Are These Hyped Up Skincare Products Worth It?
You ever get to a point with your skincare stash where you start asking yourself if certain products were worth the hype or not? After a certain point of using them you either see the hype or wonder what everyone is seeing that you’re not. One item I completely found not worth the hype was the Milk MAKEUP - Cooling Water
Creams for oily skin
Acne scars moisturizers
Puffiness eye masks

MalloryI would see if you’re able to return it!! Like it’s such a cult favorite product but it’s not the greatest for your skin. I would 100% recommend the Clinique acne solutions gel for spot treatment. I had extremely bad acne on my chin about two winters ago and it cleared it all up. Get the smallest size, it’ll last you forever! 🖤

Milk makeup, is it worth it?
Over the past couple years I’ve really wanted to try out milk makeup and I thought the brands aesthetic was so pretty/ minimal. It’s perfect for a quick on the go person or someone who wants to look glam. Hydro grip primer, this is really good. It has become of my fave ones to use. It provides a great base for my foundation or even for my bb cream. It’s feel kinda like gel but not thick. Spreads easily and has a slight tackiness, also leaves my skin moisturized. The only downside is the smell, it’s kinda like a plastic/agave scent mixed together. The scent does fade which is great so it doesn’t linger around. $30 for 1.52 oz and $15 for 0.33 oz Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Kush mascara, this one is in my top 5 fave ones to use. The bristles coat my lashes nicely and make them appear thicker. Doesn’t have a strong scent. When I apply them to my bottom lashes they don’t smudge onto my skin. $24 for 0.34 oz/10 ml and $12 for 0.13 oz/4 ml Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Tattoo stamp in star, it’s super cute! I’ve had this well over a year and it’s still pretty pigmented. I use this on my lids, cheeks and anywhere on my face to give me that cute vibe. It lasts all day and hasn’t smudged on me. $12 and they come in lots of designs. Milk MAKEUP - Tattoo Stamp Kush lip balm in plushberry, it’s a sheer berry color. Moisturizes my lips and gives them a super cute tint. I’m definitely more into sheer colors and glosses. It has a slight minty scent to it that I love. $16 for 3g Milk MAKEUP - Kush Lip Balm Kush clear brow gel, it sets my brows nicely but it isn’t a strong hold. It’s more of medium. Doesn’t have a distinct smell which is good. $20 which is pretty expensive. Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Clear Brow Gel Holographic stick in supernova, I really like this. It pretty creamy and I like applying this with my fingers. Looks super cute as an eyeshadow as well. It’s more of a duochrome. It has a purple/blueish shift. I wish it had a bit more pigment in it. Currently on sale at Sephora for $18 for the full size 1 oz/28 g. Mini size $15 for 0.25 oz/7.1 g Milk MAKEUP - Holographic Stick Watermelon brightening serum, this was ok. Wasn’t my favorite. It feels nice on the skin, kinda moisturizing but I didn’t see any brightening effect. $36 for 1.2 oz/ 34g and $18 for 0.22 oz/ 6.25 g. Personally not worth the money. Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum Cooling water stick, same as the watermelon serum and this wasn’t my favorite. Yes it moisturized a little bit but I saw no difference in my skin. Too expensive to buy and not worth the money for me. If you have the money for an overpriced “serum” go ahead and get this but just save your money for something else. Milk MAKEUP - Cooling Water Blur stick definitely not worth it. Bunched up too much. Milk MAKEUP - Blur Stick

KUSH stash bag set products RANKED: Last place: Milk MAKEUP - Cooling Water I just don’t really feel like this stick is doing anything? I even put it in the fridge for extra cooling powers 🥶 and still 🤷♀️ Almost last: Milk MAKEUP - Cooling Water Eye Patches These are just OKAY 😐 they are slightly cooling and I do enjoy going about my morning business with some eye patches on like a fancy heiress 👸🏻 BUT no visible results in my experience Middle of the pack: Milk MAKEUP - Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Hydrating Face Mask Very easy to apply, glides on real smooth and nothing says “I’m serious about skincare” like a full face of GREEN 🐸 I feared it would be drying but it does deliver on hydration 💦 skin afterwards is overall plump and moist (ugh that word) Runner up (get the flower bouquet 💐): Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Volume! No clumps! LOVE ❤️ the brush and now it’s one of my regular rotation mascaras. The price for the full size is a bit steep but PRO TIP 🤫 the mini is the perfect amount of product that you will actually use it ALL before it gets all dry and gross. WINNER (tiara time 👑): Milk MAKEUP - Kush Lip Balm I can’t say enough about this stuff. It’s SO SO SO hydrating. Not at all sticky or goopy, feels like it is healing your lips and lasts longer than any other lip balm I’ve tried. Even in CANADIAN 🍁 WINTER keep my lips lovely 👄

FA safe but there is a Sulfur product I prefer
MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ^ has no fungal acne triggers Has 2 ingredients that help fight fungal acne: - Sulfur - Salicylic Acid Some people say it dries out there skin too much but I think it’s okay as a spot treatment. But it didn’t do much for my acne. A Sulfur spot treatment mask that works really well for me is De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength which you only leave on clean skin for 10 min then wash it off and use your regular skin care products
My Skincare Routine- 5 Months Later!
