Today's TJMaxx Haul!
Today I went to TJ Maxx looking for nothing in particular (you let that store tell you what you need) and I found these products! I'm so excited for my next evening off so I can try out the e.l.f. - Hydrating Bubble Mask! I tried it out on the back of my hand and man it looks fun!! I was intrigued by the BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. I really want to put it to the test and see how well it keeps my t-zone matte! Lastly, I found SEPHORA COLLECTION - Matte Perfection Full Coverage Foundation. I can't wait to try it out and see how I did on shade matching! All of these products have never been opened or used and in total, cost lest than $15 all together! I love shopping skincare and makeup on a budget!

PORELESS? MORE LIKE USELESS 🗑
I have oily skin and my pores are huge! I use 2 primers religiously: BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector to help with oil control tarte - Timeless Smoothing Primer helps to blur the appearance of pores I ran out of my Tarte primer and didn’t have time to run to Sephora for another one so I walked to my local pharmacy to find a miracle. Instead I found the e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer which claimed to be poreless and even had the same color and similar packaging to the Tarte primer I use and it was only $8, so why not? Sometimes drugstore brands will try to dupe high end products and I thought this was one of those time but I was so wrong. I should have known with all of the oximorons there were listed on the packaging: - Poreless - Sheer - Hydrating - Grip - Smoothing The primer is a pink cream that basically disappears when you rub it in. It has no effect on the appearance of my pores. It does have squalene in it which helps hydrate the skin. I think this would probably be better for someone with dry skin. It is more of a moisturizer then anything else This was a miss for me. Ordered a new Tarte primer ASAP. #CheriePartner
Concealer’s For My Full Makeup Routine
Hey guys! Here is a little look at a full face routine that I do when I have the time. I love this look! When I do wear makeup I usually do this. Here is my list of products that I used for this look BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector L.A. Girl - HD Pro Concealer -Fawn L.A. As you can see I used bullet points to emphasize the concealers I used and yeah, lol it’s four of them. I know to some it may seem like a lot but I honestly feel like I need it! Especially where my hyperpigmentation is and my under eye darkness. I’m working on my skincare routine to start from root and I’ve seen progress but it’s taking time. Tbh, these mask and being incredibly stressed have done quite a number on my skin. The BLACK RADIANCE - True Complexion CC Palette is used when I am looking for the finest detail on my face and I want an even complexion everywhere. I am usually doing a full coverage routine if I use this palette. My red tinted concealer from L.A. Girl is great for my dark marks and under the eye as well as going on top of my damn mustache (threading appointment soon, believe me). I use the other L.A. Girl concealer and my MAC concealer for highlighting. I love using them both for the pretty, light and lifted effect it gives for my eyes. I’m still working on application but I definitely see a difference when I use both. Absolutely any tips and suggestions and feedback are incredibly appreciated. Thank you!
Battle of the Face Masks
My skin type is combo oily that can lean more dry during the weather changes or just randomly. My skin concerns are acne, oiliness throughout the day and also dehydration. I’ve ranked the face washes I currently have open right now based on how they worked for me personally (starting from favorite). My favorite out of this bunch is the philosophy - Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask because can see a difference when I use the mask, but it’s nothing major especially for the price tag. . philosophy - Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask Key Ingredients: Salicylic Acid (for acne and blackhead removal) and White Clay (removes dead and dry skin cells). Texture/Consistency: Cream with granules Scent: None Price: $18 for 1 oz / 30 mL (mini size) OR $35 for 2.5 oz / 75 mL Experience: I haven’t noticed much, if any, difference in my pores honestly. I do notice that my skin looks more radiant and glows after removing this mask because the abundant amount of granules give a nice exfoliation. Repurchase/Recommend: It’s nice, but nothing special and don’t think it’s worth the high price tag because it’s not on the face long. I’d rather put that money towards an actual exfoliator than a mask. . e.l.f. - Hydrating Bubble Mask Key Ingredients: Glycerin (for hydration and protection) Texture/Consistency: Gel that turns into bubbles Scent: Soapy Price: $14 for 1.69 oz / 50 g Experience: The sensation of the gel turning into bubbles tickles and can easily get out of control and get into your eyelashes. I don’t notice any difference in the hydration of my skin. It is easy to wash off, but the packaging is finicky and randomly decides to stop dispensing product and you have to keep pressing down until more comes out. It also requires quite a bit of product to fully coat the face so not sure how long it will last for. Repurchase/Recommend: No I didn’t notice any difference and the packaging is difficult. . FREEMAN - Matcha Ice Cream Melting Sugar Face Mask Key Ingredients: Matcha extract (helps clear pores) Texture/Consistency: Thick gel with gummy flakes Scent: Sweet Price: $3.99 for 1.18 fl oz / 3-4 uses Experience: This mask is so thick and difficult to remove off the face! It made me ever want to use it. I also didn’t notice any sort of difference after using this mask. The style packaging is really nice and convenient and you can definitely get more uses than the recommended. It also claims that the flakes dissolve, but they never did for me. Repurchase/Recommend: No, too difficult to remove and didn’t see any results.
🌊 Favorite Masks: HYDRATE!🌊
e.l.f. - Hydrating Bubble Mask claims to hydrate and nourish the skin while cleansing dirt from the skin and making the skin glow ✨✨The product is an opaque gel and the consistency of the gel is simple and smooth. this product is that it foams up almost instantaneously. After applying, the product foams up within seconds into thin fuzzy bubbles. The instructions say to leave the product on for 5-10 min and when I tried to keep it on for more than 5 min I couldn’t. Why? Because it’s too itchy!!! 😳 the bubbles are so tiny and they start to pop after a while, making it super ticklish 🤪.That’s the only thing I did not like about this product. So now when I use it, I only keep it on for around 3 min. After the time was up and I massaged and washed the product off my skin. My skin felt cleansed and soft. Co'L CANDY O'LADY - O&Young ACME Beta-Glucan Intensive Moisture Mask Set is such an interesting sheet mask. It claims to hydrate with beta-glucan while removing skin debris at the same time?! When I opened this mask I noticed that the serum is sooooo viscous and sticky😅. The sheet is also extremly thin (which I love) so it stuck to my face super well and I did not have any problems with the sheet slipping down or moving around. After using the sheet for the whole timeframe which is 20 min, I noticed that the sheet was still soaked and full of serum so I squeezed it and omg so much came out! This sheet was extremely hydrating and soothing. It did not cause my sensitive skin to break out or become irritated so that was a plus. I did end up washing the serum off though since it was so much and kinda sticky which I don’t like. When comparing the two products, the sheet mask was more convienent since it required no further steps to wash it off after using it, the e.l.f mask was required to be washed off afterwards. I prefered the sheet mask since the e.l.f. mask requires that extra step and it makes my face itchy. Both are great masks for hydration though and I would recommend both since they don't cause breakouts nor irritation for sensitive skinned people. 👍🏻
Today’s look 👀 must say Sephora brand foundation really good one thing I didn’t like was its super full coverage but goes on smoothly didn’t dry out on my face and also contorted my oily zones. Over all it’s good but I will only use it if going to party or wedding for that full Matt face coverage I got that for hella cheap from TJ MAX FOR ONLY $3.99 yes in Sephora it’s like $20.
My HG Make Up Primer
I originally got this primer from an Ipsy bag as a deluxe sample and after finishing it I went out and bought the full size. I’ve had a hard time with make up primera for years, as most of them will break out my skin almost instantly. The Watermelon Burst does not! This primer hydrates my skin and my make up applies so smoothly on top of it, and my face make up stays all day. I LOVE IT. I bought it for $28 at Sephora. 5 stars. ciaté - Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer

