Ulta Cyber Monday Haul ✨
Mallory
I’m finally getting around to posting my Ulta Cyber Monday Haul! I mainly shopped the sales (as I really don’t need anything... I have so much random stuff) and tried to get some stocking stuffers for my boyfriend. I’m also really sorry it was hard to get everything in one picture.
The first thing I picked up was the COLOURPOP - The Full Beat Makeup Blending Sponge Kitwhich I’m super excited to try out! I plan on doing reviews for all the sponges as I get to use them.
I also picked up some old favorites I wanted to restock on. I’ve been using the GRANDE COSMETICS - Granderepair Leave-in Lash Conditioner

MY 2020 TOP 5 ✨
I love this prompt from @cherieand was excited to start thinking about some of my favourites from 2020. It was a nice chance to really reflect on the past year, and celebrate my personal self care journey.
So here are my favourites!
Product - After lots of consideration I decided to choose one of my favourite products for each category of: face, lips and hair! So many great products this year it’s so hard to choose, but I would say for face: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream was my all time favourite discovery, so effective for my specific concerns (sun damage/milia)! The SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm was my favourite lip product - I was addicted to the smell + really kept my lips hydrated. Plus for the price, you know I wasn’t gunna misplace this bad boy. And lastly, I would almost consider it a full on addiction how much I loved the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil , seriously this stuff changed my life!
Trend - Sustainable packaging, and gorgeous reusable jars were one of my favourite trends. I love this shift towards mindfulness, especially because I often feel like it’s a domino effect where it can start with mindfulness to the environment, than mindfulness of people and surroundings and I believe this is a very important/healthy shift for consumers.
My best look - Dark lips, always.
Favourite Creators - I couldn’t possibly choose just one, there are so many creators here that are amazing, unique, lovely, smart, creative and genuine - I’m so grateful for this platform! But a few accounts I think you should definitely check out -
@heynoonoofor some of the most beautiful makeup looks I’ve ever seen, just absolute works of art!
@D.Bennettthis gorgeous human has an amazing page. All encompassing, wonderfully informative and super relatable.
@annkrishaAnn’s page is awesome, from Halloween looks to gift guides ... she’s ON it. Not to mention her results posts are super helpful and informative.
@Mallory- I love her content, her posts are very relatable and she is just genuinely such a good person!
Something I learned - SPF if so important! APPLY - than REAPPLY even in the winter. I really like THANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream
Hope you enjoyed my top 5 ✨💛

Minimal Night Time Skincare
Here is my very minimal college student night time routine! I put these on every night after I wash my face and tone. I listed the products in the order i apply them(:
✨ Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall - This is a 2% hyaluronic acid serum. It has a nice light cucumber scent and applies nicely and not sticky. I highly recommend this product as I have used it for over two years. I love how easy it is to apply and even use it whenever my face feels slightly dry.
✨ Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask - I use this lip sleeping mask every night and find it very nourishing. It helped my lips a lot especially now that it is colder. It has a lot of product so it is definitely worth the price. The only downside it that it is not easy to apply so it may not be as sanitary if you choose to take it outside of your house.
✨ Base Butter Radiate Face Jelly - I recently started to use this product. It is a gel moisturizer and plumps my skin. It also has a nice scent. However, the consistency is very strange for a gel moisturizer and has little white specks in the product. I may have had a bad batch that was not mixed well enough but will continue to use as it leaves my skin plump.
✨ Grande Lash Enhancing Serum - I LOOOVE THIS. Would rate over 5 stars if I could. It leaves my lashes suuuuper long and does not itch whatsoever.
✨ LilyAna Naturals Retinol Cream - I have been using this retinol for almost two years now. I am mainly using this product to target acne rather than anti-aging. It contains very little retinol which is great for everyday use. I mainly apply this to trouble areas but can be applied to the whole face.
✨ Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment - I think it is a light consistency for an eye cream. It fits me very well as I am in my early 20s and do not need a very thick eye cream.

HOW I GREW MY SHORT EYELASHES✨
Product: GRANDE COSMETICS - GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum
Key ingredients:
-L-Proline: An amino acid essential to healthy, fortified lashes.
-Hyaluronic Acid: Conditions and protects to prevent breakage and brings hydration to dry, brittle, or damaged lashes.
-Botanical Extract Blend: A powerful combination of nutrient and antioxidant rich compounds derived from natural sources (ginseng root, chamomile flowers, and bearberry leaves); strengthens the lash follicle.
-Glycosaminoglycans: Locks in moisture and boosts lash resiliency and luster.
What it does:
“A cult-favorite lash enhancing serum that promotes the appearance of longer, thicker looking lashes in four to six weeks, with full improvement in as little as three months.”
- Sephora
Why I bought:
I always wanted to try this product out but was skeptical. I bought this on Amazon prime day for about 2/3 of the cost. There was lots of mixed reviews on the product— some saying it caused allergic reactions and some seeing amazing results so I didn’t know what to expect.
How to use:
Sweep the brush on the lids above the lash line (do not apply directly to your lashes.) Use every night.
Results:
The first day I used this I was afraid I was going to have an allergic reaction because I have sensitive skin. I saw horror stories of people’s eyes turning red, swollen and some causing bumps. I followed the instructions and did not have any allergic reactions.
My first two weeks using the product I thought I could see small results but the product says optimum results 2 months in. Today was the 2 month mark of using this lash serum and I cannot believe the results! I did not know my natural, short lashes could grow to this length!
I have heard that when you stop using this product your lashes can start to fall out so that would be one side effect if true. For right now I will continue to use this product until the bottle is empty.
Would I repurchase?
I would repurchase because the results are amazing but I would love to use a more natural product if it were to deliver similar results. (I recently bought a natural lash serum from Etsy and can’t wait to give it a try after this serum is empty.)
I have posted pictures comparing before grande lash serum, 1 month with grande lash serum and 2 months with grande lash serum.
I would love to here your experiences with lash serums! 💭⬇️

