Matcha Love

Let me just say that not only do I LOVE face masks... but when you get to mix your own masks.. it’s so much better. I really enjoyed this Matcha face mask by Plant Apothecary simply because the matcha scent is such a subtle but still yummy scent and the fact that I can make my mask formula as thick or thin as I like it!!! It feels soo soothing on the skin... gentle enough for even the sensitive skin types! It does dry on the face and it tightens up upon drying... but after you wash it off it leaves your skin so calming and silky smooth. If you love to mix your own masks... and your a matcha fan like me, you need this mask in your life too!!! PLANT APOTHECARY - Matcha Antioxidant Face Mask

Gifted to me by Plant Apothecary 🍵 Matcha Organic Antioxidant Face Mask 🍵Available at Ulta Beauty https://www.octoly.com/c/hbwv1/r/hb5dm 🍵What is it? A purifying and antioxidant rich clay mask 🍵Call Outs: Free of: Parabens, Sulfates, Pthalates, Silicone, Gluten, GMOs, Alcohol, and Fragrance Cruelty Free Vegan Certified Organic Minimal ingredients 🍵Who’s it for? Suitable for all skin types. Great for anyone with oiliness, congestion, or dullness, redness, acne, or irritation. 🍵What’s in it? The ingredients list on the product is super minimal (👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻) it contains purifying kaolin clay, antioxidant rich matcha tea powder, and soothing chamomile oil and that’s literally it. 🍵My thoughts? I love that this mask comes in a powder which increases the shelf life of the product and you get to mix it yourself which is always fun. I love the ethics of the brand and this minimal, straight forward, skin friendly ingredients list. The mask itself is a thinner consistency than some mud masks I’ve tried (which I guess could depend on the amount of water you use), it smells like matcha (shocking I know), and it dries down within ten minutes or so without feeling too tight or uncomfortable. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin after using this product but I think I would enjoy it more in the summer when I’m more on the oily side or when I’m having one of my fun bouts of puberty at 30 years old. Thank you so much to Plant Apothecary for gifting me this mask to try 💚

sara happ - The Lip Scrub Midnight Blueberry the lip scrub by sara happ - Midnight Blueberry - Product Function: Sara Happ lip scrubs are known to help exfoliate your lips with a combination of smooth sugar and natural oils, thus getting rid of the dehydrated lip barrier and allowing the treatment absorption for a smoother lip appearance. - Target Concerns: Dehydrated, dry, flaky lips. - Texture/Consistency: White, sugar-like scrub. - Skin Types: For all skin types. - Ingredients: Sucrose, Petrolatum, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Flavor (Aroma), Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Helianthus Anuus (Sunflower) Seed Extract. - Ingredients Call-Outs: Cruelty-free, Paraben-free, Vegan and Eco-friendly packaging. - Fragrance: Yes; it has a sweet light scent. - My Opinion: I first tried this lip scrub about a year ago and to be honest, I didn't even know there were such things as lip scrubs; specifically for your lips at that. However when I first tried on this lip scrub, I immediately noticed the aroma scent. The scent is definitely a bonus for me! And this brand carries different flavors of scrubs and they all seem so yummy which is awesome. But once I massaged the scrub onto my lips, with my fingers at a circular motion, I also noticed how soft the scrub was on my lips. Now don't get me wrong, the scrub worked! However, the scrub is gentle while exfoliating your lips, which is amazing for those who have sensitive skin or lips. And once you're done massaging the scrub on, you just wipe away with a tissue. One of the many reason why I enjoy using this product is because of the short and natural ingredients this scrubs has. I really haven't tried or used any other lip scrubs, but this scrub is definitely worth trying out. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to achieve healthier, smoother lips. - Recommend: Yes, especially if you are dealing with dry, flaky lips. - Price & Size(s): $24.00 - net wt. 30g / 1oz. ETUDE HOUSE - 0.2mm Therapy Ai
ETUDE HOUSE - 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask Argan Oil 2/5 Claims to nourish and moisturize - Nourish: No /Moisturize: Yes Hydration - 3/5 Scent - Alcohol Residue - Milky, non-sticky Fit - Thin mask, fits well Parabens - No ——— Right off the bat I need to say that this mask smells like alcohol, which really puts me off. It has a milky essence but it smells a lot of alcohol and slightly like shea butter. It contains multiple types of alcohol actually when I checked. The smell calmed down a bit after applied on the skin. It did moisturize and soften my skin afterwards but I felt like I needed to wash off the residue when I was done with it. Honestly I wouldn’t have put it on if not for reviewing purposes. But once again, honestly, it did condition the skin! There are a lot of other masks out there that do the same however, and more, that have better ingredients. This also contains lavender oil. Not a great mask in my opinion, wouldn’t recommend this one from this Etude House mask line. The fit of these masks are good for me though! Purchased at asianbeautyplus - ~$2

The THE BETTER SKIN CO. - Better Skin Lava Magik: Cleanser Scrub Maskis an interesting product. It’s labeled as a cleanser, scrub, and a mask. I love multi-use products, so I definitely had to check it out. The second ingredient in this product is pumice, which I found to be too abrasive to use on the face. I tried several times, and each time it left my face way too sensitive and I was worried about causing long-term irritation and issues. BUT, on the body - specifically on tougher skin - this is a really great exfoliant. I’ve used this in the shower a few times over the last couple of weeks, and I’ve enjoyed it when using a small amount and being very gentle when scrubbing my skin with it. Especially with the changing of the seasons, I’ve found this to be really nice at keeping my elbows, knees, etc. smooth and softer than they normally are at this time of year. This product contains pumice and citrus oil and a few other extracts, so if your skin is super sensitive this may not work for you but if your skin is a bit tougher and you’re looking for a nice body scrub, this is worth checking out.

Product: This is a soothing hydration mask by Kiehl’s that is made with Calendula and Aloe. It is a lightweight gel mask that contains actual pieces of Calendula petals and Aloe Vera. It’s meant to refresh and revitalize ALL skin types. My thoughts: I personally love this mask and think it deserves 5 stars. I have extremely sensitive, dry skin and this mask exceeded my expectations. My skin has never felt softer and more revitalized! I love the refreshing burst of cooling hydration that I instantly feel when I apply this mask. I HIGHLY recommend this mask for all skin types because who doesn’t want baby bum smooth skin?!

Laneige Yogurt Mask: My Thoughts
Laneige Yogurt Mask: My Thoughts
This is the second Laneige product I have tried as of late and I would say I liked it much more than the first product I reviewed! I’ll get right into my thoughts. Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repairing Mask: Pros✅: very cooling (I would refrigerate for extra cooling effects) hydrating very faint scent, I could only smell yogurt great for dry skin! reduced redness and overall soothed my skin Cons❌: quite expensive (at $33 Canadian for a full size jar) some people may find the yogurt smell unpleasant it left a slightly sticky film on my skin (I had to wash my face after which I don’t like having to do if I don’t have to) Overall, I would recommend this mask. It was incredibly hydrating and had a very cooling effect on my skin which helped reduce redness and sooth my skin after cleansing and exfoliating. Although I personally do not have sensitive skin, this product did not seem to irritate my skin or pose any risk of causing irritation for other people. The creamy formula was easy to apply and the only real downside for me is the sticky feeling left on my skin after (that was easily washed off with a gentle cleanser).
