BEST MASCARA EVER. Falsies in a tube?? 👀
BEST MASCARA EVER. Falsies in a tube?? 👀
Want big, bold, voluminous lashes?? Well I have found it! I have always said that if I’m stranded on a desert island, I will only need a solid tube of mascara. A good mascara is a life changer. I had been getting lash extensions since the beginning of the year, but since the pandemic hit, I wanted to find a mascara that was comparable to the lash extension effects. Not an easy task! After YEARS of searching and testing and trying, I have finally found the BEST mascara. I have tried them all: better than sex, diorshow, Chanel l’volume (a close second best), L’Oréal voluminous, the falsies, tarte, essence, benefit...ALL OF THEM. LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Mascara is an incredible mascara. No wonder its always at the top of all the best of lists. It delivers on bold, voluminous lashes in only one or two coats. In fact, I’ve never had a mascara that performs so well even on the first coat. It’s not a wet formulation, and not very dry either which ensures it won’t be flaky or clumpy. It separates and allows for definition as well. It does have a “fluffy” average sized wand which allows for you to get close enough to separate and build. It lasts all day, and does not flake or smudge once it’s dry. I do find that if I put a setting spray I have to be VERY careful not to look up or down as it can transfer onto the skin. It does really last forever, and even when pulling off mascara with my fingers, it is really adhered to the lash. At the end of the night, it does take a bit to get off, as I do use an oil and then go over it with an eye makeup remover, but it does come off eventually. Overall, I am SO happy to have found this mascara and I’m already on my 3rd tube. Whoever loves big bold lush lashes...check this out.

Who said wearing a mask has to be boring?😷BOLD.
Who said wearing a mask has to be boring?😷BOLD.
Since this mandatory mask mandate began a few months ago...I was in a RUT. what was the point of wearing makeup if the majority of my face would be covered?! AND when I did wear makeup, I would get MAJOR mask break outs. So instead, I decided to have some fun. Who doesn’t love an electric blue liner? If you can’t see my bold lip or my bomb highlight, you can at least see a new pop of colour! I made sure not to wear any face makeup (except for my NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ) so my face can breathe when wearing a mask. This eyeliner SEPHORA COLLECTION - Long-Lasting 12 HR Wear Eye Liner in Fancy Blue is a pretty good liner. You do have to go over it to make sure the colour is truly opaque, as it can be thin when you first apply it. The felt tip is super easy to handle, and very thin so you can be precise when applying. And the colour is definitely bold. However, it does get a little “crunchy” if too much is layered. I am still on the hunt for the perfect blue liquid liner, so if anyone has any recommendations, let me know!! BEST PRODUCTS FOR VERY DRY SKIN💦 all drugstore!
BEST PRODUCTS FOR VERY DRY SKIN💦 all drugstore!
It has taken almost 10 years, but we made it. I have found THE BEST products for my dry sensitive skin. First let’s start with my face moisturizer. The BEST moisturizer I found for very dry skin is BIODERMA - Atoderm Intensive Baume It is so thick but gets absorbed beautifully into the skin. It has ZERO fragrance (🙏my sensitive rosacea skin thanks you), soothes, repairs and moisturizes. Immediately after using it for the first time, my face felt so smooth and hydrated. And the next morning I woke up with a glow and visibly moisturized skin. Sometimes I can get itchy on my face due to the dryness and I find myself applying hydrocortisone (so bad, I know), but ever since using this, I have not reached for it once. I also put this around my eyes, as it’s gentle enough as an eye cream. 10/10 The BEST body oil This is shocking. I found this on a whim while I was repurchasing my face moisturizer and it changed MY LIFE. I have dealt with keratosis pilaris on my upper arms my entire life. It’s those tiny rough bumps that just DO NOT go away. But that all changed when I used BIODERMA - Atoderm Shower Oil This stuff is seriously impressive. I typically HATE putting on lotion after I shower, and avoid it as much as possible. But this stuff is great. It worked the first time I used it. My arms are so smooth. It’s not 100% gone, but it’s such a big improvement. And because it’s a shower oil, it’s so easy to use and lasts a long time. I apply it when I have my conditioner in, let it sit for a few minutes and rinse it off. I get out and my skin feels like I applied lotion. It’s fantastic. Again, like the baume, it actively works to repair your skin. I think I’m going to be buying this entire range 🤣 also, the bottles are in French and it makes me feel fancy. Lastly, because I’m dry I obviously deal with dandruff. It’s annoying, it’s embarrassing and it’s so frustrating. I have tried EVERYTHING to hydrate my scalp. I’ve done treatments, I’ve removed all Sulphates, I’ve done scalp exfoliations. It doesn’t work. Until I tried THE BODY SHOP - Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo This actually helps. It’s the most relief I’ve gotten from a shampoo, ever. It does take a while to work but around the 3rd week, I noticed my dandruff was not as visible. Now, when I wash, the dandruff is not there. It’s pretty incredible. However it does come back when I wait too long to wash my hair again (as I get itchy-and as seen in my previous post) Apparently ginger is known to work well for haircare and has been used for centuries to stimulate the scalp, restoring moisture and strengthening the follicle. I will never stop being on the hunt for new products, so if you have any recommendations please let me know!!!

