eye cream so BRIGHT 🌟🌞⚡️💥
OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème thank you cherie for gifting me my first ever eye cream !! I had heard so much about this product, so I was super excited to try it. the first thing we gotta talk about is the scent. i’m not the biggest fan of fragrance in skin care, but this product is too good that I don’t mind at all ! it smells like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice 🍊 and I love it ! as you can see, the texture of this product is amazing! it has a creamy thick texture that glides on the skin so smoothly. I guess a disclaimer would be that I don’t have dark under eyes, but I do notice a difference when I put this on! it brightens my whole under eye area and makes me look so much more awake! a little goes a really really long way with this product ! even if the tub is a little small, I don’t see it running out any time soon. $39USD for 0.5oz
MY 2020 FAVS 🌟🌟
2020 was my year for amping my skincare journey up to the next level! I found so many amazing products, and some that just didn’t make the cut, but here are some of my favs from 2020 that I’m bringing into 2021 with me ☺️ CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin i’ve talked about this one on my page before but it’s the best cleanser that I have ever tried ! the ingredients are packed full with skin treating ingredients such as niacinamide, salicylic acid and ceramids. it’s super hydrating, yet really gets the job done of cleansing my face and helping with present and future acne. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil if you don’t double cleanse, here is your sign to start! I have combo skin with large pores that are my worst nemesis. now I am not saying this gets rid of your pores (that’s unfortunately impossible), but it pulls out oil plugs, removes dirt, makeup and anything on your face from the day. this is my most satisfying step of my nightly routine and I know that i’ll be oil cleansing for the long run. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I think i’ve probably talked about this product maybe 10 times on my account, so that’s saying something about how great it is!! it’s such a gentle yet strong exfoliator that has helped my hormonal acne, uneven skin tone and reduced my redness and irritation. it’s packed with a punch and is an all round holy grail of mine. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution this one for me almost does the same trick as the paula’s choice 2% bha exfoliant, but it’s definitely a lot stronger. I love doing this once a week as a little recharge for my skin. another pro with this product is that a little goes a long way, so it lasts a long time! THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum you could call me a retinol newbie as I just got into it recently. since I just started, this one has been amazing! as it’s not good to start out with a strong retinol, I definitely recommend this one! it’s helped so much with my skin in terms of uneven skin tone, acne, and I think my blackheads are slowly decreasing. peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner day and night I use this and I love it ! it’s super duper gentle, yet is such a great toner. this is my first product i’ve used which includes snail mucin, but i’m digging it!! it’s helped so much with irritation and redness, as well as aiding present pimples, and preventing future ones. innisfree - Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36 the first proper face sunscreen that I have purchased! it doesn’t have a strong SPF smell and not too much white cast at all. I may be trying another SPF soon just to compare, but so far so good with this one! OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème I love it ! amazing smell, texture & has a nice tint to it to help reduce dark circles!
Kiehls is the real deal
Kiehl's - Calendula Deep Clean Foaming Face Wash I’ve slowly come to realize that Kiehls is the real deal. This face was is perfect for me. I only use it in the morning, it’s so gentle, and doesn’t strip my natural oils away at all. It’s perfect foundation for me to apply my other products and makeup on :) soon I’ll post my day and night routine for you guys! But for now just know that I recommend this for morning use! It’s formulated with Calendula Extract, this is a creamy gel formula that activates with water to create a dense foam. It’s cleans away impurities and dirt. It’s for oily skin and normal skin. Key Ingredients Calendula Native to the Mediterranean, Calendula Extract and Calendula Petals are known for their skin soothing properties and are commonly used in skincare products for oily skin types. For many centuries, Calendula has been highly regarded as a medicinal herb in both Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine Glycerin a well-known skincare ingredient, is highly compatible and naturally occurring within skin. It’s a powerful humectant known to help retain moisture and soften skin. Definitely give this a shot if you are looking for a new face wash 💛
My skincare routine for clogged pores
Growing up I’ve struggled a lot with my skin. Even when I finally stopped getting pimples I struggled with clogged pores which I was worse because every time I used makeup it was very visible. I kept using a LOT of skincare products hoping something would help but it just made things worse. SO I completely got rid of everything I was using and just started with Kiehl’s Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream Kiehl's - Calendula Deep Clean Foaming Face Wash and Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask which completely changed my skin for the better. I really struggled to find a moisturizer that didn’t give me clogged pores and this one really made a dramatic difference to my skin. I also use the KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW as my serum sometimes and it leave my skin really soft and glowing. Now I started adding the ordinary skincare products to my routine and it’s been helping my skin a lot. I use the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for my pores and I also lovee The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and use it everyday to keep my skin healthy looking. Sometimes I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution or The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I don’t use it too often (twice a week) because these products a little too strong for me. I also started adding The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA to my skincare routine to help with my pigmentations. I use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG sometimes under my eyes but I didn’t see any difference. And since I have darker skin tone most sunscreen leave a very bad white cast on my skin and I’ve been loving PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ it feels like a moisturizer and the ingredients are really good!! Hope this helps anyone that’s struggling with clogged pores like me.

