Soooo many companies are making clean and all natural skincare now. The consumer knows the toxins and gross stuff that has been added to skincare for so long and we no longer will tolerate it! Companies are CONSTANTLY researching for the newest and best natural skincare ingredient. 🍃Here are 4 that will be mainstream in the next few years.
TREMELLA MUSHROOM—-
The Tremella mushroom is a genus of fungi in the family Tremellacea that has water-retention capabilities supposedly superior to hyaluronic acid which holds more than 1,000 times its weight in water!!! This is the first hydration ingredient found to rival Hyaluronic Acid, a known anti-aging buzzword in the industry. Not only is the jelly-like fungi a water binding ingredient, it is also source of vitamin D, a free radical scavenger. It's been shown to lighten the appearance of skin, and it's moisturizing effects make them ideal candidates for cosmetics products.
KAKADU PLUM—-
This plum is an Australian fruit that is super rich rich in vitamin C. Although it is called a plum, it is actually more closely related to the almond. Data from Food Chemistry and the U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests that Kakadu plum contains 55 times more vitamin C than a Florida orange. Other data has surfaced that shows Kakadu Plums can contain 3000mg of Vitamin C per 100g of fruit. This is more than fifty times the amount found in oranges! This magical fruit is a powerhouse of Vitamin C which is a known antioxidant, and brightens the appearance of skin. 🍊 In addition to Vitamin C, this little fruit contains Vitamin E, a phytochemical called gallic acid that calms the skin's appearance and the minerals zinc, iron, lutein and folate, all of which are absolutely essential for healthy skin.
PLANT STEM CELLS—-
I know stem cells aren’t really new to the skincare game but expect plant stem cells (a vegan alternative) to really start popping up everywhere. Restrictions on the use of animals and humans in cosmetics have turned interest toward plants. Similar to animals, the stem cells in plants have properties that help stimulate and regenerate plants after injury. Animal stem cells are specialized to a specific body competent (example: liver stem cells build the liver but do not build the heart). In contrast, plant stem cells are more adaptable and able to establish stem cell niches in new locations building different parts of the plant. This difference is what makes plant cells application for human skin a real possibility.
Probiotics—-
These have already been showing up in skincare but I believe we will start seeing it much much more. The skins surface is a multifaceted environment, think of it like a city full of living and working things. Even though the top layers of the skin are dead, there’s an abundant population of microflora thriving there, affecting skin’s appearance, youthful or otherwise, every day. This is skin’s microbiome, and keeping it in balance is among the more fascinating parts of how probiotics for skin work.

Natural Skincare
I am extremely selective when it comes to skincare outside of professional + medical grade standards. I applaud those who live a vegan, environmentally friendly, +/or conscious of organic cultivation, so I do my best to have an opinion on this side of the skincare realm. Upon researching, I found Loli Beauty, a line that promises each of their products start with the purest, most potent, food-grade ingredients, are hand-selected + responsibly sourced. Coming from a Social Work background, I deeply appreciate that they support the stopping of people trafficking; for every purchase of $75 or more they donate $1 to organizations that are making a difference. The Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, is rich in omega fatty acids to rescue dry, irritated, + damaged skin. I use it on my skin, ends of my hair, + to hydrate dry cuticles! I did not prefer to use this on my facial skin, The Aloe Blueberry Jelly is a lovely moisturizer for oily, combination, or sensitive skin. The organic blueberry extract aids in healing blemishes, while the pure aloe vera juice delivers deep hydration. Lastly, The Tea Seed Elixir, which I use as a natural spot treatment. It contains ONLY five ingredients such as skin-plumping flaxseed oil, restoring apricot oil, + soothing camellia seed. #cheriecreator LOLI - Rosehip Seed Oil

Sodium Hyaluronate⁣💧
Sodium Hyaluronate⁣💧
Sodium Hyaluronate⁣💧 ⁣ I like to think of this ingredient as the older sibling of Hyaluronic Acid (HA)💧👫⁣ ⁣ It has all the same benefits but usually has a lower molecular weight than regular HA, allowing it to penetrate the skin further. It is also known to be more stable and less likely to oxidise💧⁣ ⁣ Do you prefer HA or Sodium Hyaluronate?💧👇⁣ ⁣

I would rather get coal than Caudalie SOS Serum
I would rather get coal than Caudalie SOS Serum
CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum First lets talk about the inclusion of fragrance-a cheap smelling fragrance at that. Second, lets talk about the fact that the serum most closely resembles a bodily fluid. Like why am I putting phlegm on my face? Third, lets talk about how the directions say apply to face without indicating how much to use. Very helpful. Finally, lets talk about how, after only the second use this morning, my skin started itching and then started burning and then turned a very attractive redish pink color. They say it is safe for sensitive skin but, quite honestly, I think they should pay me for the 20 dollars I had to put out for the SoonJung Barrier Relief Moisturizer because it is hours later and my skin still hurts even after washing the product off. In conclusion, if you like your moisture barrier intact I would avoid this product. I know many of you have had good experiences with it but this is the worst product experience I have had in ages. PS Pic is from their website.

Overtime Mask
Overtime Mask
The Summer Friday’s Overtime Mask is a dual-exfoliation mask, containing enzymes from pumpkin and physical exfoliation from apricot seed powder. It’s best fit for oily, combination, normal and dry skin types. I would never recommend it for sensitive skin. It is formulated without fragrance, silicone, and gluten, vegan, and cruelty-free. I love this clarifying mask because it helps with the uneven texture on my cheeks, without using synthetic abrasives. It has a tingle sensation from the enzymes and the smell is amazing! I leave this mask on for 10 mins, cleanse, and then sleep with a thick layer of the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask to add a boost of hydration to my freshly exfoliated skin! ☀️ Chill out with Sweet Chef
☀️ Chill out with Sweet Chef
Sweet Chef is the wallet friendly sister brand to Glow Recipe that’s available online and at target. Like glow recipe, they love to highlight foods as the stars of their products and each one features a food-vitamin pairing. Today, I’m going to tell you about their Sweet CHEF - Ginger Kombucha + Vitamin D Chill Mist It’s all in the name, but here’s why sweet chef has put these three front and center in their chill mist: Ginger - has allllll the antioxidants to revive dull skin and even out skin tone Kombucha - full of probiotics that improve skin tone and fight hyperpigmentation Vitamin D - the sunshine vitamin boosts skin health by stopping free radical damage From Sweet Chef: “give thirsty skin a burst of probiotic-rich hydration! The chill mist hydrated and cools skin for the perfect dewy complexion“ Price: $17 for 2.3oz Here’s what I think: ☀️ I use this like I use most mists, which is to say all the time. I love it between layers of my routine to keep my face hydrated in the morning and spritz it on throughout the day for a pick me up ☀️chill mist really does have a cooling effect that is super refreshing in the summer. ☀️ ginger kombucha is one of my favorite drinks and they nailed the smell with this one. This could be a negative for you depending on your preferences but I absolutely love it and find that it fades quickly so I really only smell it while spraying ☀️ one star down because the spray nozzle gives off big droplets so you have to be careful to really hold it away from your face ☀️ overall, this is a very hydrating, refreshing mist that’s a great way to chill out! Do you love lists as much as I do? Any favorites?