DUPE FOR DRUNK ELEPHANT PROTINI?
DUPE FOR DRUNK ELEPHANT PROTINI?
Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you a great dupe for the protini moisturizer! Like everyone, I am seriously obsessed with this moisturizer and had gone through a few jars. But after my 4th empty, I realized I can’t keep dropping $90 (Canadian) on a freaking cream. So I went searching and found ACURE. The Acure rejuvenating whipped night cream has: multi-peptides (drunk elephant has the same ones!) vitamin C ferulic acid glacial-glycoproteins (basically a molecule composed of a protein and a carb) shown to hydrate and smooth and protects skin from free radicals. They are basically exact dupes as they have the same peptides and the same base of glycerin and hyaluronic acid. The only difference is that DE has amino acids. Also, it’s is definitely thicker than drunk elephant, but if you’re dry like me: the thicker the better. I’ve had zero break outs and no redness. It’s a great product and only $25 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream

LIFE CHANGING DRY SENSITIVE Skincare routine
LIFE CHANGING DRY SENSITIVE Skincare routine
I have been on the hunt to find the perfect skincare routine for my dry-sensitive rosacea prone skin. It’s taken me a while to get here, but currently this has been my routine for the last 6 months and my skin is the BEST it’s ever looked. Routine: CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil I pretty much wear makeup daily, so I always do a double cleanse. This cleansing oil is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but still breaks down makeup very effectively. It has grape seed oil which is a great anti-oxidant and almond oil which has been used to treat dry skin and improves complexion Neutrogena - Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover If I’m wearing waterproof mascara, I usually go in after the oil with this makeup remover. It’s the best one I’ve tried that breaks down my eye makeup so I’m not tugging at my skin. Just hold it to your eye for a few seconds. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser I ran out of my normal cleanser (FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser ) so I decided to try this in the meantime. It has actually worked very well! It doesn’t strip my skin, I don’t feel any tightness and it does a great job of cleansing. I do feel like there is still moisture in my face after using it. It has glycerin and hyaluronic acid which are powerful humectants to draw moisture in. It does have frangrance which can be irritating, however it has not effected my sensitive skin. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner Toner is one of those things that you really don’t NEED in skincare. It’s not going to make or break your routine, but because I’m dry, I use it to add more moisture into my skin. This toner has hyaluronic acid to again, draw moisture into the skin, as well as rose water which soothes sensitive skin. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA Lactic acid is one of the only AHAs I can use as I have sensitive skin. All other chemical exfoliants are too harsh for me and cause redness and breakouts. However this lactic acid is incredible. I use 5 drops2-3 times a week, and wake up with clear, bright skin. It is truly a game changer! And the price can not be beat. BIODERMA - Atoderm Intensive Baume This is the best moisturizer I have found (and I have tried a lot). It is so moisturizing and so soothing. I wake up with such moisturized and dewy skin. I’ve found my makeup applies better-even if I’m not applying this in the mornings. It’s a thick cream that can be applied to your face or body. However, it is lightweight and absorbs quickly. This can help with any eczema flair ups I can get under my eyes (haven’t had since using this!). It’s fragrance free, has glycerin, and zinc for redness.

