Summer=No Face Cream❌Brilliant Face Creams to Save Oily, Summer Skin🌞

Lots of girls stop using facial cream in summer when the weather gets hot but this is actually not good for our skin care. Facial creams seal in skin moisture and protect our skin from skin-damaging environmental factors. The best facial creams are moisturizing without being greasy. I have mature, combination-dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin which flares easily. Below are three facial creams that I love using in summer. Anti-aging: Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells Advanced Regenerating and Repairing Care It has a thick yellow paste texture but spreads easily. It has a light rose scent and contains a high concentration of Pro-Xylane which improves skin firmness. I have dry skin, so I also use the richer version in spring and summer. When I apply a thick layer of it, using it as a sleeping mask, I'll wake up with delicate skin the next day.   Moisturizing: Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream It has a light pink, gel-like texture with a very rich rose scent. It contains black Baccara rose oil extract, geranium oil extract, and rose essential oil and I like how it feels on my face. It focuses on brightening and moisturizing, and doesn't cause my makeup to cake, so I normally use it during the daytime in spring and summer.   Restoration: LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream
I don't really recommend the La Mer classic version for acne-prone skin as it causes breakouts easily when not emulsified properly. This is the 'soft' version which doesn't need to be emulsified and can be directly applied on the skin. It offers great restorative care and whenever my skin starts flushing due to an allergic reaction, the flare can be soothed after I apply a thick layer of this cream before bed. It's an S.O.S emergency cream which I always make sure I have at home. Its unique algae extract also smells very comforting.

Dupe For La Mer?
🌺Update: I compared this with La Mer LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream . I think La Mer is a little smoother and thinner than One Ocean. It has a nice feel once rubbed in but right now I’m needing a lot of moisture and it didn’t do enough for me. It also contains fragrance which should be avoided in skin care items. As far as the smell, I don’t think it’s bad or overpowering but I didn’t care for it. I’m very sensitive to fragrance so I was not feeling this. I eventually washed it off and applied some facial oil instead for deep hydration. In terms of texture, I think this La Mer product was similar to Drunk Elephant’s Protini peptide moisturizer, though a little thinner. I prefer One Ocean for a nice moisturizer that incorporates marine ingredients. I think La Mer has a nice smooth finish but it just didn’t wow me. If you are looking for an actual total dupe for this particular La Mer product, I don’t think One Ocean fits the bill due to it being just the slightest bit thicker and the teensiest bit less smooth, but I would still recommend One Ocean over La Mer for all the other reasons I’ve listed here. ❤️I hope this was helpful! Let me know what your favorite moisturizers are! ❤️ 🌼Original post: I bought this after learning about the benefits of marine plants being in skincare (seaweed, algae, etc) while watching a review by a dermatologist about La Mer. La Mer is incredibly expensive, includes mineral oil, tests on animals and contains fragrance. They claim to have a special marine broth, so I searched around and found One Ocean which absorbs really nicely, is fragrance free, cruelty free and has no mineral oil. It contains “active marine ingredients including glycoproteins from the Antarctic and algae from the Sea of Japan, combined with high performance peptides.” It is said to “penetrate the skin, soothe and lock in hydration, to stimulate collagen to promote firmness, elasticity and skin hydration, brightens, smooths and visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles for a radiant complexion.” I’m really excited to try this. I’ll compare it to a small sample of La Mer in a bit, but knowing La Mer has added fragrance is an absolute “no” in my book, so I won’t be doing a long-term test. This seems like a really great moisturizer in general, light enough for the day and non-sticky. If you’re looking for the benefits of marine ingredients but want to avoid some of the problems with La Mer, this could be for you. I’ll post an update in about a week. Same Effect With 1/5 The Price? 🤔Sounds Like A Good Deal
I have combination skin. My skin is very dry in the winer, and it can get oily in the summer. It is kind of hard to find the right face cream for combo skin. In my mind, these two products are very similar. So today, I will compare the two and tell you the BEST Face Cream! Both of them have a moisturizing gel-like texture, but they also have slight differences. TATCHA - The Water Cream is more sticky but it spreads very easily. The LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream is more moisturizing but it doesn't spread as easily as the Tatcha The Water Cream. Both have a light refreshing scent. The Tatcha The Water Cream is an oil-free, moisturizing cream which helps in maintaining the water balance of our skin and minimizing the appearance of pores. The ingredients include Japanese Wild Rose, which can visibly tighten pores and smoothen skin texture, and Japanese Leopard Lily which helps to control excess oil and clarifies skin. Hadasei-3™, an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice, and algae, restores a healthy look and youthful radiance. In conclusion, the Tatcha The Water Cream focuses on moisturizing while also providing an anti-oxidant effect. It's more suitable for oily or combination skin. It's US$68 for 1.7oz. The La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream delivers soothing moisture for a refreshed feeling. It's created with Miracle Broth™ and Micro Oil Gel Capsules to bring nourishing moisture to the skin and at the same time help smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. Lime tea helps to protect against environmental stress and pollution for a pure glow. This cool gel cream is ideal for a combination or oily skin. It's US $335 for 2oz.  To sum up, the La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream provides a moisturizing, restorative, and anti-aging effect. It's a good choice for those who want to nourish and restore their skin. The Tatcha The Water Cream focuses on moisturizing, oil control, cleansing, and fighting oxidation. Both facial creams have different effects and properties. In terms of moisturizing, I think the Tatcha The Water Cream is sufficient. Do you agree with me? 😘 Share your thoughts!

