Night Owl must have: eye patches 🦉

One thing everyone in real life knows about me is I don’t get sleep. Whether it’s staying up all night (once upon a time my bed time was 5 am - 12 pm. Oof) or just physically not being able to fall asleep it can still take a toll on your skin. When asleep our skin takes the time to properly repair itself. When you don’t get enough sleep it can have negative effects like depleting the moisture levels in your skin giving it a dull look. One thing I like to do to help combat that is eye patches. Eye patches have long been a favorite spa night product for me but recently I realize how much they can help in the morning while I was getting ready. For me they add a cooling effect to the skin which can help depuff the under eyes before make up application. I also really like them because most have glycerin which will help add that hydration back into the delicate under eye area that wasn’t replenished throughout the night. The ones pictured above all include caffeine which helps the look of puffy eyes, soothes, and has antioxidant properties. Also, I love using them as shadow shields for make up fall out. It’s so easy to pop them on while I’m doing my eyeshadow. It multitasks by saving me time in the morning while depuffing and protecting my skin from eyeshadow fallout. (For reference I usually do my eyeshadow before I do my base. I wouldn’t recommend doing this on top of foundation). My absolute favorite are the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Hydra-Gel Eye Masks 60 Masks
. Between the cucumber and caffeine these do the best at hydrating and depuffing my under eyes in morning. Though retailing at $52 for 30 pairs it is a bit pricy. My next runner up is the pixi - Detoxifeye
which retails for $24 for 30 pairs. I do want to give a special shout out/wanting to the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches
retailing at $18 for 30 pairs. While I do really like the depuffing effects I get from these I noticed every time I wore these and did my concealer it would pill up. I would recommend these to people who don’t wear make up but if you do I would be cautious. If you wanted to try these I would make sure you do a good job at making sure no excess serum is left over before make up application. I always end up using these at night for that reason which defeats the purpose of using them to depuff the eyes in the morning.

Had a Late Night? 2 Quick Fixes!
We all have “those” nights. Whether it’s up late working on a school or work assignment, watching too many YouTube (or Tik Tok) videos, stressed about something, or whatever else that prevents you from having a good night of sleep, we all want to look well-rested! In addition to a splash of cold water on your face and a cup of coffee, tea, or matcha, there are 2 things I usually do to help my face and under eyes look like I got the recommended 8 hours of sleep. Puffiness and extra darkness under the eyes are common if you didn’t get a good night of sleep. An easy way to de-puff, hydrate, and instantly lift your under eyes is to use eye gels. I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches when I need an extra pick-me-up. They contain caffeine, acetyl tetrapeptide-5, niacinamide, aloe, and hyaluronic acid to firm, hydrate, soothe, and smooth. My under eyes visibly look and feel better in 10-15 minutes. These patches don’t slip and slide like many others I’ve tried. This particular product is great because they’re a good bang for your buck - $18 for 60 patches (30 uses), and I have repurchased them. I am a makeup lover so I do dot some concealer on after my skincare routine, but that’s optional! My next tip is to use some sort of brightening mask that contains vitamin C. Vitamin C will wake up your complexion and leave your skin looking glowing. I have been using the fresh - Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask (sample size) in the mornings when my skin is looking dull. This citrus marmalade smelling and looking mask is easy and fun to apply. It contains AHAs such as orange, lemon, and clementine extracts to gently smooth + glow. After about 10 minutes, my complexion looks refreshed and plumped. I like this mask a lot but won’t repurchase because Fresh is not cruelty-free. This mask retails for $62 for 3.3oz or $25 for 1oz at Sephora, but you can use any vitamin C-enriched mask you’ve got at home! Pro tip: Use the eye gels and mask together to save time! About my skin: dryyyyy and acne-prone

Pixi Beauty 🧚🏻 Fave or Meh?
Pixi Beauty has been a brand on my radar for a couple of years now. From being in Target to their cute mint green packaging I can see the appeal to a lot of people. I am very fortunate to be on their PR list (which is how I got the above) but that doesn’t mean everything automatically gets a good review form me. For the most part, from an esthetician point of view, the brand’s skincare is a pass for me. I think my problem with me and Pixi is the amount of heavy fragrance they include. Fragrance is just an unnecessary addictive in products that give you no benefits. It actually has the potential to increase sensitivity in your skin. I try my best to avoid it in products or make a conscious effort to use those formulated under 1% (which I’m guilty of not always adhering to because it can be difficult to find). I find that most products by them (and I’ve tried almost everything in the range) are more fluff than results. I will say though my favorite skincare product by them is the pixi - Detoxifeye . If you want to give anything a try by the brand I would recommend this. For $24 you get 30 pairs of eye patches. These are my favorite to wear under make up as they act like a shield from fall out while they are hydrating the under eyes. I don’t feel like these slip and slide around so I can easily pop them on and go about my day. They have a very cooling effect to the under eye to help depuff. Ive used the pixi - T-Zone Peel Off Mask and pixi - Glow Mud Mask to multi mask before and hated it. These did absolutely nothing for my skin. Not to mention how bad in general peel off masks are for the skin and the Glow Mud Mask is so heavily fragranced it’s not even funny. I saw no results and they’ve been sitting in my drawer ever since. Most their skincare I would avoid (though they do have a few things I do like from an esthetician point of view). They have a few gems hidden in their make up as well but I find most of it over priced for the quality. You can find better quality in the drugstore for a cheaper price which is why I’d rate it a meh.

