So you over exfoliated your skin.. what’s next?

Mallory
So you over exfoliated your skin... it’s okay. It happens. I’ve been super guilty in the past of loading everything on my face or thinking “the more I use something the more effective it will be”. When over exfoliation happens your skin starts to go into distress. Your moisture barrier is compromised. Your skin might start to feel irritated, itchy, and inflamed. When this happens at any time I like to reset my routine with gentler products. This guide is meant for sensitized skin but the products are also perfect for those with sensitive or dry skin. 1.) Stop using exfoliating/stripping products I know you want to keep using your routine to see results but now is the time to take a break. Stop exfoliation, retinol, acne treatments, and foaming cleansers. These products are going to be too intense for sensitized skin right now. 2.) Opt for mild and emollient products This is when I switch my routine to products that are more geared towards sensitive skin. Two power house ingredients I look for are colloidal oatmeal and cannabis sativa seed oil. My favorite being colloidal oatmeal which helps to soften and soothe the skin. My favorite product I’ve been using to soothe my mask irritation has been the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask
as it nourishes and protects. Cannabis sativa oil on the other hand helps repair the skin’s moisture barrier while helping to reduce inflammation. As always you want to seal everything in with a moisturizer. For sensitive or sensitized skin I always say go for a fragrance free/dye free lightweight cream. My favorite lately has been the dr. brandt - Cool Biotic Prebiotic Redness Relief Cream
as it contains colloidal oatmeal, cannabis sativa seed oil, and ceramides (ceramides are amazing for locking moisture into the skin to help prevent dryness and irritation). 3.) Add hydrating, antioxidant, or inflammation reducing treatments The only “treatments” I will add to my routine when my skin feels sensitized are either hydrating, have antioxidant properties, or reduce inflammation. I am currently using is the GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum
as this will help draw and keep water in the skin. I also swear by the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner
which showcases niacinamide with its anti-inflammatory properties. This toner is very gentle on the skin and sinks right in which is why I use it at the beginning of my routine. With the skin being wet from the toner is “prepped” for all the other ingredients to penetrate deeper and work more effectively. 4.) Wear sunscreen/avoid the sun I know this is usually everyone’s least favorite part of their routine but it’s the most important. With fresh cells at the forefront they need to be protected from UV damage. They are more susceptible to damage being “newer” than older cells. If you don’t protect these everything else is counterproductive.

Morning and night routine - suggestions?
Here is my AM and PM routine. My issues are mostly large pores and blackheads. I feel like my morning routine is missing something. We are trying for baby #2 soon so Retinoids and salicylic acids are out. Morning: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial CleanserI actually just started using this cleanser. Before this I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser which I really liked, but the CeraVe had been recommended by so many I thought I would try it. pixi - Rose Tonic I like this toner. Not sure it is doing a whole lot for me. Thinking about trying fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Tonernext. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I really want to love this product and I am hoping with continued use I will see more results. I’m thinking of using this once a day instead of twice a day and maybe replacing it with something else. Maybe a vitamin C? CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream this has been working great on my dark puffy eyes. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I’ve been using this for a few weeks. It is okay. I don’t love the way it feels on my skin and will likely go back to Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer which I feel like was better for my skin. Sunscreens: I use CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 on days when I am just at home. Unfortunately it does contain Salicylate which have been shown in animal studies to cause birth defects. So I will be discontinuing. MAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30 I use this during the week as a foundation because I have to wear a mask for a good portion of the day and it provides enough coverage without being too heavy. bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PM routine: Same as above accept I double cleanse with BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Marble Edition 2-3 times a week at night I use The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I have only been using this for a few weeks, but it is one of the few products you can use for acne during pregnancy. 2x a week I use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution My skin feels great after I use this. I have noticed much of a change yet. But I am hoping I will over time. 1x a week I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution My skin feels amazing after I use this. Unfortunately once we are pregnant I will have to stop using this one. Products I am planning to add: pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Deviceand pmd - Personal Microderm. These are both arriving in my Fall Welcome Causebox and I cannot wait to add them in! I’ll be able to continue to use both of these once we are pregnant and have heard great things about their effects on large pores.

