THE ORDINARY HAUL UPDATE
the products I have purchased have been amazing, I'm absolutely in love
my morning routine now is
cleanse with squalaneThe Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser
apply TO The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5
then moisturize with CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream
and what I forgot to put in my first post, I finish off with sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50
before my makeup
evening, cleanse again, use the The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution(please don't use if you have sensitive skin) my skin is used to retinoids from previous attempts at fixing my skin, and this product leaves me feeling clean, but sensitive skin can have a very different reaction
then I mix together The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5withThe Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder
it comes with a little scoop and I use the recommended 1/4 scoop mixed with the hyaluronic acid.
then I use the same moisturizer
Now let's talk about my thoughts! I love the cleanser, it leaves me smooth, not dry, not right, but I feel super clean like the days dirt is just gone which is fantastic. the purge process has definitely started, but I just use acne patches and the purge so far isn't that bad.
mixing the niacinamide with hyaluronic has been fantastic for me! I never liked the niacinamide with zinc, the zinc irritated my skin and I would get these pustules along my jaw bone which haven't made an appearance since I switched, so it was definitely the zinc.
the amino acid serum, this one I'm conflicted. it has helped in preventing breakouts while wearing makeup, but it's so watery I would've preferred if it came in a spray bottle for easier application. not sure if I'd repurchase the hyaluronic could probably do what it's been doing to my skin.
and the toner! arguably the most controversial of these products. this has helped brighten my skin so far, and my pores look so much smaller! that's probably the hydrating products I've been using, but I also haven't gotten blackheads clogging said pores either so I think it's a bit of both!
I'm curious to see how effective this routine will be during my more hormonal days, I will continue to update!

The ordinary haul
so I impulsively got a ton of stuff from the ordinary based on reviews and what several of their online employees have recommended.
I gotta save, I've only work the hyaluronic acid for a day and it feels fantastic! I'll be updating in a month-6 weeks to give an accurate update, but I really gotta talk about the hyaluronic acid. I've tried them before and they were just sticky, and didn't feel great, this one is fantastic! my face felt so plush and soft! it was the first thing I tried and it is amazing!
posting new results in a short while guys!

๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐๐โ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Honey, itโs been a long quarantine year, but it most definitely ainโt April. True, but with a good skincare routine, your skin can defy the seasons and bloom like a flower in April. APRILSKIN promises: High performance gentle skin solutions. Is it true?
Well the first good thing I can say about both: i did not break out and I did not experience any irritation on my skin using either.

APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฟ:
๐ผProduct goes on clear with dissolving calendula petals
๐ผProduct dries in 20-30 minutes
๐ผ Extracted from 100% real Calendula Flower Petals
๐ผ Orange Peel Oil clears up acne, reduces puffiness and redness (plus pore size)
๐ผ Goes on smooth with the Aprilskin Jelly Brush
๐ผ A lot more gentle than the average peel off mask

โก๏ธThe smell is the opposite of enticing: itโs strong and smells similar to alcohol (fades once it dries)
โก๏ธIt feels tight after it dries
โก๏ธ Dry skin? This will only make it more dry
โก๏ธ It only appears to take off surface oil and dirt, not going deep enough though it claims to penetrate (my skin does feel clean afterwards though)
APRILSKIN - Real Carrot Blemish Clear Serum
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฟ:
๐ฅ non-commodigenic!
๐ฅIt brightened and soothes my skin
๐ฅ It sinks into my skin pretty fast about 3minutes
๐ฅContains Hyaluranic Acid and Niacinimade
๐ฅFaded some of my Hyperpigmentation and acne scars
๐ฅglides on like silk
๐ฅHelps with Milia
๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ:
โก๏ธThe smell again... not bad but kind of like organic soil in the garden section
โก๏ธThe texture is light, slide-y with a milky white color but before settling has a sticky kind of residue
โก๏ธ Says that it soothes but contains some essential oil ingredients that could cause irritation
**I am happily on my second bottle of calendula peel off mask but I more than likely will not be buying another bottle of carrot serum

