Pink Pearls VS. Pure Gold, Guess Who Wins?

I bought the GUERLAIN - Météorites Primer Perfecting Pearls
first and it's so stunning! Using 2 pumps each time lasted me around 2 to 3 months. The gel turns into water after it's spread out, and its fine shimmers provide my skin with a translucent glow! It has a highlighter effect. However, most of its ingredients aim at moisturizing and nourishing, and not much else, so it's more suitable for youthful skin. The GUERLAIN - L'Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold
has a more watery texture, and it spreads and sets on my skin easily. I don't really see the gold after it's dissolved, so it has no highlighter effect. It's said to contain anti-aging and nourishing ingredients, so it's more suitable for mature skin. You can choose the pink pearl primer if you're looking for a shimmery foundation, or you can choose the pure gold primer if you're looking for an anti-aging and natural foundation.

Guerlain's Primer Awards
These three primers are all Guerlain's signature products. Each has its own strengths in shine-control and hydrating effects to provide for different needs. I have a oil-combo skin. GUERLAIN - Météorites Primer Perfecting Pearls-pink pearl Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Perfecting Primer (White Booster)-white pearl GUERLAIN - L'Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold- pure gold The pink pearl primer is a very suitable primer for combination-oily skin. It's shine-free, moisturizing, and non-greasy. The white pearl primer is for summer use. It's the best in terms of shine control. But it's not as moisturizing as the pink pearl primer. You also have to wear another layer of sunscreen as this white pearl primer doesn't provide UV protection. The pure gold primer is a moisturizing product. It's suitable for combination-oily skin as it's moisturizing, refreshing, absorbed easily, and it feels airy-light on the skin. After using it, my skin no longer peels or gets as oily as it used to. Simply put, for shine control: White Pearls Primer > Pink Pearls Primer > Pure Gold Primer for moisturizing: Pure Gold Primer > Pink Pearls Primer > White Pearls Primer

Perfect Duo For Dry Skin
GUERLAIN - Parure Gold Radiance Foundation SPF30 This is my favorite foundation as it provides decent coverage, is long-lasting, and doesn't slide off. It's suitable for combination skin.Theoretically, it's not suitable for dry skin, especially in winter. I have dry skin, so I applied this foundation together with GUERLAIN - L'Or 24K Gold Radiance and Hydrating Primer and it's perfect for me. GUERLAIN - Parure Gold Radiance Foundation SPF30 has a creamy texture and is not runny, so it takes patience to blend it properly. It provides good coverage on acne scars, pores and dark circles. It also provides my skin with a translucent glow and is long-lasting. I'm using the lightest shade, 00. Shade 01 is an ivory white, which provides better coverage than shade 00. GUERLAIN - L'Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Goldis a gel primer infused with serum for skincare. It's not runny but spreads easily and is easily absorbed by the skin. It's very hydrating, refreshing, and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy. It prepares our skin for a long-lasting look and after using it, my makeup no longer rubs off easily. I really recommend this primer if you're looking for a moisturizing product that maintains long-lasting makeup.

MAYBELLINE Fit Me! VS. NARS Radiant Concealer
MAYBELLINE Fit Me! VS. NARS Radiant Concealer
NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer is the most raved about concealer and the MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Concealer has always been said to be a good dupe for the Nars concealer.🤩🤩 As you can see, both products have easy-to-use doe foot applicators and could make corrections to little flaws.👍🏻 As for the main difference, Nars concealer has a thicker consistency with a slightly fuller coverage while the Maybelline one is more dewy with a medium coverage.🤜🏻🤛🏻 I have a combination skin with somewhat oily T-zone and dry cheeks, in my case, Maybelline Fit Me concealer doesn't melt into the skin and it tends to sit on top which can give a cakey look. Nars radiant creamy concealer matches my skin perfectly, which is my all time favorite and I have repurchased it many many times. 💸💸😭😭 NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer is $30 for 0.22 oz and the MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Concealer is around only $7 for 0.23 oz. So Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a good option if you're not ready to commit to the price tag of the Nars.🤟🏻🤟🏻

TWO FOUNDATIONS FOR DRY SKIN
TWO FOUNDATIONS FOR DRY SKIN
I have used Bobbie Brown's intensive skin serum foundation for about half a year. And I have tried another popular foundation for dry skin last winter. Today I want to share my feelings about them to you guys. And tell you which one I will recommend and repurchase. Product 1: Bobbie Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation Price: AU$93 This foundation's packaging looks luxurious. It says the serum foundation, which means it is kind of like a hybrid between skincare and foundation. It should actually get the best of both worlds. It is formulated for normal to dry skin which is perfect for me. This product is with SPF25, which is not enough, but I always wear sun cream, so I don't mind it. It has an enjoyable applicator which is like a pipette. The foundation is not a runny texture, but it still very lightweight. It gives a light to medium coverage and it's buildable as well. When you applied it on your face, it is so natural and so easy to get in. It isn't patchy and difficult to use at all. The only thing that I don't like is the applicator. The foundation is a bit thicker and not that watery. It's actually challenging to get it up into the pipette, so it can be a bit difficult to get out. It has natural ingredients in it, so it smells lovely. After using it for about six hours, it went glory and healthy. I mean, I just really felt like my skin looked so healthy. It hadn't settled into any fine lines or anything like that. However, it started to a bit fade, especially my nose area. I would say this foundation is not a long-wearing foundation. Still, it can easily last for six hours without going anywhere. Product 2: Guerlian Radiance Foundation Price: AU$132 This product's packaging is a gold and black bottle. It is very nice, and I like this color combination. It has a pump which is more convenient to get the foundation out. It comes to 12 shades, so you have many choices to choose a shade which is suitable for your skin. This foundation has SPF30+ and made in France. It's supposed to be hydrating and waterproof. The foundation's texture is quite thick with solid medium coverage, and it is creamy. You can use sponges or cosmetic brushes, which are performed with this foundation very well. After using it for about six hours, It felt great and it was very light. I didn't feel like anything is drying me out, and nothing fell apart. It went perfectly on my face. It has a very bit of a fragrance to it, but it is very faint, and it does not bother me. Therefore, I don't mind that. Overall, I prefer Guerlain's foundation. Its applicator is more convenient, the foundation can stay longer, the coverage is better, and the only downside is that it's a bit expensive.