Afraid of falsies? Stop scrolling!
Have you always wanted to wear falsies but are afraid? Don’t know how? INTIMIDATED?? Same B. First of all I’m a dummy and damaged my lashes with strip lashes so just take those dreams of doing that and throw them in the trashie, this is better! You’ll thank me 🤗. Introducing the kiss falscara lash kit. Now trust me when I saw this I thought GIMMICK! But ya girl was still curious so you already know I read all the reviews and watched YouTube videos. Turns out everyone seemed to LOVE them. Wild right. I left work that same day and picked up the starter kit at my local Walgreens. (If you follow me you will find I’m obsessed with Walgreens and go there at least 3 times a week it’s a serious problem I need help) first thing I noticed was it’s simple. Toooo simple. There’s gotta be a catch... the lashes were gorgeous and it came with a REALLY nice set of lash tweezers none of that plastic BS I’m used to getting. Metal. Ok kiss I see you. The instructions are literally:
put the bonding “glue” on with a mascara wand (LESS is wayyyy more!!!)
use the tweezers to apply the falscara lashes below your natural lashes (bare except for the bond)
once they’re where you want them and you’re feeling fly use the tweezers to pinch your lashes and falsies together!
use the other end of the falscara stick to apply the “sealer” to take away the tacky feeling from the bond and to keep lashes in place.
Tah duh! It’s that simple. I’m a moron and I can do both lashes in under 5ish minutes. To remove all you gotta do it peel them off your lashes from the base of the false lash and they come off super easy without tugging your lashes! The take off was always the worst part of strip lashes...
Pros’s:
easy AF to apply
damage free! Didn’t lose any precious real lashes
super feather light 💡 cannot feel them or see the “band” because there is none
all day hold (never budged!)
no pesky inner corner band lifting up all day you don’t have to bring the glue to work with you!
REUSABLEEEEE no glue to ruin them! Unless you lose them reuse them till you DIE.
I had all my coworkers asking me where the hell I got my extensions done in the middle of a pandemic and didn’t want to believe I just did them at home that
morning!
Now there are a few cons I’m not gunna stray ya’ll away from
Cons:
the bond is so messy if you use even a tad too much you gotta go in with a LIGHT hand. Otherwise it’s great 👍🏻
you must use either their bond removal makeup remover or another really good oil based makeup remover or that lash bond will go to the grave with you NO JOKE. It’s on there for life. I just use the kiss brand remover and it comes off easily.
My rate of this product is 4/5 starts! Only because I think it shouldn’t be as expensive for replacement lashes if you lose them and have to replace them. Otherwise these are my holy grail lashes now that I’m trying to regrow my own!
Let me know if you have tried these and your opinion below!

$10 Magnetic lashes 🦚
I have been dying to try these out since I saw a fellow Cherie user have them on. So I searched amazon far and wide and came across these $10 magnetic lashes. (I’m cheap when I try something for the first time). They are perfect! They are wide enough to cover my eye, and have different “drama levels”.
I love these because I don’t have to worry about the damaging glue that comes with wearing regular false lashes.
When applying magnetic lashes:
make sure that the magnetic eyeliner is dry before application of lashes
just apply like a regular lash.
Only downside is that the right gust of wind will take yoir lashes with them ... but it’s okay because you get 5 & you basically have eyeliner on the cover up any issues instead of glue.

Hack to clean makeup brushes
I had never heard of cleaning your makeup brushes with Zote laundry soap before until I saw this hack on tick toc.
I thought I’d give it a try I saw several videos where they just place the soap in the sink and rub the makeup brushes over the soap bar and rinse them.
That seemed like a waste of soap to me.
Then I saw the video below where they put the zote in a glass jar and I thought that would be quarantine project & a cute idea, and would save on waste
Tick toc video

4): vegetable peeler or vegetable shredder
Steps to make your own jar
1): Use a vegetable peeler to slice the zote soap
In thin slices
2): put slices in glass jar or container of Choice leave room for water
3): Pour boing water over the zote soap I stirred mine a little. Then leave it, The video said a hour and half but I let mine dry overnight.

Jabón ZOTE - Zote Pink Soap
This is some amazing stuff. It’s only a $1.00.
