10-step Korean method
* Please know that this is NOT NECESSARY and I’m sharing as someone who has done a small amount of research regarding the topic. I personally refuse to go without a double cleanse, tone, mask treatments (3 times a week), treat, moisturize & SPF. __________________ The 10-Step is more than a routine—it's a lifestyle that has become a global phenomenon, grounded in Korea's cultural obsession with healthy skin and backed by decades of scientific advancement. * It's not about having more products than you can count, but rather about having the RIGHT products that do the right things, and using them in the right order. Having what works for YOU is important. Again, this is NOT necessary! 1) Remove makeup & sunscreen with an oil cleanser. I use a balm or an oil. I recommend huangjisoo - Pure Perfect Cleansing Oil 2) Follow up with a water based cleanser - INDIE LEE - Brightening Cleanser is one of my favorites. 3) Exfoliate - Do not exfoliate more than twice a week or you can damage your skin barrier. I have a few I enjoy YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial & The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution as well as TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser 4) Tone - I personally love a good hydrating toner. Toners are great at removing any residue that may have been left from your cleanser as well as preps the skin to effectively absorb the products to follow. INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner is one of my absolute faves as well as YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner 5) Essence - the right essences will be lightweight and packed with a blend of hydrating, anti-aging and complexion enhancing ingredients. Some of my faves are TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener & CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence Also this is when I’d add my HA The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 6) Treatments - this is where your specific needs come into play. From treating hyperpigmentation, dark spots, acne and fine-lines, this will be where you add those targeted products. Vitamin C, AHA/BHA serums, retinol...etc. Medik8 - Crystal Retinal CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Anti Dark Spot Serum and a good vitamin c are my must haves! Be sure to know what can safely be used together. 7) Mask - following the K-beauty method this is when they would add a sheet mask. I rarely sheet mask and use more topical masks. 8 - Eye cream - I personally don’t have any favorites. 9) Moisturize - Yes everyone should moisturize. Pick one that suits your skincare needs (no fragrances or essential oils) 10) SPF- EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! Let me know your thoughts regarding the 10-step method. #CherieCreator

HYPED UP. IS SUMMER FRIDAYS WORTH IT?
Do we wear masks to help our skin or for the product aesthetic now a days? Hmmm. Let’s talk about S U M M E R F R I D A Y S. First off, SF is a really cool brand that is growing their product line. They started off with a mask and now have 3 masks, a cleanser, and a vitamin c serum. Kudos to them for the growth. There is a lot of hype for Summer Fridays, so.. is it worth it? SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask A mask crated with the idea of helping dry and crusty skin after a flight. This is a hydrating mask that you can leave on or wash off. made for any skin type. Best for Dry skin. helps dryness, dullness and uneven texture. multiuse. Use overnight, 10 minute wash off, or as a moisturizer/primer. (I love to use as a primer) made with gentle exfoliating extracts and ceramides to really nourish and hydrate skin. ingredients work together to hydrate and “de stress” skin. Great to combat inflammation. - $48 for the full size. $25 for the small size. I have pretty dry skin and get eczema flare ups on my face. I was hoping this mask would help my skin more than it does. It’s great for a moisturizer, but not for a mask or let alone to repair your skin. I have the mini size for traveling and I enjoy it for flying or on a road trip. I also really like to wear it as a primer for my makeup. I just didn’t love this as much as everyone else. It’s a good product, but did not live up to the full hype. IS IT WORTH $48? No. I feel that there are far better ways to hydrate your skin and at a better price. BUT, for $25 you can get the mini size and it will last you a good long time.