oily skin & don’t know how to manage? I got you
this post is for all the people who have oily skin and sometimes just don’t know how to deal with it! well i’m here for some tips! I have oily/combo skin and I’ve learnt some important info during my skincare journey that I would love to share with you all 🤗 1. still moisturise it is super important for people with oily skin to keep up with moisturising ! you may think that your skin is hydrated and doesn’t need any extra moisture, but it still really does. if you don’t moisturise, or use products to keep your skin hydrated, your skin can overcompensate with releasing it’s natural oils, which in hand, can make your skin more oily 2. don’t be afraid of oils whether this is oil cleansing or any certain type of oil (rosehip, squalane etc), don’t be hesitant to use these products just because of your skin type. for me, oils have made a huge difference to my skin, especially oil cleansing! one thing to remember with oil cleansing, is that oils attract oils, and therefore are oil soluble. products like this help to get rid of grease, blackheads etc and can be great for oily skin! 3. use products targeted for oily skin I know that this one is quite self explanatory, but here are some products that helped my oily skin become more manageable! - niacinamide. this ingredient is amazing for oily skin ! it helps to decrease oil production from within the skin. my fav product is NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% , but I also don’t mind The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% -exfoliation. now with this I don’t mean physical exfoliation, but chemical exfoliation! my favourite exfoliant has to be PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this one is my HOLY GRAIL product of them all ! I have many posts on this product so be sure to check those out for an in depth description. - clay face masks. these are good for absorbing oil and giving your face a matte finish. some of my favs are PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I hope this helps and if you have any questions, feel free to comment 🌟🥰
So I thought I would do a skin update. All the products I’ve been using have been tagged in the first photo. I’ve started this new regime a while back when my acne got really bad after I tried oil cleansing. And it’s been a long and difficult road since then and I noticed my skins needs have changed a little bit so I decided to update my routine. I have combination skin and the skin on my forehead is really dry and so is the area around my mouth but my nose and my cheeks are super oily. So I’ve decided to start usingThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5to help combat this as well as The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilto further hydrate my skin. I also need a new sunscreen because I wasn’t a fan of the Neutrogena ultra sheer. The sunscreen would take a really long time to rub it in and if I got the sunscreen on my eyebrows or any of my hair it would turn white and flake, which wasn’t fun. So I’ve decided to try the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. I’ve also started icing my face recently and I’ve noticed that it helps reduce inflammation from acne. And I’ve also noticed that my facial features have become a little bit more defined but only when I ice my face consistently. While I don’t have much acne around my cheeks anymore, i’ve noticed that I keep getting acne in my upper lip area in the same spots. Although I still don’t know exactly what’s causing this acne I did read that certain toothpaste can contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which can clog pores if you get toothpaste on your skin. So I’ve become hyper aware of toothpaste getting on my skin when I brush my teeth now but I haven’t been paying attention long enough to notice a difference yet. And because of the consistent acne around my lips I have hyper pigmentation and that area is kind of getting dark now. I’m using vitamin C and Azelic acid to treat the hyper pigmentation but I’m not seeing results as fast as I would like. Does anyone know of a way to get faster results or how to treat it more effectively?