Yes 💕 kicks puffy eyes’ ass!
These have been amazing. One of the only products that my eyes have really liked so far. I did struggle a bit the first time I tried to use these eye patches - they were sliding all over the place! They would make it halfway down my face if I wasn’t constantly adjusting them. I tried just scraping a bit of the serum off them and that did the trick. They still do slide down a wee bit but that’s not a big deal to me because I put them on when I’m doing the rest of my routine so I can easily adjust them. Anyways let me tell you these things WORK. I had an overly emotional day where I cried until my eyes were super swollen and puffy. I put these eye patches on for half the amount of time you’re supposed to and the swelling was completely gone!! I have sensitive eyes and they haven’t bothered me at all either :) I also notice that my under eyes look brighter and more youthful when I’m using these 💕 I definitely recommend trying them out! pixi - Detoxifeye

Good Molecules Caffeine Eye Patches Review
Happy Monday! A new week has begun! And I’m extra nervous because of my test this Saturday 😆 but let’s hope the week leading up to Saturday is good 😅 I have been gifted these @goodmolecules caffeine energizing hydrogel eye patches. I have been using these and honestly these are something that I needed without even knowing I needed it lol 😂. Balancing work and studying is hard and my eye bags started storing up with all the stress. ALL the stress. These have been so lovely at taming those bags! These are hydrogel patches that are soaked in serum and feels so cooling under my eyes. They contain 1% caffeine to help energize and reduce puffiness, licorice extract, and peptides. Best Fragrance Free Eye Patches
Best Fragrance Free Eye Patches
[Review] Good Molecules Caffeine Energising Hydrogel Eye Patches Key Ingredients: 1% Caffeine, Licorice Extract, Peptides, Aloe Vera, Niacinimide. No fragrance and Essential Oils The hydrogel patches are smooth, soft but sturdy. It did not rip or tear when I picked it up with the spatula. I like how the eye patches actually sticks onto my skin and does not migrate away from my under eye area. However, it is a little big for my under eye area but, it can be used anywhere on your skin anyways. I love how the eye patches are generously soaked in the essence. There was still a lot essence left over when I removed the eye patches so, this can definitely replace your eye cream. The consistency the essence is reminds me of snail mucin but, not overly sticky. I like to use this in the morning because that is when my eyes are super puffy and swollen. As soon as I placed it on my under eyes, it felt super refreshing and cooling. I was really surprised at how effective this was for reducing my puffiness. It wasn’t like a significant reduction in puffiness but, I did notice a difference. The appearance of my under eye looked a lot more smooth and plump. I definitely looked more ‘awake’. Also, the essence provided the right amount of hydration. Overall, it is another outstanding product from Good Molecules and I really don’t have anything bad to say about it at all. These eye patches are by far my favourite products from Good Molecules. Good Molecules are always full of surprises when it comes to their new releases. Kindly gifted by brand

Tired eyes and undereye circles
GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches I’ve been using these patches a couple times a week. I have genetic dark circles. Nothing I do will get rid of them but I try and minimize them the best that I can. I was thrilled to test out these caffeine eye patches when good molecules sent them to me. They’re drenched in serum which is nice, I’ve tried some that were very dry. They feel cooling and calming on my skin. I did notice I had a hard time positioning them and getting them to stay but that could just be user error. My under eyes appear plump, hydrated and brighter after use. The brighter effect is really just temporary from the caffeine so if you’re looking for a cure for genetic dark circles this will NOT fix them but they can still help the under eye area look rejuvenated. If you have dark circles just from lack of sleep or being tired these actually could be great for you due to the stimulating caffeine. Over All I do enjoy these!

Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask Review!
Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask Review!
This is an overnight eye mask, formulated specifically to address the moisture loss that occurs when you sleep and also the puffiness that results from a lack of sleep. 💙The star ingredients of this product include a patented blend called “Sleep Circular,” which has caffeine, Vitamin P (a collagen booster extracted from plants, though @laneige_us specifically states that they source theirs from citrus fruits), and enzymes. It’s also formulated with “Eye Moisture Wrap Technology” that creates this skin-like layer of beta-glucan to seal in moisture, preventing water loss while you sleep. I don’t know about you guys but I think it’s really cool when so much time and research has been put into the formulation of a product that a company creates their own patents. Idk, I appreciate hard work 🤷🏻‍♀️✨ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ 💙 my thoughts on it: I really, really love having this product in my routine. I’ve been having a terrible time sleeping lately (pregnancy probs, c’est la vie) and I’ve noticed a significant reduction in how swollen my eyes look in the morning after a night of tossing and turning. (Pro tip: if you’re a crybaby like me, this is also great to use after an emotional episode. Lol) Plus, it has a cooling effect when you put it on which, when paired with the ceramic applicator, makes this such a treat to apply at the end of a long day. It’s a part of my routine that I personally look forward to. I wouldn’t say this is a necessity, but it is especially nice to have if you notice the skin around your eyes is dry and/or puffy when you wake up in the morning
