If you are dealing with acne scarring, maybe this post will help! Acne scars are formed when a breakout penetrates the skin deeply and damages the tissues beneath it. During the healing process, the body produces collagen—a substance that gives the skin support. If the body produces too little or too much collagen, you will see a scar. Who is at risk for acne scarring? When a person Has inflammatory (swollen, reddish, and painful) acne. These often include acne cysts and nodules. This type of acne tends to penetrate deep into the skin, which damages the skin. Delays or does not treat inflammatory acne The longer a person has inflammatory acne, the greater the risk of scarring. Picks, squeezes, or pops acne This increases inflammation, which increases the risk of scarring. Has a blood relative who developed acne scars Genes play a large role. Products that are recommended by dermatologists: SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum SHANI DARDEN SKIN CARE - Retinol Reform Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner Dr Dennis Gross - Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula 30 Applications If you have tried over the counter products and still aren’t seeing any results, your best bet is to see a good dermatologist. They use the following treatments: Laser skin resurfacing Chemical peeling Dermabrasion Microdermabrasion (differs from kits bought for at-home use) Resurfacing works well for treating acne scars that are nearly flat (not too deep). Even dermabrasion, which removes the top layers of skin and some of the middle layers, cannot effectively treat deep acne scars. For deeper scarring, they sometimes use fillers. A dermatologist may fill acne scars with collagen, the patient’s own fat, or another substance. Many fillers give temporary results, which last between 6 and 18 months. Some fillers are permanent. Collagen -induction therapy, skin tightening, electrodesication, and even scar surgery are also used. The takeaway is don’t think that you don’t have options! Definitely give the products I listed a good try. It can take months and months to really start seeing results so you definitely need to be patient. If those do not work for you, your dermatologist has a ton of options ❤️ Remember that no matter your skin, you are beautiful!!!

My daily vitamin C
I’ve used a few vitamin c serums and I always end up going back to this. This product has some pretty mixed reviews but I honestly love and I’ll tell you why! First, why is vitamin C a good skincare ingredient? 🤔 Vitamin C benefits: It’s hydrating! Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, one of the main vitamin C derivatives used in skin care, has been shownTrusted Source to have a hydrating effect on skin. It decreases transepidermal water loss, allowing your skin to better retain moisture. It’s brightening! Vitamin C can help fade pigmentation (more on this below!) and smooth the skin’s surface to reduce dullness. This gives skin a youthful glow. It helps reduce redness and even out your skin tone! Vitamin C has also been shownTrusted Source to treat a huge variety of inflammatory skin conditions. Minimizing redness can create a more even complexion. It helps fade hyperpigmentation! Vitamin C application has been shown to impede melanin productionTrusted Source. This can help fade dark spots and lead to a more even-toned complexion. It can even help reduce the appearance of under eye circles!! PHEW! So now that’s it totally clear that vitamin C is a skincare hero ingredient, I’ll tell you why I love GOOD MOLECULES - Vitamin C Booster Powder !! Like I said there are mixed reviews on this product but I honestly don’t understand why. Vitamin C in serums can destabilize really quickly after opening and in sunlight but this powder form lasts a lot longer and you can add it to anything water based. Examples: Water based serums, essences, and creams! That means, cutting down on my skincare routine because the less steps the better! One common complaint with this product is that it’s grainy and sticky when applied. I’ve found that you do need to mix the powder very well in your (cleaned) hand and you need to mix it in a bit more serum than you would normally use. As long as I mix it well and let it absorb a few minutes on my face, I don’t have those issues. This product is only $8.00 for 20 grams and that will last you a WHILE. It comes with a tiny scoop so you know exactly how much to use and it’s fool proof. I use this 2x a day and it definitely brightens my face. It’s done well so far to even out my skin tone as well! There are other serums with vitamin c that I like but this is so much more cost effective and time saving! I usually mix into my Hyaluronic acid serum. If you love vit. C definitely give this a try!

