Before and After HALLOWEEN Skincare Tips 🎃💀👻

I love Halloween with the costumes, the treats, and scary movies. What's not to love. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the fun we can forget about our activities of daily living. So I just wanted to give you guys some tips on how to get through today!!!
Before putting on your Halloween makeup remember to exfoliate, hydrate and prime your skin. Healthy nourished skin is the best base for any makeup routine. You can exfoliate and hydrate with one of my favorite masks dear, klairs - Youthful Glow Sugar Mask
if you want a hydrating primer my go to is BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer
After dancing the night away in layers of makeup or walking the neighborhood with a scary mask on your face you will need to double cleanse. The best way to break down that makeup and dirt is with an oil cleanser. My favorites are BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing
and I just tried FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm
omg this stuff really breaks down makeup. Then follow up with a gel cleanser to really get in your pores and get the dirt out. I personally like NATURIUM - Mixed Greens Nutrient-Rich Cleanser
they are launching a Niacinamide gel cleanser Nov 1 I'm excited to try it.
After cleansing you can rehydrate your skin with a nourishing mask like I'm from - Honey Mask
or TONYMOLY - I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet
both masks keep my skin plump and hydrated. Throw in a hydrating essence NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2%
or hydrating toner like I'm from - Rice Toner
Skip the actives and finish with a hydrating moisturizer like FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer
Don't forget to hydrate. Water helps flush out those toxins, the candy and/or the alcohol. 😜 Water will help give your skin that healthy glow!!!
If the makeup has left your skin irritated you can try adding some serums like Krave - Great Barrier Relief
or epicuren DISCOVERY - Aloe Vera Calming Gel
to your routine both calm irritated skin. The Krave serum will help soothe your skin while repairing your skins barrier. The Epicuren gel has green tea and camomile which a great anti inflammatory agents.
What are your Halloween plans?? Are you still dressing up are you still participating in Halloween activities?? Hope these tips help!!!

My current Summer Essential Skincare Products ALOE UP - Sport Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 I love how aloe is the first ingredient, so hydrates and goes on smooth, but this formula makes my back break out. It’s just not good for me, but great for someone else. I have not burned when using this. epicuren DISCOVERY - Aloe Vera Calming Gel I cant say enough great things about this product. It’s clean, light, natural. I use face and body like a serum after any sun exposure. It has green tea and chamomile for added anti-inflammatory benefits. I just used it after swimming through a group of baby jellyfish and it helped sooth the stinging and itching immediatly. epicuren DISCOVERY - Refresh Aloe Cucumber Mist Another summer favorite of mine for face and body. I spritz it all day to keep my skin cool and hydrated and help keep heat induced pigmentation at bay. And I love how it smells 🥰 KOPARI - Coconut Deo It feels like a cool gel. I love applying this multiple times a day. It smells so good and I love knowing it doesnt have any bad chemicals in it. All these products are in my current summer essential bag. The only one I’ll switch out is the Aloe Up once it’s gone. Which will be within the next week.

My first retinol - Tretinoin routine
As part of the @cherie and Apostrophe Save My Skin, I got a consult and month of treatment from Apostrophe. My main skin concerns are beginning signs of aging and some dark spots/age spots (hyperpigmentation) that are beginning to appear. A couple of the dark areas on my face are quite pronounced. The Apostrophe process was super simple. Created my account online, answered some questions about my skin concerns, and uploaded some photos of my face and areas of concern, and chose my Dr. All of my information was reviewed by a Dermatologist who suggested a treatment plan to meet my goals. Less than 2 weeks later I had a box at my doorstep! The box from Apostrophe - Topical Formula included my prescription, a sheet detailing my treatment plan, a postcard, and some stickers. Cute. I was prescribed Tretinoin 0.025% + Niacinamide 4%. I’ve been using Niacinamide for about 2 months now, but this is my first prescription retinol experience. I was directed to apply every other night for 2 weeks, if no irritation, move to every night. In order to lessen the chance of irritation I was also directed to use a light moisturizer before and after, use sunscreen daily, avoid eye and mouth area, discontinue use of any acids, and use a moisturizing cleanser as well as a Vitamin C serum each morning. My retinol / Trentinoin daily routine Evening: If I have makeup on I cleanse using BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing or ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm which I also use as a mask of my skin is super irritated. Apply pea size amount of Tretonin + Niacinamide cream over face and half that amount to neck Moisturize with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer Apply BITE - Agave+ Nightime Duo to lips, generic castor oil to brows with a spoolie, and PETER THOMAS ROTH - Lashes to Die for Turbo Nighttime Eyelash Treatment lash serum to my lashes Morning: Cleanse using BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing or ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Apply SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum all over face and neck Use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under eyes Then rose hip oil on areas that feel especially dry or are peel Since it’s only been a couple weeks I will probably end up refining this routine, I’ve noticed dryness mostly around my mouth and nostrils. Highly recommend the Apostrophe process so far! 💙

