My quarantine skincare routine!
~Hey guys! Just a quick disclaimer before the post: I am NOT skincare expert and this is basically the first time in my life that I have an actual skincare routine. So if I make some mistakes talking about these products, I’m so sorry!~ Like many others, I have been suffering from the dreaded “maskne” because of wearing a mask to school all the time, and I was really desperate for something to help me get rid of all the pimples along my nose, chin and cheeks. In the past month, I’ve developed this ~short~ skincare routine that works wonders for me! Also, I have sensitive skin that reacts badly to many strong products, and that’s why I don’t want to use too many products at once. Maybe in a few months, I’ll update my routine and add some more things to it! Morning skincare routine: -First thing when I wake up, I roll my face with my SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Roller
Face washes for pores
5 weeks on ACCUTANE
week 5!!! i feel like time is going by! yay! i am onto a bigger dosage now (60mg instead of 30mg) BLOODY NOSES!!! i have been getting so much more. last night i WOKE UP to my nose bleeding. i think im getting close to being done with my skin purging! but still it is too early to know. my dermatologist said the first month is the worst, and the second month is the second. my skin is getting sooo flakey!!! same with my body. im SUPER ITCHY! what’s been helping my body is Aquaphor - Ointment Body Spray which has been a life savor for me. i’ve switched from vaseline to Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment to put around my nose and inside. also i use it on my lips and i lather it onto my cheek/jawline area before bed to help moisturized. i’ve also added CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream which is SO THICK AND SMOOTH AND AMAZING! i think i might be getting dandruff ?? idk yet WATER WATER WATER i’ve been told to eat a big breakfast when i take the pills because they are fat soluble and won’t work without a big meal so i’ve been trying my best to do that. a few days ago i was super upset because i felt so ugly with my acne and my face was swollen from it and it was so painful all the time. my cheeks and jawline especially hurt, they throbbed all day long my back still hurts whenever i move to a different position but my dermatologist said these were normal side effects at the moment though
Accurate 1920s Colours for Fall/Winter
This is a scale of colours that I’ve curated through research of the 1920s. The shades are exact colour matches of real 1920s makeup colours. Lipstick: RUSSIAN Red by MAC. Blush: Apple Red by MAC Eyeshadows: Clear Vaseline by Aquaphor, Dark Green (Aja) and Dark Blue (Yejide) by Juvia’s Place (The Magic Mini Palette) Light Green (marsh) by Lime Crime (Venus 2) 1920s is the first tine in modern history that makeup was becoming more accepted - the mouth was shaped round and small with dark raspberry and purpley brown lipstick. Eyeshadows were applied mostly for evening wear, some Vaseline on the eyes was unite common for day wear. Eye shadow was smoked out very thin around the eye in grey, blue and green - with pin thin curved eyebrows that reached all the way out to the hairline. Blush was sold in plum and raspberry shades most often available in paste or powder formulas.
Ok so i need help making a skin care routine here’s the tea sorry it’s so long to read. I used to only wash my face with a spectro gel cleanser and use a cetaphil moisturizer every day and call it a day and my skin is starting to get bad again. I used to have really bad skin and tons of acne but it cleared up with birth control and age i guess. I still have some pretty big pores and dark spots and dark under eyes and i recently ordered a whole cetaphil skin care routine. It seems to be making my skin worse making little bumps on my forehead. I’m using the cetaphil foaming face wash, cetaphil daily scrub, followed by elf super toner, then cetaphil night cream in the pm and the cetaphil daily moisturizer with 15 spf and cetaphil eye cream. I also ordered the ordinary serums, i ordered the niacinamide 10% +1% zinc and the alpha arbutin 2% + HA which haven’t arrived yet. Please help me build a good skincare routine, i don’t mind spending money on better products but i don’t want to buy things that don’t work. My skin is combination. Any suggestions on products that would work, and what cetaphil product is giving me bumps on my forehead? all the products except the spf i can’t find: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HACetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-CreamCetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming CleanserCetaphil - Facial Night CreamCetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrube.l.f. - Supertone Toner
Night time skincare routine 💤
Hey guys I recently posted my morning skincare routine and thought it was only right to share my nighttime skincare as well! CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin- I just started using this product 2 days ago after hearing all about it from almost everyone on this app! I will be posting a separate review so stay tuned! Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner - I’ve been using this toner for forever! It’s a great alcohol free option and at an affordable price! Makes your skin feel great and doesn’t strip it if it’s hydration! I have two different moisturizers that I switch between for my nighttime skin! First, CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin I love this moisturizer! My dermatologist recommended this product to me because I do have eczema. This doesn’t feel to thick but it’s not a thin moisturizer ether! Love it! Now for my second one, POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream I love this moisturizer even more then the cerave! It’s a great thick moisturizer but once you rub it into your skin it doesn’t feel heavy! My skin never feels dry after using it! Cetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream - My favorite eye cream! I used to struggle with very dry under eyes and this product was recommended to me by a friend. I used it and saw a change immediately! I use it every day and haven’t had dry under eyes since! That’s my nighttime skin please recommend any serums you might use for nighttime below! I’m interested in purchasing one! Leave any questions below as well!