RENTINOIDs: the BEST super ingredient
🌸 note: two of the products in my picture are prescription only, high grade retinoids. but i have tagged their drug store dupes that are the SAME product with a lower concentration 🌸 WHAT IS A RETINOL? in the most basic form, a retinoid is a form of VITAMIN A which encourages skin cells to break down and turn over faster, resulting in reduction of acne, wrinkles, dark spots and signs of aging. It promotes collagen production, unclogs pores, and reduces scarring. its actually thickens skin, preventing wrinkles from forming ☀️☀️ALWAYS USE AN SPF WITH RETINOIDS☀️☀️ because your skin cells are dying and regenerating so quickly, you are much more prone to sunburns. read @jensanti‘s comment below for more health cautions! they vary HIGHLY in strength (weak to strong list) - retinoid esters: The weakest version of a retinoid, but is good for sensitive skin, surface level retinol: found in a variety of products, works on the cellular level of skin - adapalene (differin): Used to be prescription only but can now be found in a low-dose age in most drug stores. penetrates deeper and slows the production of sebum with faster cell turnover - retinoic acid (Retin-A/tretinoin): works deeper in the skin, can produce overnight results in the form of dead skin peeling. Very advanced skin cell turnover, as it penetrates and stimulates cell death and production. Skin can become very sensitive, irritated , and red - isotretinoin (Accutane): essentially sebum production is very limited and skin cell turnover is dramatically increased. on ingestible medication that will make your skin peel, dry out, and really kill acne. It’s prescription only but very effective. 🌸 products i use! prescription only: ADAPALENE 0.3% dupe: DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel ADAPALENE is the primary form of retinol in this product. this has been my go to product for years, it makes me less sun sensitive then Retin-A 0.05%, while still giving me excellent skin cell turnover and anti aging benefits. It helped my skin go from absolute shiz to a much cleaner glowing face (see 4th pic) prescription only: RETIN-A 0.05% dupe: janssen - Retino-A 0.05% Tretinoin Cream TRETENOIN is the primary form of retinoid in this product. these two may actually be the same product, but the one that I have I know is usually prescription grade. it will make your skin peel overnight, so I use it as a spot treatment if I get any deep set nodular acne. i used this for a couple years but it made me really sun sensitive, it is very strong! luxury brand: SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum RETINOL ESTER and CoQ10 are the primary forms of retinal in this product. this claims to have a 6.5% blend of stabilize retinoids and botanical retinoid alternative extracts. I think that it is incredibly overpriced for what it is. There are very similar dupes such as those from the inkey list and the ordinary
Honest thoughts on Curology 🧐
𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 is a customized skincare subscription service - i’m sure we’ve all heard of it! Ever since I learned about prescription tretinoin, I knew I had to try it. I like that Curology can prescribe Tretinoin through an online consultation so it saved me a lot of money. I signed up and I received my first bottle in the first week of 2020. 𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 & 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: I have combination, sensitized, acne-prone skin with PIH 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭: I used two formulas: First month (January): Tretinoin 0.01% , Clindamycin 1%, Azelaic Acid 4% Next two months: Tretinoin 0.018%, Clindamycin 1%, Azelaic Acid 8% *NOTE: I specifically asked for tretinoin and azelaic acid * I have been using Adapalene for two months before I started Curology and was at the purging stage. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: My free trial arrived the first week of January and I tried it right away. As per the instructions, I washed my face with a gentle cleanser, applied moisturizer then the cream. I used it 2x a week. I was alternately using it with Adapelene. For the first month, the effects weren’t super obvious - other than my skin becoming smoother and softer feeling than it ever had before. 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: I think my skin was at its worst in my second month of Tretinoin (4th month adapalene). I had more cystic acne and I was literally red all day -- I like to call it my full-on purging stage. I just stuck to it anyway. By this time, my skin was also feeling dry and I had slight peeling. My routine was: cleanser, thick moisturizer, and tretinoin. I was using my formula 3x a week. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: The last weeks of the third month was when I saw the big changes in my skin. I was able to use the cream nightly by this time. Only word I can use to describe it is - shocked. I went from having cystic, red acne and rough patches to having smooth and completely calmed skin. Though left with hyperpigmentations, my skin was better than ever. 𝗪𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐰: After 3 months with Curology (with simplified skin care routine and adapalene) almost all of my cystic acnes were gone. Something I had thought months ago never would be possible. In April, I started my Triluma journey (tretinoin 0.5% + hydroquinone +mild steroid) to treat the hyperpigmentations left behind. I finished my tube last May and from then on used another brand of tretinoin (0.5%) for maintenance and to treat PIH. 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: All I gotta say is that Curology is a great service, for most people. Unfortunately there are some of us for whom the base and/or certain ingredients simply won't work, and I believe that's no fault of Curology. I thoroughly recommend Curology. It’s a great option to get our hands on prescription strength products, like Tretinoin cream, without paying for an expensive private consultation.

