Keratosis Pilaris? Never heard of her.

Aside from seborrheic dermatitis, I was also blessed with keratosis pilaris, which is essentially bumps on my thighs and upper arms that are filled with keratin and are really difficult for me not to pop 🤦🏻‍♀️. I usually have scans and bumps all year round, but it’s at its worst in the summer when I have the most access to my legs and can mindlessly pick. I’ve been using FIRST AID BEAUTY - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA
for a while off and on and I find it works best when used routinely. When I used it 2 times a week, my skin was at its best! I’m getting back into the routine again, as my legs were getting pretty bad. I just picked up CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotion
a couple weeks ago and heard it’s good for keratosis pilaris (and so much more) so I picked it up and whenever I use the scrub, I follow up with this lotion. The result is smooth skin that’s actually healing and generating less bumps!

Worth the 💵
When I had first saw the $28 this product was going for I was a bit turned off from this product. My initial thought said “why do I need a scrub for $28, even if it does have glycolic acid?!” Well ladies & gents, I was wrong. I finally caved on purchasing this product when I had a Sephora coupon and when I was struggling with razor bumps from shaving my legs. My initial thoughts of the product was the scrub is very finely milled almost feels like sand when you go to the beach. This product also doesn’t have a smell which I love because I tend to go towards more fragrance free items. This product does an amazing job at exfoliating your legs before shaving so you can get a nice clean shave. I would just recommend hydrating after, which you should be doing anyways!😛 Pros: ⭐️ super fine exfoliation with the added chemical exfoliation ⭐️ not irritating ⭐️ helps reduce razor bumps when shaving ⭐️ also has helped reduce the look of some stretch marks on my legs. An added bonus I didn’t expect!! Cons: 😫 little drying 😫 price Overall, I would highly recommend this product if you can afford it!

New Beauty Buys
This body scrub honestly does wonders for KP (keratosis pilaris). I was first gifted this and then made a purchase 2 weeks ago. FIRST AID BEAUTY - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA A little background: keratosis pilaris tends to appear on upper arms, legs, or buttocks, and they’re those annoying tiny bumps & don’t hurt or itch. It’s actually more common than you think, and it’s not anything bad. It usually gets worse in the colder months because your skin is drier. @firstaidbeauty’s body scrub has helped my KP a lot in the past few days, and has helped me achieve that smooth skin on my upper arms. I think this product is worth it and something that I’ll keep purchasing in/for my body care routine. Have you tried this body scrub? If so, did you like it? @cherie@Cheriebeauty #cheriecreator

HELP!! What actives should I be using?
I’m really struggling to figure out which actives I should be using... which means I’m not sticking to any one in particular, just jumping around from product to product whenever I feel like it. I know I need to be consistent, I just don’t know which one(s) to do. What would be the best to use/combine? Should I use one type in the AM with sunscreen and another at night? Currently I’m using - Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil to remove makeup CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin as face wash DERMA•E - All Sport Performance Face Sunscreen SPF 30 as sunscreen and I recently switched to CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion from the CeraVe cream in the tub. I also have CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotionbut I’m hesitant to use it with my other actives. Any advice is appreciated, I’m really struggling 🥺

A 2 Week Update
After changing out my cleanser, toner, and moisturizer for the suggestions made by this app (and from reading your posts and watching Hyram’s videos) my skin is looking smoother and better than ever! I have sensitive skin that’s also combination and I’m allergic to some skincare ingredients and fragrances. I used to use CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula , CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 3 for Combination Oily Skin , CLINIQUE - 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula , and CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator (where the oily skin moisturizing gel was not good on my dry skin) as my nightly routine with HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub once a week. I found that first it worked to clear me up, but then my sensitivities came out. I still had little bumps come up on my forehead, my dermatitis was coming out on my nose, chin, and temple. I knew I had to change it up, but was afraid to break from the system I was so used to. I did the skincare scan and was recommended to try a glycolic acid toner for my acne. I picked up The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotion to help with my problem areas. I ended up using both products in more areas than just my face (as you can see in one of my previous posts). I wanted to change up my cleanser, and wanted the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin, but it’s still sold out everywhere unless I want to spend $40 CAD and shipping to get it from Amazon. I watched Hyram’s CeraVe dupes video and found the Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser . I was a bit apprehensive where it has fragrance, but it’s been good! Ooh, and I still use HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub once a week! My skin purged for a few days and now I’ve got the remains of 2 pimples barely left on my face, my red patches of irritated skin on my face are gone! All I’ve got to do now is to keep from touching my face (which is more on my mind due to the current state of the world) and stop popping pimples (which is a much easier feat where they’re minimal now!) My mom has even hopped on The Ordinary and Yo Glow train lol Let me know if you have any further suggestions or questions! ❤️