Starting my Accutane Journey 😬
Hey guys! So today I am starting Accutane. I decided to post my current acne pictures so that I can document my progress through the process. I’ve had acne, in different degrees of severity, for about 7 years. I have painful, cystic acne along with whiteheads. Also, I have never picked my skin, yet I am still almost always left with scars. I have been prescribed every topical product under the sun along with other oral medications. Nothing ever worked. I’ve also tried many different skin care products without success. I only ever have acne on my cheeks and jaw. I will only get a pimple or two on my nose, forehead, etc maybe once or twice a a year. My cheeks are where my acne is concentrated and where it is the worst. I have extremely dry, dehydrated skin that is pretty sensitive. I’m quite concerned how my skin will be on Accutane since it dries out your skin a lot. I don’t think my skin can get much drier 😅 I’m going to post my current skincare routine so I can see if and how it changes throughout Accutane: A.M. 1. Rinse face with water 2.I either go in with The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane or BIODERMA - Hydrabio Sérum 3. Moisturize with Cetaphil - Deep Hydration Healthy Glow Daily Cream OR FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer P.M. 1. Remove makeup using BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing 2.I’m going to switch out my CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser for the CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser 3. Tone with BIODERMA - Hydrabio Tonique 4. Again, either going in wirh the Squalane or Bioderma serum listed above. Occasionally I’ll use hyaluronic acid. 5. Then I’ll moisturize with either the FAB moisturizer listed above or the CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream 6. Cetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream I use various masks once or twice a week as well. Also, I use a chemical exfoliator once a week. This routine keeps me super hydrated currently so I’m hoping it will continue to do so. Is my skincare routine sufficient for Accutane? Any suggestions or warnings 😅 P.S. Sorry that some of the pictures are cropped weird. I use a skincare app and just took screenshots from the app!

Krave Beauty; My Review
Over I wasn’t very impressed. These products are pricey and although I appreciate their mission the products don’t speak for themselves. I tried everything for a little over a month so I could really see how their products work with my skin and over all I didn’t notice much difference besides an increase in acne along my chin line and more texture on my forehead. I did have one day during the month where my skin was flawless and I thought these products were amazing but it quickly faded. Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA I don’t hate this toner. I just did not notice a positive difference in my skin with it. Krave - Great Barrier Relief Good texture, a little oily but that goes away somewhat quickly Krave - The Beet Shield Best sunscreen I’ve tried so far. It does not leave a white cast and does not have a strong scent. It is on the oilier side but my skin tends to be dry so it works well for me. I included a picture of what it looks like on my hand before absorbing for reference. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars is the price for how much you get. It is a small container. I am going to continue to use this sunscreen until I run out and then will be looking for a cheaper option.

Shelfie vs Reality 🪞🤳🤔
Happy Presidents Day!! I was playing around trying to take my first ever shelfie and was struck by two things: 1) styling a shelfie is HARD!!! I am so impressed with the gorgeous, inspirational pictures you all take where a boring medicine cabinet seemingly effortlessly highlights all your best products. I think I have a ways to go. 2) this is soooooo not what my medicine cabinet looks like every day!! I took a step back once the cabinet was full of all my beautiful skincare and just laughed at how far it is from normal. Instead, all my goodies are hidden away in a cabinet. So I restored my shelves to their usual glory to avoid my husbands confusion about where on earth his toothbrush went and thought I’d share our reality. ➡️ swipe to see what the cabinet really looks like around here 🤪 Are there any products in here you want me to review? Let me know!

