Goodies from Good Molecules

I am sooo skeptical when trying out skin care products. I saw so many good reviews on this brand so I decided to try. I only been using these products for 3 weeks and I am shook!! They are really good products and they actual work. Let’s start off with my favorite product so far GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum
My dark spots have faded soooo much. I can’t believe it’s not even a month and it’s doing the damn thing. I haven’t had a pimple n a few months after clearing my acne and once the pandemic began I have been getting maskne. I would say 1-3 pimples a month. I have been using this serum in my AM/PM routine and once my pimple heals there is no mark left behind. If you have a hyperpigmentation you will love this! It’s key ingredient cetyl tranexmate mesylate is what helps even out the skin. It also has niacinamide, and is fine to use with Vitamin C. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner
I been on a hunt for a good toner and I think this is the one!! This is a toner is sooooo good! It has vitamin C ,abrutin, and licorice root extract which helps brighten the skin. I think it works really well with the discoloration serum. Being that my dark spots have faded so much I know these two products will leave no dark spot behind 🙌🏼🙌🏼 GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder
This is a very gentle exfoliator. It doesn’t irritate my skin in any way. After using my skin looks so nice and smooth and I see a glow. It truly brightens the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling dry. After using I follow up with the toner, then discoloration serum. This exfoliator can be used up to 4x a week and a little goes a long way. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment
This is a pretty good exfoliating treatment. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t used it much. I use tretinoin at night and it shouldn’t me mixed with this treatment. So I do try to use at least 1x a week. I can say its pretty good. It’s very gentle and does not leave my skin feeling dry or irritated. Have you guys used these products or anything from Good Molecules?? If so what have you tried and how do you like them?

lex_luthorI use the Niacinamide Brightening Toner almost every day and love the Overnight Exfoliating Treatment. Good Molecules is good stuff and so affordable! If you’re looking to try another of their products, I love their Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches! They wake my eyes up without adding any sticky product and feel comfortable and cooling in the under eye area!

I had to change my routine from day to night
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CHANGES I MADE ... I have approximately 10 days with this routine that has helped me a lot, I see my skin now and I am happy 🙂 I am missing a lot but today I know what I need and I have just enough and what is necessary, we do not need all the ingredients, only those that help you something and help your skin I am happy with the ingredients that I have and I will not change anything else! my day routine is always the same it never changes to me, it worked for me LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser I don't have much to say, I just love it 🥰I don't have much to say, I just love it 🥰 GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner This tonic is all in one I like it and it has helped me too✌🏻🥰 #Geek & Gorgeous - aPAD 20% Azeclair Serum[products]#[FiveStars] this azelaic acid serum was my total salvation since I started using it look at how my skin was changing I love it its texture is super light it absorbs in seconds it does not burn it does not itch I love it I am delighted🥰 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + 10% Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum I like it, I feel that it gives me a nice glow, it leaves my skin smooth and luminous, it looks healthy and it is not sticky, it has not irritated me, the truth is that I do not regret having bought it facetheory - Supergel Oil-free Moisturiser M3 It is super light, you have to give it a few seconds to fully absorb it does not leave greasy or sticky I like it 👍🏻 HELIOCARE - 360° Gel Oil-Free SPF 50 UVA/UVB Sunscreen I like it if I like it I'm finishing it, the only bad thing is at the beginning but I've gotten used to it.. I use all these products during the day and my skin does not react badly and above all I have not got any more pimples I have no more redness and I do not have itch either, the truth is this is what helped me, I am fine with the products I have, if I find something that I like, I'll keep that! But if I wanted to try something else, I do it very carefully, but at the moment my skin is better than before with these products.