Long time no post! Since my first post regarding my skincare routine received quite a bit of attention, I decided to update and let you know what I’ve learned to do within the past few months. I still am using the same CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin cleanser, which will remain a long time favorite of mine. I am considering trying the SA cleanser once this runs out! My routine has simplified, as I really only moisturize and use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the morning and at night. I love how my once oily skin is now more manageable! I have come to learn that my skin really doesn’t agree with the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA serum. I was away at college and left it home, as I’ve been back for about a month I decided to try it again and my skin has NOT been happy. I could be wrong, but I believe this can be to blame. I have really switched over from my The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to the The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque once a week, as I feel the latter is less harsh on my skin. I could possibly be allergic to the peeling solution, as again at school I left it out of my routine and saw better results. My holy grail product used to be the MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion , which worked great but dried my skin out around the pimple over time. Now, acne patches are the way to go! I got these ones from Amazon, and at ~$10 for 125 patches, I see it as a complete win! Now I turn to you guys, as I still struggle with hormonal acne and now dry skin that the weather has changed. If there are any products you recommend (with a college students budget in mind!), don’t hesitate to comment below! I hope you all had safe and wonderful holidays with your loved ones! ❤️
Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer
The Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer is a SAVIOR for dry skin. I am really happy with how how well this is working for me. This moisturizer is vegan (clearly by the name) and fragrance free which is something I love. It’s meant to hydrate and nourish the skin. No actives in this, just a good moisturizing concoction. I will say, I was nervous it was going to cause serious breakouts when I first opened it because SHE THICC. This cream is sort of like a body butter in consistency. But after using it for weeks, no noticeable breakouts other than my usual stuff. In terms of what skin type, I would definitely say it’s geared toward super dry skin. It is extremely moisturizing and left my skin feeling soft after using it but not greasy at all. I don’t know if someone with oily skin would like how heavy this feels so if you are oily, I would say try a sample first. I also am a little nervous about the consistency going into summer. I am hoping it doesn’t melt off my face, but we shall see. For now, it leaves my skin feeling absolutely silky and amazing. I can use it both morning and night easily. It works well when mixing an oil into it as well. The packaging is cute too, but it doesn’t come with a scoop, so make sure you have your own if you plan on purchasing. Overall, this worked really well for me and I would recommend it to anyone with super dry skin looking to add some moisture back
Milk MAKEUP-Vegan Milk Moisturizer
Lightweight hydrating moisturizer. ✔️
This is one of my favorite moisturizers. It is great for oily or sensitive skin, It also works well on acne prone skin types because it is oil free and won’t clog pores. I especially enjoy the water gel texture of this moisturizer. and that it contains hyaluronic acid. It glides onto the skin and dries quickly. I frequently use this moisturizer under my makeup. IWhen not wearing makeup my skin looks brighter, smoother and more supple. It is also non-comedogenic. . Hydro Boost is available at most drug stores and even Costco at an affordable price point. I definitely recommend trying this product! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel
Neutrogena-Hydro Boost Water Gel
This product is a moisturizer for sensitive skin. It has been allergy tested and has no perfume. The Moisture Surge by Clinique is a thin gel that applies smoothly and dries up with no residue. If you have an oily skin type you may put it on once a day to give your skin that moisture and glow that it needs, if you have combination or dry skin you can put it 2-3 times a day and it’ll give you an amazing beautiful glow. I use this every day once a day as my morning routine, it has helped me calm the appearance of pimples and has helped me regulate my skin from super oily to combination. I love this product since I keep seeing my face change better and better with the use of it. I would recommend this to everyone who needs a moisturizer as it is great for everyone. This product could be a bit expensive but it is completely worth it from how good it is.