GREEN GUY, DID YOU BREAK ME OUTTTT???
What do you have to do when the whole internet talk about “DOULE CLEANSING”. I don’t wear any makeup but i have heavy moisturizer and sunscreen so I decided to try. And all point to the same product FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm Ok, i got it, what you have to do, head to Sephora and pick it up. Hold it in hand, i’m feel so happy 😂😂😂 I use it immediately the night i got it, i have to say: i love the color, i love the smell... the texture look like rock at the first sight but when you use the scoop, it actually like butter. I’m in love 🥺🥺🥺 When i use the balm, it’s very easy to spread, melt quickly. I added some water and it transfer to liquid. After that, i pair with my usual cleanser. After the first night, my face had small pimples. But not a problem. I still try the balm... the second day, more pimples coming, bigger qnd bigger. Painful, redness and itching 😭😭😭 And finally, after 3 days trying, i can feel my face screaming “I DON’T LIKE THAT GUY, THE GREEN GUY” 🤢 So i guess i have to come back with my lovely micellar waterBIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water this is is light like water, made my face feel nothing, but i have wipe my face about 3 times to make sure it’s clean. I will going to return FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm i thought that “my green dream”. If you have any cleaning balm good for acne, oily skin. Please, tell me. I appreciate 🥰🥰🥰

My January 2021 empties
Looks like I emptied many of the cleansing products. Star of the month goes to: Bronze - BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream likely to repurchase when finished other eye cream inventories. This is somewhat rich eye cream and glide on easily. Silver - FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm got silver just because it has attracted everyone’s attention. I still have one big jar to go then will try something else after. Gold - DHC - DHC Lip Cream this is something I can’t live without and will never trade for anything else. Will definitely keep repurchasing!

Dropping Honey 🍯
Coming at ya with another moisturizer review. It’s a sleepless night so what’s a girl to do but talk and binge on skincare! 🤪 FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer has been apart of my skincare cabinet for just about three years now. It was the first moisturizer I tried of theirs and really enjoyed it. Since then they have come out with two new products, their FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer being my preferred choice. What is it: A lightweight, hydrating gel-cream moisturizer that nourishes the skin. Helps with dryness, dullness, uneven texture and loss of firmness and elasticity. Best for: All skin types Highlighted Ingredients: Farmacy’s own proprietary honey blend - hydrates and nourishes the skin. Triple Hyaluronic Acid - moisturizes, supports firmness and elasticity Capuacu Butter Beads - skin softening and moisturizing Price: $45 for 1.7 oz As you can see in the photos this is definitely a light moisturizer. It sinks easily into my skin leaving no residue behind. I absolutely love this texture even though I typically favor a thicker, richer cream. I find this easy to work with my other skincare products as well as my makeup. No pilling! It does have a light honey scent which Farmacy states is a natural fragrance. This comes with a metal spatula that magnetically 🧲 attaches to the lid which helps for sanitary reasons. No finger scooping needed! I can’t say I saw all the benefits beyond hydration and moisturizing but I definitely enjoy the butter beads and the hyaluronic acid in this. It really is a hydrating cream for a lightweight formula. I feel like Honey Drop and Honey Halo can be your summer and winter moisturizers. Honey Drop being your lightweight summertime formula whereas Honey Halo offers just a bit more of a punch being a great option for those dry winter months. At $45 it is a pricier moisturizer. I do find I only need the amount shown to get full coverage. A container usually lasts me about two months. Bonus, the jar is recyclable! ♻️ As always, Farmacy is cruelty free 🐰 Have you tried any of Farmacy’s moisturizers? If so, which do you prefer? When I first started using Farmacy they were still a bit green but becoming more and more talked about. They had a pretty simple product line to choose from. In the three years I’ve been using the brand they’ve grown so much, not only in popularity but also in expanding their products. ❤️🍒