Purrfect serum or nah?
First Impressions Review ✨ 💚I got this pretty serum at a serious prime day discount! It’s one I had my eyes on for a while! This serum is for blemish prone skin thanks to a balancing blend of kale 🥬, spirulina, and chlorella, plus a purrifying complex to help soothe and purify the complexion. Kale is packed with Vitamins A, B, C, and K, as well as antioxidants and phytonutrients. Spirulina is an anti-inflammatory and helps reduce swelling. Chlorella is loaded with B vitamins, magnesium and zinc, which help calm skin inflammation and promote healthy functioning. So a bunch of great stuff! 💚$25 regular price for 1oz. This is definitely a great prize for the size product you get! 💚 I honestly haven’t tried a lot of K-beauty products and I think I’ve been missing out! I’ve used this about a week now and only applying it to areas where I have some breakouts morning and evening. Since I started using it, I’ve only had one little bump come up and it’s made the ones I had less noticeable and they seem to disappear quicker than they normally would. It’s a super watery serum which I like and absorbs really well! It doesn’t leave my face sticky whatsoever and that one thing I absolutely love about it! So far, I really like this and it’s nice to have on hand for my problem areas! 💚 I’m not sure how this would work on someone with a lot of acne but I will say that I feel like this has made my skin more balanced and maybe less likely to break out. This being a first impressions type review, I will definitely update as time goes on. 💚I would love to know if you’ve tried this and what you think!!
I DEW CARE-Juicy Kitten Purifying Power-Green Serum
I did a first impressions review on this after a couple uses and now I’ve been using this a couple weeks so here’s an update!! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha I went through the claims and key ingredients in my original post so I’ll skip that part this time. (You can go back to my first post for info 💚) I’ve become OBSESSED with this spray! It’s taken the place of my hyaluronic Acid serums because it has it in this spray. It’s so much faster and such a quicker absorption time. I use after cleansing my face as a toner/ha serum. It has no scent and the mist is super fine. I’ll spray a few times and then pat in. I’m not sure which ingredient it is maybe the ashwaganda, but it’s seriously calming to the redness in my cheeks while keeping me hydrated and plump. I even use this as a setting spray as well! It gives a dewey look and makes my skin less oily every time I use it. I am 100% buying the full-size within the next week or so because I will be very sad when the sample size runs out LOL. As far as what skin types this would work with I think it would be great for all skin types including sensitive skin. It’s super gentle and kind of checks all the boxes of what I think a skin care spray should cover. Oh I am absolutely loving the youth to the people brand as well. I love that they are also involved in activism and everything is super super clean and natural. I HIGHLY recommend this spray and if you aren’t too sure whether or not it will work for you the refillable minis kit is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time! Have you tried it? 💦 I would love to know your thoughts!!!

My skin journey- why I’m creating my product
My skin changes every day! Before I started to develop my skin care line I could never get a grip on my skin. At that time I was doing IVF procedure so the hormonal treatments did not help! My goal was to create an adaptable skin care line that changes with your skin needs. I believe just like food your body craves different nutrition, well so does your skin!! If you want to be part of my upcoming skin care line and try it before anyone else please let me know! I am so happy to get it out into consumer hands besides that I am running my own clinical study and the results have been amazing 😉 Hope to work with you personally and help you get the right ingredients for your skin ! I know how happy skin looks like and if your skin is not happy unfortunately it shows :(
Niacinamide Highlight ✨
I have sensitive combo skin that is acne prone and lately I’ve been loving Niacinamide. Niacinamide is great for large pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness and early signs of aging. There’s a common myth that it cannot be mixed with Vitamin C but this is not true! Here are my favorites. Naturium Niacinamide $16 for 1 oz Key Ingredients: Niacinamide, Zinc, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E 🌸This serum is a recent favorite for me. I find it highly affordable and effective. It’s a liquidy gel kind of texture that doesn’t leave skin sticky. It also has Zinc which is anti-inflammatory, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E for hydration. This is a definite repurchase for me. Paula’s Choice Niacinamide Booster $44 for 0.67 oz 💕Another one that I enjoy is this booster from Paula’s Choice. This can be used by mixing it with a serum or moisturizer. This is VERY liquidy so it’s probably best to mix prior to application. I do like this and find that it works but I prefer the Naturium one a bit more due to price and texture. They also have a 20% Niacinamide booster which is of course meant to be more effective that I’m curious about. Krave Beauty’s Great Barrier Relief $28 for 1.52 fl oz Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide 🌸These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This is a favorite serum of mine for healing skin. It is packed with great hydrating ingredients and is a good product for a damaged moisture barrier. This is a thicker serum compared to the others and has lots of hydrating ingredients like sunflower and tamanu oil. This is affordable and will be a repurchase for me. Often times, I use this as a second serum before moisturizing, especially if I’m wearing a mask all day! Hair Loss Be Gone!!!
Hairs are perhaps one of the most fundamental and noticeable aspects of personality, and beauty. We all love long, lush, and flowing flocks; with a healthy sheen and a gleam to leave the onlookers in awe. All it takes is just one look to fall in love with beautiful hair and to wish them as your own. Perhaps this is why many people suffering from hair loss fall into depression, as they are slowly losing a part of themselves.
