Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 4
Hey ya’ll! In part 4 of Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines we’re reviewing @Raks and @juliachristine’s skincare routines. Starting with @Rakswho reached out to me via Cherie message because she started skincare about a year ago because of her upcoming wedding. She starts by cleansing with theThursday Plantation - Tea Tree Face Wash Foam which costs $8.99 for 5.1 fl oz. This cleanser is very basic. It has tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. My issue is with the eucalyptus oil, which is a very irritating essential oil right up there with lemon oil and peppermint oil. If this doesn’t irritate your skin then it’s a great cleanser, but I can’t recommend it to those with sensitive skin. Then she goes in with 4 serums. First is thepura d'or - 20% Vitamin C Serum which costs $14.99 for 4 fl oz. This is a really good serum. It has aloe vera juice, glycerin, jojoba oil, and argan oil which are hydrating ingredients, and then it has hylaronic acid, retinol, and Vitamin C. I love it! Then she uses#The Ordinary - Nicinamide Serum[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $5.90 for 1 fl oz. We’ve talked a lot about this serum, it’s very good. Next is the#Tree Of Life - Hylaronic acid serum[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $10.95 for 1 fl oz. I don’t like this serum. It started off good with hylaronic acid, aloe vera juice, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but it contains way too many Essential oils and irritating extracts. And her final serum is theSkinMedica - LYTERA 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum which costs $130.90 for 2 fl oz, which is very expensive. This is not worth the price. It has nicinamide and glycerin, and then some not very researched acids. I don’t recommend continuing use of this serum. Then to moisturize she goes in with theOLAY - Regenerist Regenerating Day Cream which costs $29.99 for 1.7 fl oz. I don’t like this moisturizer. Let’s start with some positives. It has nicinamide, glycerin, and Vitamin B3. Now it has a lot of bad ingredients also. It has Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is a harsh cleansing agent, as well as fragrance being the 6th ingredient. The she uses a Neutrogena sunscreen, and occasionally usesThe Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which costs $7.20 for 1 fl oz. This is a great exfoliant. I think @Raks is using too many serums. I would stick to only the Pura D’or and The Ordinary serum, and ditch the other two. Keep the cleanser, and maybe try a different moisturizer. You asked for mineral sunscreen reccomendations for dark skin tones that don’t have a white cast, so I got you girl! I have light skin, but I did some research and I’d recommend the#First Aid Beauty - Weightless Mineral SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $34 for 1.5 fl oz, and the #Biossance - Squalane Zinc Sheer SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $30 for 1.7 fl oz. Both of these have minimal white cast, and Skincare by Hyram recommends them. Next is @juliachristine’s night routine. She starts off by cleansing with the #Vanicream - Unscented Gentle Cleanser[products]#[ThreeStars] witch costs $8.99 for 8 fl oz. This a nice basic cleanser with glycerin. Next she uses the#OBAGI - Tretinoin 0.025% Cream[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $84 for .7 fl oz. This cream has tretinoin which is a Vitamin A derivative which can treat acne, as well as retinol which also Vitamin A. I don’t think it’s worth the price, but it’s okay. Next she uses the #The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%[products]#[FourStars] which costs $7.99 for 1 fl oz. Along with azelaic acid, it has dimethicone which is a great moisturizer for dry skin. Next she uses theCeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin which costs $17.99 for 15 fl oz. Y’all know I love this product! Finally she finishes off with theVERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream witch costs $17.99 for .5 fl oz. Eye cream is definitely not necessary but this one is great! It has glycerin, algae extract, and olive oil which are hydrating, along with shea butter and a blend of peptides which can help firm the skin and increase collagen production which can help reduce fine lines around the eyes. Overall @juliachristine your routine looks great! That’s it for this post please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment your opinions on these products, and follow me for similar content. Upcoming posts include a 1 month Curology review and unnecessary skincare steps you don’t need. -Mae
Suggestions help?? 🥲
I’m still having trouble with my acne, at first it was clearing up then all of sudden it keeps getting worse, any recommendations will help ! 😣 Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser epielle - Black Charcoal Peel-Off Mask The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Sometimes I would use .. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but if I don’t I would skip it and use .. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

Product Review: Skincare and Makeup