Found a picture of my 1st skincare collection
I was going through my pictures this morning and I found the picture I took of the very first skincare products I ever bought. I had masks etc. before this but this was the very beginning!! The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I love this toner! It really does help with the texture of my skin and the price point is awesome with the amount you get! The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser When I first used this wash I really loved it! Now that I have tried many others, I don’t love it as much but it’s not the worst cleanser by any means. GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum This is a very great HA serum and another one at a great price point! The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I have seriously bad eye bags because I never sleep well, this serum does reduce them but I’ve recently found other products that are even better. My husband uses this for dark circles and there has been no difference. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment This is a super gentle chemical exfoliator, if TO serum is too strong for you, give this one a try. You definitely wake up with much softer skin! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The cult favorite and I love it! It works and does everything it says! Definitely be safe with this one. No more than 2X a week. The Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA I cannot RAVE about this enough!!! This serum is the one that seriously reduced my deep forehead wrinkles. This is definitely one you should try if you are trying to reduce the appearance of yours! GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil This is a perfect addition to your routine if you struggle with dry skin and are trying to use things that are anti-aging. Plus it’s amazing on lips too!! GOOD MOLECULES - Vitamin C Booster Powder I know there are mixed reviews on the do it yourself powders but I actually really love this one. As long as you mix it well into a water-based serum it’s awesome and you can skip a step in your routine. These are all really good products especially for a skincare beginner! If you have any questions about these let me know! ❤️
Good molecules serums
Been using this bundle for a couple weeks and I have formed enough of a impression to review it. Hylauronic acid- so I don’t think I’m a hylauronic acid person, it makes my face produce more grease because it just looks weird during the day and at the end, but hey if you’re looking to try out hylauronic then this is definitely a good way to try it’s a great price point too! Like $8 I think around there. Overnight exfoliating treatment- now I love this one especially after I wear a mask for 8 hours it does make my skin smoother and a bit brighter but you can only use it 2-3x a week and I wear a mask so often I need to exfoliate everyday I use that mask or my skin breaks out. Definitely would love if I could use it more often during the week but this was amazing I did like it a lot, worked great and was only like $12. I liked this more then the farmacy honey glow exfoliator. Niacinamide serum- I barely noticed a difference using this. My pores looked the same, I did use it before I put a mask on for work and my acne went down a bit but not enough for me to consider using is all the time. Didn’t improve my texture or anything like that but if you’re looking to try out a niacinamide serum I recommend this one. Again super cheap and it’s better to try out things when they don’t cost a lot to see if you like it or not then buying a $50 one and finding out it doesn’t really do anything. Overall it was a good set- nice and cheap just didn’t work for my skin particularly
Chemical vs. Physical Exfoliants
Why exfoliate? The dead skin cells on your face dull your complexion, clog your pores, and cause breakouts—and sloughing them away is the first step to brighter and smoother skin. Exfoliating is basically a part of the basic skincare regimen. The most common exfoliating products are topical scrubs—physical exfoliants. But if you are feeling more serious than ever about your skincare regimen, then consider switching over to a chemical exfoliant. These work much deeper and far more effectively than a superficial scrub. Some of my favorite physical and chemical Exfoliants are: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution PETER THOMAS ROTH - Peptide 21 Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder TATCHA - The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder pixi - Peel & Polish Let me know your fav exfoliant in the comments. Would love to know!
Youth to the People dreams ☁️🌈
Me: DRY skin in winter (combo in summer), very sensitive/reactive/allergic, currently acne prone, also have a nose that is very picky about scents Onto my next bunch of brand minis, I tried the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - With Pride Minis Kit Overall excellent kit for the price, all good products worth trying, and generously sized minis! Least Favorite: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial This one was just kind of anticlimactic for me. It smelled nice, it worked fine, it didn’t bother my skin, but I also didnt see much of a difference? Overall good physical exfoliator, but maybe physical exfoliators just arent for me. The next physical exfoliant I’m trying is the GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder Second Place: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I liked this cleanser. As a dry skin person I was SURE this would be too stripping, but actually it wasnt too bad! I am definitely more of a creamy cleanser person, but I can see myself loving this in summer. I like the ingredients, and i like the green juice smell. Overall ~4.5 stars. My next “green juice” cleanser to try is the Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser The Absolute Best 😍😍😍: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask literally a dream. Hydrated and glowy and smooth and so much more. I’m realizing that it is quite hard to get both hydrated AND glowing. This smells delicious and makes my face feel like a baby’s butt in the morning. Absolutely 10 stars all around. I’m trying out another vitamin c sleeping mask (KORRES - Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Facial) but honestly, I dont even know why because i should just take the plunge and buy the jumbo size of this dream mask ☁️🌈 How do you feel about YTTP? I’m curious to try the moisturizers. I love the green smell but I’m guessing the superfood air whip moisturizer will be too light for me. Any dry folks who have tried both? Also need to try the superberry oil, especially if it smells like the mask! Also, which of their two eye creams would you recommend trying? Leave it in the comments!