We are making progress, folks
Just hopping on to say that the addition of a couple of new products into my routine has been a real game-changer! 1. I have been consistently using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin as my nightly cleanser and I love it! 2. L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Purity Mask is one of my favorite things. It smells really nice (hard to describe the smell, but it’s very pleasant), visibly shows where it is soaking up your excess oils, and leaves my skin feeling suuuuper soft and refreshed. I’ve noticed that my nose, which was typically dry on top and oily on the sides, is much more balanced now. 3. I suffer from allergies, which causes me to rub my eyes a bunch. I am sure that this is causing premature wrinkles under my eyes, so I wanted to do something about it (and combat any dark circles in the meantime)! It’s only been about a week since I’ve started using CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream, so I can’t definitively vouch for or against it yet. ⭐️⭐️ My next task is to purchase The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%to tackle my pores and acne scars. Stay tuned!! ⭐️⭐️

Good molecules serums
Been using this bundle for a couple weeks and I have formed enough of a impression to review it. Hylauronic acid- so I don’t think I’m a hylauronic acid person, it makes my face produce more grease because it just looks weird during the day and at the end, but hey if you’re looking to try out hylauronic then this is definitely a good way to try it’s a great price point too! Like $8 I think around there. Overnight exfoliating treatment- now I love this one especially after I wear a mask for 8 hours it does make my skin smoother and a bit brighter but you can only use it 2-3x a week and I wear a mask so often I need to exfoliate everyday I use that mask or my skin breaks out. Definitely would love if I could use it more often during the week but this was amazing I did like it a lot, worked great and was only like $12. I liked this more then the farmacy honey glow exfoliator. Niacinamide serum- I barely noticed a difference using this. My pores looked the same, I did use it before I put a mask on for work and my acne went down a bit but not enough for me to consider using is all the time. Didn’t improve my texture or anything like that but if you’re looking to try out a niacinamide serum I recommend this one. Again super cheap and it’s better to try out things when they don’t cost a lot to see if you like it or not then buying a $50 one and finding out it doesn’t really do anything. Overall it was a good set- nice and cheap just didn’t work for my skin particularly

I need YOU! Talk toners with me!
I’ve only recently begun to understand how important toners are in my skincare regimen, so I’m still looking for the one to fall in love with. I’m pretty much wifed up with a particular formulation/brand for every other component of my routine, so I really need ya’ll to talk to me. What toner do you love and why? I have no hate for GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner . It isn’t overly drying and it’s pretty decent to my skin. But I don’t see the brightness it boasts about. I’m looking for a toner that will balance my combination skin... help me manage my pores that you can just about park a truck in... and prep my skin for all my goodies. I’m not overly acne prone. And I am trying to defy my age and perpetual mom tiredness. So tell me all about what you use! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Over Exfoliation: Products for Recovery
Many of these can be considered drugstore products since they’re very accessible. I like to make budget friendly recommendations to make it more convenient for everyone including students like myself. —Cleansers— Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash This is a very gentle cleanser that has a gel-like texture. It includes very soothing ingredients and rinses very nicely without leaving any residue or a tight feeling. This cleanser effectively removes dirt and oil as well. This product is fragrance-free and it’s only $5! Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Hydrating Gel Cleanser This is another gentle cleanser with many soothing ingredients suitable for sensitive or irritated skin. This cleanser leaves skin refreshed without leaving it dry or tight. It’s fragrance-free and it retails for $7! —Toners/Serums— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner This toner contains many hydrating and soothing ingredients for calming redness and moisture. This toner provides lightweight hydration and is fragrance-free. This product is free from iffy ingredients such as alcohol and witch hazel which are common among many toners. These ingredients can be too stripping especially for sensitized skin. It also contains antioxidant and fatty acid rich squalane. This toner can be considered to be on the pricier side, retailing for $22. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum This serum has a very lightweight texture that works well for all skin types while providing sheer moisture. The product includes a very good mix of reparative, antioxidant, and anti-irritants. It has hyaluronic acid and collagen which helps reduce inflammation and provides the defense of antioxidants. Another ingredient included is feverfew which has anti-redness capabilities. This product is also fragrance-free and retails for $38. —Emollients— CeraVe - Healing Ointment Emollients are great for those dry flaky areas, especially this one. It’s a gentle formula that is fragrance-free. The formula contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid, a high amount of petrolatum, mineral oil, and silicone which all contribute to this ointment’s healing capabilities. This product retails for $11. Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment This is a very reliable product with a gentle fragrance-free formula. This is a dermatologist favorite for reason since it does amazingly well with dry, cracked, and irritated skin. —Moisturizers— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer Has a gentle and soothing formula that is also fragrance-free. Good mix of replenishing ingredients with antioxidants. This product moisturizes without leaving a greasy feeling. I hope this helps everyone! :)