Day and Night facial products
So as I turned 41 this summer, I thought it was about time to pamper my skin. I used to be into skincare products, I guess working in a mall and being able to browse and test products will do that. But then I had my son and I didn’t even think about my skin until I started to notice how dry my skin was looking, let alone the wrinkles which seemed to creep up on me before I knew it. The first product I bought was CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser and I’ve used it most faithfully since March every evening. I wanted to start with something simple and this fits the bill. I’d tried Cetaphil products before with no luck so I thought I’d try CeraVe which were specifically for dry skin. Then I needed something for my Occasional acne breakouts. I bought Neutrogena - Pink Grapefruit Activated Cream-to-Foam Facial Cleanser A little goes along way. I don’t find it too drying because I don’t use it everyday. I needed a facial scrub first so I bought OLAY - Pore Perfecting Face Scrub with Vitamin C & Dragon Fruit I’ve used this scrub a handle of times and like it and can’t find anything bad about it. I like the scent. I decided to add a couple of serums to my collection - CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I guess this is ok but I was using this at night and maybe it would be better off used during the day? I will likely incorporate this back into my morning skincare routine and see how it goes, and next serum I added was PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum I use this on my cheeks during the evening when I remember haha. It’s a bit sticky but it’s an added boost of moisture they my skin needs. I was looking for a toner next, I remember the days well when I was a faithful user of Bonne Bells 10-0-6 toner but I didn’t want something with alcohol in it, and so I started to use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner I love the scent and I don’t find it drying to my skin at all. I work in fast food so I find this feels nice and cooling at the end of the day and helps with the grease factor. I’ve started to use it in the morning before my moisturizer and makeup. Lastly, I will started to use CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and it it just what my dry skin needs at night! It’s thicker than I thought it would be so a little goes a long way. I am also digging the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser & Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Smoothing Gel Exfoliator 150ml What about anyone else over 40? What’s your skin care routine like? I’m always up for product recommendations and trying new things!
Another average cleanser
pūrlisse - Watermelon + Charcoal Purifying Cleanser This cleanser works, but for $18 I expected it to do more than cleanse. The texture is a jelly and when you put it on the face, it doesn’t really lather at all. It smells really great, like watermelon candy. If you’re sensitive to scent you may want to stay away from this one because it’s very strong. It washes off makeup but it usually takes at least two rounds of cleansing. I have drugstore cleaners that can do the same thing or better and don’t have fragrance. Save your money and try some drugstore alternatives. Some examples are the Neutrogena - Pink Grapefruit Activated Cream-to-Foam Facial Cleanser Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser OLAY - GENTLE FOAMING CLEANSER FRAGRANCE FREE #cheriepartner
Sensitive - Combo Face Routine
I’ve posted about many of these products individually, but I thought I’d share how I combine them in my relatively simple routine. For reference, my skin is very finnicky (eczema-prone, acne-prone, and very reactive). ~ 3rd pic is post-morning routine having used the glycolic cream the night before ~ 🌤SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel Hydrating Gel With Hyaluronic Acid The only reason for the docked star, is the prohibitive price. My mom got this for me as a gift when my skin was freaking out. It’s a fantastic hydrating serum that is thick and soothing! I apply after a thorough rinse to damp skin. When I run out, I’ll replace this either with Maelove’s hydrating serum (as the ingredients are similar) or I may try out their popular Glow Maker serum! 🌤DESERT ESSENCE - Organic Jojoba Oil Pat on 3 drops of jojoba oil then use my roller around my eyes and brow bone. 🌤KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 Smooth an even layer for extra moisture and sun protection. The initial shine will dry down and give a nice non-greasy glow. +++ 🌙ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream Massage this in for 30 sec - 1 min, focusing on the T zone and where I’m wearing makeup 🌙CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream (repairing) OR MAELOVE - Night Renewer (exfoliating) with DESERT ESSENCE - Organic Jojoba Oil I dot one of the creams around my face, add a few drops of oil and blend together. You can also “lock in” your moisturizer by patting the oil on top, but since these creams are a bit heavier, I like to mix them so everything has a chance to absorb. 🌤🌙Vaseline - Lip Therapy, Advanced Healing Skin Protectant I use this all the time- only wish is it came in the cocoa butter formula! I may try out one of the tins.. but seriously- no chapped lips in the 2 years I’ve been using this! I’d love to hear questions/comments/feedback :)
sephora collection face roller!
