bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation
I grew up with acne-prone skin, so I was always on the hunt for a healthy, soothing foundation that would cover breakouts without causing more to pop up! And thankfully, I found the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation after a long and exhausting search (and I’m never going back). An Incredible Formula for Sensitive Skin I’ve been using the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation for nearly ten years, and I can say with confidence that I will use it for at least ten more. The ingredient list is a whopping six words long, which is impressive considering that many other foundation products are ridden with chemicals and fillers that do your skin more harm than good. If you’re looking for a pure, effective foundation that’s gentle on your skin, then you should consider adding the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation to your everyday makeup routine. Its light, pigmented formula provides beautiful, buildable coverage that looks incredibly natural and healthy. I always joke that this foundation feels like my “second skin”---it’s nearly undetectable, and sometimes I forget that I’m wearing face makeup at all. The bareMinerals line also boasts an incredible shade range, so you’ll have no problem finding one that matches your skin tone. I use the shade “Medium C25.” On top of that, it’s formulated with SPF 15. So, if you’re like me and always forget to apply sunscreen, this foundation will save your skin from sun damage. Talk about the perfect all-in-one product! How I Apply It I’ve heard many people say that they don’t like mineral foundation because it doesn’t provide enough coverage. However, I beg to differ---the bareMinerals powder foundation gives me flawless, full coverage, but there is a specific way in which I apply it. Using a dense face brush (I find that kabuki brush or a flat, dense brush work best), I buff the powder into my face in circular motions. I concentrate on my cheek area first, then I move to my forehead, and finish by blending it down onto my neck. If I want more coverage, I repeat this cycle and build the color in my problem areas. Here’s a closeup of the brush I use. You can see that the hairs are very dense and stiff, which allows me to buff the powder into my skin and achieve an airbrushed look. If you use a flimsy brush (such as a blush brush or an all-over complexion brush), you won’t be able to concentrate the color and achieve the coverage you desire. So yes! Full coverage is possible with powder foundation---you just have to use this technique to achieve it. Do I Recommend It? ABSOLUTELY! The bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation is extremely gentle on my skin and provides breathable, airbrushed coverage. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin at all, and it gives me a beautiful, natural complexion.

Marshall’s Haul: Deals and Steals!
If you guys aren’t going to Marshall’s/Ross/TJ Maxx occasionally to peruse their skincare and makeup sections you’re missing out!!! Here are the deals I got (product reviews to come). The pimple patches were actually found at Target, a friend recommended stickers because my skin is too sensitive for acne treatment and I only get the occasional hormonal spot here recently. $7.99 USD alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch I have been wanting to try FAB’s tinted moisturizer foreverrrr because it has colloidal oatmeal in it which is amazing for my eczema! It is normally $28 though, which is steep for a tinted moisturizer. I got it at Marshall’s for $15.99 IN MY SHADE! Very excited to try this baby out. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 I love pawpaw ointment! It’s a great multipurpose balm to have on hand (similar to Aquaphor) I haven’t tried this fancy brand yet, I usually use Lucas’ Pawpaw (thank you Australian camp counselor friends) but have heard great things about Dr. Pawpaw (UK-based). This 100 mL tube is usually $25 and I got it for $3.99!!! Dr. PAWPAW - Original Balm And for the STEAL I got Bareminerals original mineral foundation that is normally $32 for $5.99!!! Fun fact, Bareminerals was the first foundation I ever used and I’ve been curious to try it again since I’ve been having so many issues with my skin. Going to try that natural look out again and worst case mix it with a moisturizer if it’s powdery. bareMinerals - Matte Loose Powder Mineral Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Reviews to come! 💕 Oh and didn’t have time to do the lashes today fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Covergirl Skin Milk Foundation
COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation I know a lot of people got this for PR but I bought this with my own money because I saw it came out and I’ve been using other versions of covergirl foundation for literally years. This is a very very very dewy foundation so I would not recommend for oily skin unless you’re into looking extremely dewy. For my dry skin, it feels so thin and non drying, while giving a totally naturally dewy finish. I personally really enjoy how natural it looks. It doesn’t build at all so if you want heavy coverage this is not it. Best suited for a casual type look. Once again, this didn’t break me out (but CG has never done me wrong here so I was feeling pretty confident). I didn’t notice any smell when I used it so I don’t think they’ve used fragrance in this which I like. Biggest downside is that it does have a tendency to rub off at the slightest touch and as a result doesn’t last that long once it’s on. I’d give it a decent few hours but it is not a longwear foundation by any means. Would I recommend? Yes if you’re looking for a super affordable, easy to pick up, dewy finish foundation. Would recommend for acne prone, dry skin like mine for sure.