Hey look! Another dupe post! T
Hey look! Another dupe post! These are my only posts that do well any more so I'm going to start bombarding you with them. Be prepared. This is the Natasha Denona 04 palette and it retails for $48. The shadows in that palette are repeated in her large 28 pan palettes and sold individually as well. Swipe left for zeeee names! As far as the dupes... Makeup Geek eyeshadows are $6. Sydney Grace eyeshadows are also $6. ColourPop eyeshadows are $4. And you can get Nabla eyeshadows from Beauty Bay for $8 and they do free worldwide shipping. It would cost you $30 to buy all 5 dupes. And tbh with you, I don't think that ND shadows are much better than the other brands. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure many people would disagree with me. The last one that I bought is Lila. I just don't think that they're worth the money. But I've got like 10,000 other palettes so that should keep me busy for awhile. . In the light of day I've realized that ColourPop Now and Zen is closer to Aura than MUG Voltage. Voltage is more yellow.

⚡️Dry and flaky scalp problems no more!✨
⚡️Dry and flaky scalp problems no more!✨
Are you struggling with a dry scalp? Is it itchy or burning or flaky? Boy do I have a treat for you. So as a licensed cosmetologist I didn’t really learn as much as I wanted to about the ingredients in hair products. The instructors just told us that drugstore products were bad and did a lot of bad things to the hair. But when I started asking “why?” They had no answers. I wanted to know WHY are drugstore products bad? WHAT ingredients make these products bad and what happens when using them WHO makes these products and gets them into stores if they are so bad?! This took a lot of time and research on my own, but I am so glad I did it so I can help you understand a little bit more! I have been dabbling with making my own hair care products! I’ve made some waterless shampoos and conditioners (ended up very sandy but still worth a shot) and natural shampoo and conditioners. I’ve worked with a cosmetic chemist to help me make sure I wasn’t going to blow anything up or cause an accidental chemical reaction so it’d be safe! With what I’ve learned, pure extracts are what give you your benefits in your hair products! It’s not just hair products either I might add. There’s extracts in your body wash, your face wash your lotions and your toothpastes sometimes! The extracts I’ve found to help out with your itchy scalp are: Colloidal oatmeal-okay so this ones not necessarily an extract, but this really helps sooooothe the scalp. If you have eczema colloidal oatmeal is where it’s at! Amla Berry Extract- this extract is so rich of Vitamin C and antioxidants! This helps to prevent dandruff and itchiness due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties! Aloe Vera Juice Extract- aloe contains little enzymes that actually REPAIR your dead skin cells! Aloe is also very hydrating and moisturizing you give your hair a shiny finish (with no dandruff I might add) Bamboo Extract- this extract improves overall hair health! Helps with fullness and elasticity and it’s packed with antioxidants to really take care of the your hair(: Caffeine Extract- this is the creme de la creme of extracts for itchy scalp. Caffeine actually sloughs off dead skin cells by exfoliating the scalp! Cool right?! Exfoliation of the scalp means you’re really increasing blood flow and circulation. Increasing blood flow and circulation means its stimulating the scalp enough to promote hair growth! This literally helps with dry itchy scalp and promotes hair growth! It’s an amazing extract that I think everyone should try out because i mean..who doesn’t want their hair to grow?! If you choose to add extracts to your haircare regimen, I’d definitely try to add it to a deep conditioner you already have. If you choose to add it to your colloidal oatmeal, add some xanthan gum to thicken it up almost like a conditioner! Photo from bellatory.com