💰💰Money saved!9 Drunk Elephant Skincare Dupes Recommended by Youtuber Cassandra Bankson👍👍!(2)
Hey guys! In my last post, I introduced four Drunk Elephant skincare dupes recommended by Cassandra. This post, I will continue to show you the remaining five best Drunk Elephant dupes that contain similar or identical ingredients as Drunk Elephant products and achieve similar or identical results but with lower prices👇👇. The Original:  DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum$128 The Dupe: #FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum[products]# $88 " FARMACY Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum is not the perfect dupe, but they are similar." said Cassandra. They both have the key ingredient AHA, which is a glycolic acid exfoliating the skin. Also, they have a greatest-hits list of non-abrasive chemical exfoliants: tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids are all in this potent PM cocktail to sweep away dead skin cells and brighten everything up.  The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask$80 The Dupe: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask, $68 Cassandra pointed out that this dupe is a steal of a deal with some of the same great ingredients, like glycerin, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and so on, to exfoliate and renew our skin. Also, they have ingredients like squalane and hyaluronic acid plump and hydrate. The main difference is usage. The BIOSSANCE takes just 10 minutes each time and around 3 times a week while the DE recommends 20minnites and only once a week. The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream$64 The Dupe: PAULA'S CHOICE - Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Firming Eye Cream $14 Vitamin C also gives your eyes a lift, especially when it comes to correcting dark circles... which is precisely the reason why the lightweight-yet-hydrating DRUNK ELEPHANT C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream  is so popular. On the other hand, PAULAS CHOICE Ceramide-enriched Firming Eye Cream pumps up your peepers for more than half the price. This Paula's Choice product also has a lot going for it, as it blends brightening vitamin C with retinol and five ceramides, making it quite the eye cream multitasker. Also, Cassandra pointed out that they have a similar texture as well as feel.  The Original: DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum$48 The Dupe: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum$38 B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum contains sodium hyaluronate, a hyaluronic acid derivative, plus skin-brightening pineapple ceramides and vitamin B5 to lock in moisture. Similarly, lightweight and super absorbent, this First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum is a water-based gel packed with hyaluronic acid and soluble collagen for plumpness, plus allantoin, aloe, and colloidal oatmeal to further soothe irritated skin. Like Drunk Elephant, First Aid Beauty's products are 100% vegan, but opting for this same-sized serum will save you ten bucks. The Original:DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream$60  The Dupe: PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer,$35  The key of these products is ceramides. Cassandra recommended PAULAS CHOICE Omega + Complex Moisturizer as Drunk Elephant's dupe.  PAULAS CHOICE  is almost identical – Down to the whipped, cloud-like texture! The velvety moisturizer highlights rich omega fatty acids to strengthen the barrier and fruit extracts to soothe the skin. It is an amazing way to end our nighttime routine! Cassandra personally likes this one WAY better, and it still has the same three ceramides that the DE one has at half the price. While Drunk Elephant is nothing short of a buzzworthy skincare brand, there's no denying that some of our favorite buys can take a lot of coin from that hard-earned paycheck once payday comes knocking. And for this reason, these best Drunk Elephant dupes climbing the ranks of cult-favorite products are worth trying at least once!