Best makeup for my skin tone
The RMS uncover up in the shade 22 is a perfect match for my skin tone! I’ve never been able to find something that matches me so well. The formula is super creamy and lightweight. I love that I don’t have to set this and that it provides beautiful medium coverage. I love that it’s a clean product and that it doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out. It’s super long wearing- it’ll last through an 8 hour work day and then some. I love the satin finish- it’s not too dewy or matte, it just looks natural on the skin. I’ve been using this product for about two months and it’s become a staple in my makeup routine. I’d highly recommend if you have dry skin like I do.

Blur liquid is acne-friendly for me
I have had hormonal acne for the longest. I try not to wear makeup often because if i dont use the right products, i get a reaction and/or I breakout. Milk Makeup is one brand i found that has been acne-friendly. Love this blur liquid foundation! It’s an oil-free silicone-free, lightweight foundation that helps minimize the appearance of skin imperfections. It has a thick serum like texture that is easy to apply. A little goes a long way. And give me the perfect amount of coverage. I have used this for months and have not experienced any drying, breaking out or patchyness. It stays on all day which I’m so happy about. Would recommend and repurchase for $40 per 30ml tube.

Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation
The COVERGIRL - TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation has honestly been one of my favorite drugstore foundations I’ve ever tried. I normally don’t like matte formulas but this one just works for me. Despite the shade being just a touch too yellow for me, it looks really natural overall. It blends out really well with a sponge and just looks very natural without being cakey. It doesn’t stick to my dry spots either which is rare for a matte foundation. I would easily say this can work for any skin type, dry and oily both. It has never aggravated my acne or made my skin feel heavy with the product on either. In terms of longevity, it lasts most of my day. By the time I get home from a full day of work, it’s looking pretty thin but not too bad. If you’re doing a lot doing the day or touching your face it might fade a lot faster than it does for me. It applies really smoothly and spreads across the skin easily. It tends to go on rather thin. I think you could build it up if you so chose but I think it’s probably just best suited for people looking for a moderately matte, light formula that still lets your skin breathe underneath. I have repurchased this multiple times and it’s my go to daily foundation.

Flawless Favorite Foundation
A really nice very natural looking foundation when applied onto the skin. A vegan & oil-free full coverage foundation with a weightless formula & modern matte finish to help absorb oil & shine while smoothing over imperfections. I have tried different foundations over the years but I only have a couple favorites and this is one of them. I love how natural it makes my face look. It’s the perfect thing to add onto my skin even I’m when I’m keeping it natural. I got this foundation when I was OBESSED with Tarte products. This is a new bottle because I ran out of the I had before so I just repurchased it again. This foundation is $39 and I got it from Sephora. The foundation has not made me break out nor once leaves my skins looking clean and very smooth. I enjoy using this product so much. I give this 5 Cherie stars and would recommend it to everyone. It’s comes in many different shades so you won’t have o worry about not finding the right shade. 100% guaranteed that you will love it. Swipe to see a picture of me wearing it and how it looks on me!

HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION ✨
SKIN TYPE: acne prone, combination, dehydrated PRODUCT: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Shade: 4 (light skin with golden undertones) I am super late to the Armani Beauty foundation hype but I am so glad I tried it out this past year! I have been searching for a noncomedogenic foundation that would smooth out my skin without clinging to my dry patches from eczema or exacerbate my acne. I’ve tried SO MANY foundations that claimed to do just that but either made me super oily at the end of the day, highlighted my dryness, or made acne worse! This has been the only foundation that has made my face look amazing and clear with a finish that looks just like glowing skin! I’ve applied this with my fingers, a dense brush, and a sponge and it always applied beautifully without wearing out or oxidizing throughout the day. And it matches my skin tone perfectly. For CosDNA lovers, it currently only has dimethicone with a rating of 1 as a potential acne irritant but other than that, nothing!!! At $64 for 1 fl oz. or $42 for 0.6 oz this definitely is one of the most luxurious products on the market. However if you’re willing to splurge or if you’ve been desperately searching for THE FOUNDATION after trying so many, I definitely recommend you give this a shot! 💕