This deserves its Halo!
I’ve only been able to try this mini size of FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer but I gotta say, it really knocked my socks off! 🤪 What is it: An intense moisturizer that replenishes dry, distressed skin with lasting hydration. Best for: Normal & Dry Highlights: Helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, dryness, and loss of firmness and elasticity. - Buckwheat Honey: soothing and hydrating - Fig Fruit Extract: Binds and restores moisturize - Ceramides: Prevent moisturize loss and replenish skin barrier. Price: $45 for 1.7 oz My experience: Again, I only got about two weeks worth of product to test but I felt this was a winner right away. It’s rich. It’s creamy. It sinks immediately into the skin leaving no sticky residue. While it is a rich cream it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I didn’t have enough to use to know if it offered the benefits the brand claims other than soothing hydration. It has very light honey scent that quickly dissipates on the skin. I personally like a comforting cream and this one did it for me! What I can also appreciate is Farmacy kept out unwanted irritants like fragrance, oils and certain extracts. The ingredient list does state *flavor (aroma) but not exactly what it is. At $45 it is on the pricey side for a moisturizer. I have gone through and looked at several well-known brands and Farmacy is priced within the same range. You can get more bang for your buck by choosing less expensive brands like CeraVe, First Aid Beauty, The Ordinary and The Inkey List. (I chose brands who have clean, fragrance-free ingredients). Also to note: Cruelty Free Gluten Free Comes with a metal spatula that adheres to the top of the lid so you won’t lose it! My only complaint is I HATE the metal scrapping across the glass jar (like nails on a chalkboard 😬) Jar is recyclable Are you going to try Honey Halo? 🍯 🐝 Be sure to give me a 👏 and a follow 🚶‍♀️if you like my content! ❤️🍒

How I Fight My Bad Sleeping Habits With Korean Beauty🤭🤭
This quarantine has affected everyone’s sleeping habits, spending so much time at home without any pressure of waking up early, has given us the freedom to stay up late to relax and enjoy watching a movie or simply procrastinating in anything that can easily entertain us. I’m guilty as charged! I’ve tried fixing my bad sleeping habits, but even before quarantine I already had big issues sleeping early so this is made it worse in my opinion. Not sleeping correctly has some effects on our skin like making it look dull and more prone to wrinkles as well. Luckily for us, there are some products designed to fight these issues and Korean beauty brands are experts at making them. Koreans are known, among many other things, for how beautiful and almost perfect their skin look. I’m sure it has crossed our mind, more than once, to have clear and soft skin like famous K-pop idols, whose skin looks like porcelain. A girl can dream right? Skincare if part of their culture for sure, and maybe the western world could learn a thing or two about adding it to our weekly routines, and with this help common skincare related issues caused by bad sleeping habits. Today I’ll tell you about 2 products of one of my favorite Korean brands which you probably heard of before, Tony Moly.   TONYMOLY - I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet- Ever since I found out about the existence of sheet masks, I felt really curious about them, and knew I had to try them. Not sleeping correctly messes up with the skin’s PH levels, lowering them and causing dry skin. That’s why a sheet mask is a great alternative with fast results. Tony Moly offers a great variety depending of masks, depending on your skin’s concern. I’m particularly a fan of anything Aloe Vera related, so when I saw this mask and didn’t think twice and I chose this one. It’s my favorite ever since. It’s a 3-layer sheet soaked in enriched Aloe Vera extract and it’s focused on providing maximum hydration to your skin. It should be applied after you clean your face and pat it dry. Simply leave it on for 20-30 minutes and massage any leftover product into your skin. You don’t want to waste any of it! It leaves my skin with a healthy glow and it feels revitalized. You can find it in Ulta and it’s really affordable, less than $4 USD.   TONYMOLY - Cat's Purrfect Brightening Eye Mask - I LOVE cute packaging and anything related to cats, so this was a must as soon as I saw it on the shelf. This is like a sheet mask but aimed only for the eyes, making it ideal for when you have puffy eyes and a dull look. It has some interesting ingredients that you don’t typically see on most sheet masks, like milk protein, pumpkin, watermelon and lettuce, but they all have an specific purpose that will help reduce fine lines around your eyes and brighten your skin. Simply leave it on for 15 minutes and you are done! Don’t forget to use and extra product on areas where the sheet didn’t fully cover like under your eyes. Massage the product like with the previous product until it’s fully absorbed.