Over-exfoliated? Redness? Soothe your skin in 10
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask I used this mask for the first time after my skin was sooo itchy from (most likely) over exfoliating. I put this on after cleansing my face and letting my skin dry. My skin DRANK this up 💦💦💦 it’s a quick 10 minute mask that helps repair + soothe the skin. Within 4 minutes most of the mask had absorbed into my skin and it felt so soothing. So I lathered on another layer, waited then rinsed this baby off. My skin felt so refreshed. The itching stopped immediately! I would recommend this to honestly any skin type, especially sensitive + eczema prone skin. It has high concentrations of colloidal oatmeal, proven to be a superhero for skin. Need some TLC for your beautiful skin?! Try it out!

Secret Weapons to Date Night Prep🥰🥰
One night before the important dating day, you want to show your best to your crush the next day. What should you do? Getting a good rest and feeling well is the best solution, but today I'm going to recommend a first-aid facial mask and cream from a brand that will definitely save your sagging skin and give you a shiny, watery face overnight. They are the First Aid cream and First Aid mask from First Aid Beauty. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask First Aid Beauty is an American brand specializing in hydrating, repairing and soothing skin. Let's start with The Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask, which I tried once and fell in love with. First of all, it's cheap, just under $20. Secondly, the effect of its use is not familiar with the expensive brand. Its taste is full-bodied oats flavor, coated with a thick layer on the face, wait for ten minutes after the dry, then you can wash, washing a face can feel the skin immediately like to drink enough water, very shine, the gloss can be continued until the next morning on the makeup, hydrating effect is very quick, can make your skin looks a lot better. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Then there's their Ultra Repair Cream, which I've bought back many times and which is said to be an affordable alternative to Lamer. For this cream, I think the biggest benefit is to repair the skin. If my skin is a little dry and flaky that day, and it doesn't feel too flat, I use this cream, and the next day my skin will be very smooth and tender. Its quality of a material is slant massiness, protect wet strength to also be very enough, use in autumn winter festival very suit also, won't stuffy give blain blain. As a moisturizer and repair cream, it's perfect. For fresh, fresh skin on your date day, try these two products from First Aid Beauty.

💛BEST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM EVER! 🧡💙
💛BEST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM EVER! 🧡💙
Myth: Only dry skin can be dehydrated. Wrong! Normal and oily skin can be dehydrated as well. Dehydrated skin is skin that lacks water content, while dryness refers to skin that lacks oil . In fact, oily skin tends to overproduce oil to compensate for the lack of water. This can lead to breakouts and enlarged pores. Other signs of dehydration include tightness, fine lines, dullness, and increased sensitivity. 💛Let’s Talk Hyaluronic Acid🧡💙 Hyalruonic Acid is one of the best answers for dehydrated skin. It’s a humectant, an ingredient that binds to moisture. It has the ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water! This results in hydrated, soft, plump skin! HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion contains FIVE types of hyaluronic acid as well as sacaran algae known for its moisturizing properties. Hello hydration! 💦 💛Review🧡💙 (Swipe to see texture pic) This product is a serum with a thick milky consistency. It’s formulated WITHOUT fragrance, dye, or mineral oil.Since this product is a humectant, it’s best to use this product when the skin is wet. I currently use this at night. After I cleanse my skin, I immediately put this on and tap it into my skin. After it fully absorbs, I follow up with my moisturizer. This J-product product beats all of the overpriced HA serums in Sephora! Not only does it keep my skin hydrated, soft and plump for hours, but within 10-15 minutes of usage, the appearance of my enlarged pores are gone! This will also be a lifesaver when my skin becomes dry and sensitive during winter. This is a new constant in my routine. I got mine in an Asian beauty store but you can find the product on Amazon and YesStyle! It’s only 15 dollars!! Can’t wait to try more products from this brand! Happy Hydration! 💦

