Krave- The Beet Shield 🔆
If you’re looking for a sunscreen that won’t leave a white cast and is actually good for your skin, you can’t beet this product! 😉 If you still need some convincing, keep reading! Krave - The Beet Shield
This is considered a gentle antioxidant day fluid, but is actually a sunscreen and is the same formula as KraveBeauty Beet the Sun SPF 50 PA++++ that is sold in Korea. Unfortunately, it’s not labeled as one because of US regulations
It’s formulated with nourishing ingredients such as Beetroot extract, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol, EGCG, all to protect your skin from harmful environmental stressors
The texture is smooth, milky, and leaves a nice dewy sheen after being applied. It also has a light scent that is pleasantMy skin felt so moisturized and my boyfriend even noticed I was glowing (I considered that a success🙌🏼) I highly recommend this product! The reviews are no joke, get it while you can! 😍

Environmental stressors moisturizers
socialworkskinIs it sweat proof? I originally wanted to try this one but they were out of it so I ordered Puritos sunscreen. I hear Purito’s sunscreen is amazing but not sweat proof which is the only downside

MaleamooHey! There aren’t any claims suggesting that The Beet Shield is sweat proof, but since using it and being out in the sun and extreme heat, I feel it does have great staying power! I would give it a shot! You might have to reapply every few hours if you plan on being outside but with sunscreen that’s a given! Hope this helps! 😊