Flawless yet oh so natural
Flawless yet oh so natural
I admit, I have tons of foundations, I know I have a problem! But this award-winning star product from Estée Lauder is one of my faves! It stays in place all day, the coverage is great but it doesn’t give that cakey, fully made-up look. It goes natural against my skin so I look like I’ve been going on facial trips to the dermatologist. I love watching other people on YouTube play with makeup but I’m not the type who likes to purchase eye palettes and highlighters (for now, this might change in the future!) so I have must-have items in my book, and a good foundation is one of them, especially if it offers natural coverage.   At $43 a bottle, it’s just a tad pricey so I don’t go all-out happy and apply too much product each time I use it cause a little goes a long way, and if you’re like me who love a natural no-makeup makeup look, then this bottle is perfect for you. Seriously can’t live without this product! Worth every dollar!

I saw many mixed reviews about the new cover girl clean skin milk foundation so I decided to try it out. I love the finish, feel and coverage of the foundation, however, it clings to ANY dry skin like crazy!! I recommend to use a physical exfoliate before using this foundation just to make sure there is no dry patches. Also as always make sure to let your primer sit for a few minutes before applying because that can also make it pill up or emphasize more texture! This concealer is AMAZING!!! I don’t usually wear concealer unless I’m using it as a base for eyeshadow, but this one is my new holy grail! It sits amazing on the skin and on the eyes, I have very oily eyelids even with powders to set it it still creases but I wore eyeshadow with this as a base and it lasted 8hours!!! Try it out! The maybelline cheek heat is not worth it! I bought it hoping it might be a dupe to my holy grail cloud paint but no! It has no pigment whatsoever but the texture Is very unique and cooling! If you want to try it I recommend the darker shades, they should be more pigmented but cloud paint will always be better!

Regretful purchase: Hourglass vanish stick
Regretful purchase: Hourglass vanish stick
⚡️ The what: This is the Hourglass vanish stick foundation. Mine is the shade “alabaster”. This product is available at Sephora, online retailers, and the brand’s website. ⚡️ The details: This foundation claims to be full-coverage, have a natural finish, long-wearing, and waterproof. The product is shaped like a triangle for ease of use and fast application. Hourglass is cruelty-free, and this product is vegan. ⚡️ My thoughts: So....I regret this purchase. This foundation stick was really, really hyped about 2 years ago. I had a sample size in a different shade that I used up and really loved. My feelings changed when I purchased a full size. This foundation is easy to apply. It blends very easily and the formula is creamy. It is full coverage and looks amazing for about an hour or two. Afterwards, my face starts to look both greasy and dry in various areas. It’s so strange! My foundation looks like total garbage after the end of my work day (about 9 hours after application). It is NOT waterproof. This foundation also transfers easily. I did purchase this for 20% off during a Sephora sale, but I still regret this because I don’t like using it. I’ve been able to use half of it by mixing it with another foundation, which helps increase longevity and combat the dryness/greasiness. Not worth the hype! ⚡️ The price: $46 USD 3/5⭐️HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

When you have a foundation that doesn’t match...
When you have a foundation that doesn’t match...
So recently I was gifted the BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector and BECCA - Ultimate Coverage 24 Hour Foundation from the brand to try out and review. It’s incredibly hard to try and colour match foundations through a screen, so when it arrived it was much to light for me..... so I had to do some work!! First off: the foundation is great for coverage. It’ll hide any imperfection you may have with a slightly thick layer on the skin. It’s thicker but still feels wearable. This foundation would be perfect for me if it just lasted longer. I spent a full day shopping and afterwards I noticed that it had separated and was pretty patchy. But omfg did it look perfect for at least 3-4 hours!! The primer is lovely, I used it under this foundation and under a couple others and it truly just brightens up the complexion. It’s incredibly serum like and watery and hydrated the skin fairly well, the glow was what made me want to continue to use it however! So now for the colour matching fiasco. I applied a tinted sunscreen to help darken my complexion slightly hoping it would mix with the foundation a little and it did help it look less white on my skin. I then went in with a powder that gives a slight coverage (Smashbox Hydrating powder) knowing it would darken the colour a bit too. And then I took my brush and swiped on a generous amount of my Milk Baked Bronzer and Werk Blush all over and not as precise as I normally would. Then I topped it off with BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in champagne pop!!! Having these four products be the star instead of the foundation definitely disguised the product tong colour match and safe to say I loved the look!!!