Been loving using these products lately! What have you been loving during the month of August? 💚 💚 @belifcanada Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner is lightweight but still very hydrating! It contains bergamot and sage to help soothe and hydrating the skin! I love using this in my routine to make my skin look more plump and supple. 💚 @deciem The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is great for brightening up my complexion.  It has a more oily texture that feels warm on the skin so I prefer using this serum at night. I noticed that my skin overall is really bright when I am consistent with using this. 💚 @freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream has become one of my favourite summer moisturizers! Its lightweight but still is a great occlusive. Makes my skin really bright and glowy! 💚 @missha.official @misshacanada Time Revolution Artemsia Treatment Essence: I have been using this product daily for about two months now and have noticed that it really helps soothe the skin. AM routine 🔆
1. Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser I start my morning routine with this water based cleanser that also contains salicylic acid. 2. THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Mist To apply this toner, I pour a little bit on a cotton pad and pat my face down. This product contains phenoxyethanol which has antibacterial properties, rose water which helps with redness, and witch hazel that calms the skin. *** I’ve also used this product to soothe sunburn*** 3. bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum For step 3 in my routine, I alternate serums every other day. One day I use the Glow and Hydrate serum that contains niacinamide (vitamin B3) and hyaluronic acid (HA). This product hydrates my skin very well leaving a “dewy” glow to my face. I originally bought this to help reduce my pores however, I have not noticed any pore reduction, yet. DERMA•E - Vitamin C Concentrated Serum On the days I do not use the Glow and Hydrate serum, I use this vitamin C serum to brighten my skin. This also contains HA for hydrating my skin. I’ve used this serum for about a year and I love it! 4. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 My daily moisturizer contains 15 SPF. Although I like this product, I think I am going to start using the Positively Radiant moisturizer that contains 30 SPF for extra protection from the sun. 5. MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater As you can see, I’m running low on my facial spray. This also contains Rose water to help with redness, but I mostly just like the cool, misty feeling at the end of my face routine. I will definitely be purchasing more soon! 6. PAULA'S CHOICE - Retinol Skin Smoothing Body Treatment After my face routine, I use this retinol treatment mostly on my thighs and bottom to firm and smooth my skin. Occasionally I will use this on my arms and stomach. After a few months of using this daily, I’ve noticed my thighs are smoother, it’s really boosted my confidence in a bathing suit.

 Retinol Skin Smoothing Body Treatment
PAULA'S CHOICE- Retinol Skin Smoothing Body Treatment
Despite the controversy behind
Despite the controversy behind the brand’s initial launch, I absolutely love this brand. Not only is it affordable, but it is effective. Once again it’s shown me that good skincare doesn’t have to break the bank to be effective. Skin type: combination NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum Let’s start off with this one. Now, next to my Paulas choice vitamin C serum, this is one of my favorite vitamin c serums. It is a 22% vitamin c serum, which is one of the highest I’ve seen in a product. It does not have fragrance in it nor is it tacky like a few other vitamin c serums that I’ve tried. I’ve tried so many different vitamin c serums from drunk elephant, to ole henriksen, to Peter Thomas Roth, to Sunday Riley, to finally paulas choice and by far the most effective ones me have been Naturium and Paulas choice vitamin c serums. They are both good on sensitive skin too which is an added bonus. NATURIUM - Retinol Complex Cream I wanted to explore the world of retinol because I was noticing laugh lines and under eye bags. Then when I did some additional research, I noticed that retinol is all around good for everything and to think I was nervous about incorporating into in my skincare. At first I looked at it like this scary thing that I shouldn’t use unless I was like 35+. Yes, I was stupid, but now I’ve seen the light. I use the cream at night by itself and it’s so moisturizing before bed. Plus I don’t wake up with super dry skin either. I know some people have started with retinol and maybe it was a little aggressive on their skin, but the way it’s formulated in this product is very gentle. Pro tip: I typically use a chemical exfoliant, and since I’ve been using a retinol, I’ve been exfoliating my skin a little bit less. Granted, it all depends on how my skin feels, so listen to your skin while you’re using skincare products. Your skin doesn’t lie!