This $4 hand soap smells just like Tatcha!
If you love Tatcha products, you’re probably down with their included fragrance that is, in my opinion, quite similar across many products. I haven’t tried every Tatcha product, but I’ve tried a lot of them. This is such a good find! So affordable, but smells so luxe! 💎This particular “bluebell” hand soap by Mrs. Meyer’s smells exactly like the slightly floral, herbaceous scent of Tatcha creams, the Rice Wash, The Deep Cleanse & more. #Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day - Bluebell liquid hand soap[products]#[FiveStars] $3.99/12.5 oz So, in addition to smelling very luxury & expensive, like Tatcha, this is also a really good liquid hand soap. 🪴Mrs. Meyer’s site describes the scent as “garden fresh blue-violet & delicate floral fragrances” 🫒It’s not as drying as other hand soaps I’ve used the $2-$4 price range, thanks to olive oil & aloe. (Full ingredients in the slides) 🦋It only contains natural fragrances, & is free of Phthalates & Parabens. No dyes or artificial colors & it’s not tested on animals! No MEA or DEA. This brand is pretty easy to find, I know it’s often at Target!
Brand Spotlight: BLISS
Bliss is one of my favorite affordable drugstore clean and cruelty free brand. They are easily accessible, you find them at: Ulta, CVS, Target and Bliss.com, etc. I can’t help but love everything that I’ve tried from them. Here are current favorites and must haves: Left to right: bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum A mixture between toner and serum this is an awesome toner that is alcohol free, vegan, and packed with skin calming and pore refining ingredients : BHA, niacinamide, zinc and cica. bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer My day/ night cream depending on my mood and what serums I’m using. Sinks in the skin well and has great texture. bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer This is comparable to TATCHA - The Water Cream very lightweight but pack a lot of moisture. It leaves my skin feeling a bit tacky which I love as a base before my primer and make up. bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Moisturizer All times favorite basic moisturizer for day and night. I usually use this when either my skin has a break out and I have to go back to basics or when I’m using retinol or some other harsh serums. bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum If you are new to glycolic acids or AHAs this is a great beginner’s choice. For me I thought this quite a gentle formula... I didn’t feel any discomfort or irritation. bliss - Fabulips Lip Scrub This is my first lip scrub... so I don’t know if it’s good or not. It’s not bad. It’s moisturizing, exfoliating and didn’t taste bad. 😋 Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Have you tried any of their product? Tell me your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

Helps brighten my skin and add back bounce . My skin looks glowing and plump after each use. Must have
Which Vitamin C serum is better?