I received these item free in exchange for my honest review on them. Iv been using these products for about a month now. So here we go! 1. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch Acne Pimple Master Patch $6. Firs of all holy value! These patches are actual magic. They are virtually invisible when on and I love how there are multiple sizes. It honestly cleared up deep pimples overnight. I’m going to stock up! 2. @LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) Effaclar Duo Acne Treatment. I do not have very strong breakouts, while I wish I had this product in high school when my acne was really really bad this product was good but too strong/intense for where my skin is currently at. I used it on a few problem areas but it seems more like a long term treatment not a quick fix for someone like me. 3. MAYBELLINE - Mascara Lash Sensational Lash Sensational I loved the applicator but the formula itself was just not doing it for me. It clumped together on the brush and that transferred over to my lashes. I think the applicator is awesome but not the biggest fan of the formula. 4. MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Master Chrome Highlighter. I absolutely love this product! It provides a very natural glow that is PERFECT for literally everyday. It blends beautiful and I just really love it. 5. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin GOLD STAR! This cleanser is seriously the BOM! It’s affordable, gentle, and gets everything from lipstick to lash glue off your face. I’m buying the biggest bottle they have right now!
Starting tretinoin and spironolactone
After 6 months of researching products and learning more about my skin and what works, I have finally found out the root cause of my acne. I feel like I’ve always had a good, consistent skincare routine. I’ve even made good lifestyle choices such as changing my pillow case every week, cutting out diary, limiting junk food, and drinking lots of water. However, I did not see any improvements with my skin. I mainly break out on my cheeks, chin, and jawline, especially when I’m on or about to start my period. I recently consulted a doctor for free thanks to my university’s student health services. She told me that this is hormonal for sure. I had been producing an excess of androgen hormones which lead to more oil production and eventually more acne. She prescribed me with spironolactone and tretinoin. I started taking these medications a few days ago. I think I’m in the purge period right now. I’m so glad I finally have closure on what has been causing my acne. I’ve never had serious acne problems in the past so this has been really frustrating. Current skincare routine: Morning: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide Night: íUNIK - Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil I also use the THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser every other night. If I need to subside a pimple, I would use Rael - Acne Healing Patch or the COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch I’ve been taking spironolactone every morning and applying my .025% tretinoin every other night. I’m giving my skin time to adjust to the tretinoin so I will start applying it nightly next week. For those who have taken spironolactone or tretinoin: how long did it take for you to see less breakouts? And can I still use my salicylic acid cleanser while on tretinoin?

The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution My Favorite 😍
I see my face different, cleaner and my spots are disappearing. Recommend this two product. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
FA safe but there is a Sulfur product I prefer
MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ^ has no fungal acne triggers Has 2 ingredients that help fight fungal acne: - Sulfur - Salicylic Acid Some people say it dries out there skin too much but I think it’s okay as a spot treatment. But it didn’t do much for my acne. A Sulfur spot treatment mask that works really well for me is De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength which you only leave on clean skin for 10 min then wash it off and use your regular skin care products
Review of Clinique’s clearing gel
I’ve decided to do a multi-part post where I review and breakdown the products in my everyday skincare routine (see first post for routine). This is Part 1! The spot treatment I’ve been using is CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel This has been a true game changer, especially with my hormonal acne. I bought this through Ulta when they had a special sale on Clinique products. I will admit when I purchased this I didn’t look at the size. It’s SMALL, like fits in my palm, mini, little bottle and it’s not necessarily cheap. But since I got it on “sale” I decided to still try it. I actually love the formulation and don’t mind the small packaging now (super easily to travel with!!), you also only need a very small amount. It’s a clear gel liquid that dries fast. I apply it only to problem areas (cheeks, jaw, upper forehead)/any new arising acne. I apply this after cleansing and use it in my my morning and night routine. It has a mild tingly/tight sensation when the skin is first soaking it in, but it isn’t uncomfortable at all. There’s a slight shine left on the skin after soaking in, but I apply my serums and moisturizer after this so it goes away. Since using this in addition to my usual routine my breakouts are super minimal and can be quickly and easily stopped in their tracks. I was getting terrible hormonal acne on my cheeks and jaw but I haven’t since using this! I 100% recommend to anyone looking for a better spot treatment. It’s well worth it! **Previously I used MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion this stuff worked ok at first but I’d have to apply it every night and it would get on my pillow and really dry out my skin/make me itchy. Eventually I felt it was only drying my skin out and no longer providing any benefits.

