Soon Jung line
Hi! This is my first post. I would like to talk about my favorite line. It’s a kbeauty brand from etude house!
I will talk about every product I’ve tried from them.
Skin type: Combination-dry sensitive acne prone
ETUDE - Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser I think this is a good cleanser. But this was just to stripping for me. Maybe because of the Ph of 6.5 is high? I don’t really know. If you have oily skin this would be great as it has great ingredients list and is free of irritation ingredients. They do have a 5.5 foam cleanser which I love because it is so gentle for acne.
ETUDE - SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner Love this. So light weight but soothing. Great simple ingredients. I recommend for any skin types.
ETUDE - Soon Jung, 2x Barrier Intensive Cream I love this as well. It is very moisturizing but no pore clog and very simple.
I bought all of these at yestyle because they ship internationally. I’m pretty sure they ship to pretty much every country so check them out!

PM Routine for Dry Sensitive Skin 🌙🌵
This is my boyfriend’s PM skincare routine (created by me! 😁). Before we met 3 years ago, he never moisturized or used sunscreen, and washed his face with body wash. 😱 As you can imagine, his skin used to be hella dry and dehydrated, and his skin barrier was damaged.
He has very dry, sensitive skin, isn’t acne-prone, and likes simple and quick routines so that he doesn’t have to spend too much time getting ready.
🌙 PM Routine
1. BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original
This is a simple and affordable cleansing balm that he uses to remove sunscreen at the end of the day. It doesn’t irritate his eyes or leave an oily film behind.
2. ETUDE - Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser
He’s tried other simple cleansers such as the Cetaphil face wash and the Innisfree Blueberry Cleanser, and all of them have made his face feel tight and dry. This product does not, it is a gentle foaming cleanser that doesn’t make his skin feel stripped.
3. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum
He uses this product on a damp face to hydrate his skin. My skin is sensitive to hylauronic acid, but my boyfriend doesn’t have any issues with HA serums.
4. ETUDE - Soon Jung, 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
This moisturizer has skin repairing ingredients like Madecassoside and is great for his dry skin. It’s a little too occlusive/greasy on me, but his skin absorbs it well.
5. timeless SKIN CARE - Squalane Oil 100% Pure
His skin is so dry that moisturizer alone is often not occlusive enough to last throughout the night. To supplement, he pats a few drops of squalane oil into his face as the last step of his routine. He reports that when he uses squalane oil, his face doesn’t feel tight and dry when he wakes up the next morning.
Hope this helps those of you with a similar skin type as his! 😊 His AM routine is also posted on my page!

Healed in under 1 week! How I prevented scarring
🐺So I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky, he’s got way too much energy for me sometimes. He totally booped me in the eye with his teeth & basically bit my eyelid.
I was honestly so f***ing worried, eye skin is so sensitive & my skin scar easily, even from bruising.
So how did I get this back to normal in 6 days?
First things first... Regularly applying (yup, multiple times a day) SUNSCREEN will help prevent hyperpigmentation.
☀️When you get a cut or bruise, even a baby one, your skin barrier has been compromised. Even the healthiest skin barrier will not protect you from UV rays whatsoever & any new skin growing after an abrasion is extremely susceptible to UV damage, regardless of your skin tone!
I’m super pale, but even with skin that doesn’t burn easily, newly generated skin tissue will become darker if you don’t use an SPF to protect it.
I included a pic of a scratch I got from my dog several months ago, where I totally didn’t protect it from the sun. I can be lazy about body sunscreen & this proved to me that almost any broken skin will scar if it gets sun.
I used:
KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 But honestly any sunscreen you like with a decent SPF is key for scar prevention. Reapply & reapply! I love this formula because it’s so moisturizing! Full review in a previous post.
Keeping your skin hydrated & moisturized is super important too, you want to give your skin nourishment while it heals.
Which brings me to the second most important thing.
🐌A repair serum:
Beauty of Joseon - Repair Serum : Ginseng+Snail Mucin I have fully fallen in love with Snail Mucin after this serum!
Because Snail Mucin is a stress-induced excretion, it's comprised of ingredients meant to repair or protect from injury. These include growth factors, which work by triggering the growth of new skin cells & new collagen.
This particular serum is really affordable-$17. It contains over 3% Snail Mucin & it’s over 63% Ginseng extract, also amazing for skin repair & evening tone. Allantoin is another component in the secretion; healing properties, calms irritation & stimulates cell regeneration
Also fragrance/alcohol free!
Sulwhasoo - First Care Activating Serum Limited Edition This is also packed with Ginseng & other reparative botanical extracts. This really helps me retain moisture in my skin, I use it 2x a day & have noticed generally brighter & clearer skin in the last few months. You use this after cleansing or toning, before other serums.
TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream After a couple days I added this.
ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Great for sensitive skin & has vitamin E. I alternated between this &:
TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream
Also used this:
Beauty of Joseon - Glow Serum : Propolis+Niacinamide
Almost 60% Propolis + 2% Niacinamide

These products improved my acne in 3 weeks
Since March 2020 I started breaking out really bad. It got even worse in September and I think it was due to over exfoliation and irritated skin.
I started using these products below 3 weeks ago and as you can see from the pictures my acne has noticeably improved. Most of the acne has subsided. The acne on my temples are almost non existent and just some redness remains. Also the redness on my cheeks are fading and are smaller in size.
Current routine:
Toner: ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner
Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Treatment: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion
Creams: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) and ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
Retinol: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream
Really happy with these products right now! I will continue using these products and might add Vitamin C as well. I will post another update in another 3 weeks, stay tuned 🙈

small bumps (closed comedones?) on skin
does anyone know how to get rid of these tiny bumps on the skin? I have these bumps for almost a year now and they won’t go away. (I also have them in forehead) .I tried nizoral shampoo cause i thought they were fungal acne but the bumps got worse. I also tried BHA (from cosrx) and AHA ( from the ordinary) but they didn’t work as well. I’m thinking of trying differin gel but i’m scared of purging😩 and my skin is very sensitive, will differin gel work for these bumps ? other product suggestions?

