Is it really a dupe?? Drunk Elephant vs. Inkey🍀

Melissa
In this round of dupe products, I tested Drunk Elephant’s Protini against The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer. I have used Protini in the past and just got the newly released Inkey List moisturizer a few months ago. I was excited to see how they would perform up against each other. Let’s dive in! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream
$68/ 50ml: contains a combination of signal peptides, growth factors, and amino acids. It comes in an airtight jar and a pump to prevent exposure and oxidation. The cream is in an intensely thick formula but surprisingly doesn’t feel too heavy when applied on my oily skin (although I feel oilier later in the day). The formulation has A LOT of peptides. Nine in total. I’m still skeptical when it comes to peptides since there haven’t been enough controlled studies to support the claims. However, I do know it has amazing moisturizing properties therefore, it may really help reduce fine lines and improve the overall health of the skin. THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer
$14.99/ 50ml: this is a mainly a shea butter moisturizer. The peptides are last in the ingredients list. It contains a two-percent royal epigen P5 that claims to nurture skin and help decrease the appearance of fine lines and one-percent hydrating peptide solution to support the moisture barrier. It has fewer ingredients compared to Protini so it has less potential to cause irritations for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Texture and Consistency: I find that the Inkey moisturizer is more lightweight and sinks in quicker than the Protini. However, the Protini has that special luxurious silky feel to it. It feels really soft and cream slides easily onto skin. They are both sufficiently moisturizing for my oily skin. Both make me oilier at the end of the day but I really have no problem when used in the nighttime. I think they’re both great products. Both are fragrance-free and have occlusive properties. They seal in the moisture to keep your skin looking healthy and they’re perfect for use to repair the moisture barrier and replenish your skin with hydration overnight. So which one should you get? depends on your needs and skin type: I would say, go for the PROTINI if: You have dry skin You have wrinkles and fine lines You prefer a really intensive hydration You’re not sensitive to plant extracts Go for the PEPTIDE MOISTURIZER if: You have oily skin You are acne-prone You prefer a lightweight moisturizer You’re sensitive to plant extracts *cons: it has a strong chemical smell I personally have been enjoying the Inkey List moisturizer better than the Protini. Although I have always loved the Protini, I find that the Inkey moisturizer works better with my skin type. Thank you for reading! xoxo

Current Morning Routine
I started this routine 1/4/2021 It’s been working great for me so far! First I will do a water cleanse then use Vitamin C timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum I like this because of the added Vitamin E and ferulic acid Then I apply Hyaluronic acid The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 This one is okay, it feels a bit sticky on my face. When it runs out I’m going to replace it with the Hyaluronic acid from the Inkey List. Then Eye Cream THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Then moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I like the way it dispenses, I pump is enough for my face and neck And then most importantly SPF elta md SKINCARE - UV Daily Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 This is my favorite SPF I have tried so far! Makes my face feel moisturizer and feels light on my face. It’s tinted so no white cast!

Products Getting Me Through Winter! ❄
Since I can remember I've had oily to combination skin, until this winter. It's been a rough one! My skin has been SO dry, and it's hard to keep up with it. Especially since I'm prone to acne and clogged pores, so I can't use a lot of heavy creams and pore clogging products. These I wouldn't be able to live without this winter! COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 🐌 I love this essence! This is a Korean product (Korean skin care will always be a hit). And it's made with Snail Mucin, weird right? This contains 96% snail mucin, which has incredible healing and antimicrobial properties. It promotes collagen production and aids in skin regeneration. And it's a top pick for dry skin types because of its amazing ability to hydrate. This has a jelly-like texture and I find myself ALWAYS reaching for this. Most of the claimed benefits do come with time. Another product I'm loving is the DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum 💧This is a serum that came in a DE kit and I really want the full size! This seriously feels like a cold drink of water for your skin. It's lightweight and spreads nicely. It not only has Sodium Hyaluronate, (which is like hyarulonic Acid on steroids) but also Pineapple Ceramide and provitamin B5, an amazing humectant. As well as a lentil/apple/watermelon complex. It's not crazy different from other Hyarulonic Acid serums I've tried, but it's great! I finally got to try the cult favorite DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream . And wow I'm glad I did! This cream does have a few possible pore clogging ingredients so I was afraid to use it, but It's helped my dryness so much! It feels sooo moisturizing and soothing. I love that this is a protein moisturizer that has peptides, growth factors, amino acids, and pygmy waterlily to improve your overall skin health. This is an amazing anti-aging and skin strengthening moisturizer. I love using this it's a great experience. I already reviewed this incredible product, the Glossier. - Balm Dotcom 👄 It's become a staple lip balm for me. It's extremely hydrating and packed with antioxidants and natural emollients. It has Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin to seal in moisture. It leaves my lips looking sooo hydrated and smooth. It's THE perfect lip balm and I am obsessed. Feel free to comment or ask any questions below 💗