I am absolutely loving this primer and it’s hands down the best one I’ve used in a long time. It does exactly what it says and holds up for many hours. 😍 I tend to have a frustrating time with primers because they don’t hold my oil in check which causes my makeup to look greasy. 👎🏾 This primer blurs your pores, leaving you with a smooth canvas to apply your makeup. My makeup stays put when I pair this with my Urban Decay setting spray which is a dream come true. 💯 It subdues my without making me look and a little goes a long way. It does contain silica so if you have issues with silicone based primers, I would consider that before purchasing. 👍🏾

A miracle In a neon green bottle 💚 or yellow?
This 👏🏼 product 👏🏼 needs👏🏼 more 👏🏼 credit. I personally looove this URBAN DECAY - Rebound Collagen-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray It does more than prime your skin, it actually is collagen Infused and it has chia seed extract. Chia seed!! It’s super hydrating and soothing. Also know that it will not promote breakouts like other primera that have a bunch of chemicals and bad stuff. ❌ I use this whenever I want to go for the “NO” make up look lol. It leaves my skin super radiant but yet not oily. A little concealer, blush and that’s all you need. 😊 Please give a try and you’ll love it. It’s very affordable and it will last for ever.
URBAN DECAY-Rebound Collagen-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray
This mattifying primer was sent to me by Erborian. It’s supposed to minimize the appearance of pores and mattify without drying your skin. It can be worn alone or used as a primer. I’m a very oily girl and it managed to keep me relatively matte throughout a few hours of running errands in 80 degree weather. I didn’t powder either! I did get a bit dewy, but nowhere near as oily as I’d normally get without primer or powder. That being said, it definitely didn’t dry me out either, so I’d say it definitely lives up to it’s promises. I have a hard time recommending this product as a broke college student since the price tag is so steep— but if you can afford to drop $42 on a primer, go for it. You shouldn’t have to use up too much in one application, so I’d say one tube would last quite a while, which might make it worth the money. I’ve been using this tube for maybe three or four months now and it’s still mostly full. All in all, I’d give it four stars solely because I can’t entirely justify the price. erborian - Extra Matte Shine Control Primer

Acne friendly primer
This primer is great because it’s oil free and even though the texture may seem a bit greasy/slick when you first warm it up in your fingers, once you smooth it onto the face you’ll see just how smooth and poreless it can make the skin look and feel! It’s such a great product and especially for those days when I have acne flares and oily skin. I typically use it on the T-zone and it makes my makeup apply like nothing I’ve ever experienced! smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer Super Light