EXFOLIATION 101! How, what, when & why!
EXFOLIATION 101! How, what, when & why!
PHYSICAL VS CHEMICAL + SERUM VS SCRUB VS TONER! Which will you choose?! Hi everyone, welcome to Exfoliation 101. Let’s jump right into the lesson! 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭? Exfoliation is the removal of old and dead skin cells on the surface. AKA it’s how you get rid of dry, flaky, and crusty skin. 𝐰𝐡𝐲? Exfoliation removes the layer of dead skin cells that often clog our pores and keep our skin care products from penetrating deeper into the skin. Essentially, you should exfoliate to reveal brighter, softer, and healthier skin. Your serums and moisturizers will perform a lot better. 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧? 2-3x a week MAX. Over exfoliation can cause irritation and breakouts! I personally only exfoliate 2x a week for my dry skin. 𝐡𝐨𝐰? PHYSICAL - granular particals like powders, sugar, oatmeal, fruits.. etc. * scrubs can often be abrasive and do more harm than good. Always be gentle, stay away from your eyes, and don’t over do it. I recommend physical scrubs that have granular particals that are gentle and or dissolve. CHEMICAL - Acids in the form of serums or toners! * There are many types, so read below to find which one might fit your concerns best. Skip a few days in between use and WEAR SPF! ✦ AHAs > Glycolic & Lactic Acid. * works on the skin surface. Mainly helps skin texture. Can be synthetic, but mostly derived from fruits. ✦ BHAs > Salicylic Acid & tropic Acid. * deeply penetrates pores, helps skin texture & unclog pores and remove excess sebum. Ideal for acne prone skin. ✦ PHAs > Gluconolactone & Lactobionic Acid. * less irritating. Doesn’t penetrate as deep as AHA/BHAs 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬↴ GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder The best gentle physical exfoliation. + made from rice powder! Just add water and start to *gently* scrub away. + also includes pineapple enzymes for some chemical exfoliation as well. + great for sensitive skin & exfoliation beginners. + brightens and smooths. + all skin types. + affordable! $18 FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum Multi-tasking overnight serum with chemical exfoliation BHAs + AHAs and more. + great for texture, hydration, brightening, and clarifying skin. + helps enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, breakouts, dark spots, firmness and skin elasticity. + 14% AHA, BHA, flower acids. + NIGHT TIME ONLY. + rich and silky texture. + doesn’t sting or burn! (I have sensitive skin) + $58. Best bought in a set for a bargain. iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Down To Tone Resurfacing Toner Exfoliating Toner Chemical exfoliating toner + 6 acid blend ( basically BHA + PHA ) + exfoliates, clarifies, and brightens. + helps with acne, texture, & dark spots. + use on cotton round. + Use 2-5x per week at night, work your way up to daily use. + tingles + $22

Honestly one of the best chemi
Honestly one of the best chemical exfoliants I have ever tried! I love the @kravebeauty kale-lalu-yAHA. It’s 5.25% glycolic acid and it works so well and removing away dead skin cells and leaving behind more even toned and healthy skin. I’ve been using this regularly for almost a year now and I have seen such improvement in my skins overall texture and appearance especially with hyperpigmentation. It’s very gentle and I have found that I am able to use it almost daily if I wished to do so. It’s a great product from a great brand with an amazing message.
Cheap Glow Must Have!!
Cheap Glow Must Have!!
I have combination oily skin that occasionally gets dry when the weather changes or just randomly when it decides to. My skin concern is acne scars (why my skin looks dull). I mainly have them along one side of my cheek. I received the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner as part of a giveaway I won on Instagram and another one as part of a PR package from them. . Key Ingredients: Niacinamide (visibly brightens and improves the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, dullness and blemishes), Licorice Root Extract (Soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production), Naturally Derived Arbutin (improves the look oh hyperpigmentation), and Stable Form of Vitamin C (boost’s skin’s ability to defend itself against free radical damage and promotes collagen production). . Scent: None . Consistency/Texture: Liquid . Price: $14 for 120 mL / 4 fl oz . Experience: I have been using this a couple times a week for two months and have noticed an improvement in my acne scars! I use it typically 3-5 times a week (sometimes in the morning, sometimes at night, depending what else I’m using in that routine). After using it for this long and often, I still have about a fourth of the bottle left, so it definitely lasts a while. I’ve used it with both cotton rounds and as suggested using your hands and patting into skin and enjoy it both ways. It doesn’t sting or hurt at all, I love that it’s an alcohol-free toner. I’ve also noticed that even though I’ve still gotten some breakouts, I haven’t gotten as dark of scars afterwards. . Repurchase/Recommend: Definitely, it can be used AM and/or PM. It targets all of my main areas of concerns, like uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores, while also strengthening your skin barrier’s function. It also corrects the look of hyperpigmentation and soothes inflammation, while having Vitamin C! My skin seems to love this, plus I love how it’s so budget-friendly, will definitely purchase it!!

Hydration sensation!!
Hydration sensation!!
This product.....what can I say. An essence is not essential to your routine but if you are looking for some extra hydration, this stuff will do for a great price. It’s only 23 dollars and you might be able to find it cheaper outside of Ulta. Cos rx is a Korean skin care brand and they are really big on essences. It’s made from 96% snail mucin. I try not to think about it actually because it’s so slimy but it absorbs into my skin like a dream. It fits into my routine wonderfully. I have combo oily normal skin but it can be used for any skin type I think. I’m not sure about sensitive skin though honestly.

INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: 3 Ways to Pair Niacinamide
INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: 3 Ways to Pair Niacinamide
Who needs wine pairings 🍷 when we can pair skincare?! Niacinamide has been talked about a lot on Cherie so I won’t bore you with the details but here are some thoughts! What’s up with Niacinamide? 🧴 Also known as vitamin B3 found in a diet of meats, fish and veggies. While rare, B3 deficiency can lead to pellagra (including scaly skin). 🧴 Derm research says it boosts collagen production, smooths wrinkles, reduces hyperpigmentation, fights acne, speeds epidermal growth and repairs skin barrier. 🧴 Synergistic when used with Vitamin C, arbutin and kojic acid 1. Niacinamide as a toner. ($14) Product: GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner Paired with : PURITO - Pure Vitamin C Serum VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM Comments: This is my full proof way of getting niacinamide no matter what. This toner is thicker than water in consistency, intensely hydrates without it ever interfering with the application of my other products. The toner also contains vitamin C and arbutin- consistent with the research support their synergism. This method allows me to have actives in my non-serum steps of my routine as well! 2. Niacinamide as a first serum step. ($6) Product: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Paired with: dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Toner Comments: I used TO’s niacinamide a while back and was never in love with it. I could never assess its effectiveness because the formula sat so tacky on my face (especially when I layered other serums) I’d end up rinsing it off within minutes. This went on for months. Even though the shelf life is 12 months, I’ve also noticed that the product is increasingly more drying upon application. It leaves white soap-like streaks when I try to spread it too...I could never get it to agree. However, I do know that many swear by this serum so I wanted to add this in here as a comparison to the next serum I’m about it mention! If you’re pairing this, I’d say using it with a simple toner and no other serums. 3. Niacinamide as a layering serum/moisturizer. ($8) Product: THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum Paired with: I'm from - Rice Toner PURITO - Pure Vitamin C Serum Comments: Compared to The Ordinary’s famous niacinamide 10%, I have to say The Inkey List has a seemingly thicker BUT much quicker absorbing formulation. While it still sits sticky initially, the feeling goes away within minutes and I am effectively able to pair this with other serums and even sunscreen. I use this after my vitamin C serum and before SPF. The product still sits shinier than I would like but for $8, it was definitely worth a try! The packaging is extremely travel friendly, so I can keep it in my bag at work for a midday skincare reset. Cheers🍷

Skin care routine
Skin care routine
After countless hours of research I found my current skincare routine. As mentioned in my previous post I have pretty oily skin with large pores and texture issues being my biggest skin problems. I discovered an app called Think Dirty that breaks down the ingredients of different skin care, beauty, and household products and gives them as rating based on how good the ingredients are for your body as well as the environment. HIGHLY recommend checking it out but be prepared that you may find some of your favorite products really aren’t that great... As for my routine: In the mornings I wash my face with HONEST - Gentle Gel Cleanser which I love as it is super gentle but still feels like it is really cleaning my face. It has super clean ingredients and smells nice. Then I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner This toner is fairly gentle. I had been using the ordinary toner which is a lot stronger and always made my face burn so I like that this one is a bit more chill plus it has extra ingredients like niacinamide and vitamin C. After that I apply the HONEST - Hydrogel Cream since I have oily skin I wanted to use am oil free moisturizer and I’m obsessed with this one. It is super light weight but really feels like it hydrates. If I am planning to go outside I use the alba BOTANICA - Mineral Sunscreen, Sensitive, Fragrance Free, SPF 30 I chose this one because it had super clean ingredients and I am sensitive to normal sunscreen so I had to find a mineral based one. It’s not greasy and doesn’t leave a white residue or anything so I’m super happy with it. In the evening I again wash with the Honest cleanser and apply the good molecules toner. Then a few nights a week I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment I’ve only used it a couple times so I haven’t noticed a huge improvement but my skin seems a little less uneven texture wise so I think as I continue to use it it will really help. I gave it 4 stars because it does burn a little but that’s expected for most exfoliators... At night I also use the GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum and GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil both of which I like so far! The oil makes me skin super soft and I think with continued use both will show good results. I then use the honest moisturizer and head to bed. When I want a little extra exfoliation I use either the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which I really like and has definitely help my texture or the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay (not pictured) which is my savior for my pores. I recommend doing a half water half apple cider vinegar mix because it can be a bit intense with straight vinegar. I highly recommend all of these products so feel free to comment for more info!!!