Night Time Skin Routine ✨Details Included✨
Night Time Skin Routine ✨Details Included✨
This is one of my many skin care routines when I couldn’t get laser resurfacing treatment. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream just came in. It’s my first time trying them. They’re strong. It stung my face. It’s normal because it’s a sign that it’s doing it’s job. When SkinCareByHyram recommends The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for acne prone skin, I made my purchase. It’s gentle, unlike most products for testing acne acne, this one doesn’t sting and it doesn’t dry out our skin. Eric Nam claims CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly helps with brightening our skin. So I got it. It is hydrating. The orange one has vitamin C (a chemical that brightens skin). It’s gentle. It stung a little on first try because I have sensitive skin, but it doesn’t do that anymore. I also saw on SkinCareByHyram’s channel when he praises ESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery for probably being the best product Estée Lauder has ever produced. I got it. Before using ESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery my eyes were having an allergic reaction to another eye serum (I will post about it). My eyes were red, puffy, dry & with unexfoliatable dead skin all over. But this serum completely rehydrated my eyes. • Next day after this ‘hardcore’ resurfacing routine, I had redness and peeling on my face. I used all organic/pure products to avoid irritation. This lasts about 2-3 days. I exfoliate my face once the dead skin dries up (you can use a wet towel or a exfoliating towel). After exfoliation, redness still shows. But my skin was smooth, even, matte, and new. I used timeless SKIN CARE - Hyaluronic Acid 100% Pure (for hydration & to level up the pH level on my skin), HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray (to calm/treat redness, irritation & itchiness for my sensitive skin), Refining Serum from Dr’s Secret (100% natural ingredients & it helped speeding up my healing process), REVOLUTION - Copper Peptide Serum (to generate new collegen), 99% Pure Aloe Gel from Aloe Mastercare (for faster healing process), TATA HARPER - Retinoic Nutrient Face Oil With Vitamin A (for hydration), FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration (to moisturize) • Other products in this video are: Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner LANEIGE - Special Care Water Sleeping Mask LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner Kiehl's - Powerful-Strength Dark Circle Reducing Vitamin C Eye Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Squalane 💚 The best oil for oily skin?
Squalane 💚 The best oil for oily skin?
If you’re anything like me you’ve always wanted to incorporate oils into your routine but your oily skin really made that hard. Squalane is your best option for that. Without being too heavy or greasy it helps balance the oil production in your skin to provide you with just enough moisture. It’s full of free radicals that help fight the signs of aging. It also has anti-inflammatory benefits that help a lot with skin conditions like acne and eczema (which I suffer from myself). A few drops a night can be very beneficial to combo/oily skin. The The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane is probably my favorite product with squalane in it. It retails for $7.90 making it very affordable! I’ll take 2-3 drops at night, rub it between my hands, and press it into the skin. You only need a little bit so this oil will last you a long time! It claims to moisturize the skin while mimicking the skins natural oils and I find that to be true. It never feels heavy or greasy on my skin like some oils can. I only use this at night though because I feel like it could potentially be too much under make up for oily skin. If you’re not into oils and want something to give you the same benefits I love the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer . It’s a little pricier at $52 (I only have the mini pictured) but it’s well worth it. I love the lightweight, gel formula because I can use it morning or night. They claim it helps with transepidermal water loss (how your skin loses moisture) and overall strengthens your skin barrier. I do find this to be true. My skin over time always feels better and more hydrated when I use this. It can sometimes feel dehydrated and this always does the trick. It also doesn’t have a smell either which I’m always a huge fan of. I think the own down side of this would be the price tag. I think these are both great option for OILY skin who need some hydration!! If you don’t mind oils The Ordinary will be perfect for you. If you’re like “woah, my skin is oily. I’m not putting more oil on it!” thats totally okay and the Biossance will be more up your alley. 🖤
