A Product I Can’t Live Without: Benefit Cosmetic’s “Precisely, My Brow” Pencil
My eyebrows have always been light and sparse in some areas, and for the longest time, I didn’t even try to fix them or fill them in at all because no brow pencils were working for me---that was until I found the Benefit Cosmetics® Precisely, My Brow Pencil. I’m no expert at shaping and filling in my brows, but this product is so good that it almost makes it look like I know what I’m doing! I have the mini version, which is slightly less expensive and doesn’t come with a spoolie brush on the other end. Since I don’t have many eyebrow hairs to begin with, it’s important to me that each pencil marking looks as natural as possible (since I don’t have a ton of real hair to blend the pencil marks). This eyebrow pencil has a very fine tip, which allows me to create “hair-like” lines that look incredibly natural---it looks like I was born with full brows! In this side-by-side comparison photo, you can see how much more shapely, defined, and even my brows look when they’re filled in with the Precisely, My Brow Pencil---without it, they’re very light, shapeless, and nearly invisible. When my brows are filled in, I feel as if my face is framed correctly---I feel so much more put-together. Not only does it look natural, but it doesn’t smudge at all, which is important for me because I don’t like worrying about touching up my makeup throughout the day. I’ve found that The Precisely, My Brow Pencil lasts the 12 hours that it promises---and sometimes, even more. It’s safe to say that I’ll never use a different eyebrow product because this one is that good. If you want natural, effortless, defined and beautiful brows, then you absolutely need this product!

MAKEUP I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: BROW GEL
Brows make SUCH a big difference for me! I love the way brows define the face and always manages to make me look a little more “put together”. With all the video-calling I’ve been doing during self-quarantine, my brow gel has been my #1 necessity before hopping on video! I love a fluffy and full brow look so a volumizing brow gel is my go-to! Currently I’m using benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 4 and I love that it tints and “beefs” up my brows with its whipped pomade-texture. My brows don’t need much in terms of actual brow hairs so I’m always looking for a good tint of color!

The brow gel I can’t live without
I mean, I think the before and after speaks for itself! A few quick swipes of the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel and my brows are defined, fluffed, and filled in. This is by far the vest brow gel that I’ve ever tried, and I’ve already ordered a backup. I’ve tried several other brow gels in the past from drugstore brands, and while they did an okay job of fluffing you the hairs that were already there, they weren’t able to fill in sparse areas so I still had to use a brow pomade first. While I do sometimes still use a pomade if I’m wanting an even fuller, more defined look, I’ve really been loving this gel on its own for a more everyday look (FYI: it looks great on video calls!) Like all MILK products, this is vegan and cruelty free. It contains cannabis seed oil to nourish brow hairs and avoid flaking, and the fibers are heart-shaped which apparently helps them adhere better. I like the shape and size of the brush—there have been a few times when I’ve accidentally applied too much and looked a little smudgey, but I’ve learned that as long as I wipe off the excess product before applying, I’ll end up with the right amount. I honestly don’t know how this makes my brows look the way they do, but I’ll keep buying it because it works far better for me than any other product I’ve tried. This is $20, which is definitely more than the other products I had tried, but it’s so worth it to me.

I can’t live without a tinted brow gel! 👀
A tinted brow gel is just one of those products I can’t live without. My brows are pretty thick by themselves, but the hairs are super long and fluffy and need a gel that can hold them in place all day while adding some volume. Enter: COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Gel in brunette! I mean, just look at the before and after...are you KIDDING? Night and day. Colourpop’s tinted brow gel comes in a handful of shades, so while it’s not as diverse as milk makeup’s kush brow gel, for an affordable brand it provides basic options for everyone. My favorite part is that it actually HOLDS your brow hairs in place. *Cough cough* glossier boy brow *cough cough* and the tube legit lasts forever. I think I’m getting down to the end of the tube and it’s been over a YEAR! Also, it doesn’t have a weird/chemical smell. Thankful for that! It’s not too thick or goopy either and is easy to disperse through your hair. Sometimes if I want a thicker look I’ll add in some brow penciling but for daily use this is my go-to! I highly recommend picking it up if you’re in the market for a new brow gel. It’s only $6 (WHAT) so if you don’t like it at least you’re not wasting a ton of money! 5/5

Promise I don’t hate Colourpop! $7 brow MAGIC
I realize all my Colourpop reviews have been overwhelming negative! But this product I am totally in love with! I really like benefit’s brow products but hate paying that much! I found this dupe for Glossier’s Boy Brow on Brandefy and it really gave me the fluffy thick brow look that I love! If you like really natural thick looking brows I highly recommend this product! I have a lot of brow hair but it’s mostly almost clear blonde lol so the tinted one is perfect for me. It also doesn’t flake off like the NYX one does for me. COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Gel

Colourpop Brow Boss Pencil in Ash Brown
COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Pencil Before I found this pencil, I used to use a Stila brow product that doesn’t exist anymore that’s similar to the new Glossier Brow Flick. I got sick of spending so much for a product that ran out of ink so quick. I tried out the Colourpop one when that came to Ulta and I could try out the shades. I picked up the Ash Brown shade and it was a beautiful match. I use this to fill in my arches and give a little bit of definition and on top of it I’ll usually use the Milk Makeup Kush Brow. It’s one of the few brow products that actually make the ash color ashy. I use this to lightly shade, I’m too lazy for doing the individual strokes, and it lets me press as heavy or light as I want.

Can’t Live Without It: My Fave Brow Gel!
I have always had very thick eyebrows, until I decided to tweeze them all off at the age of 13 because everyone kept teasing me about them! I wish I had known how much thick brows would come into style just a few years later. For the longest time I tried to grow them back out, and they always just looked awkward and patchy, and I could never get them to lay the right way. They are already super dark, so any imperfections are very easy to spot. I tried filling in my brows for a while but that made them look cartoonish. I had tried cheap brow gels in the past, but they always made my brows feel stiff and flaked everywhere. When I got a Sephora gift card for my birthday last year, I thought I’d try out a higher-end brow gel. I ended up purchasing the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel and OMG- it transformed my brows. Somehow the perfect amount of gel always ends up on the end of the brush so that I do not have to wipe off any excess, and it doesn’t make my brows stiff!! It lifts them into place and makes them look so much more voluminous. It lasts all day without flaking. I love this as a product I can use on my no-makeup days that isn’t noticeable but still helps me to look more polished. It is a little bit pricey for a clear brow gel at $22, but this is now a product that I know I can’t live without!