YTTP: Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask ☀️
Hey guys this is my YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask routine. First I double cleanse: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm Double cleanse NATURIUM - Mixed Greens Nutrient-Rich Cleanser Hydrate: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha Then I applied YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask The next morning my skin was brighter and very moisturized. It was a good quick nighttime skincare routine. Let's talk highlighted ingredients: Maqui: The most antioxidant dense fruit in the world. This rare superberry helps combat free radicals. Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate): Super potent and non-irritating. Vitamin C firms and brightens the look and feel of skin. Squalane: Mimics your skin’s natural oils to boost skin hydration without the risk of clogged pores. Prickly Pear: Extremely hydrating. Helps ease signs of redness. Have you tried this mask?? What's your favorite sleep mask??

The perfect toner for dry, sensitive skin!
Did you know this toner is made with 77.78% rice extract? PRODUCT: @imfrom_global Rice Toner is a dual layer toner consisting of a water layer and emulsion layer. This toner is meant to prevent water loss, eliminate dead skin cells and provide hydration to rebalance skin. MY THOUGHTS: I’ve been using this toner on and off for a few months and I find myself reaching for it every time my skin feels dry and/or dull. It has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly and feels really soft and smooth upon application. I have noticed some brightening effects but not much. This toner is amazing for dry, sensitive skin. It has this fresh, cooling feeling I love! Definitely recommend SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰This product is vegan and cruelty-free

Current Products I'm Using
I have oil/combo skin and been struggling with hormonal acne for a few years now which is mainly around my chin. I have noticed some positive changes but also some negative ones, for example I have more blackheads in areas besides my nose which I never had before. Here are the products I've been using lately. AM Routine I don't cleanse in the morning just splash water on my face and pat dry, then I apply PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster after I apply moisturizer e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free then sunscreen Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract PM Routine During the day I don't wear much makeup just some mascara so I just use GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water for my first cleanse, then I go in with PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore Normalizing Cleanser which I am just about out of so I will be using CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanserwhich I haven't tried before but decided to buy it because of all the hype! Than I apply my toner and depending on my skin at the time I will either use PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner or I'm from - Rice Toner I have just recently purchased and starting using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% then I moisturizer with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator twice a weeks and PAULA'S CHOICE - 1% Retinol Treatment with Peptides + Vitamin C 3 times a week. My skin is still breaking out so I'm gonna try eliminating certain products to see if I can pin point what is causing the breakouts and blackheads. I recently purchased a cleansing brush and I'm gonna start by eliminating the Paulas choice BHA Exfoliator and start using the brush 2 or 3 times a week instead. If that's not the problem then I'm gonna try taking out the Vitamin C. If anyone has any advice or tips I am all ears!!!

Jeffree Star Concealer? It’s a no from me!
It’s no secret that Jeffree Star has made some amazing cosmetics such as lipsticks or highlighters. I finally made the decision to try out his concealer which I have heard good things about - but I regret it. Application? I applied this concealer on top of BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer which has been my go to for a short time now but I find it works well with majority of my products! Unfortunately, as I applied with my beauty blender, it immediately dried severely into my under eye lines and emphasised them in a way I have never seen before. It also made foundation patch away and just didn’t sit right on my skin. It looked I had worn the makeup for days. Longevity? Due to the dryness of my concealer, it did last quite long, I think I wore it for about 6-7 hours and it looked the same as I first applied it which is a plus but it unfortunately looked so dry and cracked underneath. Coverage? For me, one layer was not enough to disguise my under eyes, I had to use two layers which meant double the dryness. I don’t mind using two layers as I typically do with my other concealers. It did give quite a good coverage but this was just so dry. I even added rosehip oil to see if it would make a difference and it was still so dry! Shades? Something I do really like about the JSC concealer is that it does come in 31 shades! Meaning most likely, no matter your skin colour you should be able to find a compatible shade! I really love this as everyone should be able to have their own shade of concealer. Final thoughts? This is just not my favourite concealer as it’s so drying! It’s not the worst ever but there’s so many other options including hydrating concealers that work best for me. I love the shade range and long wearing of the concealer but there’s just so many downfalls such as the dryness and patchiness. Thank you so much for reading and I hope this review helps you! Please leave any Q’s if you’d like☺️ I also now have an Instagram where I will be posting skincare, makeup, fitness, wellness and travel content if you’d like to check it out! @Jesssiemadison