Finding a good Vitamin C serum is hard with so many out there all claiming to do really similar things. I have used both of these serums for 2 months (not simultaneously) and here are my thoughts! 🍊🍊🍊 Value 💸: the Ordinary always puts value high on their priority list and for $23AUD you get 30ml of product, which is on the pricier end of TO products. However when you compare that to Ole Henriksen’s $70AUD for the same amount, it’s a real bargain. Benefits ✨: TO is 8% pure L- ascorbic acid, a pure form of vitamin c, dispensed in oil and also contains 2% alpha arbutin, which fades dark marks and hyperpigmentation . It is water free and claims to brighten, firm and even out skin tone. OH’s serum is also ascorbic acid based but also contains collagen and green tea extract. It claims to instantly brighten, firm and tone skin and keep it hydrated. It’s oil free, lightly fragranced and lightweight. My Opinion📚: If you don’t like the idea of putting on a facial oil in the morning, TO isn’t for you. However the oil based serum is lightweight, sinks in quickly and hasn’t left me looking shiny (I have combination skin). Because of the alpha arbutin I have to be careful that none of the other products I use in my morning routine have niacinamide, but as someone who’s not crazy about niacinamide, that doesn’t bother me. There is also a strange smell from this product, that reminds me of meat?? At first I thought it might have oxidised but it’s still completely clear, so who knows. 🤷🏻♀️ After a few weeks I noticed my skin looking visibly brighter and the hyperpigmentation I get on my cheeks is a little faded. I still freckle really easily but a) I like that and b) the overall look of my skin is more even. OH’s truth serum claims to be a multipurpose wonder serum and has a more complex ingredient list than TO. However for its price point, I was quite disappointed. It’s super lightweight, a really nice texture, but I just didn’t notice any change with it. I would agree that it’s hydrating and a pleasant application experience but there are so many other products that deliver that result for a lot less money. I really wanted to like this OH range but generally I’ve been left wanting more! Winner 🥊: The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
Updated Oily skin care routine!!!🌞🌞
*TUTORIAL ON MY INSTA (user in bio)** I have changed my routine due to many reasons But the main reason is I thought I had oily skin. Turns out I do but my skin type is actually more normal then oily. I went and got a facial recently and my lady had asked me about all the products I was using... when I told her I was shocked to know that everything I was doing was all wrong for my skin! I was in fact actually drying out my skin and doing everything in the wrong order. Aswell as putting way too many acids and chemicals on my skin at once that there was no way for it to react naturally to that. To start off I wash my face with the sa smoothing cleanser from cerave every other night, and I switch off with the cervave hydrating cleanser/ or foaming cleanser. I will switch off with those two based on whether I’m feeling more greasy that night or not. I also use the 60 second rule. I will wash my face and gently scrub in small circles for 60 seconds then rinse with colder water which is better for your pores. Once my face is washed I go in with the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid from the ordinary. I mix them together in my palm and gently pat them into my skin These two serums are really good and have helped my skin a lot within the past 2 weeks! Also a psa, when putting on these serums you will have better results if you keep your face damp. The hyaluronic acid is a water based product that pretty much needs water to help lock it into your face. After that I go in with a vibrating face roller to de puff and really sink all that product into my pores . FINISHING TOUCH FLAWLESS - Flawless Contour I got this one for a very low price and it’s always cold and feels amazing on my face. After I use it I check to see the before and after of my de-puffing process . For my last two steps I use the dermalogica retinol clearing oil, this product is my new holy grail bc every night I put it on I wake up feeling clean and have results of much lighter acne scars or dark spots. I also use the cerave skin renewing night cream inehich contains healing ceramides and acids that leave you waking up smooth and hydrated!!
CeraVe-Eye Repair Cream
My skin care routine for acne prone / oily skin
MORNING ROUTINE ☀️ PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin NIGHT ROUTINE 🌙 PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane BURT’S BEES - Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint WEEKLY MASK The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque I have been using PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser for over a year and have been absolutely loving it for keeping my skin clear. I recently added The Ordinary’s products into my routine as well as a daily spf and my skin has truly never looked better. If you suffer from acne, dark spots and dull skin- I highly suggest this routine ❤️ ** Also, when using Vitamin C (such as The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% ) I chose to moisturize with the Squalane because any water in products will neutralize the Vitamin C and stop it from working on your skin, so always make sure to use a moisturizer/ oil / serum with no form of water on the ingredient list while using a vitamin C product! :)
The Ordinary-100% Plant-Derived Squalane
Current Skincare Routine
This. is my current routine right now. I noticed that some of my products aren’t working as well as they were. Especially the Kiehls concentrate, and the Bliss exfoliant. I have quite a bit of dark spots on both sides of my cheeks, and sometimes I have some whiteheads. My forehead has those small bumps too. Like there’s nothing, but they’re the kind that are bothersome. I should most likely simplify my routine, but feel free to give me any advice. If there are any recommendations for anything, that would be cool. I’ve been eyeing a new second cleanser, and a new spot treatment.
The Ordinary-100% Plant-Derived Squalane
My *old skincare routine!!
1. CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser Started using this couple months ago, I would say it gets the job done. Nothing bad to say about it, I’m sure there’s equally good cleansers out there. I love the price too!! 2. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is pretty good, it’s like my 3rd bottle and it does a good job at blurring out pores and brighten up my skin. I had pretty bad hormonal acne on the right side of my face for over a year and while it hasn’t cleared up all the way, niacinamide is a must in a skincare routine. Price is great!! 3. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Ok so I have mixed feelings on this, while it HAS brightened up my skin, along with some freckles I had on my nose, my hyperpigmentation/dark spots aren’t fully gone. I know it takes time and I have to be patient but it is my second purchase of this duo and I just thought my dark spots would be better by now! I will keep using it though. Vitamin C is another essential in skin care. Although it is a bit pricey (like most drunk elephant products), it is WAY cheaper than the actual Vitamin C serum they have and since Vitamin C tends to go bad after a while, I prefer buying this since I know I will be using it all. I only use this during the day!! 4. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Ok my first time using this was around October 2019, it made me purge which is normal when using acids. I’m not gonna say it hasn’t worked, it does leave your skin super soft and exfoliated but my results aren’t as good as others I’ve seen as far as brightening hyperpigmentation. Could be because my acne is hormonal and it more so had to do with my nutrition and the inside of my body. I am still going to use it all up and see if it works better now that I switched up my “diet”. I use this about once a week, sometimes twice, it does tingle sometimes. Never dermaplane your face and use this after!! Trust me. Also use sunscreen!! Never had a bad reaction or burn with this. 5. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This moisturizer is pretty good, it gets the job done and doesn’t leave my skin greasy. CeraVe works for most skin types!! 6. Clean&Clear - Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication Spot Treatment I bought this on a whim without doing proper research because I was tired of my acne and after I bought it, I learned 10% is way too high for someone who’s never used benzoyl peroxide before. Thankfully my skin didn’t react badly, it did the job at drying out some active acne I had, the drying wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t use it more than twice a week, I would let my skin heal and only use it when I had active break outs. I suggest getting a lower % if you’ve never used benzoyl peroxide. Any adjustments I should make?? *not included, my sunscreen, which I do use everytime I leave my house.
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
Morning Skin Care Routine🌞✨
Here is my morning skin care routine for hormonal acne! I start off with the CeraVe foaming facial cleanser. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I love this product because it is gentle and non stripping so your skin is not dry or tight after use. Then I go in with the ordinary niacinamide. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I can’t say enough good things about this product. It really helps with breakouts and is good for almost any skin type. Next step is the ordinary Azelaic Acid suspension. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% This product helps to brighten dark spots I have left behind by acne. The application is very smooth and not irritating at all. I use a little less than a pea size. Finally, I go in with the equate daily facial moisturizer which is just a cetaphil dupe. This is the generic Walmart brand and I’m sure other drugstores have their generic brand of this as well. This moisturizer is lightweight, non comedogenic and contains SPF so it is a great choice to start your day. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer I try to keep my morning routine very basic. Night time is when I will go in with harsher acids. I will post my night time routine later today! 🌛💫
The Ordinary-Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
My morning routine
Hi everyone 👋 these are my daily morning routine products! Let me know what you think! bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum I’ve already talked about the first two products in my nighttime routine so if you wanna hear my thoughts on those check out my first post! HOWEVER, I don’t always use the cleanser in the morning because like Cassandra Bankson said “how dirty can your face get overnight?”. So I only cleanse if my face is super oily (which it rarely is). If it isn’t oily then I skip straight to my toner. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I put this on after my bliss serum only on my problem areas such as breakouts and large pores just as a gentle spot treatment. I gave this 4 stars because I had used up an entire bottle and repurchased and still don’t see wonderful results. It does minimize pores and oil production but it takes a long time to get rid of breakouts and doesn’t heal acne scars or prevent future breakouts like the bliss clear genius does. ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Pore Clearing Moisturizer with Salicylic Acid bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer I switch between these two moisturizers depending on what I need for the day. If I’m having a really bad breakout day I will use origins because of that extra acne fighting power. I rated it 4 stars however because it piles off and although it isn’t oily it looks like it on the skin if you put just a bit too much. The bliss bright idea is my go to for everyday and has not caused me any problems. It has vitimin c and collagen which will leave your skin moisturized and help with brightening and clearing scars. It also has niacinamide which is going to help with the oil production. I love this cause it is amazingly moisturizing, fighting oily skin, clearing acne scars, brightening and antiwrinkle!