Why does my skin react different night vs day?
Over the years I have gone through hundreds of products figuring out what works for me. I have finally found a good set of products that I love, but sometimes when I use certain products in the daytime (such as Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and certain facemasks, I breakout so much worse than I do when I use the same exact product at night! I am confused by this so I have been wondering if it’s related to my oil levels throughout the day or what? Should I be using more drying products in the day time and hydrating at night? The only ones that really work for me day and night are The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil although I know Hyram has said oils are not for the face
getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.

Before and Afters still in progress....
I truly don’t like doing before and afters especially when it looks like there’s barely any progress but I promise you my skin FEELS so much better than it looks and I’ve seen some amazing progress! I’ve tagged the products I feel have helped the most recently. It takes patience but little progress is still PROGRESS 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

My Acne Skincare Routine - Results in 4 Days✨
I have always struggled with dry skin + acne since I was 18 and the moment I saw significant results on my acne, I knew that the only way I could find the one product to work on my skin type is if I get myself educated and open to trying out new things even if I think it won’t work since I am acne-prone. SWIPE LEFT TO SEE MY RESULTS: I started taking photos of myself to keep track of what I’ve been using that I can’t see by looking in the mirror everyday! (PRO TIP) So, I’m so glad to finally share this for everyone to keep in mind when trying out products and hopefully it will encourage you to try it out for yourself. Of course you need to do your research but hey, skincare is all about trial and error right? At least now you know what you don’t know! Here’s a sneak peak of my acne skincare routine👇🏼 DAILY AM & PM ROUTINE: Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser 1 squeeze + to gentle cleanse my sensitive skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 2 drops + for extra and clear overall imperfections The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 2-3 drops + bring hydration to my skin CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 1 inch or fingertip size + to moisturize CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin half a pump + I use it as my sunscreen for anti-aging Benzagel - Acne Gel 5% the reason why I got results in 4 days! Less is more due to concentration. I only applied on acne spots A few tips while using the products + keep in mind: For each products, I wait 1 min each to let it seep in to my skin applied by pressing the product on my skin to avoid premature aging applied my moisturizer and sunscreen lifting upwards (never down or circular motion) and enough to disperse the product but not as much touching my skin, if that makes sense I stopped picking my skin especially even if it was flaky! I had that habit for a couple of months which made my acne worst with marks before I tried the benzoly. So please take everyone’s advise on this! If you had to scratch your nose or you’re itchy, I usually just lightly press my fingernails on my skin. Weird but it helped to avoid irritation while I have my products on and if your hands are 100% clean, it won’t do anything + itch is gone! I hope you understood what I mean by pressing your fingernails Consistency and discpline is key! I don’t know why people don’t include disciple because without it, consistency is nothing. It’s also like saying something you don’t mean Notice that I include how much I used? Less is more and clearly, you can see the difference Notice how I only took a photo on the left side of my face? That can only mean because of my pillow. Please change it! Of course 4 days isn’t enough to get clear skin but it’s always a step closer to reach my goals so patience is also key!
My Skin Has Never Looked Better 🙌
So I haven’t done the let the app scan my face for flaws in a while so I figured why not do it right now? I was very surprised with my results. I knew that my skin was looking pretty good but over never had every category be green before! Here are the products I use: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I use it daily every morning and I pat my face dry with a towel. CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin I use this product after my face has dried from being washed. I also will put it on at night if I feel like my face is dry or has some dry spots. AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I love using this. It makes my faces feel tight and soft. My sister and I use it once a week on Saturday night for a little “spa time” in our room. I just use water but I do wanna try it with the apple cider vinegar some day
Acne sufferers need to read!!!