My acne holy grail
Iโve been using these for about a month or so and I LOVE them! I still have acne but it is significantly reduced and my acne hyperpigmentation has gone down quite noticeably.
Curology - Curology formula Mine has 4% niacinamide, 1% clindamycin, and .25% zinc pyrithione. It did dry me out a little bit and I flaked a little on my cheeks. I did not purge which was great! I gave it 4 stars because Iโve only been using it for a little over 3 weeks and I feel itโs too soon to fully give it 5 stars considering I (understandably) still have acne.
DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel This gave me significant drying and took a couple weeks to adjust to. But I noticed a difference in literal days!! Iโve been using it for almost 5 weeks now and love it! Also didnโt purge with it. And Iโm giving it 4 stars for the same reason as curology.
The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this is an incredible product!! I have such oily skin and this really controls it. The only reason itโs getting 4 stars is because if I miss even one day the oiliness comes back fast and hard. The only reason I skip it sometimes is if my skin is extra dry, but Iโve started just applying less on those days because otherwise Iโll wake up VERY oily. I only use it in the AM because my curology has niacinamide in it for the PM.
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution my absolute FAVE product ever. It stings a little bit but my skin was used to acids so I think thatโs why it isnโt painful to me. I use it about every 10 days or so because I feel my skin is still adjusting to the differin and curology. Iโve had it for maybe 2 months now? And itโs made my hyperpigmentation much much lighter and smaller.

My Holy Grail for Adult & Hormonal Acne
Iโm super excited to start recording and sharing my skin care journey. Iโve loved skincare since my teens and have always enjoyed trying new products, but being acne prone and having sensitive skin, trying new stuff hasnโt always been super thrilling! Now that Iโm learning more about some great brands (that sadly werenโt around when I was a teen) Iโm excited to branch out and try some more that will work for my skin.
I have combination and sensitive skin that really changes with the weather. Itโs really dry where I live, so even though my skin is prone to oiliness, it often has dry patches and even damage from the dry, winter air.
One problem Iโve been having for the past year or two is adult hormonal acne around my jawline. Spot treatments were effective for pimples with a head, but I could not get rid of the bumps that started forming under my skin along my jaw. Not only were they not going away, but more were appearing.
Then came The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Iโm not going to lie, I didnโt understand how to use this at first. I thought it was for pimples and it would get rid of my breakouts. I tried it a couple times and felt like it didnโt do anything and there it sat on my shelf for months.
But one day, when I was at a total loss with these bumps under my skin, I decided to spread some of this serum all over my jawline before bed.
The next morning, 75% of the bumps were gone! My skin was so irritated and it felt like this product was some magic eraser for this freaked out areas of my skin.
Iโve since learned a bit more about what Niacinimide and Zinc is supposed to do โ like calming irritation and reducing dark spots โ and I am totally in love with this product.
I now use this product AM and PM under my moisturizer, focusing on areas that have more irritation and dark red areas leftover from pimples.
Iโm interested in trying other Niacinimide serums, like the one from The Inkey List, but itโs likely I will keep buying this great product for a long time.