Products & Tips for Maskne 😷
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone so wearing a mask constantly at work is not helpful for my skin progress. I’ve been recommending a few products to friends and family and figured I’d share what has been working for me! Morning Mask Routine 😷 1. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Flawless Serum by SkinKissed (Vitamin C and HA) 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave (just in mask area) 4. Daily Greens by Farmacy 5. The Beet Shield by Krave (everywhere!) Night Mask Routine 🌝 1. Very Cherry Clean Balm by Farmacy 2. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave 4. Retinal Moisturizer by Allies of Skin 5. Facial Oil (sometimes & it varies) Heavy Hitters ⚾️ 1. Great Barrier Relief Serum by Krave This serum is incredible. It mimics your natural skin barrier so it is perfect for a damaged moisture barrier as well as providing a barrier between your skin and your mask. The Niacinamide in this is also very useful for breakouts! 2. Allies of Skin Retinal /Moisturizer (Vitamin A) You do not need to buy a super expensive retinal product to have an effective retinal. This was a special purchase for myself and I love it but cheaper options exist! Retinal/ Retinol products can be tricky if it’s your first time but they are essentially acne treatment products because they increase your skin cell turnover. I find they increase healing time and prevent breakouts in the first place and I LOVE them for breakouts and breaking a cycle of acne. Retinol Tips: ✨Use at night as main active ingredient (general rule of thumb is to avoid mixing with Vitamin C) ✨Start with small amounts 1-2 times a week and work your way to more consistent use ✨Your skin may “purge” for a few weeks while starting out. That’s normal and it will go away if it is from purging. This can mean breakouts. I also had some peeling when I first started. ✨Pair with a heavier moisturizer to combat any dryness 3. Very Cherry Clean by Farmacy It doesn’t have to be this exact cleansing balm but always double cleanse your skin after lots of mask wearing! This can be any oil-based cleanser. I personally love taking my time, throwing on some music and gently rubbing this on my face for like 10-15 minutes. Why? Because not only do I properly pull off any oil, dirt, makeup and SPF, but it also removes blackheads. So gross but honestly you can see it working if you do it long enough! Blackheads are oil so it makes sense that an oil would be great to clean them out. General Maskne Tips: 💦 Wash your masks between each use 💦 Double cleanse your face as soon as you get home 💦Using a clay mask or sulfur mask once or twice a week will help remove impurities from the skin 💦 Let your skin breathe when you can- I avoid foundation/ CC cream whenever possible and I think it helps me personally. 💦 If you’re really struggling, I’d recommend using the Healing Ointment as a day moisturizer. Talk about a barrier between your skin and your mask! What are your maskne tips??
Summer to Fall Skincare Routine Changes🍁
I have sensitive, acne-prone combo skin. I live in New England so when the weather changes I find I need to make some adjustments to my regular routines. I plan this out ahead of time so I know I have products on the shelf and ready because when it gets cold here, it happens FAST. My current summer base routine for the day (pictured): 1. Water-based cleanser ☀️ Current = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid ☀️Current = Face Serum by SkinKissed 3. Moisturizer ☀️ Current = Daily Greens by Farmacy 4. Sunscreen ☀️ Current = Beet Shield by Krave As it is now summer, this is a lightweight routine and I love it. This addresses my concerns without making me feel greasy. When fall comes, my goals are the same in terms of preventing acne, keeping skin bright, etc., but I also need to focus on hydration. Here’s an example of what I’m thinking💭 🍁 Fall Routine 🍁 1. Cleanser = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave $16 for 4.05 oz This cleanser is actually already very hydrating for my skin and I love the ingredient list, price point and of course it’s packed with antioxidants. This is a year round product for me now and I’ve been recommending it to my friends. 2. Vitamin C- Vitamin C Serum by Mad Hippie $33.99 for 1oz I’m struggling a bit with Vitamin C. I like the one I have, I’m just ready to try something new and this one looks INCREDIBLE. It has amazing ingredients that are anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, soothing, brightening and hydrating. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free. I always have a Vitamin C serum in my morning routine because it helps my skin so much! I’m also going to try the one by Naturium just to see if it was worth the hype and drama. 3. Moisturizer Day time- Oat So Simple by Krave $28 for 2.7 oz This will be a new one for me, but as you can tell, I adore Krave. This still looks fairly lightweight and with the oat, it is calming for irritations and rebalancing for stressed skin damaged by environmental aggressors. Night time- Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz I stopped using this at night for summer, but as things get cold here, having that layer of super hydration at night will really help my skin again. I love this product. It’s super affordable and honestly always helps. It has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides in it too. 4. Sunscreen = Centella Unscented Sunscreen by Purito $15.90 for 2oz I stopped using this for summer because it’s a bit thicker than Beet Shield and more hydrating which I didn’t need this season. This has soothing properties and feels smooth on the skin. I absolutely love this and will use it each morning when it starts to get chilly! I’m also buying it for my mom who struggles with dry patches and redness. 🍁What are you adding into your routine for fall? Secret Sunscreen for Acne Prone Skin
The Krave the Beet Shield is not marketed as a sunscreen since the sunscreen ingredients aren’t approved by the FDA but are approved in South Korea. The formula is the same as the Krave Beet the Heat SPF 47 sold in Korea though. I was a little apprehensive to try because of the labeling issue BUT I’m happy I did because the formula doesn’t break me out and isn’t greasy! It is a thin lotion and applies with no white caste and a natural finish. It is not matte, but it could definitely be worn under makeup. There isn’t any fragrance or at least none that I can detect. I have used it running, by the pool, and at the beach and haven’t been burned where I used it. I do have a medium to medium deep skin tone so I can’t say how it works in fairer skin than mine. Compared to the Coola sun drops, this is a little thicker and doesn’t leave your face as shiny as the Coola. It is less expensive too so I will be repurchasing. Just wish they had a bigger bottle! After removing makeup midday, I usually apply toner and hydrating lightweight moisturiser that I'm testing before buying its full-sized (more on that soon) but these days, I've added another hero to my redness-prone skin due to our current weather Dr.jart Facial Calming Mist that's just perfect as it helps soothing my skin. I'd be toning, misting, moisturizing, misting and then apply my sunscreen of the day. For midday sunscreen reapplication, I always go for hydrating, lightweight, gel-type sunscreen so that Beet the Sun SPF50+ PA++++ from Krave beauty is right on spot. It's the first time I've ever used this sunscreen and let's just say I fell in love at the first application. 😍😍😍 But more on that later so do stay tuned for my reviews on Krave beauty products soon. Are you guys excited for the brand's arrival to our country? I'm literally counting days for that. 💃💃💃
[THE BEET SHIELD] ☀️ This is itttttt. The perfect, affordable sunscreen ($20 for 1.69 oz). Krave beauty’s Beet Shield is a daily, antioxidant-rich skin ~fluid, and I think that’s the perfect descriptor for this product. It’s super lightweight, similar in texture to GBR, and not greasy at all!! In fact, it leaves a really nice, dewy finish, with a slight “grip” that works well beneath makeup, if ya know what I mean. No white cast. No added fragrance. It’s formulated with Beetroot Extract, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol, & EGCG for a powerful punch of antioxidants to fight free radical damage and pollutants, as well as soothe the skin. It does contain alcohol, so that’s something to be aware of if your skin is sensitive to that. Truly loving this product and will definitely repurchase again and again!