New favorite body lotion!
New favorite body lotion!
Okay, so this is the first Drunk Elephant product i have personaly purchased. I have used sample sizes of stuff I got from Sephora for my birthday month (stay tuned for that post) but this 25$ body lotion seemed within my price range from the brand. So I quickly snagged the last bottle of this specific one from my local Sephora. °The Tea° The packaging is super cute, much like the rest of the brands products. I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Upon opening and smelling (which can't be done in Sephora because of the rules of covid) it has a light candyish smell. It's not to strong and not faint enough you can't smell anything It's a thick white cream. For some reason i expected it to be pink or something. It's not to runny that it drips everywhere and not to thick it takes a year to rub in I found it was fast absorbing then other body lotions are, my arms didn't feel greasy or sticky after applying. The smell died out after absorbing which I'm not entirely mad about. with a friendly PH level of 4.2 this body lotion is said to restore dull, dry and irritable skin to a healthy and more balanced state. °The Verdict° I very much enjoy this body lotion, I wish the smell would have last a little longer then it did but I do recommend if your in the market. I'm looking forward to trying the other body lotions from the line aswell! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion

HOW TO GET SMOOTH AS BUTTER. BODY CARE! Hi friends, I am going to go through my body routine that I have been LOVING lately. Here are the product break downs in the order I do it. FIRST AID BEAUTY KP BUMP ERASER $34 HOW: I apply this in the shower when my skin is a bit wet. Leave it on for about 2 minutes then scrub it off. WHAT: A scrub that contains lactic, glycolic acid, and pumice buffing beads which promotes skin cell turnover. WHO: ALL SKIN TYPES !! If you feel you have bumps and dryness or many stubborn ingrown hairs please give this a go. Game changer for sure! FIRST AID BEAUTY - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA SKINFIX RESURFACE+ AHA RENEWING CREAM $60 HOW: Generously apply to dry skin and leave on. (It will sting if you put it on right after you shave, but its bearable WHAT: AHA blend lotion, great for gently exfoliating the skin WHO: ALL SKIN TYPES - maybe sensitive. (Try it out because My friend who’s sensitive has no problems but everyones different.) If you have bumps on your skin from ingrown or keratosis pilaris. skinfix - Resurface+ AHA Renewing Cream NIVEA COCOA BUTTER DEEP CARE SERUM $8 (depends where) HOW: Apply on dry skin WHAT: soothing lotion that hydrates the skin and claim for 48hrs WHO: DRY TO VERY DRY skin- although you can still try it. For those who hate the feeling of THICK LOTION, this is great!!! This is my 4th bottle. NIVEA - Cocoa Butter In Shower Lotion This is my current body care routine and my skin has noticeably gotten smoother and I am seeing fewer ingrown hairs. Try this out and let me know your thoughts! 💗 *** also you don’t have to use the scrub and the lotion together, you can use just the cream if you need something extra gentle!

