM HOLY GRAIL LIP BALM. Bio-Oil - Dry Skin Gel Feels greasy, but makes body skin feel nice after showering and before bed. Kiehl's - Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer Sinks into skin nicely, doesn’t clog my pores, keeps skin feeling good all day. Murad - Anti-Aging Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ I loved this before accutane and still love it. It’s a nice sunscreen because there’s no white cast and the shiny goes away quickly. GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum Nice applicator and bottle, sinks in quick and not sticky! AND ITS CHEAP. Winner!! Tried one bottle and ordered three more because it offers such a nice hydration boost. ACCUTANE USERS: I CANNOT RECOMMEND THE DR DANS LIP BALM ENOUGH. IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING for painful lip cracks, shedding, and tightness in the lips. 1000000% worth finding.
Fave Multipurpose Product!
CeraVe - Healing Ointment Finding a tub of this in NYC is virtually impossible, and after finding the travel pack version I completely understand why. This healing ointment is packed with three types of ceramides, cholesterol, Hyaluronic Acid, and a load of other emollients/occlusive agents that make it THE perfect healing ointment for dry skin. Two weeks ago, I experienced a dry flare-up after over-exfoliating and “slugging” with this completely saved my skin. Formula wise, this is the perfect ointment to “slug” with, especially if you have eczema. Unlike other ointments, this is non-greasy and has a balm-y feel on the skin. This also makes for a PERFECT/EFFECTIVE overnight lip balm/“lip mask” (yes I’m throwing shade at the Laneige lip mask) to prevent your lips from cracking while you sleep. You can use this on your body, use it as a concealer primer, and I’ve even heard of some people using it on split ends!
Fix Concealer, Flaky Skin, Split Ends, & More
#CheriePartner I can’t sing the praises of CeraVe - Healing Ointment enough! I love this balm. Its ingredient list is absolutely stacked with occlusives, emollients, humectants, ceramides, and vitamin e. It’s nourishing and manages to be both hydrating and moisturizing- a drug store gem for sure! For $20 I got a 12 oz tub of what I consider the most multi-use beauty/skincare/body care product in my home. Here are some ways I use this gloriously silky balm: • Pre-Concealer: Applying a thin layer of balm to my undereyes a few minutes before applying concealer keeps it from flaking, creasing, or looking too matte. • Target Dry Spots: A light hand with this balm is needed on the face! Scoop a tiny bit out, rubbing fingers together to let it warm. Then pat over areas prone to dryness- I even gently pat it over my entire face on nights I use tretinoin if my skin has been dry that day! • Pickers, Protect Your Scabs: Picking is an unfortunate, but common, habit that can go along with having acne. Whenever I pick a blemish to bleeding, I make sure to use a peptide serum and this balm, applying a very thin layer over the scab. By morning, it’s far less red and aggravated! • Ashy Knee Fix: I have really dry joints, so I keep a tube of balm with me anytime I’m wearing shorts or a dress. I can spot-treat my joints specifically, but usually I just let a small amount melt in my palm then rub my legs and knees. It leaves my skin so soft and moisturized: shiny but not greasy! • Split End Treatment: It’s been hard not going to a hairdresser, with the current state of the world and all. The tips of my hair aren’t in horrible shape, but they’ve definitely been better, so I’ve been making sure to add a layer of balm to the tips of my hair when I do my weekly hair mask- it seems to really help the hair mask soak in while still rinsing out well. • Miscellaneous: Rub it on your cuticles to help keep your fingers looking lovely. Use it mixed into a hand cream, so long as you give it a bit extra time to soak in before grabbing your phone! Rub a small amount on ears before moving up a gauge/mm. Use it as a lip balm. I can’t emphasize enough that this is the ultimate moisturizing product for me, for my entire body 🙌🏽
CeraVe Healing Ointment
This is PERFECT for my skin and believe me... I have pretty bad skin! It’s not acne that’s bad, I have none, it’s eczema and dry skin. I usually used Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original before. I would rate this 5 stars, except you can’t use in in the day because it makes your face OVERLY shiny and highlights your red spots. Also, it takes FOREVER to sink into your skin, so I just used it before bed, and that was perfectly fine. That’s why I use CeraVe Healing Ointment. It’s basically the same consistency as Vaseline except a little less greasy and smooth. I would not recommend wearing this in the day as well, but use it at night after you shower and it’s a LIFE SAVER. After I shower I put VANICREAM - Lite Lotion which I 100% recommend on my cheeks and forehead, and the CeraVe - Healing Ointment (4 1/2 stars) around my eyes and all over my mouth. I also use it on the cracks of my arms and legs and neck. I definitely recommend this If you have eczema or dry skin. Also it doesn’t have any added scents that make you itchy. Hope you try it out! Tell me in the comments if you’ve used this before!
Vaseline- 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original
Hello everyone! I am looking for some help! Ever since having to wear mask for 12 hours a day at work where I’m constantly being active and sweating. My skin has been worse then ever! I have very sensitive and dry skin so my products are limited that I feel comfortable to use without breaking out 20 times more! I wash my face with Cetaphil General Cleanser in the morning and just water before I go to bed and then I use baby lotion for my face because it is not harsh. I try to make sure to drink lots of water as well to try and help my skin but this has been going on for months now with no change..... anyone have any tips for me. Greatly appreciated and thank you!!

Hydrating Vegan Milk Moisturizer!
#cheriecreator Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well, I just wanted to share with you my favorite moisturizer! Milk Makeup is by far one of my favorite brands, just the overall simplicity of their style draws me in on top of their vegan products. Their Vegan Milk Moisturizer was something that I wanted to try for the longest time and earlier this year I finally got the chance, and can I just say that it lives up to the expectations! The formula is super creamy and rich without it being oily! Like I’ve said before I have oily skin, but oily skin or not it’s still extremely important to stay moisturized! When I first bought this I only ever used it before I did my makeup, I loved how easily my skin absorbed the product that I started using it in my nighttime skincare routine. My skin looks and feels more hydrated without it giving me a heavy greasy feeling. It also lasts throughout the day, the moisture just stays locked in. I also love the fact that it’s for all skin types, it doesn’t disrupt my skin or cause any types of breakouts. I’ve been using this for several months so I can say with confidence that I’d highly recommend this! Last thing, I want to share with you some of the ingredients that I really love that are in this! Versed Nix It Complexion Solution
I’ve been using this VERSED - NIX IT Complexion Solution on pesky pimples lately. It works really well on tiny friends but not so much on underground or big boys. Claims: — non-drying — Use it to tackle those early-stage, healing-stage, or deep underground trouble spots — doesn’t leave residue — can apply over makeup Ingredients: — inflammation-calming — non-drying ingredients — Tea tree — Salicylic acid — lavender oil — lemon oil — rosemary oil My thoughts: — helps control oil production near my zits — calms redness around pimple — reduces small, already-at-the surface pimples within a few hours, but doesn’t tackle under-the-skin ones like it claims — its a dry oil so it’s quite runny and hard to control, but I like putting it on a clean finger and then applying. — the packaging isn’t great and hard to get product out sometimes, but the team says they’re working on it! It leaks occasionally. — it’s only like $13 so that’s great, 4/5!