If you suffer from acne and don’t know what could be causing it, the problem could be rooted right into your skin care routine! Comedogenic ingredients (pore clogging) like coconut oil and sodium chloride have the highest comedogenic ratings and you would be surprised at how many companies use them in their products!! Products that say that they are meant to get rid of acne! These companies want your money and they want you to think that it is YOUR skin that is the problem and not THEIR products, so that you will keep SPENDING MONEY ON THEIR PRODUCTS!!!! Google search, “Comedogenic ingredients” and stop using your products if they contain a comedogenic ingredient with a rating higher than 2. Shea butter and argan oil are 2 examples of noncomedogenic, non pore clogging oils that are amazing for acne prone skin! Added fragrance is also an ingredient that can aggravate skin. Synthetic fragrance is a biggie but also natural fragrance like essential oils in leave on products. Citrus oils like lemon or orange in rinse off products like a cleanser or cream mask is good for skin, though. It took a lot of time, money, research and trials and errors but I am happy that my skin is finally clear and that I can help others get to this point as well! My non comedogenic skin care regimen: All of my skin care is cruelty free brands. That’s all I will use when it comes to anything I buy. Cruelty free. 🐰💗 Cleanser: ANDALOU NATURALS - Cleansing Gel, Citrus Kombucha, Clear Skin Mask (2-3 times a week) : ANDALOU NATURALS - Glycolic Mask, Pumpkin Honey, Brightening Moisturizer: I have been using Saadia Organics argan oil. It is not cheap but is the best hydrating product I have ever used. An alternative is Paulas Choice clear skin moisturizer. Extras: Once a week: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Glossier Niacinamide and zinc serum. Alternate days: MUAC lac-Luronic serum Once a week (*Tip: Leave on for no longer than 15 minutes. DO NOT let the clay dry on your face before rinsing it off. If it starts to feel dry after 5 minutes, rinse! It all depends on how dry your skin is at the time of application. If your skin is dry, the faster the mask will dry on your skin.): AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay Alternate nights of the lactic Acid 10%: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% withPAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster
ANDALOU NATURALS- Cleansing Gel, Citrus Kombucha, Clear Skin
Which one should I get?
(This post is long so a summary is I need help deciding between The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum thanks in advance 😊) Every morning when I wake up the first thing I do is look in the mirror as if my skin has magically turned clear over night (I really need to stop doing this ;-;) and Of course it has not. I feel like maybe something im using in my routine is not working. I have been using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%every night except exfoliation nights for about maybe two months now and I honestly can’t tell if it’s working because my skin has gotten tremendously worse in those two months (;-;) I also use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionevery Sunday and I do the The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solutionevery Tuesday and Thursday. I use the Aveeno - CLEAR COMPLEXION Cream Face Cleanser With Salicylic Acidevery night except my exfoliation nights and my holy grail cleanser (the dirty works creamy cleanser) every morning and on exfoliation nights. My main thing is I don’t know whether I’m doing too much or not enough. I know the healing process takes time but I feel like I’m not going anywhere and it’s so freaking frustrating. I promised myself not to buy anymore serums until I finish my niacinamide and that’s where the help comes in. I don’t know what to use after I finish my bottle. I don’t think the niacinamide has really done much for me so I’m thinking the retinol because I have plenty of post acne scars but I don’t know how that will affect my routine. I’m also thinking the alpha arbutin because it has vitamin c in it and it’s supposed to help with dark spots. I will say that my skin scars whether I pop my pimples or not (which is so goddamn unfair shshsjakaak 😭) so maybe the retinol because I have post acne scars?? I don’t know, I just know I need some help 😭

Finally, a skin care routine I can depend on!