Buttery Moisturizer by YTTP
This is the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream by Youth to the People. It is meant to soothe skin and hydrate skin.
I just got this recently and I already love this! It’s buttery and my skin drinks this right up. My skin has been really irritated and this is helping and doesn’t break me out. The mushroom in this is really soothing but it doesn’t have a real smell at all!
I also love that they are vegan and this is a glass container. So cool!
Everything this brand makes is amazing. They truly seem to not be able to do any wrong.

Skincare products for allergy-prone skin-Round 1
I have combination-dry skin in spring and summer, and dry skin in fall and winter. I also have allergy-prone skin with bumps. Let me share some skin care products that I've used before.
Facial Cleanser:
Curél - Foaming Facial Wash
It's a low pH face cleanser that protects the skin's moisture barrier while soothing dry-sensitive skin. It creates a dense foamy lather which cleanses well enough for me when I don't wear makeup during my allergy flares.
Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion
It's alcohol-free, preservative-free, and scent-free. It has a soft texture which spreads easily and I can apply just a little amount to my entire face. After that, I'll use a tissue soaked in Avène Thermal Spring Water to wipe off any leftover lotion. I normally use this cleansing lotion when I have severe allergies.
Toner:
HABA Pure Roots G-Lotion
It stabilizes the skin if we use it regularly. I will always use G-lotion as a base before using other toners.
Facial Cream:
Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cream
It's alcohol-free and scent-free. I will apply a thick layer of this cream on my face whenever I have a severe allergy.
Curél-Foaming Facial Wash
A great summer moisturizer for oily skin!
a.My skin type is combination, often with hormonal acne during parts of the month. I generally have pretty balanced skin!
b.This product is an oil-free moisturizer meant for oilier skin types, and it mattifies the skin and prepares it for sunscreen!
c.The texture is so beautiful! It’s a creamy gel that sinks in really quickly and definitely mattifies the skin. It does not leave a dewy finish at all. The packaging and color of the product are beautiful, just as all Farmacy products!
d.Sometimes my skin can feel a little dry after using this so I tend to use it on days when I feel oily or know I’m going to follow with a dewy sunscreen. I also only use this in the mornings after my vitamin c serum, since I prefer heavier moisturizers for my nighttime routine!
e.I would recommend this to my friends with oily or combination skin! I would rate this product a 4/5 stars because the smell can be offputting to some people (all natural ingredients), and it is a bit expensive. However, I believe the cream does exactly what it says it will, so it’s a solid choice for the summer months too!

What a great hydrating cream !
-If you want your skin to feel like #zenbubble #clean 🧘♀️ and just had a hydrating , cooling drink in a hot summer day then this new Zen bubble gel cream by @beautybio is perfect! .
.
It address five signs of stressed skin like large pores, breakouts, dry patches, redness, fine lines/wrinkles which literally sounds like my skin. I have been using this for almost 2 weeks now everyday and I can’t tell how my skin looks so hydrated, well nourished without feeling heavy on my skin . It feels so feathery light and my skin looks so plump, smooth and just WOW ! 🤩🧘♀️ and cherry on top the packaging is to die for 💕

Moisturizer for Oily Skin: Coconut Water by FAB
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream
Moisturizer for oily skin: This cream is a gel cream meant for oily skin. Here is how FAB describes it: oil-free, refreshingly light water cream infused with skin nourishing coconut water that hydrocharges your skin with a burst of electrolyte-rich moisture. The electrolytes and coconut water to moisturize the skin. This is interesting because it's made for oily skin and suitable for sensitive skin as well as it's fragrance free.
I got this cream because I liked that it was natural and smelled of coconut without added fragrance. My skin is what I would call aging oily skin - definitely some dry spots, but my t zone is very oily so in the summer especially I go for lighter gel creams like this.
If you look at the texture shot you will see this is a gel cream with a white texture. It is absorbed quickly. There are a lot of silicones in it which probably helps the texture but might make some people break out.
My experience- this cream dried my skin. It absorbed fast and worked well with makeup, but this would only work for someone with very oily skin. It left my cheeks feeling dry and tight. I could see myself using this in a humid climate or the summer, but definitely not in the winter. It didn't make me breakout or cause any adverse reactions aside from my skin feeling tight. This is definitely not a night cream.
This retails for $34 for a large 1.7 ounce jar. I could see the jar lasting a while so this is an ok price for a mid-tier moisturizer.
I give this 3/5 stars. I wouldn't rebuy it because I felt like it was too drying for my skin. If you like gel moisturizers, this might be a good bet but it wasn't for me personally.

Youth to the people sie whip moisturizer
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
I live the ingredients in this moisturizer and am a fan of youth to the people anyways! The texture is a lightweight gel watery cream, very cooling on the skin! My combination skin loves this and it truly feels amazing but also lightweight! I would prefer this in summer though since I love their adaptogens cream for this time of the year! I would possibly repurchase it for summer and I think this is perfect for my sensitive, acne prone combo skin! Probably also works well for oily types, wouldn’t recommend for dry skin!