drunk elephant review with fungal acne🐘💗
as someone with fungal acne, buying the same products can be reaaallyyy boring. so this is my review of drunk elephant as someone with fungal acne!! * disclaimer, NONE of these products are fungal acne safe!! use at your own risk * DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser this cleansing balm doesn’t really emulsify when you activate it with water, leaving a really oily feeling😕 and doesn’t remove all my makeup DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample this is a really nice gentle foaming cleanser... and thats pretty much it. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum i love this serum! its a lovely gel serum that absorbs in quickly and is greak at oil control DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum this serum is a little tricky, i haven’t really noticed a difference in my skin in terms if brightness, i do have a bit of dark spots and they haven’t budged. not to mention this formulation is a rip off of the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream this is a thicc moisturizer that surprisingly doesn’t leave my oily skin looking greasy af. its a good moisturizer for dry combo skin! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream this moisturizer feels exactly like the lala retro... its just 8 dollars more expensive DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask this mask burns so bad the first 20 seconds but then it settles down. i really havent seen a difference in my skin so DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil ive only used this oil a few times but wow it really makes your skin feel super soft and dewy DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm i love this lip balm but its 16 dollars and the claim are completely false! in conclusion, i wont be repurchasing anymore of drunk elephant products because in reality they are just good products... nothing too special ESPECIALLY for the price. they aslo didn’t want to provide information about the percentage of black employees during the Pull Up Or Shut Up movement so yeah. their aesthetic is cute but ive grown out of this phase 😀 like and save!! xo melanie

Affordable lightweight peptide moisturizer
Affordable lightweight peptide moisturizer
I’ve been using THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer for about a month now so I’m ready to share my thoughts on it. This is a nourishing daily moisturizer that contains a peptide duo that helps support natural collagen by decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrate the skin. The two peptides in this are acetyl hexapeptide-37, which helps with surface level hydration, and pentapeptide-48 that helps with skin rejuvenation. Other notable ingredients in this formulation are glycerin, shea butter, betaine, and vitamin e. ⁣ ⁣ I was worried that this would be to heavy for my skin due to the shea butter but this was surprisingly lightweight. It has a medium weight cream texture that sinks into the skin fairly quick. It leaves a natural skin finish that doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. It just feels like moisturized skin after it dries down completely. I quite liked this cream a lot since it provided enough hydration and nourishment to my skin throughout the day and night. The results I got from this were pretty expected. My skin just felt supple and moisturized. As far as anti-aging benefits from the peptides, I’d have to use it for a much longer period to see those results if there are any. I’m aware people are thinking this would be a dupe for Drunk Elephant’s protini but I don’t think that’s the case since they both have varying ingredients as well as textures. DE’s felt more like a gel cream that has a lot more ingredients and peptides in their formulation but that’s not to say this isn’t a great moisturizer all on it’s own. This is a wonderful moisturizer for any skin type that’s also affordable and comes in a great packaging that dispenses the perfect amount each time. This didn’t irritate my skin or cause any breakouts as well so that’s always a plus for me.⁣ ⁣ Overall, I was very impressed by this moisturizer. It kept my skin hydrated, nourished, and moisturized all at a great price and I just love the pump jar packaging. I would definitely repurchase this again in the future. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Rating: 4/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #TheInkeyList

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi This moisture cream is non-pigmented, fragrance-free and preservative-free. Its formula with fermented reishi mushroom extract and adaptogenic herbs allows it to soothe and calm the skin. It doesn't have a greasy texture and is instead very lightweight and moisturizing. I recommend it to those with non-sensitive skin! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Drunk Elephant is a very popular "clean beauty" brand! This is an anti-aging facial cream with a moisturizing gel-like texture, and it can be used by people with oily skin too! It also contains extracts, mainly soybean and stem cell extracts. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations This product contains panthenol and glycerin that can repair skin! It's non-pigmented and fragrance-free! It's also very sensitive skin friendly. It feels a bit greasy and heavy, so those with oily skin may not like it that much! I highly recommend it for people with dry skin.

🌟Trust Me! You Can't Miss Them in Sephora🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
🌟Trust Me! You Can't Miss Them in Sephora🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
I'd like to share with you some of the products I've purchased from Sephora.I have combination-dry and sensitive skin. The skin on my cheeks is especially fragile with visible blood vessel dilation, but I have a normal T-zone which only gets occasionally oily. So, I always choose skincare products which are lightweight, moisturizing, non-greasy and spread easily. They should be scent-free,colorant-free, essential oil-free, metal-free, etc. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum This is a fragrance-free, essential oil-free hyaluronic acid serum which is not particularly thin in texture but it is lightweight and moisturizing. It neither balls-up nor irritates my skin, and it's really cheap too. I highly recommend this serum. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Omega Repair Cream It has a frosty, soft and delicate texture which spreads easily. It is moisturizing, non-greasy and is easily absorbed. Its ingredients include squalane, glycerin, omega fatty acids, shea butter, skin-friendly hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. These promotional ingredients are actually listed as the first two rows of the ingredient list. It is moisturizing and nourishing, and it repairs the skin barrier. Also fragrance-free and essential oil-free, it is suitable for dry skin. However, the moisturizer from the same series contains ginger extract which is not very sensitive skin-friendly. boscia - Purifying Cleansing Gel The ingredient list shows that it's fragrance-free and essential oil-free. It creates a soft and rich foam which washes off easily and doesn't leave your skin feeling dry. I've never used a cleansing product that feels better on the skin. CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm It is suitable for sensitive and dry skin because it is fragrance-free, preservative-free, and essential oil-free. Ranking second on the ingredient list is safflower seed oil, which nourishes our skin and doesn't damage the stratum corneumwhen removing makeup. I personally think that this cleansing balm is the best facial cleanser for sensitive skin. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex Firming Eye Serum This eye cream contains plant extracts, and although it is not a common fragrance which irritates the skin, those with sensitive skin should still be aware of it. Its main featured ingredient is peptide. It's actually very moisturizing and hydrating, but it is also relatively more expensive. If you have used any of these products, share your experience! If you have any question, feel free to let me know. 🌵🌵🌵