CLINIQUE-Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
One of the best for oily skin ✨
I love this PHenomenol gel moisturizer! This was gifted to me awhile back. This bad boy is oil-free and thus a go-to for my fellow oily-skinned. It it meant to be great as a PH balancer but I don’t think I can speak to whether that’s accurate or not. I don’t think it has ever irritated my skin or caused a breakout. I would recommend this for any skin type, though if you have dry skin, using another heavier oil or moisturizer after would be best. It has a true gel consistency and goes on so smoothly. The full product is around 18 dollars, so definitely on the cheaper scale (if you’re used to shopping at retailers like Sephora) I have found that it does hydrate my skin and it has always seeped in nicely after a few minutes, sitting nicely under my makeup for the day. (I do usually use setting sprays and powders) I would recommend to a friend for sure! And also would purchase again 💕
Moisturizer for Oily Skin
Who remembers when oily skin types were told not to use moisturizers because our skin was already oily and didn't need it? Yeah, that was a rough time. Now we know better! Balanced skin is happy skin, and all skin types can benefit from a moisturizer that suits them! For my oily/combo/acne prone skin, it can be difficult to find a moisturizer that I like, so today I wanted to share one that I like. The Aromatica Tea Tree Balancing Emulsion is a light moisturizer aimed at oily and blemish prone skin sky types. The texture is very light, with a milky and moisturizing finish. It leaves a dewy glow on the skin, and leaves my skin supple and happy. I really like how comfortable it makes my skin, and that it doesn't irritate or my inflame my breakouts. This moisturizer is an excellent addition to your routine if you have oily or acne prone skin! It will also suit normal and dry skin types, but you may want to layer it with something heavier. Overall- if you can find this for less than $25, it's a good moisturizer to pick up! I will give this 5/5 stars- fully lives up to its claims!
JUMISO Have a Good Cream
#masknetip number 1, use skincare products with ingredients that helps acne but at the same time moisturizes the skin. Some ingredients I’ll be talking about today in particular are Snail Mucin, & Centella Cica. 💚 𝐉𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐎 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐀 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 | is a non-greasy, lightweight moisturizer that absorbs into the skin ASAP which makes it a great base for makeup. The star ingredient of this cream is snail mucin, which helps to fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation, moisturizes and firms the skin, clears up complexion, and minimizes the pores. It is also formulated with centella extract to help calm irritation and soothe blemishes for a brighter, more even complexion. ————————— So far I’m really impressed with this cream! It has a very mild herbal scent that I enjoy. Since I have combination, acne-prone and sensitive skin, I’m very picky with some products and so far this cream has never broke me out or clogged my pores! I really love how moisturizing yet lightweight enough for daytime this cream is under sunscreen. This cream has helped calm and heal my redness, my acne is kept at bay, and the pigmentation scarring is slowly clearing. I really like the creams texture which is a gel-to-cream consistency similar to the Belif Aqua Bomb. Since the Belif cream isn’t cruelty-free this is definitely the perfect cruelty-free alternative. As well as a cheap dupe! ⁉️𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏’𝙎 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙁𝘼𝙑𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙀 𝙅𝙐𝙈𝙄𝙎𝙊 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝘿𝙐𝘾𝙏?