Looking like Stephen Kingโs โCarrieโ ๐ฉธ
This product has A LOT of hype, with good reason though.
I have seriously sensitive skin, apple cider vinegar burns my skin, witch hazel leaves me dry and red, african black soap gave me a sulfur burn, I get burns so easily its like a second nature ๐
Naturally, I was hesitant and a bit afraid to try this product, thinking that it would burn and leave my face super red. ๐ฌ
However, it didnโt! I was extremely (pleasantly) surprised that when I slathered it all over my face I only felt a tiny bit of a tingling sensation, but not burning at all.
Overall, my skin has seen a huge improvement over the two weeks I have been using it and I plan to continue to use it. ๐๐ปโค๏ธโค๏ธ
TUE / SAT in the PM for 10 mins ONLY on DRY face.
My skin is brighter, more even, I have less blemishes and my skin is becoming more hydrated with the other products Iโm using as well.
Do I like it? YESSS! Iโm about two weeks into using it (twice weekly) and I have noticed so much improvement in my skin texture and my acne. Iโm not using any acne medication right now and my skin is GLOWING. Iโm beyond excited to see how my skin looks after two weeks more. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
Price? The price is pretty cheap, its too good to pass up on โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
Recommended for? I would recommend this for all skin types except super sensitive skin, its worth giving it a try, but you have to be super careful not to hurt your skin.
Its very important to do a patch test first to make sure your skin is going to be okay and to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY. Do NOT exceed 10 mins and do NOT use on a wet face.
Overall thoughts? Honestly, I think this is a hyped product worth the hype. It has seriously helped my sensitive / acne-prone skin and I actually look forward to using it every TUE and SAT. I normally donโt like acids, but this is a great product with visible results. Just give it some time to work and follow the directions to protect your skin from damage. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Love from yours + the ordinary glycolic acid๐
I start using this product a week ago and I feel and see the difference.
Iโm always searching for a good product
my face is combination skin and so easy to break out, even sometimes water change or climate change can make my face breakout and it so upsetting me because I love travelling.
So I use several innisfree products before and I only can use Bija series, but I cannot use the toner, i use bija toner in the night and next morning the red spots come and I feel the acne come out.
I always looking for good toner, serum, and cream.
I bought The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but unlucky me, I canโt using the Niacinamide. The product make my face break out on the 3rd day of using this product
So I see an ads in Instagram about this product, you have to take an assessment about you and your skin first. They have a whatsapp chat so you can consult about your problem with theirs first before you buy the product
love from yours. - Day & Night Skincare Set
So I bought this set with doubt โcan this product suit me?โ
1st day: there is no significant difference but I feel my skin texture is better
2nd day: there is no irritation or acne problem
And I using it for a week and I pleased with the result๐
I hope this review can help anyone with the same concern with me๐๐

TOP 3 FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN
1. BLUME - Meltdown Oil for Acne-Prone Skin wow. Wow. Wow. Sheโs great. I use this product as a spot treatment directly on active spots. Also on budding cystic acne she breaks it down pretty quickly (1-3days itโs GONE). Iโve seen others mix in with moisturizer - my skin needs to soak this product in separately in order to actually gain the benefits of a moisturizer afterwards. I use this twice ++++ daily and I have NOT burned/over dried. Highly suggest if you have acne prone skin/combo/mild cystic acne like myself. The scent/colour is purely a result of the natural oils inside*
2. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% THE BEST VIT C serum I have tried. I mix this in with a moisturizer in the morning/evening and damn what a glow getter. Iโm on my second lil bottle and will continue to repurchase as not only the price point (which is a bargain at $10) but the very real benefits are astounding. Again, doesnโt dry me out. Helps immensely with uneven skin tone, REDNESS, dark spots/lifting acne scars. You will see results over time, remember exfoliating serums/products take weeks!! Just a few drops will do!!
3. The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane This was my first time introducing a retinol to my regime (hence the very low %, if youโre beginning I suggest this). A game changer. As Iโve reached a point with my acne where I feel itโs relatively under control (knock on wood) I felt I could begin a retinol and not fear the wrath of burnt broken skin. I have deep set wrinkles on my forehead/crows feet (thank u astigmatism) and use this product 1-2 times a week exclusively at NIGHT depending on how my acne is doing. My face does have a slight warmth to it directly after use but I promise it is not a slow burning of your skin. It is simply the retinol doing its job and driving blood to the surface for collagen production/cell turnover. This is another product where results take weeks to become visible but like anything skincare related, it takes its sweet time.
These are my HOLY GRAIL products. My skin simply cannot survive without them. I hope some of the info was helpful/informative!!!