OK so I have been dying to get a face roller because I’ve heard that they’re super Duper good for soothing your skin and really pressing your expensive products into your skin. The first shade roller that I was recommended was the harbor for one but that was $30 and I wasn’t ready to spend that. The Sephora collection one however is made of rose quartz which is apparently really good for your lymph nodes and is only $20! it is pretty easy to use. apply your product to your face with your hands and then gently roll the roller all over your face in slow pressing motions. it feels so good at the end of a long day. it’s nice and cool and helps de-puff your face. once you were done using it just grab a little bit of rubbing alcohol and wipe it off before you use it the next day, helps keep things sanitary. I have been using this for about six months and I am so in love I just picked up a second one! something that I really like about it is that it has a mini roller on the other side which you can use to de-puff around your eyes 👀 if mine ever breaks I will re-purchase! well worth SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Roller
Sensitive skin and acne prone
I have very sensitive skin which has made me try many products!!! I tried the newClean&Clear - Acne Triple Clear Facial Cleanser which made my face burn and didn’t work. It made me break out more! Then I’ve tried the clean and clear blackhead scrub which doesn’t burn just doesn’t work! I’ve tried a lot of stuff!!!! I’m also acne prone so it’s hard to find something that works for both. Then I found DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5% I’ve only been useing it for a couple days now and has already cleared a lot of my acne!!!! It works amazing and makes my less red and irritated!! Plus you can find it at target and Walmart so no online shopping or prescriptions!! It makes me feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin !!! Also for sensitive skin I would get the daily one for sensitive skin.!!!The next drugstore product that is really great is OLAY - Complete Care Day UV Fluid SPF15 Normal/Oily I have oily skin and easily burned skin and this works amazing!!! I’ve used it for a little more than a year and love it!!!!

Nightly skincare routine!
This is my nightly skin care routine. Very similar to my morning routine except two products are switched. For finished review go to my first post. I’m just going to review the added products here **** Step 1: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser Step 2: Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment Step 3: Eye Cream ***I’m still trying to find a good eye cream that works against loose skin and wrinkles. Anyone have any suggestions, put them in the comments below! Step 4: POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream So instead of the CeraVe am moisturizer with SPF, for the night time I use Ponds and I absolutely love it. The jar has lasted me for years! Just a little dab here and there and it leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and smooth. I used to have really dry skin on my forehead and eyebrows and ever since I started using Ponds, it has cleared right up! No flakes anymore! Cannot recommend enough. It’s so cheap and it smells so fresh and clean! Step 5: Clearasil - Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream At first I wasn’t a fan of this because I would put it on at night and then by morning my pimples would be huge. But then I would do it again and the next day they were gone! It doesn’t sting like some spot treatments and I like the cream texture for the night time. As you can tell it’s almost gone because I love it so much but much like the Pond’s, it has lasted me a long time! Let me know your thoughts and experiences in the comments! Thanks 😊💕

How I Get Rid of Pimple Marks in 3 Weeks!