Skin concerns: firmness, Fine lines & wrinkles
Skin concerns: firmness, Fine lines & wrinkles
I’m 40 now but since my mid 30’s I have been on search for the perfect night cream to help with firmness (elasticity), hydration, and help with my fine lines & wrinkles. I have purchased several Elemis products before & absolutely loved the Elemis anti-aging Eye serum. I have read & heard so many good things about there night cream, I decided to give it a try. I have been using this now for 5 months every night before bed & I feel in love 😍 The texture is thick, rich & creamy but doesn’t feel heavy on your face or leave your face feeling greasy. It has this soft calming smell, that is so relaxing. My skin is just loving this product, it just drinks it up. You can start to feel it working the moment you apply it, Instant softness. They give you this little tool to dip in and a little bit of this product goes along way. The next morning after my first time using I woke up to my face feeling amazing, very hydrated, super soft and smooth. Over the next few weeks I noticed that my pores were looking more refined, my skin looked dewy and more youthful. I noticed my fine lines on my forehead Were not as noticeable, and my complexion looked more uniformed & glowy. It Definitely helped calm down the redness from my rosacea, and has helped immensely with my dry skin. This product overall has left my skin feeling soo much healthier, brighter and youthful. I highly recommend this product to anyone over the age of 30 that is looking for a great night cream to help delay the signs of aging. It’s pricey at $120 to $160 per bottle but it is worth it. 5/5 ⭐️ If you sign up for Elemis text you get 15% off your initial purchase and they will let you know when they’re having sales which they do a lot. My thought of two hyped lotions
My thought of two hyped lotions
There are a lot of hyped skincare products in the market and a part of them are quite expensive. Are they really worth it? So today I want to share two products that I bought because lots of people recommend them, and both of them are lotions. If you have dry skin like me, my experience can be helpful for you. The first one isLA MER - The Treatment Lotion, which is a brand famous for its power of recovery. My skin always becomes sensitive when season changes or I travel to very dry places, so I decide to try this lotion that also has the Miracle Broth, the famous ingredient inside to help skin stabilized and hydrated. After I got it, I quite like it because of several points. First of all, the texture is thick liquid that can be absorbed quickly and will not conflict with my serums no matter the serum is oily or watery. Secondly, I can have really severe redness and dryness when I have allergy, and this lotion definitely save my skin. The last point Is the price, $155 for 150ml, which I think can be used for around half a year because I only use it when I need to. So, the price is totally acceptable since it is La Mer and its remarkable effect. The only thing I don’t like is the design of opening, making it difficult to control the amount. If you have similar problems, I 100% recommend it! The next one is from Cle de peau, calledclé de peau BEAUTÉ - Essential Refining Essence, which is also really popular and one of my friends who has oily skin told me she has used up two bottles. And I heard of that it Is a smoothing essence, which can help diminish pores by removing persistent impurities inside pores and reduce the clogged pores. Even I have dry skin right now, I used to have oily to combination skin and I can’t stop squeeze my nose to get the blackhead out, which leave myself really huge pores. And before I bought it, I already know this is more suitable for oily skin, so I didn’t expect anything like hydration or recovery. I put it in my wishing list for a long time until there was sale on Neiman Marcus, and I got a small size of it as gift. After using it for a while, I don’t really like it. Firstly, I think the alcohol is too much. I can accept lotions with alcohol, and I am usually not sensitive to it. But my face will become red and more fragile after using a cotton rubbing my face. And to be honest, I don’t see any giant changes of my pores, but it does keep my skin matte and fresh.   In conclusion, I think most of the hyped products can be great, but you must make sure it suits your skin type and do not “assume” something can be useful if it is not design for your skin type.

Propylene Glycol Has Been Saving My Dry Combo Skin For Years
Propylene Glycol Has Been Saving My Dry Combo Skin For Years
Propylene glycol (or PEG), along with other forms of glycol like butylene glycol, ethylene glycol, and glycerol, is commonly used in skincare and makeup products. It’s a humectant, emollient, and preservative that maintains beauty products’ freshness and keeps bacteria at bay, thus lengthening the products’ shelf life. It’s commonly seen in creams, serums, even hair products like shampoo and conditioner.   This is advisable for individuals who have dry or dry combination skin types (like myself) who are looking for extra moisture and hydration. It’s a moisture-locking agent which attracts water and traps it in the skin, keeping our skin well hydrated. It also smoothes out the skin while maintaining a light non-sticky feeling. Since it draws water onto the skin, it’s a major lifesaver if you’re starting to develop fine lines. We all know that there’s no room for fine lines and wrinkles in a well-hydrated skin. Another plus factor of PEG is that it helps the absorption of other skincare ingredients, making them more effective.   I learned about this ingredient through various resources online. I’ve always been curious about skincare ingredients, and this is one of the items that is almost always present in a number of my skincare products so I looked it up on EWG and other online sites.   Since a lot of my skincare products have PEG in them, and I don’t experience any irritation or breakout or anything negative on my skin, I think this works well for me. Considering the fact that it helps in hydration, I believe this ingredient has been helping me maintain a well-moisturized skin.   Some products worth noting are Physiogel calming relief AI cream which helps with my psoriasis flare-ups, and La Roche-Posay Uvidea melt in cream, which is one of my fave light sunscreens.