Nightly routine saved my Dry skin 🌙🌙
Nightly routine saved my Dry skin 🌙🌙
These have saved my skin. These are great for my sensitive skin and has helped prevent dry flaky patches The glossier milky jelly cleanser feels amazing on the skin. It doesn’t foam up which is great since it feels like a moisturizer. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser After washing my face I love using the ordinary hyaluronic acid, it helps keep my skin moist. When you first apply it it soaks into your skin quick so make sure you follow with moisturizer immediately. Pro tip✨✨: make sure you pat it into your skin instead of rubbing it in. It prevents wrinkles and goes into the skin evenly. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I follow with the kiehls ultra facial cream and it’s my holy grail. On initial application it feels amazing. It’s so soft and it’s not super heavy or thick. I’m almost out of this and I will definitely buy another one. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream I apply the drunk elephant f-balm as my last step for the night and it locks all the moisture in without my face looking greasy. It’s my holy grail. DRUNK ELEPHANT - F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask Lips need some loving too so I love using the glossier balm dot calm in mint. It feels amazing and the scent is very delicious. I am obsessed with mint scents. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom Also make sure you drink lots of water everyday, it’s amazing for your skin and also for your health. Yes everyone says you should do it but once I make the switch to drinking more water everyday I definitely see the difference. It takes time so you gotta do it all your life.

DRUNK ELEPHANT MOISTURIZER PRODUCT REVIEW
DRUNK ELEPHANT MOISTURIZER PRODUCT REVIEW
I’ve been using this moisturizer for 3 months now. Here are my thoughts: -OVERALL OPINION: The moisturizer is probably at the top of my list of favorites [my favorite of all time being Clinique’s Moisture Surge Replenishing Hydrator]. While it has a thick texture, it absorbs instantly into my skin. Immediate results include baby-soft texture of the skin, slight increase in visible brightness of the skin, and an overall glow. -PACKAGING: I love the function of the packaging [pump allows for as little contamination as possible as opposed to other moisturizers that require you to dip your fingers into the whole pot to access the product]. I also like that it helps with portion size, as this is not cheap and only requires a small bit to deliver results. -USE: I use it in the morning as a sort of primer in the morning before applying foundation & at night before bed. It gives me a good base for foundation throughout the day & gives my skin a beautiful glow when I wake up the next morning. -SCIENCE: Polypeptides are simply a chain of amino acid residues that form part of [or an entire] protein molecule. This means that this moisturizer is a combo of amino acids & signal peptides [which function to prompt, or “signal” a cell to transport a protein to the cellular membrane]. These elements combine to mimic human peptides, meaning the ingredients work to help encourage your skin’s cell turnover without overworking your body’s natural system of production. All this to say, this moisturizer encourages collagen production which makes me happy because that means constant brightness & plumpness in my skin. I always believe what you put on the outside of your body should mirror what you put on the inside of your body. This moisturizer checks that box perfectly. -VALUE: $68 at Sephora. Definitely a splurge. I might purchase again in the future, but I think there are so many other products with lower price points that do a good job at delivering [although this moisturizer has specific ingredient combinations that are hard to mimic & find in dupes & might not perform as well as this one does in problems it was intended to address].

Perfect Match for Skin Recovery
Perfect Match for Skin Recovery
Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules+First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Main Ingredients: Ceramindes 1,3&6, Tsubaki oil, Fatty Acides / Colloidal Oatmeal, Shea Butter, Ceramide-3 Ceraminde can be said a powerful ingredient which can moisturize and maintain hydration. It also effective in recovering skin barrier, enhancing skin elasticity and anti-aging. My skin is dry and a bit sensitive. I would add both Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream into my night care routine. The main ingredient of Aden capsules Ceraminde aims at repairing and recovering. one capsule at a time, which is exactly the amount of the entire face needed. The texture of it is essence oil. It absorbs well when massage it. I can feel my skin absorbs enough water immediately. It's so so hydrated.  FAB cream contains ceramide and shea butter, which can soothe the skin and add necessary oil to my skin to maintain the balance. It is creamy texture, but it is very light and thin. It has a good repair effect. When experiencing the season changing or my skin is sensitive, the combination of these two Is my savior. Getting up the next morning with a super soft and not oily skin.
