A few weeks ago I made a critical mistake: I got hyaluronic acid on my lips. Sometimes you can get away with it, but the worst chapped lips I’ve had in this last year were because of this mistake. It’s brutal, painful, and takes a really long time to heal. My standard chapstick at best did nothing, at worst I think it made my lips hurt more for some reason. I tried increasing my water intake, I avoided the sun, but nothing seemed to be helping. Having dealt with this in the past, I knew that this time around I needed a heavier hitter. It seems that people are either super for Vaseline or super against it. While I only put it on my skin when it’s really dry out, I am very pro-Vaseline for lip care. Unlike Dior and SUISSE, which are usually used in the daytime, I always apply this one thickly in the night. Although it is a little bit greasy, my lip would be healthier and softer the next morning. The reason I like it so much is that it is really the most cost-effective lip balm. If you buy Blistex one in a discount season, it would be much cheaper.

OLD: Carmex lip balm - Classic Squeeze Tube 10g CARMEX - Classic Lip Balm, Medicated Price: Around $5? I cannot remember. I bought this Carmex lip balm in the Chemist warehouse. It’s cheap. I bought it because I saw a lip balm testing from influencer Kevin. He applied three different lip balms to three same sized mushrooms. Then, put these mushrooms into the oven. After baking, the lip balm-applied mushroom looks more hydrated than other mushrooms. I thought it’s hydrating, which may be useful for my chapped lips. But I have to say, it’s more oily than moisturizing. It’s not that hydrating. I thought it just makes an oil barrier on my lips which I dislike. It’s a mint scent. When you accidentally lick the lip balm, it feels very bitter. For this point, I would not recommend it as a daily moisturizing lip balm. But if you want to try some matte lipsticks, this lip balm could be a choice to protect your lip. NEW: L’occitane Shea Butter Honey Harvest Lip Balm Price: $12.5 Main ingredients: Organic Shea butter, organic spring honey I love all products from L’occitane. So when I’m ready to buy a new lip balm, I think of L’occitane. Same as carmex lip balm, this Shea Butter Honey Harvest Lip Balm is also a gel type. It does have a subtle smell, but if you lick your lips or get it on your water bottle, you do not taste it. Besides that, the scent is pleasant, personally think. It provided basic hydration for my chapped lip when my lip was in a terrible situation. I don’t drink much water, that’s why I need a good lip balm. I haven’t tested its staying time and moisturizing function when my lip is in healthy condition. For now, I prefer L’occitane Shea Butter Honey Harvest Lip Balm. But I still need time to test.

Vaseline - Lip Therapy Rosy Lip Balm This lip balm is perfect for cracked lips. I get really dry lips during the winter and most of my lip balms gave me temporary relief. After I used this product my lips stayed moist throughout the whole day. 1

It is It is perfect to take on the go throughout the day, and it doubles as a sleeping lip mask! Both of which prove that it can last hours on hours! We didn’t want to enjoy it as much as we do... Because it is always harder to recommend products that are on the pricier side... especially when you can get lip balms for so cheap.... BUT we wholeheartedly believe it is worth every penny!