The Beet Shield SPF — Krave Beauty
Function: An SPF 50+ sunscreen packed with antioxidants meant to improve the health of your skin while protecting it from the sun. It works for all skin types and is to be used every day as the last step to your routine in the morning! Texture: It comes out pretty thick, but rubs in and absorbs quickly/easily! Really does feel like a “fluid” after a second of working it into your skin. Experience: I’ve had this sunscreen for a few months now and even though I switch different sunscreens into my routine every now and then, I always find myself going back to this one! I bought it because I had wanted to try Krave for a long time after seeing it so hyped up on Insta. I really do love this sunscreen. It leaves my skin with the perfect dewy, glowy finish. It sits well on my skin and I can’t even feel it after it soaks in. There is no white cast. There is alcohol in it (5th ingredient) which is probably what helps it dry down so fast. I don’t notice it drying out my skin at all, as there are ingredients included to counteract the drying effect that alcohol can have. I recommend this sunscreen to everyone! It is so so so important to protect your skin and this one does an amazing job. It’s pretty affordable at $20 for about 1.6 ounces of product — there are cheaper sunscreens, but the ones that I’ve tried haven’t come close to The Beet Shield!
Krave-The Beet Shield
let’s talk spf!!!! Krave - The Beet Shieldhas become my all time favorite spf to use on the daily! It has an amazing texture, leaves no white cast and honestly makes your glow a hundred times better! It is antioxidant filled, and contains beet root radicals to help protect your skin from the environment! It also contains Allantoin which soothes skin and relieves irritation as well as vitamin c which we all know and love what vitamin c does! It’s also one hundred percent recyclable and is only 20 dollars. It is a 5/5 must have for me!

Sunscreen that you’ll fall in love with
I am always looking for a good sunscreen that protects my skin. When it comes to products, I don’t have the most sensitive skin but when it comes to the sun it just destroys my skin. ☀️ I can’t go outside for a long period of time with out a hat and sunscreen because my skin breaks out in rashes. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what caused it till I started wearing hats everywhere. So of course I then went on a hunt for a sunscreen that could help protect me as well. Literally more then a hour in the sun with no protection and I’ll have a rash on my nose, chin and forehead. ☀️ One of the most important attributes I was looking for was a sunscreen that was more fluid so I wouldn’t be white cast and makeup could blend in smoothly and I needed it to be hydrating. I mostly found my favorite sunscreens being fluid but not very high in SPF I was using one by botanics that was mattifying and super hydrating but only SPF 15 (I did love this one it felt so nice on my skin but just wasn’t enough protection for me.) ☀️ On my journey to higher SPF beet shield by krave has been posted and hyped here on Cherie more then I can count so I thought I’d give it a try. And let me tell you! I’m so glad a did it’s SPF 50! This stuff glides on and my skin drinks it right up! It the last thing you should put on so of course I’ve put on my serums, eye cream, and main moisturizer before putting this on and it still sinks right in. ☀️ I’ve used it for three weeks now I my pores aren’t clogged and I haven’t gotten any rashes and I go walking once a day and live in Florida so that sun really beats down on us. ☀️ INGREDIENT HIGHLIGHTS (from website) ✨beetroot extract - has skin enhancing properties like preventing signs of aging, reducing pigmentation and blemishes and moisturization! ✨allantoin - soothes skin and relieves skin irritation. This is an absolutely wonderful ingredient which brings both moisturizing and soothing relief to a sensitive, inflamed skin. ✨Vitamin C, Resveratrol, EGCG - This powerful tag team of antioxidants is proven to shield skin against external stressors and neutralize free radicals. I truly feel like it does all of this it’s a shame they can’t advertise as an SPF since what they use isn’t FDA regulated as a sunscreen in the states. But 100% recommended