2 Step Routine - Flawless skin!
Hi all!! I recently have been buying and testing out so much new makeup to find amazing makeup although there have been some hits and misses that I will be posting soon so keep an eye out for them! But I have found these 2 lovely products which work really well together! First step: Primer The first step is the laura mercier - Hydrating Pure Canvas Primer which is an amazing silicone free primer that really creates a soothing, hydrating base to prep the foundation and all other makeup products which allows the makeup to look non-cakey and drying. The best part about this primer is that you can use it just on its own for a glowy base also! I got mine in a sample tube (25ml) and I will definitely be repurchasing the full size when I’m finished. I have been testing out new primers as I have a wedding coming up which there will be so many photos taken so I want to have a really nice makeup look. I have also tried the BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer which I thought was my holy grail but now I’m torn between these 2! Both primers create such a great base for the makeup which is why I’m so stuck! I’m yet to decide which one I will use but I will keep an update. Second step: Foundation This foundation I have wanted to try since I was in High School but I could never afford or get my hands on it! So I was super excited to try it! The NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation met my expectations 100%! It’s literally looks like facetune! It doesn’t emphasise any texture or dryness which is a big factor for me choosing and rating a foundation. It’s buildable coverage so if you like medium-full coverage makeup this is perfect for you and you can choose which coverage you are feeling or what your skin needs. Results? These 2 have perfectly made a place in my makeup routine! By using them together I have glass skin and looks flawless more than any other products I have used - definitely a staple in spring! The primer and foundation used together makes my foundation last all day and I don’t notice any creasing. I 100% recommended you try these for a glass skin base. Thanks for reading loves! ☺️🌻

Current Favorite Masks
dear, klairs - Youthful Glow Sugar Mask I was very skeptical of this product because I really don't like physical exfoliators but I really love this product. I applied the mask to my face and left it on for 10 minutes. My skin was soooooooo soft, very hydrated and looked very bright afterwards. I didn't scrub very much instead I used warm water to rinse my face. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator I do find this mask to be very hydrating and cooling but its just not my favorite. Although I do use it every other day to soothe my skin from all the active ingredients I have been using lately. I do plan on re-purchasing. I'm from - Honey Mask I saved the best for last! I love love love this mask. The texture, the natural smell and how my skin looks afterwards. Recently I have a eliminated all synthetic fragrance from my skin care routine. So it's nice to have a nice smell from a product. I truly believe that Honey has antibacterial properties and this mask helps combat my minimal acne. My skin is very hydrated afterwards. I will definitely be re-purchasing this mask. Any suggestions on hydrating mask??? I'd love to hear your feedback.

10 Step Korean skin care routine!
After hearing how good the 10 step Korean skin care routine is, I decided to try it myself. All of the products above are from sokoglam 10 step skincare kit. (sokoglam has four pre-curated sets you can buy for your specific skin type). I’ve used them for over a month and noticed that my skin has become dry and rough! So I’ve stopped using all of them together and introduced one product at a time and figured out the toner has caused the dryness. So I discontinued using that. I liked a few products and others not so much, I’ll be doing the reviews for each product separately soon. Stay tuned. 10 step korean skincare didnt really work for my skin like it worked for other women who have amazing stories about how their skin has transformed. Anyway I think you can give it a try and see if it works for you. Also, it’s a good intro to k-beauty products. 10 steps : - Oil cleanser - water based cleanser - Exfoliator - Toner - Essence - Treatments - sheet masks (2 to 3 times a week) - eye cream - moisturizer - SPF If you don’t want to buy all the products, you can start with - oil cleanser - water based cleaner - exfoliator - moisturizer -SPF Let me know your 10 step Korean skin care stories!