Stress repair face cream with niacinamide
Stress repair face cream with niacinamide
I got the new Dr Dennis Gross - Stress Repair Face Cream with Niacinamide in a giveaway with the brand, where they sent me a routine customized for my skin’s needs. This cream has niacinamide, superfoods, adaptogens, and sweet almond oil, and it claims to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and help correct/prevent signs of stress like redness, dryness, and dullness. This cream is suuuuper thick and luxurious. It feels deeply nourishing on my skin, and when I apply it there’s a very subtle cooling sensation—it feels very calming. I use this as my last step in my night routine, and it definitely helps soothe my redness. I’m pretty sure the niacinamide is helping calm my current breakout and reduce redness. Long story short, I really love this cream—like almost as much as the DDG peel pads. A little goes a long way.

Sensitive Skin? Don't Worry! I Discovered The Best Routine!
Sensitive Skin? Don't Worry! I Discovered The Best Routine!
I have sensitive skin which often causes flaky skin and skin redness. However, ever since I found a skin care routine that suits me, my skin condition has stabilized. You can try this out if you also have sensitive skin. LA MER - The Treatment Lotion I always use this lotion after cleansing. It is said to contain 99% serum plus 1% water, and 3 to 4 drops of it is enough for the entire face. It is suitable for oily, dry, and sensitive skin as it's really moisturizing and refreshing, leaving your skin feeling really soft and delicate. CLARINS - Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate At first, I bought this double serum when I saw a blogger I like using it. Its two-phase formula is quite moisturizing and is suitable for all skin types. It contains lots of anti-oxidant ingredients, glycerin and other moisturizing ingredients. It forms anoil film on your face when first applied but it's soon fully absorbed. Lancôme Blanc Expert Melanolyser Integral Whiteness Spot Eraser Although this spot eraser is considered a whitening serum, it's suitable for sensitive skin as well. However, I don't apply it to my entire face, only on dull spots and it really brightens the skin. A white creamy texture, it is scent-free, non-greasy, can be easily absorbed, and can also be used as a moisturizing lotion. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration This is a savior for dry-sensitive skin as it not only repairs the skin barrier of sensitive skin, it also keeps skin moisturized. Emulsify and apply it to reduce redness during allergy flares. It is considered a drugstore alternative of La Mer by many bloggers.

Products for sensitive skin
Products for sensitive skin
My skin is so sensitive and it always goes red spontaneously. To repair and protect my skin, I have tried thousands of treatments. Among all of these products, I find that Elizabeth Arden and HELENA RUBINSTEIN together with LAMER do work. Now, I would like to share them with you. Elizabeth Arden RETINOL Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum As we know, Elizabeth Arden is famous for its Golden Capsules Serum, which is named as Daily Youth Restoring Serum. If you would like to try Elizabeth Arden to repair your sensitive skin, then please buy RETINOL Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum. Believe it or not, the latter one would give you a better experience since it has as strong repairing power as the golden one with a less greasy texture. Personally, I always use it after cleanser and I can easily find that it can reduce skin redness to a large extent. HELENA RUBINSTEIN POWERCELL SKINMUNITY cream I have used HELENA RUBINSTEIN POWERCELL SKINMUNITY cream for more than three years, and I love it so much. What fascinates me most is its pleasant scent with its suitable texture, which is not so thick but moist. I usually apply it to the sensitive area and it is quite effective in relieving and soothing the skin. LAMER moisturizing cream I have used LAMER moisturizing cream for more than five years, and I can say that it is the most brilliant skincare product I have ever used. It is really helpful in soothing and hydrating the skin. There is no exaggeration to say that it can heal most of the skin problems. If you are worried about the skin dryness, please use it. If you are annoyed by the skin redness, please use it. If you are irritated by the acne marks, please use it since it contributes to fading them. Unlike another cream which can be applied on the face directly, you have to warm LAMER cream for a few seconds between the fingers until it becomes translucent, then press gently into the skin. Although the method of application is a little bit complicated, the effectiveness of LAMER cream would let you ignore this tiny shortcoming. Conclusion For me, I always change the order of applying skincare products due to the skin condition. But most of the time, I would use Elizabeth Arden Serum as an introduction of follow-up skincare products and I would choose HR cream in the daytime while applying LAMER in night. I recommend these three products enthusiastically since each of them would never let you down.