Resurface+ by Skinfix
Resurface+ by Skinfix
I’ve been using the resurface+ line by Skinfix to try to deal with my ingrown hairs & some bumps that cover my arms. All the resurface+ products have a light lime scent, which I really like, but obviously fragrances aren’t for everyone so definitely important to note. I initially started using just the lotion, and it blew my expectations out of the water, the texture alone is so thick, a little goes a very long way so this has lasted me sooo long! It takes a little bit of time to absorb but it leaves behind such smooth skin and has made a noticeable difference in the texture of my skin. The glycolic renewing scrub is a grainy/salt like texture that is a bit difficult to spread because it’s meant to be applied to dry skin. It left my skin smooth and actually helped tame my ingrown hair! When used together, this is a true dream team. My skin is so soft, and my ingrown hairs are visibly better than they were before one use of these products. If you’re dealing with any type of skin bumps/need a deep body exfoliation, I highly recommend this line!!

My body care routine!
My body care routine!
I love skin care but sometimes we forget the skin is literally the largest organ of our body. People stop taking care of the skin below the neck but the rest of the body shouldn’t be neglected. I try to be diligent with my body care as well! I love using Nécessaire - The Body Exfoliator as my body exfoliator because it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin. It’s not harsh for my eczema! I go in with my Nécessaire - The Body Wash in Eucalyptus, it’s refreshing and awakening due to the eucalyptus and it suedes up good enough! It’s not drying and my skin doesn’t feel stripped after using it! Nécessaire - The Body Lotion *chefs kiss* this is my favorite because of how hydrating it is but it’s not thick! There’s no fragrance and not irritating on my skin at all!! These body care products have worked super well for me the past few months and Necessaire is a brand that I’ve been using for a few years due to their effective ingredients and something I genuinely love using! Definitely makes me feel like I’m at a spa everyday! #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

Eczema prone skin
Eczema prone skin
First things first, follow me for more content like this 😘💖. So I’ve struggled with eczema all 21 years of my life. When I was younger I would get frequent flare ups and they would last for such a long time. But, as I got older I had less flare ups and they wouldn’t last as long. Recently (since July) I’ve had a really bad flare up on my arms and legs. I’ve been extremely itchy and uncomfortable. I also wanted to switch my moisturizer because I was using the nivea and that was scented and too light for my dry skin and I literally hate using Shea butter in the summer. So I searched for a heavier lotion that could help with my eczema. I came across the cetaphil and I thought it could work and it was only $13. So I bought it last month and I started using it. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and all I can say is that my flare up has gotten worse (not sure if it’s the lotion or my constant scratching). The only thing I like about this moisturizer is that it’s heavy enough that my dry skin won’t soak it all up and leave me dry in the next few minutes. It’s super hydrating and moisturizing. But I do not get itch relief with this product 🥺. It makes me sad because I really wanted it to work. I recently just bought eczema honey, so I hope that works (review will come soon). I hope this helps someone🥺💖. It’s not a bad product, it just didn’t do much for my itch relief, more so for my dryness. It also does have an oatmeal scent to it Cetaphil - Restoraderm Eczema Calming Body Moisturizer

skinfix - Resurface+ AHA Renewing Cream Scrolling on Sephora, I was looking for a product that could help my rough and bumpy legs. I often get ingrown hairs and irritation from shaving. I came across this AHA lotion from skinfix and decided to give it a try. Firs off, the product is a huge tub. You definitely get bang for your buck because this would last me so long. I’ve had it for a month so far and it looks like I’ve barely put a dent in it. I wasn’t expecting this to have a scent to be honest because I thought it was going to be for sensitive skin. I didn’t like the lime scent at first, but now I really enjoy it. The scent actually doesn’t irritate my legs as I thought it would and I enjoy it now! It smells so much like a margarita! After almost 1 month if pretty consistent use, I can say that I’ve seen results! I’ve paired the use of this with a body scrub on my legs and while my legs aren’t perfectly smooth, they’re definitely better! My legs are way less itchy and irritated after shaving and my skin tone is a lot more even. My legs are drastically less red and bumpy! I wish I had a before and after but I didn’t even think of snapping a before photo! My only downside to this product is that its a bit expensive. $45 is a lot for a body lotion. As an alternative, I think people would see results with the Cerave SA lotion. While it’s a BHA not an AHA, I think the results would be comparable.