5 Step Skincare Routine?!?!
5 Step Skincare Routine?!?!
Everyone always asks me what is your skincare routine. I get a little hesitant to tell them because I do not want to overwhelm them with my 5-6 step routine. But who am I to make the decision for them. Here is my full skincare routine with my favorite skin care products at the moment. Step 1: I cleanse with my @tatchabeauty Deep Cleanse. You can use this gel cleaner everyday. It's great for normal to oily skin and has a natural fruit exfoliant to get deep and clean out all the dirt in your skin. Step 2: I use the @goodmolecules Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches I do not do this step all the time but maybe once or twice a week. These eye patches are amazing. They hydrate, firm and energize tired eyes. They come in handy whenever I've had a long without sleep. I put these babies on the next day and I look like I’ve had a full night of sleep. Step 3: I tone my skin with the @goodmolecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner. This tone is my holy grail. I have seen a major difference in the brightness of my skin. I usually gently swipe the toner over my skin with a cotton pad and let dry before I move onto the next step. Step 4 : Serum. My go to serum at the moment is the @goodmolecules Discoloration Correcting Serum. This has helped me tremendously with the hyperpigmentation around my mouth and cheeks. I do not know what I would do with this serum and definite must have. Step 5: Last but not least I finish my routine with @tatchabeauty Water Cream. I love how light weight it is. It does not leave the skin weighted down with product not to mention the amazing scent of wild rose. I’m obsessed. This is perfect for normal to oily skin and great for minimizing your pores.

Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cl
Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser & Kale-Lalu-yAHA 🌿 This jelly textured cleanser is a joy to use. It’s never drying nor strips the skin. I end up with skin that’s clean, hydrated and soft. This cleanser contains antioxidant powerhouse matcha. Matcha is a form of green tea with an exponential number of antioxidants like polyphenols such as EGCG in comparison to regular green tea. The green tea plants are grown in the shade for a few weeks prior to processing which increases the chlorophyll levels 🍵 This cleanser is perfect if you want a gentle cleanser packed full of antioxidants that won’t dry your skin out. The texture is just plain fun! I love acid toners as I prefer chemical exfoliation. Kale-Lalu-yAHA uses 5.25% glycolic acid to gently yet effectively exfoliate the skin. I love that this acid toner also contains antioxidant packed dark leafy greens like kale, spinach and parsley. It’s well rounded as it’s combined with soothers and hydrators like hyaluronic acid, aloe, allantoin and B5. There’s a few extras like chlorella minutissima extract (an antioxidant packed algae) & malachite extract—a powerful antioxidant that seeks out free radicals。 Kale-Lalu-yAHA has become my all time favorite acid toner (besides P50) for its ability to be effective and gentle at the same time!

Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
Is your skin craaazy dry? Read my do’s and don’t
I’ve got very dry skin in the colder months. I also live in a dry environment. I’ve put together some general do’s and donts that work for me when my skin is seriously dry. Now, please note that I enjoy 99% of the products I’m going to mention, but some I just have to reserve for using in warmer months when my skin is less dry. DO pay attention to what kind of first cleanse you use. I like FORMULA 10.0.6 - Bare Face Beauty Skin-Hydrating Cleansing Oil because it breaks down my makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft. DON’T use a first cleanse that dries your skin out like the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm (a little bit drying) DO look at ingredients lists and brand descriptions of cleansers. Opt for something with a gel or milky texture that either doesn’t lather are all, or barely lathers. I enjoy the bareMinerals - Pureness Gel Cleanser (but not if you’re sensitive to coconut). DON’T use a cleanser with harsh acids, such as salicylic acid in the TRULY - CBD Jelly Anti Acne Facial Cleanser , because they can dry out your skin even more. DO use a hydrating toner. I love the PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Advanced Replenshing Toner because it contains hyaluronic acid and has a soothing, milky texture. DON’T use toners with astringent properties or essential oils like the MARIO BADESCU - Witch Hazel & Lavender Toner (I steaigjt is just don’t really like this even when my skin isn’t super dry). Toners with those ingredients can dry your skin out further. DO layer and mix serums (make sure you do some research first!). I enjoy the Wyldflower Labs - Sunshine Serum - Multitasking Day Repair Serum and LILY SADO - Green Tea + Vitamin C Super Serum . DO use some chemical exfoliants when experiencing a breakout, but be careful to use a concentrated spot application. I like the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator because it is effective and can be easily applied in an affected area. I use this 1-3x/wk in the PM. DON’T use harsh chemical exfoliants and don’t use them too frequently. The YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner is very strong. It can cause irritation, especially on dry areas, and if used to often has caused white heads. DO moisturize! I love the pixi - Rose Ceramide Cream when I have stubborn dry patches that won’t go away. I also like the unscented, soothing GOOD MOLECULES - Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer . DON’T use a moisturizer that’s not geared towards extra dry skin like the Clark's Botanicals - Jasmine Vital Cream While this is a nice moisturizer, its light gel texture is more suited for normal-oily skin, or dry skin in the summer.