I have a normal skin type until I had my MIRENA (Hormonal IUD). My skin is doing fine first couple of months then suddenly I start to notice I have skin irritation on my cheeks, it feels rough like it needs to be peeled and then I started having this very dry, dull, skin, pores were so enlarged i had to pop the whiteheads almost every other day coz it feels so rough and I thought it’s already worse. But the worst is yet to come. Couple days later I started having breakouts and I also start to freakout too! Been ordering couple of products but my skin doesnt approve so I was switching and switching skin care every now and then but nope, none worked and it’s getting worseeeeee. So, one day as I was searching for “skin care” I found The Ordinary products. I have heard about this and I didnt mind it. Coz it’s expensive in amazon so.. yeah, but as I was reading reviews and comments about it I was convinced that I think I should give this one a try. I stopped the cream that I have been using. And just continued to cleanse, tone and moisturize while waiting for these babies to arrive. Its been a week since i started using these babies and woaaaaaah! I can see my face really changing when it comes to texture, I mean its not oily shiny, but it is shiny. ( If you know what I mean) the pores? It’s still there but yeah, I know it will take some time. And so far no major breakouts, just noticed like 2 new pimples in 1 week. Im not worried coz I know these products will cause purging, I guess I’m lucky enough to have only 2 lol. Anyways, Im so happy, It worked for me, I highly recommend these products. And I will stick to these babies from now on! Ps. What worked on me, may not work on you. We have totally different skin types. I did a lot of research and reading before using these products so, I think you should also do it before you decide to try it. Andddd, I’m no skin care expert, this all from personal experience. Will add more photos soon for my skin progress!

A decade of struggle
I have struggled with my acne for a decade now and have have been up and down the rollercoaster of good and bad skin. I never was able to find something to keep the acne away. I tried every product, every wash, every zit cream, and medication; to no avail. Today I woke up with out a single pimple and that hasn’t happened in years! I know my skin still has a long way to go but I am so happy with where it is today. The bottom pictures are my face this morning with no filtering or facetune and I am thrilled! I think I am finally on the road to figuring out what is right for my face! I just wanted to share in my happiness today and document it, in case it doesn’t last 😂 These are some of the products I use but everyone’s face is different so it may not work for everyone! Also I don’t use all these products everyday so read directions and be careful! TWO WEEK SKIN TRANSFORMATION!!
This whole year I’ve been struggling with persistent acne again and I’m not sure what had caused it. I didn’t have much of a routine until now and just look at the difference! I’m actually amazed and so happy with how fast the results were! Thanks to this app I have found out what products to actually stay away from and which ones work best for me. Before, I was using the clean and clear acne set which included the cleanser, spot-treatment, and moisturizer, but I used that for months and months without any good results. The spot-treatment would help with redness overnight but that’s about all I noticed. Now that I’ve looked more into skincare and figured out what would be best for my skin type (combination skin) and acne, my skin is so much better as you can see, and in just a short amount of time! Here’s the products that have helped me achieve these results. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I’ve been using this every morning and night, and have found it to be much less irritating and drying than the clean and clear cleanser I was initially using. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I put this on after cleansing my face morning and night and I’m in love with the results! Definitely lives up to the hype. CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I’ve also been using this exfoliating solution out twice a week and it works amazing! (Although, I wouldn’t recommend if you have very sensitive skin) I hope this post gives hope to others who have been struggling with acne recently, I know how much it sucks to have acne in the summer. I’ve been trying to hide it with tons of makeup and have turned down going to the beach so many times in fear my makeup would wash off... If you think these products will work for you then give them a try! If you’re not seeing results with your current routine then don’t be afraid to try something new. I’m very glad I decided to make a switch, I was scared how my skin would react at first, but I’m so happy that in the end I stuck with my decision.

before/after one use of the Legendary peel
so idk if YOU will be able to see much of a difference in the photos (of course its not night and day) but irl, the result was quite impressive! other people even noticed! i only used this peel once, and for 5 minutes (half the time it says to keep it on) and overall, I noticed a dramatic decrease in inflammation, and it made my skin brighter! if my skin looked pretty good, it sure FELT great! it's so smooth!! i wanted to ease into this product bc you can very easily give yourself chemical burns with it, but i felt no discomfort whatsoever with it, so I'll defo be confident enough to leave it on for 10minutes next time. i made sure to start off with clean skin, then followed it up with nothing but a hydrating moisturizer (that was PURELY hydrating- no acne fighting ingredients), and then later, a sunscreen. i wanted to track my skincarn progress, especially with The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but if any of you were on-the-fence about this peeling solution, I hope my experience gives you some good insight! 🖤
