Super skincare combos!! ❤️
I keep this chart handy when I have certain skin issues! My favorite pairing on this chart is......
Retinol + Niacinamide 💞💞These two were absolutely made for each other!! Niacinamide can help reduce the redness and the irritation many experience when using retinols. Niacinamide can also enhance retinols therapeutic effects!! Here is how to make the most out of this match!
Use niacinamide twice a day for a couple of weeks prior to starting treatment with retinol.
Continue to use niacinamide as a ‘buffer’ during treatment with retinol.
Niacinamide and retinol can be used together with a five-minute gap between application but are likely to be just as effective if you use them at separate times of the day.
If you are applying niacinamide and retinol together at the same time then it is best to apply the niacinamide FIRST if it is in the form of a serum or LAST if it is in the form of a moisturizer.
Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily when using retinol (you should be using sunscreen daily anyway). If you aren’t using sunscreen honestly there isn’t really a point to try and combat anti-aging etc.
If you are new to retinols, it’s best to start by using once a week and you can work up to more from there. Especially if you have sensitive skin ❤️What’s your favorite pairing from this chart? 🤔

is hyaluronic acid necessary? 💦
Has anyone else noticed how Hyaluronic Acid serums became very popular in skincare routines in the last couple of years? Why has this happened? Hyaluronic Acid is naturally made in our bodies, mostly in our joints. Animals are also known to have HA in their bodies as well. Having it in our bodies keeps everything “lubed up.” HA comes in many different molecular weights and having different weights in a serum help the product sink in the different levels of your skin. HA is more marketed to people with dry skin because of it can help your skin not loose water, and dry out. That being said I was watching a YouTube video by esthetician Cassandra Bankson where she talks about it. She actually said that if you live in a humid environment then HA can be beneficial for you, but if you live in a dry climate it can make your dry skin worse. This is because it has no water to hold onto so it draws the moisture out of your skin. When I was watching this a giant light bulb went off in my head! I was having the same issue with hyaluronic acid serums! I actually felt more dry even when I would use them while my skin was still wet, it even caused some redness in my skin. This Naturium serum is a really good cheap option for people who know HA works for them but personally HA Doesn’t work for me :(. In conclusion, don’t believe all the hype when it comes to HA. Also, think about your environment and if it’s really necessary for you. Has anyone else had similar reactions to hyaluronic acid? NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5%

Help your skin and the environment.
I don't have enough good things to say about the products from Krave Beauty. This product has saved my skin when I get carried away with exfoliating or I have been out in the sun too long. Keeping your skin barrier healthy is an important part in skincare. This product is perfect for people who over wash their face, skin is constantly dehydrated, has constant redness/irritation, and people who have chronic stress. (when stressed your body released cortisol and it affects your skin barrier!) Key ingredients: Tamanu Oil: an oil that shows remarkable skin-regenerative properties and was used to treat wounds and cure varies skin problems originally. Safflower Oil & Rosehip Seed Oil: 2 plant based oils that have amazing skin nourishing properties. NMF+Ceramides, Phytosterol, and Squalane: this cocktail of ingredients is meant to mimic a healthy skin barrier. All these elements are natually found in your skin already, when you put your body in a stressful state we loose these ingredients, so replenishing them in important. I love using this after my adapelene gel because I know then my skin won't get to irritated by the retinol product the next day. **Every purchase of GBR helps protect not only your skin barrier but the Great Barrier Reef as well! 2% of all sales go towards the GBRFoundation. So you're not only helping your skin but also the environment. Tip: Press Reset! Sometimes our skin needs a little bit of a break from all the ingredients that we like to use.

✨ Some of my favs ✨
These are some of my favorite brands that I 💙!! Purlisse and Yensa and both owned by the same company and make awesome skincare and beauty products. Skin Script is what I use in the treatment room and both my clients and I are obsessed with everything they create. A newer brand I recently discovered is InstaNatural! Hale and Hush is a very good professional brand if you have sensitive skin. Josie Maran can be found at Sephora, but their facial oils are awesome. Yeouth retinol is very gentle on the skin. Most, if not all, these brands are cruelty free, vegan friendly and free from sulfates, parabens and much more! pūrlisse - Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliant YENSA - PUMPKIN TURMERIC 2-in-1 Radiance Polishing Mask JOSIE MARAN - Skin Dope Argan Oil + 100 mg CBD insta natural - Glycolic Acid Serum #skincare #shelfie YEOUTH - Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera

Summer to Fall Skincare Routine Changes🍁
I have sensitive, acne-prone combo skin. I live in New England so when the weather changes I find I need to make some adjustments to my regular routines. I plan this out ahead of time so I know I have products on the shelf and ready because when it gets cold here, it happens FAST. My current summer base routine for the day (pictured): 1. Water-based cleanser ☀️ Current = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid ☀️Current = Face Serum by SkinKissed 3. Moisturizer ☀️ Current = Daily Greens by Farmacy 4. Sunscreen ☀️ Current = Beet Shield by Krave As it is now summer, this is a lightweight routine and I love it. This addresses my concerns without making me feel greasy. When fall comes, my goals are the same in terms of preventing acne, keeping skin bright, etc., but I also need to focus on hydration. Here’s an example of what I’m thinking💭 🍁 Fall Routine 🍁 1. Cleanser = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave $16 for 4.05 oz This cleanser is actually already very hydrating for my skin and I love the ingredient list, price point and of course it’s packed with antioxidants. This is a year round product for me now and I’ve been recommending it to my friends. 2. Vitamin C- Vitamin C Serum by Mad Hippie $33.99 for 1oz I’m struggling a bit with Vitamin C. I like the one I have, I’m just ready to try something new and this one looks INCREDIBLE. It has amazing ingredients that are anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, soothing, brightening and hydrating. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free. I always have a Vitamin C serum in my morning routine because it helps my skin so much! I’m also going to try the one by Naturium just to see if it was worth the hype and drama. 3. Moisturizer Day time- Oat So Simple by Krave $28 for 2.7 oz This will be a new one for me, but as you can tell, I adore Krave. This still looks fairly lightweight and with the oat, it is calming for irritations and rebalancing for stressed skin damaged by environmental aggressors. Night time- Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz I stopped using this at night for summer, but as things get cold here, having that layer of super hydration at night will really help my skin again. I love this product. It’s super affordable and honestly always helps. It has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides in it too. 4. Sunscreen = Centella Unscented Sunscreen by Purito $15.90 for 2oz I stopped using this for summer because it’s a bit thicker than Beet Shield and more hydrating which I didn’t need this season. This has soothing properties and feels smooth on the skin. I absolutely love this and will use it each morning when it starts to get chilly! I’m also buying it for my mom who struggles with dry patches and redness. 🍁What are you adding into your routine for fall? K- Beauty 🌟 TONYMOLY
TONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Firming Ampoule This calming ampoule is packed with vitamin B5 and extracts of aloe vera, ivigo fruit, neem tree flower, holy basil leaf. It claims to soothe and hydrate irritated skin which is one of the most popular skin concerns. I have sensitive skin and this product really eases my redness and irritation. I usually apply this product after washing my face, but another way I like using it is to mix it with my foundation to add glow to my skin 🌟 The consistency is light, runny, and silky! I would definitely recommend this product- believe me your skin will thank you for taking care of it. 4/5 stars- I'm taking a star off because I dont like that it makes my face feel sticky while t is still being absorbed.