Youth to the people
It’s a vegan brand, they create consciously source premium superfood blends. Committed to sustainability, they use glass containers to reduce the impact of plastic waste. Glass containers can be recycled and used many times. It’s formulas are also sustainable for the environment. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I have finished the full size and I have this travel size, it’s a gentle soap formulated with cold-pressed antioxidants (kale, spinach and green tea). Regulates pH, removes makeup and prevent buildup in pores without drying. It smells herbaceous and fresh, it has a gel texture. Leaves skin clean and fresh. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner Triple action power toner blends 8% lactic acid and 3% glycolic acid to smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores. It contains two ferments kombucha black tea and tree bark work as prebiotics to improve the skin's microbiome. It causes a little tingling and redness, it’s not one of my favorite toners because it makes the skin sticky but I think it works well, it leaves the skin soft and you notice improvement in the reduction of the pores.

So I had a good, simple routine for a long time and my skin was great! Then I moved and now my skin is so much different. I’ve been using tons of products trying to get results but I think I’ve been tormenting my skin and not giving any one product enough of a chance to do it’s thing so I’m trying to simplify. Right now my skin is dry, dehydrated, red and bumpy and my pores have gotten huge and black and icky and I’m really frustrated. I like to think that I’m knowledgeable about skincare but I still have a lot to learn. If you have any thoughts on my current products that would help the most! I have a lot and need a real routine. AM routine: Rinse my face with water. If I’m oily (which isn’t often) I will go in with THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner but only on my t-zone, my cheeks can’t handle it. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream VERSED - Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum a little greasy but non irritating and only if I go outside. PM: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm only if I wear makeup and spf For cleansers I’ve been using DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Too Faced - Hangover Wash The Day Away Gentle Foaming Cleanser I also have a sample size of belif - Aqua Bomb Jelly CleanserI haven’t used and sometimes I will VERY GENTLY scrub with fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I have 3 different toners, I use fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner but it’s started to sting a bit with all the fragrance. I just purchased LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizerand also GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Tonerwhich I want to incorporate instead. Maybe alternate? I loved FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry but I think it went bad bc it stings so much now. I use PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum every day but I might switch to DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serumthoughts? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi never switching! other products I own: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping MaskGLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I DEW CARE - Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

First Impressions: Krave Beauty 🌊
First Impressions: Krave Beauty 🌊
I’ve been wanting to try out this brand for so long because not only did read wonders about its formulations and ingredients but also because of their mission and stance on environmental sustainability 🌱 💡About the Brand: The focus for the brand was to simplify your skin care routine to the essentials and to repair of your skin’s natural barrier function. Alongside simplifying the skin care routine, the company stands for the reduction of overconsumption. For example: using up your products before restocking- this process will help consumers to purchase products less frequently, thus reducing waste and mass production. ❗️ Krave Beauty has 6 products categorized into either core (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) or supplement (toner, serum) ✅ The Products: Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Creamy. Light. Nourishing. Plumpness. I have normal skin leaning toward oily in the summer. When I look for moisturizers I’m not one to look for extra extra light ones. THIS ONE is a good medium between light and heavy. It makes me feel hydrated long after applied. Krave - Great Barrier Relief First thought was - hmm this smells different. I can’t really put my finger on it BUT I don’t think it’s a bad smell. And once you work it in, the smell dissipates. It’s a light weight creamy serum that easily sinks into your skin. I bought this because Liah claims that the Tamanu Oil in the serum will help with scarring and hyperpigmentation. I’m excited to test this out long term and see if my scars fade away! Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Amazing soft scent. I definitely notice the oat and matcha (since I consume those often 😂). The cleanser is gentle and lightly foams when you work it in. I let my face dry afterwards and sat with it for about 15 minutes and I did not feel dryness AT ALL. 💭 Overall Thoughts: As for a first impression, I don’t think I have any bad things to say about it tbh. No Fragrance. Nourishing Ingredients. Suitable for all skin types. IM A FAN 🤩 I’ll have to check in in a couple of months to give an updated review.