I started having acne breakouts back in October 2019 and I had no idea what was causing it. Pimples and dark spots were always there for about 6 to 7 months, I had no idea what products to use so basically I just lived with it, hoping they will all magically disappear one day. Before I get into sharing with you guys how I got rid some the dark spots and actual acne as seen on the images on this post, let me give a back story—I grew up with 0 skin problems. Yes, you read that right, I didn’t go through that awkward teenage phase. Thus, I grew up having no knowledge about skincare. It all started back in 2017 when I visited Seoul Korea during winter time—I did not have any skincare routine, and I would literally just wash my face with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and that’s about it. I literally had no idea which moisturizer is good for my skin, even more so what serums are for, or even what face mask would suit my skin type. After 2 months of getting back from Korea, my skin suddenly started to feel dry, and that’s also when I started getting acne from time to time. I realized from there on that my skin type is normal to dry. Given that huge self-skin revelation, I started simple by incorporating the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Crème to my skincare routine and let me tell you that I have been using it daily, every day and night ever since! I promise you that it is lightweight and super moisturizing on the skin, and it won’t mess up with your makeup throughout the day. Every now and then, I have been experimenting with other skincare products but I keep on ending up with sticking to my simple 2-step skincare routine. Fast forward to what has been happening to my skin lately, I realized that I had to try and look for something that would really work for me. After doing proper research and watching endless YouTube reviews, I finally found 3 products that worked best for my skin problems: 1. Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Acne Clear Micellar Water 3-in-1 Caring Cleanser 2. Hada Labo Goko Jyun Hydrating Lotion 3. Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum I start off by cleansing my face with Cetaphil, pat my skin dry, then pour the Nivea Micellar Water onto a clean cotton pad and gently wipe it on my face. I usually consume 2-3 pads of cotton to make sure I get rid of all the excess dirt and makeup residue on my skin. After this step, I apply the Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion with the use of my finger tips to the drier areas of my skin and then let it dry for a few seconds before I apply the Snail Truecia Miracle Repair Serum on areas where I have dark spots. I finish off my skincare routine with the Nivea moisturizer and apply it all over my face. After adding these 3 products to my skincare routine, I could definitely say that I had way less acne appearing on my skin, and that my dark spots are now getting lighter. Would I recommend these to anyone? 100% yes!

Review My Routine 💜
Hello all!!! I’ve posted many skin care tips and products on here, but I thought I’d give a run down on my daily skin care routine. In the shower I use PanOxyl 4% creamy wash. I lather this allllllll over my face and let it sit on my face for roughly 3-5 minutes while I condition my hair. That’s the ONLY thing I use on my face in the shower. After getting out of the shower, I then apply my Cerave Moisturizing Cream. This stuff is the sh*t!!!! The absolute best lotion I have ever used in my entire life. (I also use this over my entire body) After moisturizing, I then use my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo cream. I put this on my more “troubled” spots. Mix this in super well, and you’re done!!!! As a final step, I LOVE to use my Rose Quartz Facial Roller. This makes me feel refreshed, and leaves my skin feeling plump and first. (Did I mention this also helps with SO many skin concerns?!? Hello!!! Do you see my pores?!?) This has been my daily for a few months now, and it has seriously worked wonders for my skin. Leave your skin care questions below!! ☺️ #ReviewMyRoutine PanOxyl - Acne Creamy Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 4% Daily Control CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) /kit·sch/ - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller

My Current Favorites ✨
These products save my skin when I’m feeling down! The Philosophy wash is my every day, and the Nivea moisturizer has been my favorite for years, I always go back. It makes my skin feel so hydrated and like it actually sinks in instead of sitting on top. I wear a mask daily, for multiple hours due to my job and I have been breaking out on the lower parts of my face pretty badly. I am also still struggling with my large pores!! I’ve tried Niacinamide and it does help some but not enough. Any tips or suggestions?

My Skincare Routine
I have Oily skin type with acne. My skin is also very sensitive. I love this skincare routine so much. It has helped control my acne. I don’t have clear skin but it really really helped control my acne. Before I would get breakouts every two days. Now i get breakouts every ten days. I use a spot treatment for two days then the pimple shrank. If you have oily, acne, and sensitive skin consider trying these products out. For the Cleanser i gave it 5/5. For the toner (it’s almost out) I gave it 5/5. For the Exfoliater i gave it 4/5 because it can make my skin very dry if i use it more than once a week. For the spot treatment i gave it 4/5 but i would give it 4.5/5 because it burns the pimple (i know it’s supposed to do that) but for my sensitive skin it burns more. It’s still bearable though. For the moisturizer i give it 5/5. In all most of the products are 4.5/5
